With this oblique exercise, you are also engaging your back muscles. Try giving this exercise a try by starting out with 3 sets of 10 reps. Incorporate these 10 oblique exercises into your ab exercise regimen. Try to add variation into your ab workouts.

Aim for doing half of these oblique exercises and increase the reps and sets as you deem fit. Nope, you don’t need a shred of equipment for a scorcher of a home abs workout. But what does this core-sculpting home workout look like, exactly?

This 10-move abs circuit workout. External oblique exercises help to tone your waist and to give you a stronger core — the region including your abs, obliques and lower back — which help support your spine. Include exercises such as side bends, side crunches, Russian twists and bicycle crunches in your oblique workout. Jeff Schultz, director of training at Pinnacle Sports Inc., swears by this oblique exercise.“It’s a great multi-muscle core strength and stability exercise. It hits the obliques, abs, and back muscles.” (Related: Why Side Planks Are the Best Obliques Exercise Ever.) A. Start by lying on one side, propped up on one elbow, keeping body in a straight line, feet stacked on.

Tack on these moves in your workout as is appropriate, or pair three to five of them together for a killer oblique circuit. And for a complete fitness program that will not only build your abs. Good for: core, abs, lower abs Instructions: Choose five to six exercises from the list below. Perform each for 45 seconds to one minute, then rest for. Strengthening your core muscles helps stabilize your body and support your spine.

Here are 10 exercises to try, whether you’re a fitness newbie or a seasoned pro. When it comes to getting a strong core, many people aim for six-pack abs. But don’t forget those side abdominals!

Here are 15 exercises to tone your obliques. 1. Lying Abs Hip Raise Circles Right 2. Lying Abs Hip Raise Circles Left 3. Russian Twists to Abs in and Outs 4. Slow Abs Bicycles to Leg Raises 5. Plank Marches to Plank Hip Raises 6. Alternating V-Ups 7. High Plank Shoulder Touch and Hand Touch 8. Lying Oblique Crunch Right 9. Lying Oblique Crunch Left 10. Alternating Dead Bugs. Some mottos persist because they are undeniably true. “Hard work pays off” and “abs are made in the kitchen” are prime examples of this in the fitness world.

  • Love you’re workout videos it always makes me bathe in sweat after every workout and if you kept working out with chloe it does indeed make you more stronger and fit. You’re determination is the only key on how far can you reach in a fitness journey

  • I only feel these workouts in the other areas I’m working. Like the windshield I only feel in my legs and the side twists only in my back. What am I doing wrong?

  • If you are interested in best program for building abs the best info that i’ve ever had was with the Toms Magic Shortcut (i found it on google) I found it the most useful method that I have ever seen.

  • I’m going to try this for a week. I’ve been rotating between different workout routines, but I’m not sure if it’s more effective this way or to vary them daily

  • I know this sounds odd…and obviously means I’m doing something wrong but I have hypermobility so in my less stabilized joints (hips and shoulders) there’s a high probability for a subluxation. I’m getting so frustrated because I’m starting from dough I had back to back shoulder surgeries. I just feel like every motion I’m doing is causing my hip or shoulder to slip, there’s an audible “clunk” when it slips back into place. I played competitive sports so I was always in shape, but right now I don’t even know where to start

  • Ms. Chloe I just wanna appreciate you, thankyou so much for your channel. You really help a lot of people like me. You are such a nice soul. I only wish the best for you and your future ❣️…

  • I want to lose inches on my obliques make myself smaller with a smaller waist… I’m trying to get a slimmer trimmer hourglass shapewill these exercises give me a box shape? are they better for men than for women?

  • Ok so I started working around two years ago u can say in 2018 bc I used to eat rlly bad and I wouldn’t rlly exercise but then I first starting doing choles workouts and they helped me sooo much get in shape but now I still do her workouts with other instense workouts and hit Cardio about everyday and try to eat a pretty healthy diet but foods I like and now I have more then just ab “ lines” but now I’m able to actually see abs and I’m sooo happpyyy bc I never thought taht was gonna happen so if ur trying to get in shape DO ITTTT start off slow and the more and more you do it the harder you can go without getting burned out soo yaa

  • am i the only one who never feels anything in my “obliques area?” this particular video never hurts where it’s supposed to. wtf am i doing wrong?

  • This workout is really good, girl i was out of breath . Your channel is really dope i love it, your content is amazing keep on doing videos❤️

  • So I just started the hourglass challenge this week and am on day 5… Is it weird that I’m looking forward to the abs video? Like everything but my abs is hurting and that just seems wrong so…

Edit: I hate the ab workout.

  • I think your butt needs to be down its up in the air when doing the planks. I know its hard to tell when you are doing them. Good exercises. Thank you.

  • I did this oblique workout this morning!

The most challenging exercise was the side plank with hip dips. It was such an effort to hold my body as straight as possible, but I soldiered on and finished the whole kit and kaboodle.

  • I have oblique lines, even though not very defined, but the left one is more defined and easy to see then the right one.. What can I do?? D:

  • Man I love crunches but every time I do it, my neck gets so strained it feels like I’m on the verge of pulling a muscle. Any advice?:/

  • Hi @Fraser! My son and me follow you everyday training, good job! A question: Can you tell us the title of the songs that you use in the videos? Thank you very much!!:-D

  • For all of you guys wanting a thigh gap look at Chloe. You can have skinny thighs but not a thigh gap. She does not have a thigh gap but she has skinny thighs. It all comes down to how far apart you hip bones are.

  • Hello Fraser, I discovered your videos during quarantine and I like them a lot. You helped me to keep myself fit and I even got stronger. I love your videos. I am 11 years old and I am Spanish. Could you upload an arms workout please?
    Thanks

  • More workout videos like this. No unnecessary long ass talking in the beginning that nobody gives a shit about. Right into the workout! Good work sir. Fellow youtubers can learn from you.

  • Hi Chloe! I was wondering if there’s an app I can get with that timer? By the way. I love your workouts and I’ve been following them for a while xx

  • First time watching a workout video.. working out in the gym rn but this oblique workout is really helping along. Glad I made a decision to use and to follow this workout.

  • Hey dude thanks for your telling 10 exercises for obliques I will try tomorrow for 30 days challenge and then i comment your channel what’s my results….love from India

  • Great content, let’s agree that circuit is too hot to handle and you yourself know that. How many times did you break in between? Change of mat position, lack of sweat does suggest breaks in between. Am going to try this without stopping.

  • Is this for advanced only if so yes? Any 1 have for me some exercises i need to do? I always start a full body warm up from my arms, head, legs and all down… then i start leg raises the most i can, then i do the crucifix 1 also the most i can, then i do leg futters and the zigzag with my legs also the most i can, then i finish with the plank… after the plank i do the most i can dumbel for my arms then i stop…. any 1 maybe have some good advice? What i should focuss on what exercises? I lost like 14 kg from the past 3 weeks or month… from 114 kg to a 100kg my goal is mostly to have no belly fat and no love handles anymore please any 1 can give me some good advice? Im now drinking only water and try and eat more healthy.. i have no money for a gym right now so i need to do home workouts… im tired of being called a fat ass u guys all inspire me

  • When I do the modified side plank crunches I always feel it in my legs and not really my core. Does anyone know how to do the correct form to feel it in you obliques?

  • At 0:43 rowan said enough talking lets get start… less talker but effective exercise..
One of the greatest fitness channel on utube..
Well done rowan.. i’m so happy to became a part of ur utube family

  • Hi Chloe. Thanks for these videos. Would pls be able to draw a workout plan down for me for a week? My target are my abs. This
will help me have an effective weekly routine. Thanks

  • I rly like your Home Workouts but i have 1 question is it possible too Reach the same goals with home Workouts as when you go into the gym?
You are just so cool stay Lean and pls do more ab Home Workouts

  • Thigh and/or booty workout next please. Thank you so much for getting to the point, or rather, making it a trademark of yours to get right into the action. Thanks so much. Love your channel

  • I have done this workout…….and trust me guys she is the best Youtuber ever…..
I just reccomend you that do these workout……you will definitely achieve your fitness goals

  • I come to this channel because your waist looks naturally small all the other white girls out there have itty bitty weird looking waists.I feel like all the other ons got ribs removed our surgery in butt, boobs, and waist! Keep up the great work!

  • No cap, this works lile magic, at least for me, I have done half of this yeterday and another half today, my love handles ACTUALLY said ba bye, idk if it’s something wrong with me but whenever i do some of these I see the at least weekly results in one day.

  • Legit question: Isn’t it better to have some rest time between each workout so the body have time to “heal”? (I don’t know the word for it)

  • Nice video dude just one week I acheievd that once again thank you dude and i have a doubt give me the link air poda u using pls dude

  • I saw the first move where she was on a PLANK and was JUMPING LEFT MIDDLE RIGHT LEFT MIDDLE RIGHT…… I just died before even starting

  • OMG, GIRL! ALL of your workout routines are super intense!.. I’m in decent shape already, but I always find myself almost completely out of breath and sweating like crazy after each one of your workout routines!.. I guess it’s really all about not taking too much of a break between exercises, therefore making the overall routine like literally 10 times harder, maybe more!!!.. This HIIT stuff is exactly what I needed to add to my own personal workout routine!..

One thing I’ve noticed after doing a few of your workouts is that I have absolutely horrible balance & coordination among all of my muscles at the same time! (Part of that comes from having Asperger’s syndrome, but), in any case I know that if I can manage to add in at least a few of your routines into my weekly schedule from now on, that I will definitely be getting much more fit than I (thought) I was!..

Keep up the great videos and I’ll definitely be watching more of them as I find time to do the exercises in them!.. You are gonna help me to “level up” my fitness during this quarantine time!!.. Everyone else seems to be doing that rn, so I figure I better also, or else if I don’t I’m gonna be like the wimpiest guy on the planet when this virus crap is finally over! I can’t let that happen! Lol!.. MUCH love and respect for you Chloe, and everything you are doing to the betterment of the world!! ❤

  • Excellent video! Thanks! If I have the right diet but I am skinny fat how often should I be doing this routine to notice some results on my abs and obliques?

  • Thank you very much man! I’m 11 years old and I’m training my abdomen, your video helped me a lot thanks and great video, this one!!!!

  • Really enjoy your targeted workouts. Been using your chest exercise routine for three weeks, enjoy the diversity it provides. This oblique one is killer and I look forward to implimenting it into my daily routine. TKS so much.

  • I did this workout again this morning.

It’s so nice to see that I’m making progress and the plank-like exercises are getting easier. Chloe is so sweet and encouraging.:)

  • God I love these workouts because they are so intense and hard but when your done them you feel so achieved and amazing! And as I’ve been doing your workouts more, my cardiovascular strength has been going up and the workouts aren’t nearly as challenging as they were when I first tried them

  • Did you do ballet or something
That 1st exercise is impossible for me its way too painful on mh toes. Same with the 2nd.
    Yeah this isnt for me.

  • I’m 14, and I’m tryna get ready 4 the boys concert at citi field in 2 weeks. SO, Imma try this for 2 week straight. NO STOPPING ( I’m only doing this cause I don’t feel like looking like a pregnant sack of ass. Also, IMMA BE HEALTHY YURRRRR

  • Been loving you and using you for the last 5 months You’ve helped me get fit in all areas of my body! I’ve told my friend (who became a bit overweight) about you, and he is so thankful that now his abs are finally showing! I really appreciate you using your time trying to help other human beings in the world struggling with getting in shape! I’m only 13

  • Am I doing this wrong. My legs are super worked out (wobbly and sore) but I don’t feel that on my abs. I also feel that I am working out my biceps a lot and found it hard to stay on my hands and elbows because my arms got too tired to hold myself up.
I am making sure squeeze my core when doing the exercise but I feel that when I do this my whole body also becomes tense/firm when I do this.

Any tips on what I might be doing wrong?

  • I feel at a loss, I am half-way through day 15, I haven’t noticed a difference and neither has the scale. Before I started this program I have been working out 5 to 6 times a week and have lost nothing. the scales still jumps back and forth from 210lbs and 220lbs. I keep going because I know exercising is good for me. But I can’t help feeling disappointed that my body hasn’t improved. I just want to be healthy and take care of my body. but it feels like I am not doing a good job doing so. groans

  • okay I think I have finally gone fully insane when there was the cross body swipe workout I was already dead from the other workouts id done but I did it anyway cuz I’m a lazy shit and need to get in better shape but I literally was chanting swiper no swiping what has quarantine done

  • Hey Chloe i just love your videos and i downlod all your series. i just want to say these abs workouts do they have effect on both lose belly fat and build muscle.

Iam just new and I would wish to start working out

  • Awesome video as always! You have inspired me to make videos and not upload twice a week! I would love any support! Trying to reach 100 subs! Keep up the great content!!

  • I think you could improve the workouts by showing what the exercises are in the beginning so that people don’t have to look at you to see what it is or you can say them

  • Omg this exercise are not that easy and u r killer. Hats off . Started excersing from today hope I will continue and want to see the results.

  • Does this make my waist bigger? Because some people says that if you do oblique exercises, your waist line is going to get very big

  • If i can try to recall the number of times i went to the gym to physically work out, its less than 5 in my lifetime. But people keep asking me which gyms i go to they don’t believe i carry my own body weight to do all kinds of body exercises indoor.

I started indoor no equipment gym at about age 16 and am now 39. i like it out of the gym. No risks of falling metals.

    Thanks a lot Rowan

  • GUYS I just wanted to say that Chloe’s abs workouts REALLY WORK, they honestly did miracles for my stomach area. I’ve been steadily losing weight for a long time now (going on and off) but I’m down from the 144 pounds I was last Dec to 133 today, and today i was changing and looked in the mirror AND ALMOST SCREAMED BECAUSE I SAW CLEARLY DEFINED OBLIQUES LINES!!!!! I’ve NEVER seen that before I’ve always been kind of overweight all my teen years but honestly HER EXERCISES WORK COMBINED WITH CLEAN DIET!!!!! KEEP GOING YALL!!

  • I can’t believe I didn’t recognize the song from the start, I only recognized it about 2 lines before the drop “I can show you how to defeat the night”

  • For beginners, don’t give up thinking this is too hard. This is extreme level like for one himself who practiced years and it’s just demo of total workout. Please begin slowly 1 excercis at a time with enough rest u need and build up. Be good at each move then tie 2 different together and again build up by adding more. 1 at a time then 2 and 3 and all in one like in this video You will be successful only if u start slowly. Progression is a main key to have this kind of physic. To continues loose body fat you need progression otherwise you will hit Plato. I lost 50lb and change was a pleasure journey.

  • Hey there Frank:)

I just feel like I really need to tell you something. You are absolutely loved beyond any human capacity. Jesus Christ loves YOU and wants to know you. I care about your eternity and He wants you to repent. For almost 18 years of my life i was deceived into thinking “good people go to heaven, bad people go to hell” but this is not true. No matter how good we are, if we still live a life of sin, we will go to hell. A lot of people have been deceived by the devil that sin is no longer serious and that all we need is to believe in God but even the demons believe that there’s a God but yet they’re not saved… Jesus Christ is coming back and all that is happening right now is written in the Bible and Jesus told us about events to expect preceding the day of His return. He says that He will return as a THIEF IN THE NIGHT and nobody will know the day or the hour and that is why we need to keep watch always walking in the spirit and not being led by Satan.
Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart and is waiting on you to open to Him and trust in our Saviour. God is not willing that any should perish but all come to repentance. God is a loving God but He is also just meaning that He will send all habitual sinners to hell. May God bless you and may you seek Him and truly repent and sin no more to become true children of God. Have a beautiful day ☺️
