  • I haven’t included processed meat/grains/dairy or anything with added sugars in my 1200 calorie diet in 3 months and I’m stuck at 225 pounds. Granted, down from 320, but I still feel like I’m in the 30-40% category and you telling me that my problem is not white rice instead of brown rice, but eating too much french fries or toast crunch or whatever when in fact I haven’t touched any food that was fried or made with flour is a bit aggravating.

  • I have something that may help a lot of people. I noticed that I would pee small amounts often instead of large amounts when my bladder filled. I am young so it isn’t a prostate issue. Long story short I was taking a zinc supplement, over dosing. The kidneys were flushing as fast as possible, which made me thirsty and pee often. The rest of the zinc was getting stored in fat, which is the body’s back up plan to prevent overdose in the blood stream. This can happen with any mineral or fat soluble vitamin. Anyway, I cut zinc and started loosing 2 days later. Pee went to normal, emotionally better too. The only reason I caught this was because my diet is perfectly consistent to the gram and the only thing I had changed for weeks was the zinc supplement. It is a good habit to only change one supplement every few weeks and log changes. I know not everyone can or would do this. The short cut is to look out for overdose if you pee small amounts often and feel a bit off.

I find it hard to believe that I need to decrease my calories further and increase my cardio. Any suggestions?   • Is that what people are calling listening to your body and eating “intuitively”? Listening to your body is great advice and one of the best things that you can do, but that is not listening to your body. Listening to your body is fasting, eating something to break your fast, and seeing whether you feel a spike in insulin and blood sugar afterwards. That’s listening to your body. When your system is clear that’s when you can really feel the effects of what you eat. That’s when I stopped eating bananas for example because I could feel what it was doing to my body, and it felt awful. Your experience may differ, but that’s what I call listening to your body. It’s about paying attention to how your body responds to particular foods and eating in a way that optimizes health and wellbeing. The same thing applies to eating intuitively. I do both within a system of healthy keto and intermittent fasting.

  • Why your not losing fat the truth is insulin brotha. You never had an insulin problem because you ate clean and lifted weights your whole life so you stayed extremely insulin sensitive. But the general public has an insulin problem. Their insulin is always high, storing fat, and in starvation
    mode. Lowering insulin is the key to weight loss. That is why Keto, Carnivore and fasting diets work to lower insulin and lose weight.

  • i did something like this January i start to workout with only one rule “max 3 days rest”, then after 1 month new rule “3 days workout then rest 1 day, again workout ” my exercises was a mess, but for me, the most important was to train my brain to accept workout (if that make sense) so at the end of April i started to look in youtube for workout exercises and found this channel (for me its perfect) till today i lose 10 kg i feel very motivated and i enjoy the workout and the heavy metal that blowing my room:D

I didn’t eat ridiculously less, I just cut out soda, and had smaller portions. now at 22.8% body fat, and 77kg (still overweigh) I’ve started exercising, I know I should’ve started earlier, but at 110kg it feels impossible especially in the australian heat

  • Does 207 at 6’1 sound fat? I started eating better and working out and feel like I’m not getting anywhere. Work 3 12 and an 8 every other week and gained 25ish pounds in 7 months. Was eating a ton and anything I can assemble for lunches and breaks because I was starving on this work schedule. Cut out pop mostly eat a fat salad on first break and switched to an apple and banana on each of the two following breaks. Try to hit the gym 2-3 times on my non work stretch. 1 hour weights and 1 hour power walk targeting 122 heart rate followed by maybe ten minutes of laps in pool and 20 or so minutes of hot tub and still gaining weight and don’t feel like I’ve lost fat

  • Well I think I’m more active than average people my age (exercising every day if possible…body weight workouts and mountain biking), I eat healthier than average people my age (vegetarian diet with lots of fresh vegetables and low amounts of starchy carbs and no junk food), my calorie intake is probably ridiculously low, I even started taking creatine and protein powder…and I’m still stuck at 30%+ body fat…So I don’t think this generally applies to everyone.

I went Vegan 5 months ago hoping to lose weight and lower my cholesterol but i have stayed the exact same weigt. I needed to hear this because i think i did not lose weight because of these foods i was eating which was Cliff bars, bagged popcorn, Bocca soy nuggets, Larabars, hummus and Larry & Lennys protein cookies along with fruits and vegetables cooked without oil. I think its all those vegan middle isle junk foods that kept me from losing the 10 lbs i gained. Im post menopause too and it does seem hard to get the weight off! There is a lot of sugar in those Cliff bars! Im cutting the middle isle vegan foods out and only eat whole foods and see what happens. Thanks!! ��

  • One thing really bugs me this attitude with some vegans that simply going WFPB is going to lead to weight loss, and that if someone does NOT lose weight eating this way, they must be “cheating” somehow, or doing something wrong. Ie drinking calories, failing to exercise, eating overt fats like nuts or avocadoes, etc. Then when someone doesn’t lose weight (and it’s not just me I know of a fair few others) it flies in the face of their veganized quasi-religious zealousy. Bothers me a lot.

  • I am a big fan of all the anti-vegan channels, so lately I have been just making sure I get it a lot of meat and eggs, and of course compliment them with vegetables. Not really paying attention to any numbers at all. I may be overdoing it on the carbs a bit but I am way better than just last week.

    I made my kids some homemade chicken strips today and the amount of ingredients in the breadcrumbs is ridiculous. Seriously a ridiculous amount. All kinds of junk. People should really start looking into how processed some of the foods they buy are.

  • Hi Ryan, around September this year I put myself on a serious diet owing to the fact I was coming off my anti acid tablets that I had been taking for the past 11 years. Therefor I didn’t want to experience any acid rebound effects plus it was an opportunity to try and cure my hiatus hernia naturally. The diet basically was Fruit and veg and very little else. Upside was I went from 90kg to 80kg. Down side I not only lost my tummy but also my arms. I will be having the operation in a few weeks for the hernia. This means that I will be on purees for six weeks Needless to say I will loose more weight. My question to you is once I get back onto normal solid food I would like to continue a diet with more veg and a lot less meat and would like to get some size back on my arms. Any advice.   • My biggest junk food is frozen veggie burgers. They’re not TERRIBLE but they contain oil and are, of course, processed. I also eat tofu but I limit it to when we’re eating out at a Thai restaurant or something like that. Never have it at home.

  • I don’t knock nobody’s weight loss journey your 100% right consistency is the key part to weight loss, when I’d lose weight I’d blame everything and everyone around me. But so far I re started my weight loss journey and so far I’ve lost 50 pounds and I’ve been planning on losing another 50 pounds losing weight is the hardest thing to do, but it’s worth it.

Now i’m not losing weight. So i tried working out like 4-5 times a week. And have a rest day. I also tried egg diet but nothing changes. Please help meee i’m losing motivation to continue:((

  • Patience and comparing. That’s my biggest thing, I did a 30 day walk challenge and everyone had great results and I barely noticed a thing. I’m going to keep working out, because I’ve been trying to lose weight for idk 5-6 years? I want to lose 50 pounds. I will lose 50 pounds this year.

    A little bit more that a month ago I started to stop overeating, anda started to exercise more. And I’m so happy to see the results.
    I have more energy during the day, I’m fitting better in new clothes, I feel more happy and health and it’s so good to see this results after trying a lot of times.
    I have lost 20 lbs in this period of time.

  • The thing that makes me impatient is the fact that, super thin people eat so much and eat what they want but for me to be a good size I have to eat things I hardly like so I just get annoyed but try my best

    “How long am i going to be on a diet?”
    “How long am i going to train 2-3 times per week?”
    “I was always faty, my grandma is fat, my mother, father, sister are fat.”
    “I have frends, who don’t do sports, eat what they want, do what they want and they are looking greath…. “

    And when I ask, tell me what you are eating and i am about to kill myself and i am constantly searching for a way to explane, that their lifestyle sucks…. Seriously those are the questions of my clients and i am always telling them, what you are going to tell… “You are not on a diet, your nutrition is going to be healty for life” “In order to stay in shape, you need to put some work in the gym” and so on.
