Some of the best lame excuses for not doing something are ones that are ludicrous but sound almost believable. The dog excuse was actually used by a University chemistry student as an excuse for not turning up. The twinge excuse was used by.

  • I have a battle with my body that never ends. I had Grave’s Disease and lost tons of weight, then gained it back and more after my thyroid was removed. Then I started losing weight again, this time I was working out with my husband, but I was unable to build muscle. I found out a year ago that I had Celiac Disease, so I am controlling that, but since I had it for at least 6 years I am fat again!
    I am able to lift heavier,3 x/s per week with HiiT as cardio, I eat really healthy, but it can be depressing being so chubby. You inspire me to focus on my real goal which is being strong and healthy, so maybe someday I won’t be so chubby.

  • I am in my 60s, retired, sort of….but really active, music, art, working out and making and selling jewelry among other things. Most people think I am in my 40s. How did I do that. Eat healthy, cheat sometimes, get enough sleep, work out and keep active, keep learning, floods, moisturize and don’t listen to nay sayers that tell you you can’t do stuff. I love these exercises and have done similar at home. Now I got a few new ones. I too have used chairs, logs, tires, buckets, hung off pipes and stairs. I said ti today at the gym, to a guys working out, 62 and no excuses. I am doing the Illinois Warrior Dash in June again. Did it last year and loved it. Great work out Mike. Impressive.   • I got to play the old card on this. You can do workouts like this when you are free of pain/long term injuries, stretched well and got a jogger condition. I have nothing of that left, so it´s muscle training only, angry painful muscle training…. yeah, that´s it, I´m old now, just 36, but old and wrecked 36.

The workout speed and rythm is great, and you three are all in top shape and it is great to see you do the workout. I just failed miserably trying to do it myself the 1st time. But you are most of the time absolutely synchron. You trained the choreo, but if people should rather join in, it would be cool to have small icon like symbols in one of the top corners showing the basic movements.   • You don’t need afterburn fuel and such crap guys,your body already does the afterburn effect,all you need to do is do HIIT a.k.a sprinting for a short time 30s-1 min and steady walk for 2-3 min,do this for 30 min and you’re on your way to low body fat

  • Hey Erin, I’m a fit 58 year old. I’ve been stuck on a 3x week split, Chest day 1, Arms and shoulders day 2, and Back day 3, with some leg sets on all 3 days also. I’m at the age and also time constraint that three times a week is about all I can do. Is there anyway I can mix up my workouts and still get great benefits. I just can’t think of a better approach other than maybe whole body every day three times a week.

  • Muscle pain question here: When I’m doing dumbell press, my left tricep wears out before I can even get my chest going. Is this because of a lack of tri strength, or bad form? It’s really frustrating. Also I’m REALLY out of shape, like haven’t done anything in YEARS. And even then I never did much.

  • Mike was one of the few youtubers I watched when I first starting exercising (hodgetwins, scooby, and elliot hulse). But sadly I realized that I would’ve achieved so much more if he wasn’t. He always contradicts himself and one of his “exercises” almost tore my bicep: partner curls; keep curling to failure and pass the bar until you or your partner gives out… Yeah we don’t give up…curled for 45 minutes straight until our arms wouldn’t straighten. Honestly, his never changing decent body tricks the mind of so many young people who are looking to get fit. I really hope you find another thing to do other than YouTube videos… Please
