  • Hey dudes, thanks for the comprehensive video. I might be a little late to ask but: I find when I’m doing an exercise variation typically done for higher reps (romanian deadlift, bulgarian split squats, hanging knee raises) my grip gives out before the muscles I actually want to work and I know I could get a couple more reps otherwise. You mentioned high weight being the reason to use lifting straps, but would high(ish) reps be a valid reason too?

  • quick notes, check you grip form when bench pressing, you are over-stressing wrists, that’s why it causes you pain, the bar should right above your wrist, keep your hand/palm neutral

  • On the knee wraps. The reason I don’t use it is because of the “underlying problems”. If my body tells me my knees are fucked up, stop, I am listening to my body. Call me pussy, but at least I am a pussy that can still exercise, even if I have to lower the weight or do something different

  • These are good for when you been going for a while imo beginners doesn’t really need belt or knee wrap until they start to go heavy.

  • TRX doesn’t have to be expensive. I bought generic ones (IRibit) for like $20 and just hung them on my ring cables. They are excellent for niche exercises (like ring curl, TRX crossovers, etc.). They might also increase difficulty of dips (you have one less dimension of stability than the rings: your wrists can roll)

  • great! adding a few extras:
    you can get TRX knockoffs much cheaper decathlon has them
    -resistance bands are absolutely killer and if you get 3 different sizes u can do tons of exercises, you can put 2 together to get double the resistance
    in addition to exercises and making things easier bands can also be used to make exercises harder, like pushups etc.
    -if you travel a lot then bands and TRX is the way to go you can take them with you nothing else can be carried around just as easily.

  • Hey dude! When you talk about the parallettes those first ones you show are designed to be likely used for push-ups. Various position of the parallettes will then activate different muscle groups while doing push-ups. Check out ‘power press up board’ to get an idea of this. I sort of agree with you that they are not the best piece of equipment and the bigger ones are hella lot better, but you are comparing tools with a different purpose.   • 6:45 so my left forearm and wrist are fucked up right now. I can only lift light, if I go heavy, holy shit it hurts. My forearm feels like it’s going to explode and my wrist, just fuck my wrist. Can I use the External Compression for my forearm and wrist for that nice stable compression to help me lift heavier? I haven’t gone to the gym in 2 weeks because of the pain in the wrist and the exploding feeling of the forearm when I go heavy.

  • So yes this is ALOT but for me these are essential as the way i train varies, also as this is also my job i tend to take things like camera /tripod everywhere with me and the laptop is just days i do 2 sessions in the same box which i use the downtime to edit etc… just wanted to show what i carry around with me whenever i head to the gym, BUT obviously you won’t need the extra equipment if it doesn’t apply to you! ��

    There not super tight or compressed but the keep the knee nice and warm and make the lift for me anyway more enjoyed
