The Three Worst Bodybuilding Tips Ever Bodybuilding is a unique sport. So many paths lead to results that we are simply left to argue which is most optimal. Things like drinking a tuna shake and training until you puke come to mind, but those are unique acts of stupidity. In. When it comes to achieving your fitness goals, the worst thing you can do is enter the gym without a plan.

These three basic fitness tips deliver consistent results, but they could be missing from your workout plan. The three areas in question are compound lifts, mobility and form. It is surprising. Take a look around your gym: You’ll probably see some fellow gym-goers hammering out these exercises.

But that doesn’t mean you should too. These crazy common moves are, at best, ineffective—at worst, dangerous. Here, the moves—and exercise machines—you should ditch from your workout routine, according to trainers.

Today we present you the worst bodybuilders in the history of bodybuilding. This video represents only our opinion and it can’t be perceived as objective. Here is the list of the worst bodybuilder. #Top10 #Bodybuilding #Injuries In this video we countdown the TOP 10 worst Bodybuilding injuries of all time. *Discount Codes* -Body Analyzer 1 Scale Discoun.

40. Do not ever exercise and train in poor form. If your form already deteriorates during a set, immediately stop the set.

41. It’s false advice to tell you that you should perform bench press with both of your arms flared out to a 90-degree angle. In fact, it’s one of the worst things you can do for your shoulders. 42.

The following 3 tips/rules are essential in not only making success, but limiting the risk of potential pain and suffering. Learn Proper Form/Technique: Possibly the worst thing that can happen is encountering a debilitating injury due to ignorance of learning how to execute lifts correctly. Don’t Train Against Pai. These tips come from long time bodybuilding coaches, knowledgeable conditioning experts, registered dietitians, physical therapists, experienced personal trainers, and elite multisport coaches, and are good bits of wisdom to keep in your back pocket no matter what your sport or goals.

1 / Know Your Limits. Seriously, know your personal limits. Tips listed here are imaginary and it is the most common worst qualities any job seeker might possess. They are, 1. Be honest to an extent: Whenever you answer your worst qualities try to not give cliché’s answers like “I am too perfectionist or I am a workaholic” kind of answers. Any interviewer would easily grasp that you try to make.

  • How do the judges get chosen for these events? Looking at the judge the got knocked out his loafers, it’s clear their not chosen for being retired “hall of famers”. It’s gotta just be some weird, old, pervy trust fund inheritors that have a gay fetish for guys that look like their biceps have become a large inconvenience in their ability to put food from the plate to their mouths using utensils. Anyone have actual knowledge of the judging process as I’m actually curious after watching that tickling competition documentary on HBO where a old wealthy gay guy fucks with the lives of countless dudes trying to make a buck not knowing what they were getting themselves into…

  • I never watched one of your videos till now….I stopped after the 3rd time you interrupted yourself to promote your supplements. Training till failure is bad? Lordy Lord.

  • Anabolic steroids for gaining muscle mass Drugs for gaining muscle mass can significantly increase your results in bodybuilding.

  • As a trans guy… this doesn’t sound bad at all. I’m already depressed, and facial hair and lower voice is a good thing. Probably cheaper than testosterone anyway.

  • You guys are cool, I just saw u guys earlier today at the gym I train at and funny how people think you yell all the time but in person listening to you off camera totally different. Hope to get a pic next time.

  • This is my 3 worst tips I’ve seen for bodybuilding:

    1) You need high doses to become a pro. (Absolute BS)

2)you can burn fat and build muscle at the same time.(it’s impossible regardless of what your diet or training or drug use is like)

    3) you will make a living in bodybuilding. (No one does, they personal train on the side or have day jobs, very few can earn a decent living on sponsor ships alone and those only go to the top 6 guys in the industry per divison, which is a lot harder to get to than you think)

  • That first synthol leak was nasty as fuck but I would think that it leaking puss from your delt would hurt but the way that the guy handled it was just honestly kinda funny he just walked off stage lmao

  • Hopefully performance enchancers will be safe in the future, without any negative sideffects. I believe this is totally possible since medical technology is improving everyday

  • What about “PULL-OVERS”? I remember I was going heavy one time and suddenly I heard a crack inside my right shoulder. After that, my flexibility of that shoulder was always less than of the left one. Is this really a productive exercise or something to be recommended to others?

  • That repelling injury was no freak accident, the man is a giant. Just because you can lift huge weights take steroids eat and get buff doesn’t make you a well rounded athlete. It actually truly pigeon holes you as an athlete, my grandma could have repelled better than that man and she is clumsy. I wouldn’t call it bad luck I’d call it a lack of wise choices.

  • 50% of gym goers use steroids? After hearing that, no sense in continuing to watch the video. These guys clearly don’t know what they’re talking about.

  • With roids I did few cycles and got really little to no sides except for really pungent fierce smelling flatulence and that was why I stopped doing them. I train at a gym, I don’t have the room for lots of equipment at home. In busy gym I had several hugely embarrassing flatulence incidents e.g. one time there was a lot of girls in the gym who had just come out of an exercise class, I was doing squats on smith machine and started doing really violent sustained farts and at first they laughed though some looked disgusted but as the really foul pungent smell hit them they moved away and some even went outside just to get fresh air. I was so red faced, I actually went to the locker room got changed and went home. So seriously beware of really powerful sustained flatulence that has a very strong pungent smell that hangs around for minutes, that might be no big deal if you are at home training but if at a public gym be wary of that! After I stopped roids cycle I never got such flatulence again so it was definitely caused by doing them.

  • Does Erectodom Secrets really help to solve your erectile dysfunction problem? I have read many good stuff about this popular erectile dysfunction natural treatment.

  • Agree with all except the presses behind the back. As long as you use a weight that you can handle, it’s a great exercise. Going too heavy will mess you up. Been doing that for half a century, no problems. Don Howorth agrees.: )

  • When I started doing construction at 16 everybody told me to take good care of my knees and don’t be jumping off a high things. 10 years later I’m definitely feeling it in the knees! You got to listen to what them old-timer say LOL!

  • Ya you can keep doing your half ass effort I’m gonna die and come back to life every set everyday for the rest of my life. Because we are all gonna die someday and you might as well be a FREAK!!!!

  • Great video my shoulder is ruined from behind the nech presses also I contrabute a lot of it to side lateral raises using a cable running behind my back aways do side lateral rsises with the cable in front of you regardless of what your 25 year gym instructor says let him ruin his own shoulders.

  • training is 100%, diet is 100% and supplements are supplements. So bodybuilding is 200% ATLEAST!!!!! I got the idea, but do you even math bro?:)

  • yo man stop blasting your wife on camera, and cut it out with the perv statements, clearly she’s uncomfortable when you say shiz like that, show some affection god dammit its 2017; unless its a front and makes her monkey go crazy lol.

  • marc just uses youtube for advertising. As far as Boston Lloyd, He’ll end up just like dallas mccarver. “choking on food” while having 4 times the size of a normal heart and liver oops double the dose some more

  • I’m 46. I’ve been working out since I was 13 I do all of these movements I have zero injuries Mike O’Hearn is also a good example we are all genetically different you can’t pigeonhole people when it comes to working out.

  • (I guess I am giving up leg extention with heavy weight)..I will just to stick to Squats, Bulgarian Split Squats, DeadLift, Calf Raise, & light weight Leg Extension on my leg days.. ☺️

  • I thought i would hear something new. But this is all old knowledge. People who don’t know this, never bought a bb-magazine or had a trainer. Also don’t go heavy on your shoulderexercises, you have to pump blood in there. Maybe the only one to go heavy is a dumbellor barbellpress. And the worst exercise, he didn’t mention, namely “around the world”, this one really destroys your shoulders.

  • That they are playing with their phones isn’t the issue, that they disturb me, and other serious training people, is the problem. With other words, kick them out of the gyms.

  • @Jerry Brainum you should make a channel dedicated to best exercises for each muscle group. Based on your knowledge and experience.

  • Great info, I’m a subscriber to your channel and have a question regarding what you said about using light weight for leg extensions to finish a leg workout. I’m 38 and just had a total hip replacement for my left hip. I couldn’t work out anything below my waist for 4 months due to the pain while I waited for surgery. This combined with 2 additional months of recovery time after surgery, resulted in me losing all the muscle in my legs.

My surgeon said I can never do squats/deadlifts/rack pulls/inverted leg press/lunges ever again if I don’t want to ruin my new hip. So what do I now to build back muscle in my legs? Squats were the only thing that seemed to work for my genetics, but the surgeon said something about my hip anatomy is off and that’s dangerous for squats. Leg extensions are all I have left to train my quads, but they hurt my knees when using enough weight to cause any hypertrophy, and if i reduce the weight I get no results. Any advice? I really need some help. Thanks

  • Dear Jerry,
In 1:20 when you say that some people train with poor form, not extending and contracting on exercises, do you mean to say that all forms of restricted movement training is wrong? In other words, aren’t there some exercises that produce greater effect when trained in certain (positions of flexion)? I thought that this type of training is ok and even exceptional especially when one includes several exercises for a given body part which, overall, will cover the entire range of motion for that body part. Your further thoughts on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Best in Health, Wesley

  • also i think squatting with plates under heels is not the healthiest thing in the world.and yes i know olympic shoes do exactly that…

  • #5 almost happened to me on the basketball court. I jumped as high as I could to block a shot. The guy that I was trying to block bumped me in the air. I came down, head first. Lucky, I still had my arms up in the air. My hands and elbow hurt for days afterwards. I can laugh about it now but…

  • If you do the alternative upright row, will it still work out the traps? My traps are a weak point so doing the upright rows helps me train the traps and I’ve noticed a difference in them.

  • I used to respect you until I saw the video you did on kratom which was full of half-truths and ill-informed falseties. Now i dont know how much if your material can be believed.

  • Very true, just hit 37yrs old and have been dealing with major knee pain issue because of Hack Squats. Hack Squats at 800lbs knees not in the correct position thinking I would work out different muscle groups if I did both versions inside and outside. Paying for that mistake. Had the same mentality as every kid when I started, twenty years back, I thought I was indestructible.

  • That shortened muscle position is called “Active Insufficiency”. It results in a muscle cramp. Love Ben Pakulski.
Couldn’t possibly care less about the insecure, out-of-his-league Mike Chang.

  • don’t believe everything you hear. The press behind the neck is fine as a muscle building exercise. However you have to do it properly. Lighter weight to keep the reps in the range of 12-18, and NEVER DO FULL RANGE! EVER! ON ANY EXERCISE. STOP BEFORE LOCKOUT, JUST LIKE THE BENCH. ND NEVER GO ALL OF THE WAY DOWN. STOP AT THE BUMP ON THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD!

  • Imagine seeing that last one irl, 100% sure many people thought it was a joke or trick or something, its so surreal that someone kills themselves in that way.
Like no way that just happened.

  • It’s very nice to know that my experience matches yours I was able to predict every movement even the variations on the upright row matter fact I got to do those today. You sound like a highly educated and experienced person I’ve been at it for over 20 years and I’m pretty good but I probably don’t have your expertise yet. Thanks for being one of the few people and know what the hell they’re talking about. The world needs it now more than ever

  • Nutrigo Lab Regeneration is a nutritional supplement designed for professional athletes who want to support the body’s recovery process after training. Thanks to a large dose of proteins, amino acids and casein, it reduces muscle pain and accelerates the process of their buildup. The product is very popular among professional athletes, regardless of the type of discipline they practice.

  • Thank you…Thank you…Thank you!!! You are a incredible source of “Good…Valuable…Useful…VALID” information. Keep up the great work. I wish that both you and YouTube were around years ago. I first learned about not pulling or pushing weights behind the neck from Corey Everson on her TV Show. I would like to see someone like you telling the truth about the “scams” Doctors are pulling off with “a A fib”……Cardioversion…Ablation…Metropolol. eg.: The “doctors” had me on 10mg and kept bumping me up to 100mg and my blood Preasure went up to 185. I asked the “doctors” why was this happening? Their favorite comment was: “Daaaa I don’t know? Something told me to stop taking it. A week later after not taking it, I got a BP monitor in the mail. Guess what? My blood Preasure was and is perfect. Knowing this, my heart doctor prescribed Metropolol. This is the doctor that prescribed and did the Cardioversion. My heart rate has always been around: 65-70. Now it hovers around: 85-90. I e -mailed a picture of Marty Feldman standing over Frankenstein in the lab and said: “I thought that I would send you a picture of a earlier version of Cardioversion. I see that it hasn’t improved much. Has it? It goes on and on, but I have to stop. Thanks again for the valuable advice. I’m looking forward to more. Michael

  • Thank you sir, this was very helpful. I’m new to lifting weights and learning as I go. I’ve also had 2 back surgeries and have a very bad shoulder from a skiing accident when I was 19, I’m 48 now. I credit lifting with giving me some quality of life back, I was in a very dark place after a very dark divorce. Everything I read about working out and it helping with stress, anxiety, depression was 100% true. I just had to put in the work and change my diet. The strength and muscle size is only a bonus for myself, I workout 100% for the mental. Though I’m enjoying my gains and new look in the mitt or more and more. I’ve learned to love working out,but it hasn’t been the easiest process. There is so much bad info out there, and almost none on what you discussed here. I’ve been watching your videos only for about a week, but I’m thoroughly impressed and am going to subscribe right now. Thank you for your channel and knowledge.

  • What a coincidence. I don’t do none a that stuff. So like I’m watching this guy and I’m thinking to myself “Hey! I could do that”. Yeah. I don’t do any a those exercises and I don’t have no arthritis either. So this video is the pure stuff

  • Bad form is a major culprit. The exercises you mention have workrd for years for many. Check your form. Ive seen bad form everywhere, even by some developed guys. Id like to see how evryone giving bsd advice looks like.

  • Mike’s freaking towel home training is about this muscle contracting thing. Plus I dont think you need to know every theory for every practice. Just follow someone who has what you want, you will see results.

  • the worst exercises ever. very dangerous and no results. DONT DO THESE.. EVER.
    1. Squat.. bad for knees, makes the waist and hips too big
    2. Bench press.. bad for elbows, can tear pecs, and gives you droopy chest
    3. deadlits.. can break the back, once back gone, its over, doesnt isolate any muscle, waste of time, ego lift
    4. chin ups. bad for shoulders.. waste of time
    5. over head press, doesnt isolate anything can get hurt. BAD.

Please if you care about not growing dont do the above.

  • I agree with pretty much everything you said but when you called a wide grip upright rows I think it’s more like a high pull you bend your back over slightly otherwise your wrists are bent too much thank you

  • I really appreciate your advice jerry but what you say about behind neck pressing is wrong. Because you assume that everyone has impingement in a behind neck position, when only a fraction do. As many people have impingements in other positions like bench press and squatting but I don’t hear you telling people to avoid those. Lifters should learn to identify where they have impingement, where they don’t and how to deal with it. I Have no impingement on behind neck press for example but severe impingement on incline press making it almost instantly injuresome. I have impingement on bench press but can avoid it by using a narrow grip and doing special rotator cuff stretches. We are not all the same.

  • I never do leg extensions or hack squats. I do upright rows but I do it like Gironda said, shoulder width and no higher than nipple area, gets my traps extremely sore. I don’t do anything behind the back. I very rarely do any front raises

  • I need a discussion here.. Anyone out there, OPINIONS!!! i do flyes like Arnold did them. I go as low as my shoulder mobility can go. That way i never felt pain at all. Once i realized that form was asking for trouble i did scoobys style, flyes on the ground. I actually felt my front delt in massive pain bc the range of motion stopped at the shoulder level, i felt more of my shoulder doing the movement rather than my chest. What should i do! Like i know Arnold’s way is risky and i am 30 years old, i wouldn’t want to get older than feel the pain..but the safe way was hurting me real fast

  • Totally agree, all of these exercises are unnatural movements going against joints. But old school & amateurs still widely uses them though……

  • You are correct. we must kill the bad fat and belly first to get the 6 pack.

Listen to this do you know about the 7 odd foods that kill belly fat if you don’t know about them you must see this.

    i found it here

  • Deadlifts are of very little use to a Bodybuilder. I see twigs in the Gym pulling a heavy weight with no back development. However people still insist it´s a magical exercise.

  • roll your shoulders back and down and overhead presses are fine either in front or behind the neck this will prevent any rotator cuff impingement any exercise is damaging if done with improper form

  • Lmao…any exercise is better than nothing sir. Please cite papers. Cite scientific papers instead of regurgitating personal anecdotes and dogmas. The younger generation has moved on from that.

  • No doubt I completely agree! You are trying to go beyond what your body is telling you not to do. These techniques are eventually going to get a person injured. All of these techniques are so ridiculously dangerous, the risk is not worth the minor amount of gains that come from these techniques.

  • For legs, Light weight for extensions as warmup, no below parallel squat, no narrow stance for hack squat, go full range of motion for leg press

  • What about the Frank Mcgrath huge massive car accident that forced him to get triceps surgeries and his spleen removed and other things?

  • I ended up buying my cycle off. in the end a friend recommended on here. I was very skeptical at first, ordering it online so ofc I was abit worried like anyone would be. I had a lot..and I mean A LOT questions to ask, these guys always replied within the day on the live chat or via email and they were more than happy to answer everything without delay. One of the issues my friend had before when ordering online with other companies was the lack of correspondence and communication. It’s really important to give customers peace and they delivered just that. I ordered 3 test concord just to cruise on through the lockdown period, helped hold onto some gains. The gear took under a week to arrive which is super quick considering all the delivery delays with this corona situation. I’ve been able to put on almost 14 ibs even in lock down with little excess to a gym My strength, sense of well being,PRs,confidence..everything is through the roof. Prestige Pharma is LEGIT.

  • That was bad the Scott mandelson one ive nvr seen that before. Jeeeees that was hard to watch just angin that said its no surprise lifting weights the size of family cars when its quite clear its beyond you even as strong as you are with zero form ability. Your body just carnt match up with then snap!!! that was hard to watch though that being said shit lolx

  • Ben is actually brilliant in hooking up with Mike. Think about it. Whether you like him or not, Mike has 3 million + subscribers and his videos have hundreds of thousands of views. That’s great exposure for Ben.

  • Calum fucknut is there 2 times? And yet Frank McGrath was in a car crash that almost ended his career and almost ended his life? He did comme back but could never get the same mass he had.

  • the reason steroids have a bad rep is from all the yahoos abusing them and not doing them right. look at male celebrities 90% of them are on testosterone and your kidding yourself if you think there not. they are fine. if you dont abuse them you will be fine

  • The biggest mistakes I made in my younger years encompassed all of these and it is wanting bodybuilding results but working out like a powerlifter. Its easy for younger guys especially to get sucked into the cult of bench, squat and deadlift heavy or your a sissy. Funny thing is getting good at those moves doesnt make you look good.

  • It’s almost as if callum von mogers body is telling him he isn’t supposed to compete he simaltaneously has amazing and terrible genetics

  • Bicep tears are why I don’t do barbell curls anymore. They happen so often. Weighted chinups IMO are way safer and you can’t cheat. You’ll never hear of anyone tearing a bicep on a chinup.

  • Hold on. Why would you do a photo shoot with a very heavy weight without even having people that could help you out if u are in trouble

  • Jerry, your friend Ric Drisan and Arnold recommends a full stretch at the bottom of Dumbell Flys and that it is necessary for pectoral hypertrophy! I’m just curious on your thoughts with that or is that just Old School science? Also is it okay to do front deltoid raises with an external rotation of the hands or is the exercise in whole pointless? Thanks Jerry! Love your Channel!

  • Behind the neck is the dumbest and most mechanically awkward looking exercise. I stopped doing them after 2 workouts after someone told me try them.

  • I am a legit supplier of high quality anabolic steroids,HGH,weight loss supplement. And cycle available /products available in both tablets and injectable.
    Wickr…. (bliss123)

  • So what happens if you tear your bicep, Do you have to go to the hospital or can you just bandage it and wait it out for a couple months?

  • Saw a guy do hack squats and was getting out of machine. Put his foot down in the well and the carriage didn’t lock. The carriage with 4 plates came down crushing his lower leg and compound spiral fracturing it. Loudest scream and worst injury I’ve ever seen!

  • At the very least, honorable mention to hall of famer LeRoy Colbert, who’s tragic motorcycle accident prevented him from competing and quite possibly being one of the most famous and well known silver era bodybuilders, as well as eventually causing his death.

  • There are more than 3 million users in America. Odds are someone you work with cycles. It is a silent epidemic that people are not aware of, but it is actually extremely destructive to the user and the people within the user’s social circle. Most company drug tests do not look for steroids, so users find positions where they can comfortably cycle without fear of detection by testing. However, users are extremely easy to spot by men who know what it looks like.

  • That “alternative” form for that upright row is actually the proper form. Anything else is nonsense. Why would someone do it any other way?

Otherwise, agree with all the rest.

  • He is wrong about negatives and forced reps being dangerous. Generally they are safe. Some ballistic movements are dangerous but some are safe like Plyo movements.

  • Hey there, have you tried MUSCLEader (search on Google)? There you will find a nice free video explaining how you can build notable muscle really fast while losing unwanted fat at the same time. Chris and hundreds of guys with the same goal had great results because of this strategy. Hopefully it works for you also.

  • A few issues I have with this.

    1) Behind the head barbell press. Yes it is clear anatomically that the position in this exercise puts you are greater RISK of shoulder issues. Crossing the road also puts me at greater RISK of getting run over but I still do that. Why? It is risk assessment. It is clear that some people simply have better joints than others. Some people can bend their fingers back till they touch their forearm. If I tried that I’d snap my wrist.

I’ve also heard people say that wide grip pull ups aren’t good for everyone because the range of motion of the shoulders (in SOME people) isn’t very high. Yet they make out like the behind the head press is universally going to injure you. Yeah……

This guy has shoulder problems in old age. Assumes it is because of his behind the head presses. Has no actual proof. Now THAT is bro logic.

    3) Just because there’s more than one way to target the front deltoid doesn’t mean front raises are worthless. Do incline presses on chest day. Do front raises on shoulder day. Hitting the muscle twice over a split in different ranges of motion. Literally THE bedrock of bodybuilding.

At the end of the day bodybuilding in general is going to put a toll on your body. You can have the most “perfect” workout ever but if you do it long enough you are going to end up in trouble. Just look at Ronnie Coleman. Had a great career. Broke records. Now he’ll likely not walk unaided again. Yet he also probably had similar “wisdom” as this guy.

  • Tendons and ligaments are essential in terms of weight training. They are very similar in composition, serve different functions and significantly assist with the process of muscular extension and contraction…. On the other hand, tendons can become stronger than muscles and muscle ruptures can result

I’ve stopped doing anything behind the neck years ago when a female trainer told me that I shouldn’t. I’m glad I listened to her. Also I stopped doing upright rows a long time before that, I just didn’t see it making any sense. We must be careful with isolation exercises.
