What 2,000 Calories Looks Like (Summer Edition) by Danielle Omar, RD. July 16, 2019. No Comments.

Share it: Summer weather calls for simple, fresh meals that keep you cool and take advantage of the season’s tastiest produce. There are guidelines available: the average person (depending on height, weight, age, and level of physical activity) requires between 2000 and 3000 calories. That sounds like a lot, but it’s pretty easy to go over that in a day.

Here are some foods that are 500 calories.

  • These comment are ridiculous I’m on fitness pal who have advised me to have 1500 calories a day to lose weight. I was easily eating 3000 before without even realising it. I’m losing a steady 1-2lbs a week which is healthy and sustainable weight loss.

  • Holy crap, I eat the same calories as you and I am 5’3 114 lbs. I’m doing keto and IF + 5x workouts per week, one meal a day. This seriously is such an impressive cut!

  • I’m over weight yet I’m struggling to eat 1500 calories now:'( the amount of protein (130g) is making me hella full all day! and i keep stuffing my face forcefully even with carbs its getting hard, and i feel sick:(

  • hehe, that is a nice term, eyeballing the food:D. i do it though, but in a sence i eyeball all the delicious things instead of eating them:D

  • Have been losing weight counting calories (1500) and walking 1-2miles daily. Losing a lb or 2 a week. Not major but deffo working. Although I’m not huge and only looking to lose another stone or 2. 1500 calories is actually a lot of food if you eat clean.

  • Hi RezFitness I am eating 1300-1500 calorie but unable to loose weight. I got thyroid and I gained a lot after that I reduced 15kg almost but unable to maintain that weight I am gaining daily and unable to loose more. Can you help me with some tips please… Thanks

  • Hey man awesome video as always I just found your channel one week ago and I watch your videos everyday and I love your videos also good job on your videos and keep up the good work.

  • Im eating like 2500 calories right now but my weight in the morning was a few grams higher than the past 2 days? Do i just keep going at this pace? Or am i actually gaining? idk shit lol

1500 calories sounds wild! i’d struggle to get my protein. i love onions too, i want to throw them on everything.

  • Thats the same thing im doing, eating 1200-1500 plus kickboxing. I went from 255 to 209 in 5 months, still going down to 170. (6’2 )

  • I think what people often get confused is that calorie deficit is different for everyone, because your body naturally burns off a certain amount of calories this can be different for each person. 1500 calories is based off the average person, but the problem is that the average person doesn’t really exist an average is just a rough estimate it’s not accurate. What i’ve learned is that my body naturally can burn off about 800-1000 calories without working out, therefor that is daily calorie intake and resting metabolic rate. If I was to go into calorie deficit i’d have to eat less that 800 calories to lose the weight. Something important to consider is that calories do not equal quantity, if you’re eating a larger quantity of food with lower calories you will still gain weight despite being in calorie deficit. That’s why calories are literally useless and I stopped counting calories a long time ago, start looking at the quantity of food you’re consuming instead. Less food equals less weight gain, that is common sense but not many people actually do this instead they just go based off calories. Food with higher calories means you need to eat less food in order to get your daily calorie intake, so one secret i’ve had to losing weight is actually by eating food with higher calories you’re consuming less quantity of food. If you eat lower calorie foods you’d need to consume a larger quantity

  • Hey guys!
This is the app I’m using to count my calories “Lifesum”: https://bit.ly/2JUyAtW

It’s the app that I used to do my 3 months transformation! I can’t believe I’m now partering up with them! If you want 30% OFF you can go through the link in the description!

  • Guys Idk what to do, I’ve been doing Omad while eating 1500 calories a day and I haven’t lost any weight, I’ve been doing it for 2 weeks.

  • Bästa! Bror skulle du kunna gör typ en serie, där du recordar din transformation. Hur du bemöter dagliga problem och hinder, och hur du gör det roligt samtidigt .

  • My friend you are doing what we call a mini cutt people do it all the time don’t worry about muscle loss, too short of a period of time body won’t let it happen too much

  • What about weight fluctuations?? I’ve been eating 1500 calories at 250 pounds trying to lose weight. It’s been a week and the scale isn’t going down. It fluctuates by like 2-3 pounds. I don’t get it

  • Thank u man. I like to be fit and still not struggle weighing everything and make eating complicated. I used to intermittent fasting 16:8 and it helped me a lot. Any thoughts bout fasting?

  • this muscle building thing is at least a few years progress I guess. its been 9 months I have been training. My posture is great I am bigger but not good enough >)

  • I really liked your realistic video. Yes, you should consume more vegetables for sure:) but congrats on your 5lb. weight loss! Please give an update as to whether you kept to this basic plan and if you’ve lost any more weight!

  • Do you eat 1500 and then burn like 200-300 cals so your deficit is 1200? Or is your deficit 1500 and then burn like 200-300 cals as well? If that makes sense I’m confused

  • I’m from the UK and subbed for you, also i eat 1500 kalories well lately I’ve been relaxing abit more going up to around 1700 kalories having a couple more eggs. Eating healthier and getting abit more kalories in while still losing weight.

    DUDE!!!! WTF
We are the same i used to do 20 hour fast and eat 1500 kalories a day and then i started to see ridiclous results. I am going to do the 20 hour fasts and strictly 1500 kalories on the days I’m off work

  • im also on a 1000 cal deficit but on every 3rd day or after 48 hours i carb up with around 200-300g.
it’s the first time i’ve tried this, i hope it works.
    good luck bro!

  • I tend to eat the same way you do but I am trying to be more healthy in my choices. I am a lot older than you are so I have to watch it if I want to live to a ripe-ish old age, haha. Anyway, I just have 17 pounds more to go after losing 35 pounds counting calories. Thank you for stating all you ate. I would say to try to cut down on sugary treats but I’m telling this to myself. too! Anyway, congrats on your loss!

  • It has been proven by research that a diet of about 1500 calories will cause weight loss for up to a year, losing about 1-2 lbs a week (depending on your weight). A reduction of at least 5% of total body weight has proven to improve BP and lower the risk of CVD. A calorie deficit diet is good to lose weight but for those that believe it is too extreme, there are diets for everyones specific needs; this is a diet that she is comfortable with but that doesnt mean you have to follow it:)

  • Im currently 18 years old, and i deadlift 340, and bench 210, i just started to work out every day 2 weeks ago, i weighed 217, and im 6ft 1inch tall,i now weigh 198, is this progress good?? Trying to get some input

  • This is not exactly healthy get rid of the yokes and use low fat yogurt and just because it keeps you filled up all day and helps you lose weight doesn’t mean it’s healthy or good for you

  • Sorry, LifeSum should find someone representing their product who will not offend the buyer -i using the F bomb in the same sentence as God’s name is totally blasphemous. I wouldn’t use your Mother’s name in a sentence like that please don’t use my Father’s. LifeSum you lost one potential client here!

  • if your trying to increase testosterone, Vegan diet is superb for increasing testosterone. Carbohydrates is what the human body is fueled best by.

  • Hey Rez, I am doing intermittent fasting and doing barbell complexes twice a week, plus another day of HIIT. Have you tried barbell complexes before? If yes, which results have you got?

  • Tjo Rez, om man köper en sån hära instruktion grej från dig för att gå ner i vikt så kan man göra det lång distans? elr kmr du göra en gym instruktion där du berättar vad jag ska göra o äta elr?

  • hey Rez! how are you doing man? you are looking good! see I got a question for you, so I got fat, fatter than I ever been, and to be honest, it’s not really bothering me, im happy with myself, but I know it ain’t healthy so I’m starting again with the diet and exercise, so I got this question, how do I get myself to do abs, I legit hate them, it hurts so bad, it makes breath hard and if I’m not fasting, they make me wanna puke, some advice?

  • Yeah, faster dieting is better because as long as it’s not for way too long for 4-5 months let’s say, it doesn’t or barely results in more muscle or strength loss and you get back to bulking way faster. And yeah midsection fat is a pain because I really don’t think that midsection fat even budges for most people until sub 12% body fat and isn’t completely gone until like 9%, just an obseravtion. You’re face is looking way slimmer too man, keep working hard and I like your more harcore diet.

  • Dude!! I know what you mean about the weekend. You sit around and are prone to eat!! And then your wife wants to get dinner and you end up eating a pizza or something. I’m doing about 1700 calories a day. I do 45 minutes cardio a day, lift weights 5 days a week. I am 5’8 and 154lbs now. Abs showing nicely when I flex but I need more definition. Did a test and I am a little under 11 percent body fat. How tall are you? How did the 1500 calories a day work for you?

  • Can I do this if I’m 15 and I weight 57 and I’m 172cm and I workout everyday for at least 30 min and 4-5 times a week 1 hour plues

  • Loved this. Not loving the negative comments. My calorie deficit sits at around 1600kcal so the meal ideas especially are super helpful for me
