  • Kris is legit. I have used his 12 wk trainings more than once. I have used my own drafted trainings, as well as other trainers. Kris is the most result based programs. Kris is also one of the smartest. His workouts along with you are legit as well. He practices what he preaches. Kris will also give you so much science based knowledge, gifted in each days training plans explanations that took him decades to develop. All we have to do is listen, write it down(scratchpad notebooks if you wish), do the training, and retain. If you are serious about wanting to use a training program than don’t bitch about cost. If you want it BAD ENOUGH(just like sweets, out to eating, shopping for materialistic things, alcohol, tobacco, pizza, list goes on and on). We just don’t think about it, or log our everyday routines. If you would, you WILL find there are a bunch of areas to cut cost to afford the supplements and groceries.     I lost 18 lbs in 50 days from keto diet. Everything they say is true today.
    But I kept my strength at 58 yrs old and out lift most guys in the gym. When I get to my target weight I’ll work on gaining size.

Research has shown that caffeine containing beverages do not in fact increase risk of dehydration despite of their mild diuretic effect (which habitual coffee drinkers become mostly immune to).   • What about when you can’t sleep a few weeks into Keto?

    I have take a small tbs of raw honey, tbs of coconut oil, and dash of pink Himalayan salt and am able to sleep and not effect ketosis.

    This feeds the brain, liver enough to sleep.

  • I’ve gained much needed weight on the Keto diet!! I’d been eating a vegan diet for years and ended up much too skinny and feeling lousy. I also developed a nasty, debilitating reaction to high histamine foods. After I began Keto I realized that on the vegan diet I was oil deficient, which probably was a major contribution to being imbalanced.

  • This all sounds very good and intelligent, BUT I have personally experienced, by coincidence following a low carbdiet for the last 14 days up to a competition, that the anabolic diet supposedly allowing WBF to be the first pro drugtested competition, beeing true to the bone and beeing the best to optimizing natural hormoneproduction.   • Have done this it is amazing how much better you feel after the initial couple of months. I am disabled with arthritis and four years ago I had to buy a ‘wheelie walker’ that has been in the cupboard since I changed my diet to high fat low carb. I have lost 60lbs (although I did not do it for weight loss) and I have halved my blood sugar count and stopped the meds for type 2 diabetes. I feel twenty years younger (I am 65). Do not worry about your cholesterol going up mine only increased by a miniscule amount. Try it and see the benefits!

  • I like keto, I like low carb I like intermittent fasting, but any healthy diet will keep you running, carbohydrates are not necessarily the evil, the leanest nation on earth is Japan that has a predominant carbohydrate diet, but moderation of quantity of food, they have also the best life expectancy about 84 years, and the diet is pretty much rice, soy and noodles with a little bit of fat and protein, fish is for especial occasions, the point is the basis is carbohydrates and they are lean and live long, so I would say any decent meal pattern will give you results, but the only 100% proved is eating everything in moderation.

  • The cravings for bread, rice, milk, pasta, etc. were really awful for me when I did this diet years ago…not sure I can put myself thru that again. Also it’s extremely dehydrating, extremely fatiuingdemineralizing affect on bone and hard on your kidneys. There are certain medical conditions that should not use this diet such as: people with cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, type 1 diabetes, gastrointestinal disease, osteoporosis and more…it’s not just one big green light!

  • Everyone take note, everyone’s body is different. Age, gender, hormones and body type combine with nutrition make a difference on what your going to be able to do which is why I don’t understand why he doesn’t address that here. Some people like myself have food intolerances and can’t eat everything he talks about here. Get to know your body and type. He talks about complex carbs but keep in mind carbs are going to make most people gain body fat, especially women, women do better with healthy fats low carb and men do better carbs other than fats. Some people do real well with them overall though just depends on you. Make adjustments through training if you gaining fat or the fat loss is too slow coming off or not coming off at all, go low carb. Don’t expect to look like kris gethin after 12 wks unless your a mesomorph body type and or already advanced. As you can see from his before pictures he has accumulated body fat cuz he got hurt and didn’t train for awhile but you can also see he has an excellent muscle base underneath so all he really needed to do was burn that extra body fat off and he was good to go. Good hint, find out your body or blood type and eat accordingly to that. I happen to need supplements cuz I fatigued to easily going hard and food wasn’t enough. Gotta know your body

For instance protein very inefficiently turns to glucose and “moderate protein” should be described as gms/lb of bodyweight so actually moderate is high side of ordinary diets. In short was a sloppy sloshy presentation. Cut it off half-way thru realizing was not going to get good info.

  • If you notice the comparison between the Day 1 and Day 84, he already has the hypertrophy and strength that most people think they will get from this workout. If anything, this workout cuts the fat off the body, something that HIIT and cardio can easily do.

  • i have personally followed this routine from start to finish, and i cant tell you if you follow it properly you will get amazing results. you will manage to both lose body fat and pack on substantial amounts of muscle at the same time. i went from 210lbs to 184 on this program with huge muscle gains (though i had a fair amount of muscle to begin with). The only thing i would say is not all the supplements are necessary. the only ones i used were the protein shake and a creatine supplement, nothing else.

  • Lol that cardio is like a step down for me. I do 45 -60 mins of elliptical every morning and play 3-5 hours of table tennis everyday for 5 days a week.

  • So this will sound stupid, but he keeps pushing fat doesnt make you fat. I would have to say I learned this back when i was dead broke. I worked a horse farm for pennies, and my meals would consist of Mcdonalds 1.00 hamburger, small fry and sweet tea. 3.00 meal, 1-2 times a day, ususally once. And with the active lifestyle( IE working my tail off) I was losing weight eating only Mcdonalds. it was then I realized, it was food content and activity, not just fat or carbs that made a difference. Im not saying it was healthy or even smart way to live, It was a lack of options thing, but it was informational.

  • I NEVER listen to their advice for nutrition. This guy is full of old outdated debunked myths. I have 18% BF (I’m female), run 7 miles per day, 5 days per week, and 12 miles 1 day a week and weight lift, short but intense sessions 6 days per week. I eat a Whole Foods Plant Based diet, around 80% carbs, 10% fat, 10% protein. Meat is totally unhealthy. I take ZERO supplements except B-12 once per week. I do not consume protein powders, BCAA or any of that garbage. That’s is all very processed and harmful to the body. I am currently training to become a Certified Personal Trainer. I hope to get out there and debunk all these dangerous myths that are out there.

  • One side-effect of a ketogenic diet – overly chatty and repetitive / redundant chatter. Is your mind really sharp? This guy is repeating himself a lot. A lot of keto people seem very repetitive. Which is to say, they say the same things over and over again. Just saying, this guy is repetitive.

And all the ones complaining about supplementsif you don’t want to buy them then don’t buy them, they SUPPLEMENT what you might not eat enough of when it comes to your nutrition. If you don’t call multivitamins a drug then stop calling these supplements a drug. Do your own homework, and again if you know it all already then why are you looking for training videos? Produce your own.

  • I need help I use to be a power lifter and at age 36 I was told I had a hole in my heart and had to have open heart surgery to close a hole in my heart I started out at370 and now I am 300pounds now and that was by half way eating right and trying my best to just walk I have some stuff going on with my right lung and may have to have a pacemaker put in I will not let that stop me I want to lean out and cut up what can I do to start to make my dream come true for me help me if you can do so

    When I started keto, it wasn’t clear for the longest time.
    I thought 75% of your FOOD was supposed to be fat, and I was always having a terrible time eating more fat, and never coming near that amount. So finally I learned it is 75% of your CALORIES, not total food, and that made a huge difference for me!

    very very little calories
    and about 6 hours working out a day ( i dont know how i survived but also i almost didn’t see any one family, friends etc because i either be working out or cooking my food )
    6 times a week
    and i have a cheat day that i would eat a tone of food when i say a tone i mean alooot
    in only one month
    i have lost 8 kg
    gained a lot of muscles
    and lost about 4.5 % body fat

  • This is interesting and for sure a ketogenic diet is the most effective for weight loss among other things; but I feel these two are trying to ‘sell’ the diet a bit too hard. I am a boxing athlete and using a ketogenic diet for boxing would be awful (I have tried), I know they mention that carbohydrates are useful for explosive exercise, but this isn’t the case, they are essential! Especially when you are competing with people.

    I feel a neutral conversation looking at facts from both sides and from a wider perspective would be more useful.
