It refers to the tendons moving away from the muscle’s center (i.e., the muscle belly). Crazy ppl are also ‘away from the center’; hence the usage in this context.

  • Hi, i am 29 years and I train (weightlifting) for almost 13 years. Since 1,5 years I started to feel pain in one of mij shoulders (joint pain) and since a few months my other shoulder is the same, during training I can’t do a lot of exercises I used to do, I feel pain and also the feeling that mij bones come together and make really bad noise. Also just moving around I feel bones come together and cracked noise and feeling like I can’t move my shoulders any further. I have the same feeling with my right knee a few years but the last moths it is getter worser. (Pain, and cracked noises)
    Do you have experience with this sort of problem? It is like joint wear or arthrosis?

  • This is a scam, you cannot get good posture (let alone perfect posture) with 10 minutes a day. Good posture is a result of your musculoskeletal system being as originally designed. Meaning all your muscles need to be both strong and flexible. By working out each muscle in whole your body and also lengthening them by stretching.

    Obviously this cannot be done in 10 minutes a day. Furthermore, the amount of training and stretching each muscle need is different per person and dependent on what other activities you do or dont do. So there is no one size fits all solution, let alone in 10 minutes.

    Posture is a very big problem for alot of people and basically a result of not maintaining your body. This cannot be fixed with a quick and easy solution. Just try this “method” and see for yourself, it won’t do anything except get this video views.

  • I would add that contracting the glutes helps getting your back flat and it gives a better contraction of the mid back. When you are weak, you tend to overarch the back to help you pull the band.

  • Just found this video, definitely going to start tomorrow (It’s very late at night right now for me)
    I’ve essentially been sitting my whole life, never really ran around and played as a child, never have done sports, was homeschooled so I didn’t even need to walk between classes. I don’t have any mobility issues, but spending essentially my whole life in a sitting position means my shoulders are incredibly weak and my hip flexibility is so minimal that my hip flexors and hamstrings can get hurt very easily just by pretty regular movements that go outside of my usual routine (even just bending over to pick something up can be a challenge, and yes I am positive that it’s just extremely bad posture and not a true medical problem, no worries). I know I don’t look great either although I’m less worried about that and more worried about developing genuine mobility issues when I’m older
    I’m going to start very slow and gentle to make sure I don’t hurt myself, but if anyone’s interested in my progress I can update every couple weeks or something!

    Thick bois in the military.

    IDK about all branches but, I’m trying to go back into the Army and I do not meet the height/weight requirements. So, they take a measurement around the neck at the Adam’s Apple, and another around the belly at the button.

    There’s a goofy calculation that they use to come up with BMI based on those numbers.

    I’m 5’9 and 210 with a 16″ pencil neck and about a 39″ gut. I’m sitting at 30% body fat by the aforementioned calculation. I need to get to 24% so I’m going to try neck training. Again.

    Yes, I know the math is stupid.

    Takes a serious commitment, and you need to be able to safely recover when you fall off! I do mine on grass, a few inches above the ground.

  • Hello, I have a question about my calf growth if anyone can help me. I was born with clubbed feet which meant my feet came out backwards when I was born. When I was 1 years old I had surgery on both feet to get them the normal way around. I never had a problem after that but because of this I was left with extremely skinny calves and ankles, not proportionate to my upper legs or body. I have muscular upper legs and arms etc but my calves and ankles were extremely skinny. I had calf implant surgery almost a year ago and it did improve my calves a lot but my ankles and calves are still quite skinny compared to the rest of my body. I’m hoping that maybe workouts might improve this but I’m wondering if anyone knows if it’s even possible for me to gain much muscle there since I have implants and my normal calves and ankles are naturally extremely skinny looking. Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks.

  • I do not have MS and my question is not to disparage anyone with MS. I have extremely skinny ankles (literally no muscle with flat feet and also very skinny legs. I enjoy walking and would like to pick up jogging for CV conditioning. I am of average build and 5′ 8″. Here is my problem: I cannot perform standing yoga stance where I balance on one foot with opposite foot on my calf for no more than three seconds. Will these leg muscles develop my ankles so I can achieve balance and at the same time develop my shin muscles. I get shin splints when I walk too fast or jog. The pain of shin splints always sets me back. Will doing these exercises develop also calf muscles? I am not trying get bulky but to have slightly larger legs and stronger ankles. Please advise.
