My 2 Month Plan to Change Your Life While much is made about the impact of the obesity epidemic both personally and financially one stark fact needs to be stressed. If you are severely overweight, once you reach the age of 50 your time on Earth is about over. Talk to your doctor about the health benefits and the risks of treatment options for extreme obesity: Change your diet. You may be referred to a dietician who can help you with a plan to lose one to two pounds per week. To lose weight, you have to reduce the number of calories you consume.

Start by tracking everything you eat. These lifestyle modifications can also help prevent obesity if you are overweight or otherwise at risk. Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight through diet and exercise can also help manage or reverse some of the serious conditions associated with obesity, such as hypertension and type 2. Before I changed my lifestyle, I already worked out four to five times a week, doing a mixture of weight-lifting, dance classes, and netball. I was also active in my day-to-day life, walking at least 14,000 steps a day.

But I was still overweight. The past six months have shown me how much truth there is in the adage, “You can’t out-train a bad. Flavor your foods with herbs, vinegars, mustards, or lemon instead of fatty sauces.

Limit alcohol to 1-2 drinks per day. 2. Become More Mindful. One of the first steps toward conquering bad eating. Two compartments are commonly used: fat mass and fat-free mass. Fat mass refers to all the fat tissue in your body.

Fat-free mass is. Eat smaller, more frequent meals. Instead of eating three large meals a day, try eating smaller, more frequent meals. Reduce portion sizes at your regular meals, and add small snacks in between each meal. This helps boost your metabolism and keeps you from being hungry during the day and splurging at night.

Shortly after I became certified, I went through a devastating divorce. As a newly single-mom, I set out to “4-Hour Workweek” my life, started my own multi-faceted health and wellness company, and spent the last five years helping to transform the bodies and lives of hundreds of women around the world in ways they never thought were possible. You cannot change your life overnight, but you can most certainly change the direction of your life overnight. Here are 12 things you can start doing immediately to turn your life around and get back on track to achieving success: 1. Read daily. If you want your life to get better, you need to start making better decisions.

For example, if you weigh 200 pounds, a 5 percent weight loss equals 10 pounds, bringing your weight down to 190 pounds. While this weight may still be in the “overweight” or “obese” range, this modest weight loss can decrease your risk factors for chronic diseases related to obesity.

I have sorely missed going to the pool for hydrotherapy exercise and swimming, so have been going back since restrictions were lifted, as it helps immensely… have I missed any thoughts you may have on this, or if you haven’t yet given your thoughts in that, could you perhaps briefly mention what you surmise may be the increased risk.   • The key point that people cannot understand about keto is the feeling of freedom. I am not a slave to my hunger and my sweet cravings anymore, i have energy, i dont feel depressed and despite having a bad day at work i dont feel the need of binging on sweets to calm my anxiety because my body is 100% satisfied.   • I just went through this. I had the sleeve in 2012 at 230 lbs and got down to 170. Maintained it for the most part up until now.   • If we’re talking longevity it seems the Okinawans pre WW2 did it best. They were plant based, mostly white sweet potatoes. However, the did eat very small portions of fatty meat, pork, a couple times a week, along with some broths that contained fish and bones. These old Okinawans outliving the rest of the world, vegans included, contributed their long lives to the small servings of animal products every few days. I suspect the added collagen and the dha/epa omega 3 found in animals made the difference for them.

  • Another success story here. When I was in my teens and twenties, if you told me I would be even vegetarian in the future, I would have laughed at you. Now I’ve gone past that and have been vegan for years. Most people my age are overweight, obese, and/or are on prescription meds, not here. I see my primary care physician once per year for bloodwork, my PCP says “whatever you’re doing, keep doing it”. Since I stopped eating animal products, I’ve gotten rid of nasal polyps, cluster headaches, and skin rashes on my face from eating too much fish. No meds to get rid of all of those, which I had for years. I can eat as much as I want and never gain weight, if your eat the right foods. The key is to smash in the calories, eat whole foods, easy on the oil (avoid if you can), don’t fear the starchy carbs, make sure to get iodine in (dulce flakes on salad work), and take 2500 mcg of B12 per week. (Many non-vegans need to take B12 also, especially each decade that they are older). Follow Dr. Michael Klaper, he has a wealth of info on how to do it right. Also “Plantbased” athlete has some videos on his YT channel on the basics. Cheers.

Hindu culture would be extinct today. So you want to go vegan? What kind of soldiers will you raise?

  • I should preface this with the fact that I’ve been plant based for half a year now and love it. But as soon as he said we “take on that animals energy” I lost him. While I sympathize and agree with all his points about how cruel we are to animals, that we take on the animals pain is the kind of rhetoric that goes way too far beyond the “I’ll keep an open mind” zone for most people, and I feel that most people who were on the edge of considering a plant based change were turned off by something like that for sounding to new age.

    Now that it has been investigated, it is extremely unlikely that the virus came in through packaged foods.

    It is most likely that it has been transferred from person to person and the tracing has run simply cold. (A door handle in a public place, a freak airborne transmission etc.) There are many possibilities. We may not find out, and that is OK. What matters is the outbreak is contained, and community transmission in NZ is eliminated again.

  • 25:00 “There’s a point at which it doesn’t serve me to eat anymore”. I’ve repeatedly and consistently exceeded that point for years. I either order a pizza and eat the whole damn thing because it’s so much better fresh and hot than reheated or I make meals for myself that are a portion size so big that I could literally divide it in half and have 2 meals that will fill me up….but I eat it all anyway, because that’s the meal I made for myself…and it really tastes good.
    I’m doing a 3 day on, 2 day off fasting protocol with a keto diet. There is no way in hell I could plan, shop for and prepare 21 keto meals a week. That would be like taking a second full-time job. But I can plan, shop for and prepare 5 or 6 clean keto meals a week, especially if I have 3 days to do the planning and shopping. My current favorite is a greek salad (spinach, tomatoes, onion, red bell pepper, zucchini, avocado, olives and feta chz) with avocado oil dressing and about a 4 ounce portion of baked salmon. A 1lb salmon fillet will make 4 meal portions and with about 2 cups worth of salad, it fills me up to a comfortable level. On my 2 eating days, I have 4 of these and if I want a breakfast, I make bacon or sausage (quality sausage, no fillers) and eggs, with tomato and/or avacado slices. I drink an electrolyte powder serving in 12oz of water each fasting day with a multivitamin.
    I have such a fat loss boner right now, I almost regret having to break my fasts.

    I stopped eating white bread, sugars and processed food.

    Lunch and dinner: I only eat carbs in one of these meals (quinoa is my favourite), I measure the size of the protein with the palm of my hand (I love seitan, jack fruit, vegan burgers, tofu..) and eat salad on both meals (I like watercress with onion, tomato and olive oil dressing).

    At breakfast I eat Weetabix Protein with coconut unsweetened milk, banana and Shia seeds.

    In the middle of the morning I usually eat a tangerine.

    If I feel hungry late at night have rice crackers with avocado. I have a treat at the weekend. I do exercise (HIIT or full body free weights training) 3 times a week. I drink plenty of water (small sips during the day).

    Sometimes, between meals, I eat olives or unsalted dry fruits (pistachios, almonds) but not very often.

There are so many health issues that the medical and “health” industry get totally wrong. Maybe they don’t care about advice that they can’t monetize. Still, very few are diagnosing sleep apnea. Still, very few are prescribing diets like this for health and longevity. STill, we allow sodas and chicken mcNuggets to be the staple of school lunches. Still, we don’t recognize that traditional orthodontics pulls faces back and compromises airway.   • I have trained as a bodybuilder for almost 5 years now. And I can say that this is BS. You can’t lose 15KG in 3 months without putting your body on a huge calorie deficits whilst also building lean muscle. The only way would be to lose approx 2kg a month with high protein intake to preserve the lean muscle you build threw out those 3 months. But then he’d only lose 6 kg and build a base layer of muscles.

    To be honest to me it looks more like 6 to 8 months. And for views he says 3 months.

  • About Keto diet, he is not right by saying you can eat all kind of vegetables. You should not eat rice, potatoes, starchy foods, fruits too. They contain shugar, yes they contain also fiber, but still are too high in carbs.

  • re NZ and genome testing, the latest we’re being told here (NZ) is that the genome is related to the UK and Australian version of the virus as opposed to the Chinese and American strains.
