Chest and triceps is a muscle pairing as old as the bench press itself, and for good reason. The pecs might be the prime movers in most pressing exercises, but the triceps are crucial synergists, or secondary movers. Hence, your progress on bench—as well as the growth of your pecs—can only go as far as your triceps will allow.

  • for some reason im always able to hit my front delt muscle, ofcourse i feel the chest and can pump but for example on stretching machine with sitting, i always notice a pain in my front shoulders that i hitting them more

  • Its not the chest being stretched…closer grip stretches the chest more because humerus can travel lower down before bar hitting chest. U have som great vintage broscience dude…..

  • You’re great at giving good exercises and tips but you’re too serious. You should be more like the hodgetwins or calum von moger or steve cook or something like that.

  • The introduction of Nautilus equipment in 1970 marked the very beginning of modern weight train technology. I hold the dubius destinction of being the person who purchased the very first Nautilus machine ever sold the Nautilus plate loading pullover machine. Those were exciting times in bodybuilding. Everyone was talking about strength curves, resistance curves, localized and systemic recovery… and then the whole industry turned to selling worthless suppliments You know the Magic Elixer Drink it and become Mr Olympia overnight. In reality, there have been no significant improvements in weight training technology in the last 45 years. Weight training equipment is designed for the lowest common denominator of gym members Joe businessman and Sally housewife and not for high level athletes or serious bodybuilders!! How sad. The pullover machine was designed as the first isolation exercise for the lats with the abs and pecs contracting in a secondary capasity.

  • I always like pushing the grip together on the over heard extension with the rope when i cannot do any more reps with hands at shoulder width, its in these few sets that i really feel my triceps blow up like balloons when you get the angle just right

  • Can’t tell you how thankful i am for this, finally got enough internal motivation to get rid of this weight, just gotta see it as integral to bodily function just like eating or sleeping. I have a question though, is this 15 minute workout sufficient enough in terms of the reps/sets and in 3 day split program using body weight and dumbells only? Is it ‘accepted’ to use lighter dumbells? i started with 10 kg on each but had to downsize to 5kg per dumbell, that way i can complete almost the full workout to absolute ‘failure’.   • Been doing local amateur body building competitions for the past year and I can’t believe I am just now finding this dude. Say what you will, but great exercises, delivery and variety. I played collegiate sports so I’m used to having personal trainers and workout programs. Since I graduated I don’t have access. When I’m not in competition mode I like to look at other workout videos and I must say, for a chest and tricep workout, this one is top notch! No worries about weight overload, just do comfortable weights to exhaustion. I’ve been doing this workout my last few chest workouts and I already feel and notice a difference. Def don’t hate on this dude and his methods! Great workout video!

  • @ 15:00 See Andrew’s arm angle, see how high and straight his arms are, he is working the upper part of his chest, getting that squeeze high up. You have to be pretty strong with that much weight. If you’re not that strong you’re probably would have to raise the bench a bit to keep that angle with less weight of course. That machine in the back ground to Andrew’s back right is the prefect angle.

  • Agreed cables are often better for tris both burn and far less soft tissue strain…there are actually a number of pulley triceps moves that achieve this.

  • there are no exercises that will ‘make your chest look a certain way’.
    Your pecs can grow in muscle mass and you can lose body fat, everything else is entirely
    determined by your genetics. FACTS!

  • i get that some people like to arch their back on the bench but you have to put your ass on the bench. this guy is just on his feet doing bench press and incline. and the main force should not come from your feet. if you actually lie on the bench you will use your chest muscles more.

  • Not to be a hater but sometimes it’s better to go 20kg lighter, touch chest and stop when you fail and no more than 1 extra rep with spotter. I personally don’t think anyone below elite level should even consider going to absolute failure since they have no control over their core to keep it properly braced through the struggle and therefor can damage the lower back.

  • First exercise.. You dont arch tour back on incline press. Because if you do, it changes the angle back to the same as flat bench.

  • I hate that my gym doesn’t have the fly machine with pads. I remember feeling a good pump from that one and it doesn’t kill your shoulders like the regular machine flyes do. I never get a good pump from dumbbell flies (not as good at least) so I prefer the machines but they destroy the front delts so it’s a no go nowadays.

  • Tried the much wider grip on the incline bench and woooowee does that work. Currently got a bit of impingement in my shoulder but this doesn’t bother it at all.
    Well worth a go if you haven’t done so already
    Lower the weight a bit, pause at the bottom and do it niiice and slow. Ma tiddies are loving it
