Results vary, but if you’ve seemingly tried everything else, intermittent fasting can be a great tool to break through a weight loss plateau. Make sure you’ve fully transitioned onto a Primal eating plan and start small. Skip breakfast.

Summary If you are trying to lose weight, you may want to consider cutting back on alcohol or skipping it altogether. Wine in small amounts seems to be fine. • Hey Jeff thanks for the info that allows hope. Any tips on how a person with Degenerative Disc Disease arthritic hips, wrist shoulders can’t get results with these limitation. As condition worsens I need to keep moving but so much con advise I trust you to be honest. I can’t be the only person with this issues that can suck the life out of you. Watch lots of your videos that have opened my eyes. I know your a busy guy but any help I would appreciate so much

  • I’m on week 3 and have only lost 5 pounds. I was feeling really defeated and sad. Drowning myself in all of these videos and I fucking found it. The video I NEEDED. No bullshit, no sugarcoating. Straight to the POINT. Now I’m more motivated than ever. Thank you girl!

  • this is such a great video! Just what i need to focus my efforts so i can go from 32.4% body fat back to 25 where i was 4 years ago, and then ideally focus on the dream 20%. Thank you! I also really like your channel because it talks about facts and the logical reasons why a 5 minute HIT workout won’t burn much fat in a day but it will add up over the longer, and that it may not be most relevant at 30% body fat. And when you say guys I never think you just mean boys, definitely feels like you are talking to anyone, regardless of gender. excellent!

  • When u lose that much weight in 3 months their body look fuck up fab and all because your body need time to heal meaning your skin need time to shrink back back to its normal size that’s why u don’t have lose skin on u and u look’n fabulous oh bye they way u have beautiful face also keep up the good work girl u got this

  • I haven’t included processed meat/grains/dairy or anything with added sugars in my 1200 calorie diet in 3 months and I’m stuck at 225 pounds. Granted, down from 320, but I still feel like I’m in the 30-40% category and you telling me that my problem is not white rice instead of brown rice, but eating too much french fries or toast crunch or whatever when in fact I haven’t touched any food that was fried or made with flour is a bit aggravating.

  • 40 pounds in a week damn I wish lol. Seriously I be all hyped finna lose this weight then get bummed after 2 weeks. I need more patience.

  • I have something that may help a lot of people. I noticed that I would pee small amounts often instead of large amounts when my bladder filled. I am young so it isn’t a prostate issue. Long story short I was taking a zinc supplement, over dosing. The kidneys were flushing as fast as possible, which made me thirsty and pee often. The rest of the zinc was getting stored in fat, which is the body’s back up plan to prevent overdose in the blood stream. This can happen with any mineral or fat soluble vitamin. Anyway, I cut zinc and started loosing 2 days later. Pee went to normal, emotionally better too. The only reason I caught this was because my diet is perfectly consistent to the gram and the only thing I had changed for weeks was the zinc supplement. It is a good habit to only change one supplement every few weeks and log changes. I know not everyone can or would do this. The short cut is to look out for overdose if you pee small amounts often and feel a bit off.

  • My problems the opposite I work my ass off for 3 months lose 30lbs the pull back the reigns until I eventually gain it back and more.

  • I like that all the advice you give is realistic and based on how well people can make and stick to lifestyle changes. Thank you for these videos

  • I’m steadily losing weight without trying! It’s slow going, but as long as we are tipping the scale in the right direction, works for me. While eating carbs to your hearts content, gotta love that.

  • I’ve stalled out at 210lbs (6’2”, about 20% BF) for the past 3 weeks and I’ve been eating 1600-1700cal/day and doing 30min of cardio 6days/week. I find it hard to believe that I need to decrease my calories further and increase my cardio. Any suggestions? I’ve considered eating at maintenance (2700ish) for a week then getting back to a deficit to see if it’ll break it.

  • Is that what people are calling listening to your body and eating “intuitively”? Listening to your body is great advice and one of the best things that you can do, but that is not listening to your body. Listening to your body is fasting, eating something to break your fast, and seeing whether you feel a spike in insulin and blood sugar afterwards. That’s listening to your body. When your system is clear that’s when you can really feel the effects of what you eat. That’s when I stopped eating bananas for example because I could feel what it was doing to my body, and it felt awful. Your experience may differ, but that’s what I call listening to your body. It’s about paying attention to how your body responds to particular foods and eating in a way that optimizes health and wellbeing. The same thing applies to eating intuitively. I do both within a system of healthy keto and intermittent fasting.

  • amazing video simply amazing…so uplifting….whenever im down i watch his videos to motivate me again…he keeps me going…thanks jeff…God bless you

  • I watch a lot of your videos. So this poss take comment is just in good humour.

But you are wrong about why im not losing fat. For me i just dont have enough to lose easily. Never had have, so poor assumption Jeff. Lol

  • The way he titles these videos are like he’s trying to appeal to 16 year old GymBros and 45 year old mid life crisis having boomers.

  • I love you so much you are so sweet and funny and real and motivating whenever i binge and lose track i come watch this video it puts me back into the right way

  • I was a 220 pounds man, 5’9 inch and for the first 2 months I lost 20 pounds by cutting sugar and eating around 1500-1800 calories of protien carbs and fat. I’m now 201 ish and kinda have hit a plateau, what should I do???

  • Why your not losing fat the truth is insulin brotha. You never had an insulin problem because you ate clean and lifted weights your whole life so you stayed extremely insulin sensitive. But the general public has an insulin problem. Their insulin is always high, storing fat, and in starvation
mode. Lowering insulin is the key to weight loss. That is why Keto, Carnivore and fasting diets work to lower insulin and lose weight.

  • i did something like this January i start to workout with only one rule “max 3 days rest”, then after 1 month new rule “3 days workout then rest 1 day, again workout ” my exercises was a mess, but for me, the most important was to train my brain to accept workout (if that make sense) so at the end of April i started to look in youtube for workout exercises and found this channel (for me its perfect) till today i lose 10 kg i feel very motivated and i enjoy the workout and the heavy metal that blowing my room:D

  • I was at 34.9% body fat and 110kg. I simply ate less, I looked at what I was eating. I didn’t eat ridiculously less, I just cut out soda, and had smaller portions. now at 22.8% body fat, and 77kg (still overweigh) I’ve started exercising, I know I should’ve started earlier, but at 110kg it feels impossible especially in the australian heat

  • Does 207 at 6’1 sound fat? I started eating better and working out and feel like I’m not getting anywhere. Work 3 12 and an 8 every other week and gained 25ish pounds in 7 months. Was eating a ton and anything I can assemble for lunches and breaks because I was starving on this work schedule. Cut out pop mostly eat a fat salad on first break and switched to an apple and banana on each of the two following breaks. Try to hit the gym 2-3 times on my non work stretch. 1 hour weights and 1 hour power walk targeting 122 heart rate followed by maybe ten minutes of laps in pool and 20 or so minutes of hot tub and still gaining weight and don’t feel like I’ve lost fat

  • Binge watching Jeff’s videos for the second time after admitting that I don’t know sh*t about burning fat.
I will not betray you again, Sensei.

  • Ouch Jeff!!! The truth hurts sometimes. All the cardio in the world combined with a crappy diet won’t help your fat loss goals. Sometimes I’m reminded of that when a “cheat meal” turns into 3 hours of hogging out on pizza and pop!!

  • Thank you for this video! I keep forgetting that I already have been doing a lot, just need to keep doing it so easy to fall for some crap idea

  • Just curious or if you can make a video on teenagers and fasting? I’m seeing so many comments on YouTube where 12-16yo are doing IF.

  • If your not losing fat your not trying hard enough, it really is that simple, I haven’t even watched the video, because the video it 100% unnececery, just try harder and if that doesn’t work try harder until it does, I promise it will work, if anyone says they cant lose weight they are telling me they cant starve to death, wich is obviuously idiotic beyond belif.

YOU ARE SO ON POINT FOR ADVICE…this is my stuggle right now to be maintained..to eat right not calorie count to choose eating quality foods…Im on year 2 on low carb/ IF THANKS FOR YOUR CHANNEL..LOVE YOUR APPROACHES..KEEP THEM COMING

  • Basically stick to it and when you feel like you can’t and you wanna use a substitute… don’t. You’re either in it all the way or not.

  • Well I think I’m more active than average people my age (exercising every day if possible…body weight workouts and mountain biking), I eat healthier than average people my age (vegetarian diet with lots of fresh vegetables and low amounts of starchy carbs and no junk food), my calorie intake is probably ridiculously low, I even started taking creatine and protein powder…and I’m still stuck at 30%+ body fat…So I don’t think this generally applies to everyone.

  • Lol I put in work for two weeks and lost 11 pounds and I’m shockingly not counting calories but I am Paleo. But yesterday my ass was cheating ctfu I went to the gym today anyway, was about to give up till I saw this video. Gonna continue tomorrow

  • I watch your videoss whenever I feel like giving up, it gives me the another push that I can do this… thank you so much for all your videos…

  • i was vegan and switched to keto and am finally losing weight and don’t feel like a balloon anymore and i’m no longer a slave to hunger:D

  • Before I getting started to diet.. I love food so much also especially junk food but wen I started to watch ur video I’m started to hate junk food and also soda drinks.. Thnk so much Carlo.. Ur the best

  • What about whole grain bread? Is this a weight gaining food? I eat one or two slices a day, for the fiber mainly. But I guess it’s a kind of processed food too?

  • I actually had 1 ginger ale since March. I eat because of boredom. Have to go walking to resist
Cut down on the junk food.
    Add more veg

  • She said do this for 3 months with no complaining come for me edges!! Girl! I’ve been on this track forever it’s not enough of patience and consistency. You’re right

  • I do everything you say for months but have no progress I go to gym daily don’t eat more than a normal person and am really active I can’t seem to lose weight with my slow metabolism

  • Hi! Thanks for this very informative video! First off i dont eat a lot at all and i am not a big person but i gained 10 lbs. I went Vegan 5 months ago hoping to lose weight and lower my cholesterol but i have stayed the exact same weigt. I needed to hear this because i think i did not lose weight because of these foods i was eating which was Cliff bars, bagged popcorn, Bocca soy nuggets, Larabars, hummus and Larry & Lennys protein cookies along with fruits and vegetables cooked without oil. I think its all those vegan middle isle junk foods that kept me from losing the 10 lbs i gained. Im post menopause too and it does seem hard to get the weight off! There is a lot of sugar in those Cliff bars! Im cutting the middle isle vegan foods out and only eat whole foods and see what happens. Thanks!!

  • Very true and I think we have to be honest with ourselves as vegans who haven’t lost weight even after 2yrs about these tips you have given us. Thanks a bunch for the reality check!

  • One thing really bugs me this attitude with some vegans that simply going WFPB is going to lead to weight loss, and that if someone does NOT lose weight eating this way, they must be “cheating” somehow, or doing something wrong. Ie drinking calories, failing to exercise, eating overt fats like nuts or avocadoes, etc. Then when someone doesn’t lose weight (and it’s not just me I know of a fair few others) it flies in the face of their veganized quasi-religious zealousy. Bothers me a lot.

  • I am a big fan of all the anti-vegan channels, so lately I have been just making sure I get it a lot of meat and eggs, and of course compliment them with vegetables. Not really paying attention to any numbers at all. I may be overdoing it on the carbs a bit but I am way better than just last week.

I made my kids some homemade chicken strips today and the amount of ingredients in the breadcrumbs is ridiculous. Seriously a ridiculous amount. All kinds of junk. People should really start looking into how processed some of the foods they buy are.

And Poptarts, I can’t believe I used to love those things. They arent even good!

  • Lovely video and amazing content just one thing u said that really irked me: veganism is not a “diet” it’s just a way of living…otherwise motivational and I’m HYPED do get back to exercising after watching this

  • The honor and integrity you have to tell someone not to buy your stuff if they aren’t ready says a bunch about you. You are a good man

  • Hi Ryan, around September this year I put myself on a serious diet owing to the fact I was coming off my anti acid tablets that I had been taking for the past 11 years. Therefor I didn’t want to experience any acid rebound effects plus it was an opportunity to try and cure my hiatus hernia naturally. The diet basically was Fruit and veg and very little else. Upside was I went from 90kg to 80kg. Down side I not only lost my tummy but also my arms. I will be having the operation in a few weeks for the hernia. This means that I will be on purees for six weeks Needless to say I will loose more weight. My question to you is once I get back onto normal solid food I would like to continue a diet with more veg and a lot less meat and would like to get some size back on my arms. Any advice. I am 54 years old. Cheers. P.s I’m the guy from Madrid.:-)

  • My biggest junk food is frozen veggie burgers. They’re not TERRIBLE but they contain oil and are, of course, processed. I also eat tofu but I limit it to when we’re eating out at a Thai restaurant or something like that. Never have it at home.

  • I don’t knock nobody’s weight loss journey your 100% right consistency is the key part to weight loss, when I’d lose weight I’d blame everything and everyone around me. But so far I re started my weight loss journey and so far I’ve lost 50 pounds and I’ve been planning on losing another 50 pounds losing weight is the hardest thing to do, but it’s worth it.

  • There you have it, so the mans point is that you have to give your mind a chance to “see” some positive results happen, so you get drawn in the right way by your desire <3 We want everything in our life imediatly and thats why we try once or twice and getting back to hell:D

  • i switched from Vegetarian after 35 years and as a Vegan i am eating a lot more non stop and im losing weight without trying and therefore i support his statement that you eat less than packing it in a smoothie. You can drink a ton, but you can chew less if you eat whole. I DONT DO SMOOTHIES EVER EVER!!!

  • If you’re trying to be consistent as Jeff says. You can use the free app I’ve created at: https://streakoid.com. Create a streak for no more French fries.

  • Does anyone else binge watch these types of videos to get motivation and stave off boredom-eating? Hahaha it’s been pretty effective for me so far

  • I’ve been consistent for a month now and I’m not seeing results at all! I was at 170 and now I’m at 145 but I look the exact same as when I started

  • I was looking at myself in the mirror on my birthday (cause today’s my birthday). And i’m like i hate my life(on my birthday) so let me look up why I aint losing weight and sis DID NOT have to read me like this on my birthday!!

  • I like your honesty and frankness so much. I’m one week into a lifestyle change and though I have dropped 6lbs already from changing my diet and starting a workout regimen, I know those first few lbs consisted of water weight. I want to aim for 1-2lbs a week to drop the weight but I still have about 68lbs to go. You are inspiring so thank you for the honest motivation and advice.

  • I’ve been doing a diet for the past 2 weeks and I lost 4 pounds and then I gained 2 pounds ( even tho I’m still doing a diet) and then I lost them and now my weight is stuck and it wont go down

  • This video is a year old and crept up on my timeline and slapped TF out of me! I was just complaining about not seeing results knowing damn well I’m not consistent. This video called me a slacker! Ok ok I got the message. Lol

  • I Feel You was talking to Me personally like this resonates so much with My daily affirmations… You can’t make this shit up, it’s crazy how I felt a magnetic pull to your channel… I wasn’t even looking for anything of the sort in relation to what You do!! Excuse Me as I am very spiritual and I feel You’re an Earth Angel, This is Your Higher Purpose! My intuition calls out to me very clearly and loudly… I believe You’re gonna Help Me Mentally, Physically, Spiritually and Emotionally… Sending Love and Blessings, Giving Thanks ⚖‍♀️

  • Lol you literally came for me at 4:36 but thank you so much for making this video. I feel like I’m at the part where I’m just trying to tone up certain areas, especially my stomach and I feel like nothing is happening but it’s also literally been two weeks.

  • Considering the oil, of course a table spoon of olive oil, sunflower oil etc adds extra calories, but if used, what are the recommended quantities? I try to restrict it to one tablespoon when cooking.

  • Ooof I’ve lost about 20 pounds some years ago and I still want to lose about 10… However the last pounds are always the freakin hardest to drop and im so stuck here working out every day and eating healthy but I guess as u said its all about calories so I might just break them down and have a smaller calorie deficit

  • Dude. I legit don’t know any other YouTuber who mixes the mental and emotional aspect of it with a blend of science and data. You’re one of a kind! You deserve more subs!

  • Out of all the weight loss videos I watch, you’re the only person I have been watching who has been really encouraging me, and I’m working on it, I went grocery shopping for over an hr looked at every label and I haven’t done that in months and I made a work out plan! Thank you so much I’m trying & will keep watching your videos. My dad passed away in July From cancer and I just want to get healthy and move forward with my life and be the best version of myself for myself and that means making my body happy and healthy! Thank you for being so encouraging

  • The reason why you are not losing weight is because you are not in a caloric deficit.

    That’s it.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

Eat whatever you want (on your terms, just makes sure to consider healthy options majority of the time, but otherwise….) Eat whatever you want, JUST BE IN A CALORIC DEFICIT!

    That’s your magic, key ingredient.

  • I’m so mad at myself for failing last year.
I commited to a healthier lifestyle from october to january-ish last year and I lost around 7kg and I saw the change. But then something happened and I binge ate again and everything just spiraled out of control. It’s been that way untill a week ago when I decided to start losing weight again and you’ve been a great inspiration:D

  • This video literally changed so much for me! This really motivated me to lose weight and i did lose 13 pounds so far! Lately I haven‘t been THAT consistent so I‘m searching for motivation because I still have 11 pounds more to lose but I can do iiiit! Thank you so so much for inspiring and motivating me!

  • What if po, around 7pm is my dinner and I only ate lunch for the day. (3 eggs w/cheese tapos slices of apples) By that 7pm po, I’m not hungry pero I was force to eat kasi nga mahirap magkasakit ngayon lalo na may Pandemic. Is that called pampalipas gutom and I should eat or wag nalang kumain kasi i’m not hungry. Natatakot din po ako kasi di ko (i mean, di talaga) nareach yung daily intake nang calorie ko, mas baba pa nga which also one reason why one is not losing weight. I’m so confuse please help me po!

i have been not losing weight these past few weeks and it is frustrating me. I tried omad and I lose 10kg for 1 month and 1 week. From 81-70/71 kg. I’m also working out 30-40 min per day. Now i’m not losing weight. So i tried working out like 4-5 times a week. And have a rest day. I also tried egg diet but nothing changes. Please help meee i’m losing motivation to continue:((

  • Thank you for this video it made me realise my mistakes and a little bit of guilty… So I’m starting today my journey and really sticking to it! Again thank you for your help❤️

  • New subscriber i loved this video and now i’m about to watch more your weight loss journey has inspired me to keep going with mine…. so thank you.

  • Been workin’ out my relationship with food for almost four months now since I first discovered you. You’re like my cupid with food, you’re the reason we’re gettin’ better at our relationship haha. Love you always, C stay safe

  • I’m saving this video to watch whenever I feel like fucking up I’ve been consistent but today I cheated. Thanks for helping me get back on track and it was only today I fucked up. THANK YOU FUCK YES IMA DO IT

  • Great video it does make you think now you mention it I have started to eat a little bit more of the higher fat foods, they really can creep up on you without you noticing it good to hear it said..THANK YOU ☺ more of these foods i think!!

  • 4:18 5:05 This is my EXACT problem with work projects and setting goals for myself. Holy shit!!! I came here for a weight loss how-to and walked away with a significant mindset set for my life. THANK YOU!!!

  • Patience and comparing. That’s my biggest thing, I did a 30 day walk challenge and everyone had great results and I barely noticed a thing. I’m going to keep working out, because I’ve been trying to lose weight for idk 5-6 years? I want to lose 50 pounds. I will lose 50 pounds this year.

  • I loved the way you talk, like it is a sort of motivation.
A little bit more that a month ago I started to stop overeating, anda started to exercise more. And I’m so happy to see the results.
I have more energy during the day, I’m fitting better in new clothes, I feel more happy and health and it’s so good to see this results after trying a lot of times.
I have lost 20 lbs in this period of time.

  • The thing that makes me impatient is the fact that, super thin people eat so much and eat what they want but for me to be a good size I have to eat things I hardly like so I just get annoyed but try my best

  • Jeff, another perfect video! Thank you!

What are you doing with clients, who are thinking…
“How long am i going to be on a diet?”
“How long am i going to train 2-3 times per week?”
“I was always faty, my grandma is fat, my mother, father, sister are fat.”
“I have frends, who don’t do sports, eat what they want, do what they want and they are looking greath…. “

And when I ask, tell me what you are eating and i am about to kill myself and i am constantly searching for a way to explane, that their lifestyle sucks…. Seriously those are the questions of my clients and i am always telling them, what you are going to tell… “You are not on a diet, your nutrition is going to be healty for life” “In order to stay in shape, you need to put some work in the gym” and so on.

  • That point about consistency at 9.30 ish HIT ME! “You’re not bad at being consistent; you’re just consistent in the wrong ways” YES

  • This is seriously the best motivational video for weight loss that I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen quite a few hahah.
Thank you because that’s exactly what I needed to hear ❤️
