4 Cardio Tips for the Morbidly Obese 1. A modified HIIT will do. It’s not a “true” high-intensity interval training, but it can be close. I know that as a fat person, I would do anything for two minutes (um, yeah, just walking) my heart rate would shoot up to about 200. High intensity interval training (HIIT) isn’t reserved for just thinner people; obese or very overweight women and men are much capable of employing this method of exercise. There is probably nobody who stands to benefit from HIIT more than the obese, although they are often the last ones to join in on this type of workout.

So it is all well and good saying “HIIT is better than steady state cardio for fat loss”, but that depends on the intensity and the time exercised for. Some prefer steady state cardio (which is highly aerobic in nature) while others prefer high-intensity. After my doctor let me know that I was considered medically obese, I researched calorie counting, adopted the 80-20 rule for weight loss, started doing HIIT workouts, and shed the weight that was.

Any workout regimen that kicks your ass bad enough that you quit after a few weeks is pretty much valueless. If you’re morbidly obese, you have to figure out how to settle in for the long haul. I’m not sure whether that’s a vote in favor of HIIT or LISS cardio; personal preference obviously plays a big role here.-Andrew. If your current weight puts you in the “morbidly obese” category, starting a new exercise routine can come with some additional, unexpected challenges. The good news is that with a few simple modifications, you can create a workout program to fit your needs.

So you want to lose 50-pounds of body fat using HIIT methods and can’t do push ups. STOP You are out of shape and you are not ready for this sort of intensity. You are trying to use high-intensity training to lose plenty of body fat and that is go.

Fat Loss. One review looked at 13 different studies on 424 overweight and obese adults. It found that both HIIT and traditional moderate-intensity exercise can. While I agree completely that you have to get moving to improve your health, the biggest factor in weight loss will be your eating habits.

The single most important thing you can do in my opinion is to remove every bit of sugar (in all it’s forms).

List of related literature:

Because high-intensity cardio can take away fuel from your resistance training and then hinder recovery from resistance training, we recommend that you use high-intensity cardio very sparingly or possibly reduce or eliminate its use entirely as a contest prep progresses and calories get lower.

Even though traditional low-intensity, aerobic exercise can definitely improve heart disease risk factors, HIIT achieves the same results in less time, with fewer sessions(1).

If you have existing cardiovascular problems or other health concerns that limit your ability to exercise intensely, or if you are new to aerobic training, HIIT may not be right for you now, but you will be able to work up to it.

But a number of studies show that even in people with coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, metabolic syndrome, and obesity, HIIT can improve cardiorespiratory fitness at least as well as, and often better than, continuous, moderate-intensity training.

  • I just got done working out with you! This was my 1st workout since the beginning of the year! Thank you for sharing your routines! So happy to subscribe!

  • My new come too I’m not really big like you beauty but I find it so hard to keep up with other work outs but it was so easy to keep up you really motivated me if she can you can too!! Just burned 300 calories with this work out so thank you!!! I’m gonna probably do this work out every other day

  • This video is a fantastic idea. I am 220 pounds and I have plantar fasciitis and metatarsalgia and every bloody video on YouTube has skipping, jumping jacks and of course the dreaded burpee. Thanks for this

  • IM SO HAPPY THIS EXISTS!!! Thank you so much for making this, it’s so nice to see someone with a body like mine doing something like this for the exact reasons you said at the start

  • This was exactly what I needed. I could actually focus on working the right muscles instead of struggling with the move. I feel great after your work out instead of discouraged that I couldn’t keep up. Thank you, Holly!! Just subscribed.

  • I love this routine and I love that its made for real people. As hard as it is for someone like me to workout to those thin 20 year olds, this was a refreshing glass of water. This workout is perfect for me and I hope you release a few more. Thank you for all the help, much love ❤

  • I’m far from obese, but not in a very good shape. I really loved the video, it was the first one made for actual human beings. All the other videos seem to be made for super humans, who can bounce around like crazy.

  • I’ve been using the treadmill since December 26, 2019. I started off at a level 1, incline of 2. Now, I’m at level 3.5, incline of 8 and I’ve gained weight. I’ve changed my diet. No cokes, no sugar, no white flour. I’ve added more vegetables and whole wheat…even substituted real meat and went vegetarian for some meals. I try to work out every day for 30 to 40 minutes. I do treadmill and weights….no idea what I’m doing wrong. Any suggestions?

  • Well said. The problem with Personal Trainers is they don’t know what it’s like to be unfit because fitness comes easy to them. If they had to do something that was slightly challenging (away from fitness) they would give up in an instant. A bigger person’s body does not metabolise food at the same rate as a slimmer person. The problem is not theirs but once you know that we metabolise food at a slower rate or we store fat easily then we will need to make different choices to compensate for the slower metabolism, which will mean checking portion sizes and making healthier food choices because we unfortunately are not built the same as a slimmer person who can get away with leading an unhealthier lifestyle.
If we lived in Antarctica we would have the perfect physique & metabolism and we would be on the cover of all the magazines.

Being overweight means we cannot hide your difference where as slimmer person can hide their differences & insecurities because their differences/insecurities may not be external.
Let’s turn people inside out and give them transparent heads so we really see who has the problem.

Don’t give up, I still struggle with my weight and it is a life long battle but one that is winnable.

  • I work with a guy who did “insanity” he was close to 250. He’s short too. 5’9 maybe. He developed shin splints. And tore his meniscus. He did lose a shit tone of weight. But gained a lot back after injury. I will show him this video. Hope he don’t take offense.

  • thankyou so much for this, as someone who hasn’t done any exercise for months I needed this, maybe more stretching to begin with? I find now I’ve put more weight on my knees are weak, and doing the back kicks were quite painful, maybe not so much if I had stretched more. I loved it though so thankyou

  • I really really really appreciate this video. Thank you so much for this. You don’t understand how much of a positive impact this has.

  • I weigh 235 now. I used to weigh 370. The secret…Eat less carbs, walk for 45 min to an hour…everyday. That’s it. If you run and you’re fat, you’re an idiot!

  • You are fantastic, so refreshing, my saviour. I admire you. I am the same size and you make it look possible! I will exercise along with you.Thank you Holly

  • i was looking for the reason I follow you. its because of this video B/C im 250ish pounds and im kinda short 5’2 and i was gonna try this and forgot

  • I just had a baby and gained 50 pounds during pregnancy. I’ve also never been fit before so this work out was actually doable but also a challenge. I was definitely sweating!

  • I’ve been struggling to lose weight for a few years-my goal is to lose 80 lbs. I’ve never enjoyed exercising for the exact reasons you named at the start of this video. From today on, I’m going to “try” my hardest to add a bit of exercise to my daily routine and increase my water intake. Baby steps! ❤️

  • Thank you soooooo much for this! I’ve lost 70 lbs so far & still need to lose maybe 40 or so. I might actually be able to handle this. Or at least work up to it. I’m subbing to your channel! Appreciate you.

  • I’m just learning to be a PT now but I have to ask… Isn’t it out of our scope of practice to give nutrition advise? Shouldn’t we refer them to a registered dietitian?

  • Thank you soo much for this! So excited to try it!! Just started going to a gym 2 weeks ago, but not sure if I’ll be able to afford it every month. I’ve been searching for things I can do at home and this is the first realistic one. You could even use resistance bands if you wanted more of a challenge.

  • Oh thank you so much for this. I did a workout last week (Just a normal one for beginners) and i’m still hurting. I looked for a obese workout (i’m also a good 100pounds to heavy) and find you. I’m going to train with you for now on! Again thank you so much (ps i’m dutch, so excuse my english )

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! I find other workouts so difficult due to mobility issues but your videos are perfect. Having workouts that are achievable are so valuable, and seeing someone who looks like me doing them is really inspiring and helps me to believe in myself. Please keep going!

  • Hola me gustó mucho que una persona real muestre desde el principio yo soy una de las personas que busco personas reales de ver el cambio y verte me motivó mucho sigue adelante bendiciones

  • I have mobility isues due to a wreck, and falling on concrete. I did some of the exercises in a chair. Felt good. My goal is to be able to do all of the exercises. I need this bad. Thank you for this video.

  • I’ve been at at home since March because of covid 19, and I’ve been sitting at home most of the time. I’m already overweight and gained more being at home sitting all day. Simple walking has become a major chore for my body and I decided just now I need to do something. Anything. A quick YouTube search of workouts for obese led me here. First video I clicked on and this is perfect for me. I was only able to last the first 15 minutes but that was more than I’ve done all month. I will definitely try to do this every day and see how much longer through the video I can make it. Thank you so much for this video.

  • My doctor told me I wasn’t getting enough calories (only about 600 per day) and that I was sending my body into starvation mode. That calories in/calories out thing really messed with me and my metabolism and I couldn’t understand why I was gaining weight if I was eating so much less than everyone else. It’s still work to remember to eat enough. If I don’t and miss a workout for more than a day or two it feels like I’m starting over from scratch until I get in a groove again.

  • I just finished this workout. My first step to getting back to the ‘me’ I want to be. I am exhausted, but feeling great about it. Thank you for making these videos. No hesitation on subscribing. I will see you again tomorrow! <3

  • I have horrible knees and carrying the extra weight doesn’t help, but I am excited to give this workout a try since I can’t get on the floor and do squats. It’s nice to see and be able to workout with someone who looks like and breaths like me!

  • This was perfect for me! I have hardly any experience with floor exercises. I always felt awkward doing them at the gym. I was wobbly and shaky when doing the side planks, but as I got used to it, experimented with different positions, I wasn’t wobbly anymore! Thank you!

  • Most important thing to remember guys and girls is to never go beyond your limits! Stretch before and after. Im 335# and Im 61. I used to be very fit for my size ( well 80# lighter) I learned that when you are older if you don’t stretch your muscles shorten and injuries can happen easier when your beginning a fitness routine. I wish we lived close to each other Holly. So much we could learn from each other. Im not at all trying to turn attention from you because your doing wonderful and IM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!! I hope you get a huge amount of subscribers!

  • Your doing a great job love! No matter what people say KEEP GOING, I will be following you and working out with you too! We aren’t doing this for the mockers. You are inviting others in that sorely need a good workout and see that they are amongst wonderful company!!!!!! My modo has always been “Big Losers NEVER QUIT!!!!

  • Great info Mark! You’ve just described my journey from the last year n change from a little over 300 n fat as hell to low 200s and working on leaning down and maintaining/building more lean muscle compliments of the Alan Roberts wringer known as EveryDamnDayFitness! But tabata and other lower impact stuff was absolutely the way to go at the higher weights!

  • hello Holly!!! I’m so proud of you. This kind of workout is so helpful to those people who wanted to start like you. great job!

    -coachlei12 TV from Philippines

  • Thank you! I have never found a workout that would work for my size. I did this one today and was sweating but I felt so accomplished when I was done! It was so inspiring to see someone like me struggling through and completing it too! I recently went through a miscarriage and the pregnancy weight plus the depression eating after the loss made my lose all the progress I had made while trying to conceive. I hope that this workout will help me get back to healthy for my future rainbow baby.

  • Omg this workout is perfect for me. I’m gonna start doing it every day and see if I can build up my endurance. This plus 30min walking. I tried starting at 3 mph but I’m gonna go down to 2 and build up. You’re helping out so much. I’ve been looking for a good exercise routine to help me lose weight and this is perfect. Thanks.

  • Lovely…If Brian could stay the course, I could too! For me the 2 lb weights came out of the dusty corner and were enough. Thank you both. See everyone tomorrow AM…Be there or Be square!!!

  • I am chubby and have had a microdiscectomy on L4-L5 and there’s NOTHING online to help me out, and my doctors just told me to try not falling, nothing else. I’m doing cardio atm but I’m going to have to do some strength training too eventually, and NOBODY is helping…

  • Day 3, absolutely love this video. Only one that is real for people like me. Hopefully in a few months I can start to breath normally again. Thank you so much

  • Thank you! I’ve been stressing on how to begin my workout journey because I’m overweight and don’t have the strength to do the harder workouts yet. You go girl!

  • I had a horrible experience with a trainer when I was already 80 lbs down (around 212 lbs) and they totally didn’t understand or care to understand my eating disorder or help me with my nutrition.

  • Thank you so much for putting yourself out there for those of us that need this. It’s so encouraging to finally have a workout that doesn’t make me feel like a failure by the end. You’re wonderful

  • Okay this randomly popped up as I was leaving for work and I just desperately want to say THANK YOU.

Thank you so much for making something like this. The workout videos I’ve tried in the past have just left me deflated and crappy. I’ll be trying these tonight!

  • I love your workout the realness of your workout is so motivating definitely will use this workout thank you for sharing x keep it up.

  • i really appreciate this! most workout videos i see and just think well i can’t even move that fast. in PE classes i always found myself completely drained after a few minutes but this is all so much more achievable. also, seeing it done by someone who isn’t less than half my size is so much less demoralizing.

  • ok so i just did this workout, and oh my god i cant wait to do it again, i am very over weight and this work out was spot on, thank you so much Lockdown might have its upside after all.

  • Exercise is not always the Solution, Water Fasting is a great tool to learn to lose weight Naturally with out killing your self in the GYM, to water fast you need to train your body and mind for it, also keep in mind that sugar cravings are your number one Enemy, if you give in to sugar then you have broken water fast, here is something you guys can do to kill Parasites and lose weight at the same time, Its called Diatomaceous earth food grade, and you can buy it at Amazon.com its around $12 to $20 dollars, start with a small amount of it, 1/4 of a tablespoon and add it to 12 oz of water and drink it, and drink lots of water trow out the day otherwise you will feel Dry, weight your self a couple of times per week but dont stress, dont lose more than 10 pounds per mouth because you run into problems with lose skin. 8 pounds a month is perfect, this is a long journey, your goal should be 2 or 3 years, just calculate 8×12=96 =1 year

  • Being morbidly obese has ruined my life. I have nothing to look forward to. I can’t do anything without gasping for breath, bright red, sweating, being in pain so I’m rarely in public as it’s humiliating. This obviously makes it worse, as I just sit inside, I have no friends for support or to go out with anyway. I was also diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension and it makes physical activity even more painful. I paid for weightloss surgery 10 years ago, had some success til it made me really ill and failed in 2013 and now I’m heavier than ever at 325lbs.
At nearly 28 I have never been so down in my life and this weight is mostly to blame. All because I can’t stop eating fatty and sugary foods and am too embarrassed to go out. I hate myself for doing this and I still can’t stop, it’s like a slow suicide.

  • Thank you for this great to see that you recognise people’s struggles with food and understand that everyone is different. I love exercise but struggle with over eating and that very full feeling is my normal. I need a trainer like you

  • I wait to know that i am just 16 years old and i m gonna be 17 in may and i have gained weight and i am a student now I think that i am gaining weight too early i dont wanna be obese so can you tell me what a student can do to maintain his weight and to be obese

  • Damn girl you got my heart pumping. Was 154 kgs and now 115. The other workout I was doing was too easy, but this one got me in a sweat. Loveeee

  • When he said he didn’t want to make the video too long so let me get to the point, whew chile!! I felt that!! Almost started shouting up in here!! I will definitely be subscribing to this channel!!

  • Thank you from the bottom I’d my heart. I am obese and have been trying to lose weight. My last boot camp trainer would humiliate me in front of class to motivate me. I felt worthless and had to drop out for my sanity. I am now doing it on my own.

  • I’m relatively in shape, not at all obese, and this still totally kicked my ass. Very good, thorough workout. Not everything needs to be complicated or fancy!

  • I wasn’t sure that I could pull if off…after 6 minutes I was out of breath loll,..but I pushed myself…so I said to myself..if he can do it so can I…and I’m proud to have done it all the way..and now I’m gona do it 3 times a weeks..then 4 until I can do it everyday.

  • Thank you for this. I’m 5’6″ 250 pounds and I did a spartan run and completed this with only a month of conditioning…even though I planned to train for 9 months. I am very athletic, just eat bad and am only productive when I’m competing against myself or others. So most of my turn off happens when people plan me based on an overall criteria. I’m always either under stimulated or over worked and both cause me to say fuck it.

  • i dont eat much all day besides a morning coffee n a snack and then i eat carbs at night, usually take away and other rubbish.. this is so hard and has been so hard for me for years

  • I just joined gym. I scheduled an he training and the trainer gave me two minutes of his time. He same get on bike 10 minutes and walked away. Came back and said get on tread mill 10 minutes and left then put me on elliptical standing machine 10 minutes and walked away then 8 minutes in said ok come to front desk. When do you want to schedule again? I said wait a minute. Isn’t this a one he session? Then he started stuttering? Ummm well this is just a stress test and then I’ll see you once a month and you just follow what I write. I told him listen I didn’t came and schedule a session with you to walk on tread mill for ten minutes so he said want to schedule again? I said well I have to think about this because the chart says one he session he just cut me short and walked away from me and left me standing. I turn around and he started training someone else. He had a 3 person scheduled for that day but I was the only one schedule for the whole day. No one else was on list. I’ve never felt so embarrassed in my life. So I went straight to the weights and machines on my own.

  • Thank you so much for this video… it’s exactly what i needed to hear…all this advice is going to help and motivate me to get myself right…thank you thank you..God bless you Sir

  • I appreciate that you addressed number two on your list. I speak about that in my situation. I do not eat all day. I eat at the end of the day and it’s not always healthy. You did a great job with educating those that THINK they know why I am overweight. Thanks much.

  • I love the videos, as I am always trying to help clients as sensibly as possible. All the new trainers I work with, say I killed this client, or that a client could not walk for 4 days I hate that approach. I am training a 400lb client tomorrow and I am busy working on ideas today, as the client is also very very tall, some machines will even be too small.

  • Amazing video! Coming from someone who is interested in making personal training a business really valuable information to know

  • I think this video forgot to include how to help trainers understand that helping someone who is overweight doesnt mean shaming them for “choosing to let themselves get that big” punishment in working out isnt condusive to overall success for the client or trainer.

  • Your realistic and very excited I found your video!!! Most other videos trainers are unrealistic and well I am not down with that 😉 I am SOo excited to get started as I am 273 lbs 😉 Thank You!!!!

  • Thank you. Thank you so much. Your obese clients must love your insight.

I’m a big guy, my heart is doing 130+BPM just walking at a slow pace. Asking me to jog for 15 minutes on a treadmill is going to push that to 175+ (I’m 35+ so it’s practically MHR for me) results in me hanging out of my ass and needing to stop for 30 minutes to recover before I can even speak.

  • ok heyyyyyy ‍♀️ its corona virus 2020 now and I got to know how big man is doing years later and what’s his weight now? PLEASE ANSWER

  • I really like you because it is true people always assume just because I am obese i cannot do certain things but it is not true I actually am really able to reach and stuff like that. Also yes just because someone is obese doesn’t mean they eat alot!!! Dang you are so smart!! Great trainer

  • Exactly u have to play with their diet around you have some that just can’t eat that much so u go for calorie dense foods then you have the clients that can’t eat enough so u go for volume foods and as you say u have to help them change their relationship with foods let them have a reward meal once in a while you can’t kill them and cut everything out right out of the gate. We have so many options now with food that it isn’t that hard to find healthy alternatives to “bad foods”

  • Great imformation! However, I have a question: “Why is it always necc. To beat our last record time?” couldn’t. That be something to buildUp to?

  • Im big and I wish I wasn’t so scared of going to the gym. Like, I get in the mood to workout and hype myself up to be happy and then you get to the gym and see people stare, point and laugh. So right now im doing stuff at home in hopes that I can lose enough weight to be confident enough to go to the gym.

  • I’ve been doing this workout for 5 days and prior to that I did it for 2 days and stopped because of soreness (I pushed it too far trying to prove something to myself?!). I just wanted to say that after 5 days this workout has felt easier! Today I was able to go ahead without the video, so now I can take this little routine wherever I go. I’ve improved at leg curls and lunges and my balance is getting there. All this in 5 days, i’m genuinely surprised. If I get converted to loving standing crunches though, i’d be really amazed

  • I agree with you on potentially misjudging clients level of conditioning based on their weight. I’ve been surprised at times when I’m performing fitness assessments for larger clients who are more cable than I initially thought.

  • Respect. Very much a true trainer i would love to work with, from the bottom of my heart and soul I send you my spiritual respect.

  • “HELLO DOCTOR I WANT TO WALK TO THE STORE IS THAT OK?”
    “yes”
“HELLO DOCTOR I WANT TO WALK BACK HOME IS THAT OK?”
    “yes…”
“HELLO DOCTOR I WANT TO JOG ON THE SPOT IS THAT OK?”
    “…”

  • I’m trying to loose weight I walk 15kms and I also eat healthy plus I exersise in morning. My main problem is I don’t do it consistently. So I’m working on it

  • This guy is really smart, watching this video I felt like he was talking about me the whole time. I appreciate the fact that he can sympathize with somebody that struggling with weight loss… Excellent video…thank you!!

  • Thanks for this workout. I’ve been working out for weeks on other work out but my knees and ankles weren’t doing to great after a while, this is the perfect workout to do until I lose enough weight not to injure myself

  • I’m a plus size Zumba Fitness instructor. I have signed up for certification in my city this summer to continue my education.
Thank you for this video. I am hoping to come up with a fitness routine to help me loose the weight further… And help others as well.

  • I seriously hate the idea of a trainer because I’m sure they are prejudging me but you could every penny I have. you get it! YOU ACTUALLY GET IT!

  • I love your videos, very informative. However, have you noticed that you always point to the wrong place for the links to your other videos?! LOL. I think that is funny. Either way, i enjoy your content and will always be a fan.

  • Is the free training still avalible? I’m 40 years old and morbidly obese. 484lbs 5’11” I’ve started at the gym already and I’m tracking my food macros. I started April 16th 2018. I have no idea if I’ve lost weight yetbut I’m feeling 100% better now that I’m doing something physical everyday. I have been there everyday since I started. I got a workout from a coach there and am really enjoying it. I live in a really small town and with little to do this helps get me out of the house. This as a new path for my life. I need to change or I’ll die. I’m looking for all the information I can get. Where too start educating myself better with nutrition and fitness really interests me too. I know I’m vary new still but I want to get started learning everything I can. Thx for the video.

  • Thank you for this. I’ve become an emotional eater and with the weight I’ve gained I don’t have energy for fast pace workouts. Thank you again ❤️

  • I have gained so much weight rapidly. It’s keep me on the couch or in bed depressed. It’s so sad that I went from being independent and doing everything on my own to being winded just carrying milk. Or walking up my stairs. Watching thin fit people workout did not help. They don’t know how much the pain is physically and mentally. Thank you for these videos. I wanted to be around people who are not as fit or not fit like me. You’re motivationally inspiring. Thank you.

  • Hi I have 2 month old baby and my weight 67.8 I’m looking for good Nutrition plan if you could help me I will really appreciate it I really want to loos weight thx

  • My wife is well over 250 and just got her a gym membership with me she wants to hit weights but my question shouldn’t she do less weight but alot of reps?? and of course food diet

  • Thankyou so much. So informative ur content is very good in every video.. I have a question is to how to market yourself and how to make a close on clients

  • Nice video it encourages all people of all sizes to get into shape.is there anyway I can have a word with u. I m about 132 kg now I badly want to reduce my body. I have a lot of questions to start with can u help me out?

  • Cause of my weight i cant do exercises such as running, running mountian climb (this one because of my physical size), jumping squats etc cause it is excrusiating on my knees…

So instead i do an easier version such as normal squats instead of jumping, power walking instead of running, step punches instead of jumping punches etc. However i feel like im not working hard enough then….

    Does that make sense?

  • Finally some who understands that it isnt always easy to just run 10 miles at the fastest speed when you are fat! Like i am sorry but im a large person my heart literally cant handle it always push yourself, but dont go to hard and get hurt!

  • Hmmmm… Interesting. I can do that workout routine, but I need to find a different one for my dad.

He’s not as overweight as I am, but he’s got a bum leg. As in cancer treatment in his leg killed the bone 10+ years ago, then 2 years ago it snapped like a twig, and it will never heal because the bone is just calciumno live cells anymore.

So standing on his leg is painful, bending over is painful, and squats are painful. So I need to find him a workout routine that works out the muscle of his leg, without putting a lot of stress on it.

But I can 100% try this workout. I don’t expect to lose weight, but I’ve been gaining weight since I was 10 and never stopped.
I’ve tried dieting, I’ve tried yoga class, I’ve tried swimming, I’ve tried belly dance, cycling, treadmill… None of it slowed down the weight gain. PCOS and depression is hecking fun.

I mean, I felt better exercising. I had less aches and pains, so even if it doesn’t slow my weight gain, I wanna do it anyway.

I hope, I really, really hope that I can keep myself from crossing the 350lb line. I hope I can stop gaining weight before that, even if I have to bust my ass to keep at 340lbs. No weight loss goal, I’ve been down that disheartening road before. I would be happy if I spent all my life at 300lbs. I don’t need a beach body. I’m not terribly proud or vein. I just… Don’t want to die of obesity, you feel me?

Getting down to only overweight (180-200lbs for me) is my pie-in-the sky dream… Akin to dreaming about what I would do if I got hired by SpaceX or NASA.

But, if I cross the 400lb mark, I’ll consider weight loss surgery.

  • I loved this, I could do every move. I wasent the only one getting winded and you are so sweet and encouraging Thank you I hate it when super fit ppl make work outs for fat ppl like me or begginers they dont eaven sweat

  • I m from India
    I m 138 KGS.

Can u come some more videos
    A only standing
    B only sitting.

    I cant do both together.

    Exercise is what I hate.

Eat is what I love.can’t control.

This is best video I found on YouTube for people like me.

    Thanks for this video

N see my body I hate myself

  • Hit 224lbs the other day and decided I’ve had enough of being ‘The Big Girl’ in my town. This low impact routine is great! Has left me exhausted but let’s see how it goes

  • Are you OUT OF YOUR MIND? I ran all my life. I DARE anyone my age or even 10-15 yrs younger to try to keep up! Running doesnt work for some people because its HARD to START.

  • I’m already overweight and gained 60!additional lbs since Apr 2020. I just finished this workout and I am dripping sweat. Holy moly! Here is to moving my ass again!

  • I am 104 kg. Most of the workouts I tried earlier involves some sort of jumping which puts stress over my calf and for the next 3 days I will not be able to continue the workout due to the pain but this work out did not put any stress on my legs but at the same time it is exhausting (at least for me) and I need to take a 3 min pause instead of the 1 min pause b/w the first and second set but glad that I completed it.

Today is my first day. Let’s see how it goes. I will post my weight once a week.

    Week 0: 104.4

  • I streched it out a bid into a 1 hour workout and stuck with it and did this for one week I have already lost 2 pounds this is crazy this man is very motivating I love this video

  • So I started this workout today. I am not overweight or obese I am normal weight but I am beginner so I chose this workout.
Let’s see how long will I be able to keep up with this workout.
    My starting weight is 58.4
    Height 5’3
    Age 15
Day 1: I did the workout in casual shirt and lawn flapper, for me the workout was easy I only got trouble doin the squat and lunges as I hate them the most. In between the half workout I started to sweat, at the end of the 1st set my flapper looked liked I peed. When I reached at punches in the 2nd set my heart rate got so high and I felt like I am going to faint right now so I stopped the workout for about a min and so, after that I started it again and then it became easy like before. After completing the workout I didn’t felt pain. I have done a few beginner workouts before but after 2 to 3 mins of workout my body will feel like someone have hit me, so I will leave the workout incomplete, but this time I completed the whole workout and didn’t felt any pain after that. So I am really happy with the workout, and I would highly recommend this workout to all the beginners cause this is really easy.
Day 2: yay! Today is the day 2. Wow, I am so happy about it cuz it’s the first time for me to complete the second day. It was a bit easier than yesterday but today my armpits hurt a bit. I also sweat less than yesterday. I am so happy that I was able to keep up with the workout. I completed the whole workout with her with no extra breaks. Yay! I am also going to start intermittent fasting. Let’s see how long will I be able to keep up with it. Love you Joanna. I am so happy that I found your this workout. Btw you are so cute. Bubyeee

  • Thanks Joanna. This was great . I have arthritis in my knees so the low impact was great. The Burpees were the most challenging as I can’t bring my knees up enough.

  • As an overweight out of shape asthmatic this workout though a bit hard on my breathing is been so helpful for me. Its helping me gain better control of my breathing while giving me a low impact workout my body can actually handle.

  • Third day of doing this workout. Enjoying it so much. I am overweight and I just basically want to start moving and be more active and this helps me a lot. Already subscribed and hopefully I can soon do some of your other workout videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about fitness and how to have a healthy lifestyle. Bless you.

  • Do you even know that you are being listened and followed by French people interested in such exercices? You provide in the same time physical practice, and English lessons (since it helps to practice the hearing of your language), this is awesome!

  • Hi Joanna, thank you for this workout program!
I’m only 161cm but have around 106 kg… I tried other workouts before, but they were way too hard for me. This one of you is hard and exhausting too but I can actually do it! And it’s pretty fun too!!

    Thanks!

  • My self-confidence really got to a low back then, and combined with the fact that I lost my grandmother a few years back so food was my comfort. I just started doing this workout and I hope that by 5 months time I may lose weight (currently I’m at 120 pounds) Wish me luck!

  • My husband is working out to loose weight and I am too after having a baby. Thanks for an easy to follow workout. You explain thingsvery well!!

  • 11:32 mins in and I’m gonna start doing this everyday. Then start another exercise video. Also a dancing exercise video as I love doing those. Preferably kpop dances. Anyways this got me very motivated. Thank you.

  • As a previously obese client myself, I really appreciated my former trainer who respected me and knew that I could go hard despite my weight. Very good video from a client’s perspective as well. Thanks!

  • I have the upmost respect for the trainee for taking a step for losing weight because I stared at 383 lbs and losing the pounds and the upmost respect for the trainer a love the compassion you have and the fun you make it

  • Currently sitting at 564 at 26 years old about to be 27 I was gonna do the gastric but then Corona said “haha fuck you”

So after a two week depression I found this video and did my first day today I’m not gonna let my depression or this weight control me anymore I’m tired of just existing I want to live again

  • I’m not a personal trainer but everything you’ve said here is spot on. Ive carried myself from 400 lbs to right now I’m in the low 200s and I’ve learned so much and this is so true everything you’ve said here. I still get looks when I smoke people in the gym. Lol. Thank you for this info!!

  • 13th day doing this and I decided to do 3reps and I feel like dying but so happy coz I did it. I am seriously enjoying this workout.

  • The first time I did this exercise I can barely do squats and I can’t do the lunges. Ever since, I did this exercise every morning and I can do and endure all the exercise.

  • Last year I battled cancer and decided this is my year to battle obesity and diabetes and I am doing just that already off one insulin and 60lbs down come on guys lets get healthy together… We are worth it….

  • Thank you, Joanna! I just want to add to all of the other helpful comments that this workout is also good for people who suffer from frequent lapses of acute pain (especially in the abdominal.) This is truly helping me get back into working out again!

  • thank you so much joanna for creating this excersise workout. i am extremely overweight im 321lbs at 5ft 2inch in height, its very hard for me to excercise. but with your workouts i can do. i just have to keep pausing your videos for micro breaks to catch my breath. thank you so much. your awesome

  • Keeping it real here. I am 320pounds, 6’1″ and 29% body fat. Im a big dude. I have done insanity more times than I can remember and every time I have to fight through an injury of some sort and I know it is because I am too fat. The warm up and stretching in insanity is a great thing though.

  • Hi Joanna I just downloaded this workout to start as I am start a weight loss journey. My current weight is 270 and I am 5ft 3″.my question is how much calories can I burn doing this workout? I want to add to my fitness pal app which I am also using on this journey.

  • My goal is to become a healthy weight for once in my life.
I have always been overweight, even as a kid. I always ate unhealthy and never liked working out because that sweaty feeling that made me uncomfortable, along with mental health issues that made me insecure.
Doing this workout was difficult for me but I definitely felt the burn and the sweat! So I won’t give up and I’ll keep coming back to this video everyday.

  • Hey Marc, I’ve been watching your videos the last months and I really enjoy them. I’d like to support you, but I am a fucking vegan motherf***er. Are you planning on selling vegan protein and BCAAs? Thanks. Because being a vegan lifter, ITS NOT A GAME.

  • Mark this is the worst video I’v ever seen.
    1. I was over 400 lbs and I lost over 200 lbs….Using HIIT training on ellipticals and exercise bikes. And I used HIIT training because because static cardio wasn’t working.
    2. If you don’t use HIIT training your not taking advantage of progressive load…My first workout lasted 5 mins….My 10th workout was 30 mins. After a month your cardiovascular system slowly starts to adapt, increasing your lung capacity.
    3. HIIT helps your body learn to deal with lactic acid build also which in turn increases your general fitness level all around.
    4. I’m not a bull$hit trainer but I’d never make someone with knee problems or hypertension do sprints or any other High impact exercise so using hill running is just a fallacy to began with.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU!! ❤️❤️ after 4 years of never working out, having a baby and gaining 70 lbs it is so intimidating to try and get back in to exercising but you are making it manageable

  • My son is almost 11 months. I gained 63 lbs my pregnancy. I’ve lacked the motivation to exercise and just feeling sorry for myself. I found this video and did it today. I am sweating and my body is fully engaged. I hope to come back tomorrow!!!

  • I absolutely love this and thank you for sharing it with us! Finally, a real and do-able full body workout, that really is for bigger people. It makes such a difference just to see someone bigger doing the exercises and struggling like us bigger people do, and not some perfectly thin, fit person moving too quickly and being patronising. I appreciate your struggles moving around on the mat just to change positions something fit people just don’t get or understand. On those videos, I’ve never been able to keep up as much as anything because they’re already half-way through the set before I’ve even managed to change positions on the mat, or got from standing up to sitting down! This is a serious game-changer and I hope your videos go viral! Please continue sharing your journey with us. You will make such a difference to so many people’s lives.

  • Mark thanks love your content, you a very smart guy who doesn’t come off like a jerkoff. I have a question im 36 with a test level of 180 should i go on test replacement?

  • Great elliptical! >>> ur2.pl/1139 Exactly what I wanted and as described. Provides a great workout while operating smoothly and quietly. My fiancé put it together in less than two hours by himself and we’ve been using it ever since!?

  • I just finished doing the whole work out and I got more of sweat out of it then my 1km walks i started doing this week.
The sweat I got made me feel like I was in a gym!! Seriously im so happy u found you!
    Thankyou!!!! ❤

  • Morbidly obese people looking to lose weight should start training somewhere where they aren’t crushing their knees with their entire bodyweight every step (pool, bike, etc)

  • The beginning was fine I was really pleased even find this video so I actually decided to try it now I’m 60 years old or will be soon and I have had a broken back and the lower part of my back the L1 I believe and I broken my left arm and the upper part of by the shoulder and I broke the other shoulder at the cuff that actually goes in broke it on both sides and some liability with my arms it’s something I’ve been working with for a while just from my couch I’m extremely disabled really and I can’t stay up long on my feet because of my back and my obesity is due because of my inability to move and so I enjoyed doing the stuff that I could definitely cannot do anything on floor so I’m wondering how much to patch could I possibly do that on the bed even just to the 1-2-3 stretch out on something lower like maybe in my coffee table if it would support me and then kind backed up I’m definitely not ready for touching my toes that’s not so so I’m just wondering can we change it be made and if I did that how much damage would there be to my back possibly or my knees that are one particularly is very arthritic so I guess maybe your workout is more for younger and over-sized I’m more older with disabilities and a lot of problems more in Mobile parts and I love the fact that I found you

  • This is probably the worst bit of information you can give someone who is obese, let alone morbidly obese.

    1. Go see your medical doctor for a yearly physical check-up.

    2. Ask doctor what type of low-impact aerobic exercises a person at your weight can reasonably accomplish.

    3. Get a work-out buddy or friend to go with you to work out and/or walk. As this is for safety and to keep the boredom from setting in. Safety, for those just in case moments when either one of you could have a medical emergency.

    4. Don’t do yoga until you’re about 25 30 overweight or under that, you’re body, as being morbidly obese will not increase in flexibility because your body’s core muscles and joints are under undue stress because you’re overweight. You may wind up straining or over-extending one of more joints by accident when attempting to do yoga.

    5. Do warm and cool down stretching from a standing position; only. Using a park bench to help you do an assisted lunge is a very good idea. Morbidly obese people will not be able to do a normal lunge as seen in yoga.

There are other suggestions, too but it’s all about common sense.

  • step 1: drive your car off a cliff. step 2: stay in your car, do not try to get out, or you won’t lose weight. step 3: the worms will take care of the rest.

  • @thegagalover1 it depends, if you’re 6 ft tall and 12 years old then 149 is okay but if you’re 4 ft 6 than you’re considered to be morbidly obese.

  • I’m 187cm tall and stocky naturally, I weigh 108kg. Going to get down to 80kg hopefully! Going to be a good journey to get back into my old clothes

  • This is exactly what I needed to see. So many workout videos are so intense but this instructor seems really down to earth and helps you to learn your own pace. Thank you for sharing this!

  • If you have knee problemsyou may want to avoid any incline or fast increase in speed. If you have to do knee strengthening workouts do sobut do what’s best for you or a routine that’s recommended by a sports doctor and he wont curse at you the whole time.

  • Thank you for this. There’s a lot of embarrassment involved and this kind of strong confidence while still being firm and honest is really helpful to hear. I would kill to know a trainer like you!

  • this guy says by evidence based data that overweight beginner should not do hiit https://youtu.be/bYsBBxO5b4Q according to this article https://www.tigerfitness.com/blogs/diet-weight-loss/hiit-cardio-morbidly-obese

  • Im 400 + and i just did this work out for the full 30 mins and i feel the burn, in my body everyday im going to do this 1 a day and lose the weight

  • Your so right!! It was hard for me to eat a lot. Meeting my macros and calories was always hard for me. And i can run as fast as a skinny person..lot of personal trainers i had judge. Think because im a big girl i cant do alot.

  • This works. I was doing this video a few days a week and pounds fell off. You must stay consistent to keep the weight off. FYI I am a woman. Anyone can do it.

  • I’m 330lbs.. been searching for an exercise that will not make me stop moving as beginner.. I’m gonna try this! Hopefully i can keep it up….
    Much love from malaysia ❤❤❤

  • Day 1, of my first serious attempt at fitness starts with this, it was easy to follow, encouraging as all hell and actually was a bunch of fun to do

  • Thank you Holly Can’t thank you enough for making this video.. I’m 90 kgs too.. I’m also on a weight loss journey.. and I am breaking down every other day.. because I cannot see results. Don’t feel like looking at the mirror too.. I think people like me can relate.. I hope all the people like me come across your video and be motivated.. you are doing a greeaaaat job.. you had my love at first sight.. or I should say love at first video

  • I found this during the pandemic in 2020. I am a heavy dude (300lb + my age) and have been looking for something to start the day with. Also switched my morning cereal for a protein shake. Guys let me tell you this felt amazing. Like Brain, I never went above a 7 out of 10.

  • I don’t know if you’ll respond but I’m 16 and I weigh 187 lb… Can I do these exercises as well or should I not? I don’t want to try these knowing that it could do more harm than good…

  • Hi…i am so glad that I came to know ur channel… I started workout… I will keep u post my transformation… God bless u… U r fitness guru for me..

  • 1:15. This reminds me of when I was majorly overweight (nearly 420 pounds). People were always shocked by my leg strength. I vividly remember a nurse at my doctor’s office saying “wow! I wish I had your calves! Those are rock solid!”. People were always a bit shocked by that. But…If you think about it, of course it makes sense. Those legs were carrying around 420 pounds. I wasn’t stationary. I hadn’t gotten to the point of being stationary. I’d be walking 3 to 4 miles to the record store, or walking around the mall, or doing normal every day walking every single day. I hadn’t gotten to the point of siting around unable to move yet, thanks god. So of course my legs were going to have some serious muscle to them considering what they were carrying around each day. And I could run super fast. It was just long distances that were the issue. If I raced some people across my yard I could beat them, for many people. But if we had to run down the street? I’d be gasping for air by the time I got two houses down.

  • I’m watching this on MAY2020 in quarantine. This is inspiring, i’m so proud of the obese man! Clapping for him, great coach he got too.

  • Was relieved when you mentioned tabata. As a bigger guy who is working to shed years of bad decisions, with a sustainable, healthy shift in my life, tabata has been a godsend. When I started, I knew full blown HIIT would stress the joints, and I knew I’d get too winded to be 100% effective, but tabata helped increase my endurance 10 fold. In just the first month, I found I could go longer and harder with my sustained, low intensity training and with my everyday movements. Six months in, I found myself walking around Europe, roads I traveled the year before, without being winded, exhausted, or needing to stop every mile or so. This article will help so many overweight people; it’s why I am loyal to TF.

  • Thank you so much for this! I’m struggling right along with you! Thanks for making me feel HUMAN about that struggle you are perfection

  • This is great. I’m 350 lb and starting my weight loss journey. Here’s a workout I can do daily in addition to weights and riding the bike. Eventually I will do the P90X work out.

  • arr i hate clip where people bla bla bla bla. i though it s a clip with picture, a story with it s protagonist on video, see the defference of 100kg to 70kg not a man who talk infinite time

  • I’m 200 lbs and 14, I’m more chubby than fat because I’m pretty tall but I’m still really over weight and hope to feel confident in a bikini some day. I tried other work out but I’m just so over weight I wasn’t capable.

  • Thank you Brian! I saw you doing it, so I tried it myself. It was my first workout in 15 years! I feel great and will keep doing it!

  • Omg!! I love so much this video. I’m feeling emotional. I’m crying . It’s amazing how this guy working. I know how hard is for overweight people workout. Congratulations.keep going.

  • I really like your first point. I have never heard anyone talks about it though. I am obese. My BMI is 37. Yet I am very flexible and fit. I can do a full split. Even thin people cannot keep up with me in cardio. Also they need my help with heavy objects. Yet I am always treated as “the lazy fat and stupid woman”. I dont eat that much too. My fit thin husband eat more than I do..

  • Great video and refreshing to see compassion and understanding of why overweight people, including myself, are completely intimidated about going to the gym etc. It’s the first time I’ve ever heard a personal trainer say that because I’m obese doesn’t mean I am not flexible. Being fit and active in the past, I have a strong core and know how to use the muscles which means I can do more than many expect. It’s ironic that most exercise routines are needed by obese people the most yet many feel they can’t access it. Doing a routine where you can’t do anything and end up in complete pain then and for days after is the worst feeling and saps all your confidence and motivation. I wish you could be my personal trainer. Let’s hope others see your video and take note

  • I’m 380 + as I’m texting this msg.just finished this workout with my kids. Thanks Brother for posting this workout with a big man I can relate to. Just feels great just after the first day.may we be blessed.

  • I’m back on here. I found this in Jan Did it nightly then gave a shot to P90 which is the first p90 Tony came out with. I still can’t keep up. Level 1-2 is suppose to be 6 weeks long then the level 3-4 6 weeks. I can’t get past level 2. I was doing fair considering I hadn’t done it in a while now I’m back at square one. So I’ve come back here just so I can keep moving. This journey is hard and tough. I’ve gotten in contact with Brian on Twitter trying to get him on here and FB but……he hasn’t appeared. LOL….. yet. Maybe Rob can get him.

  • I am fat and I needed a workout that I could start and not feel like it was to much. Now with covid 19 this video could save my life.

  • Thank you so very very much Joanna for you do able exercises. Due to bad knees I have trouble doing other exercises, but not with yours. Thank you again!

  • Really love this workout, you can follow at their pace or speed up to your own level/ pause and extend reps amounts. I have found myself on days where I’m feeling extra active challenging Brian to see how many reps I can do in his 10. Thanks again ☺

  • I am a 19 year old girl and I weigh 371lbs. I thought itd be impossible for me to work out on my own but finding this has givin me the hope that I can do this. Thank you for uploading this <3

  • Had a heart attack 3 months ago at age of 37, big wake up call, this has given me so much inspiration and has been an immense help with my rehab. Guys like you inspire, thank you.

  • Lovely trainer, very encouraging but not patronising! But the other guy! What a champ! I hope he’s reaching his goals, he has such a lovely attitude

  • This quarantine has given me anxiety, depression, and worry about my future and the future of my loved ones. You can see that obesity is a major disadvantage in being able to fight this virus. Im 30, 6’1″, and 405 lbs. Ive weighed as much as 470 in my past and have been up and down through the years. Im committed now, more than ever. I did this workout today and will continue this work-out until I am able to do more. I’m thankful this video is here, @beachfitrob.

  • Covid-19 has taken so much from us, lives, jobs, family, exercise… Thank you for giving back. When life returns to normal this will be my go to video series. BTW, I love feathered guys attitude, ten years of not working out and he has a fabulous attitude towards working out. Thanks beachfitrob for giving the “obese” a healthy and gentle guide to exercising!

  • This is a fabulous home work out! Thank you Rob, Tony, Brian, & your vidiographer! I used my water bottle for the ‘lawn mowers’ & two coffee jars for the shoulder flyes. I’ve collected some milk bottles of increasing sizes up to 2 litres so I can increase the weight. I’ll go & check out the new modificayions. Again, thank you!

  • Ms. HOLLY, where you been all my life. Lol I am a new Subscriber. I just now saw this video, and was watching while reading through some comments and girl you are wonderful. With me being overweight and middle aged woman I honestly think i can do this workout. And again I love that it apartment friendly and no jumping lol

  • I just found you!! Subscribed! After a 4 year illness (very very long story for another day), I have minimum 60 pounds to loose. 35 years ago, I sported a 28 inch waist, and I don’t even kid myself I could ever achieve this, but with my health issues, which include 2 auto-immune disease, I really need to be healthy. Thank you for this! I’m going to start from the beginning and watch them all.

  • I was morbidly obese. I started this 3 weeks ago. I was 85kg. Today i weighed myself and i’m 75kg. I lost 10kg in 3 weeks with this workout and a low carb diet keep it going guys. It works even if you’re not 100+. And i actually love working out now. Initially did this because of my weight and asthma

  • I’m 36, 175lbs., started at 300. now I’m still working out and getting certified as a trainer. I found my passion and you guys can do it!!! the whole time I didn’t think I could and then I was there

  • Thanks man. At least i can put it in my self lock down activities lol i watched it last year. But never did it for a long time. I will try to be consistent from now on. Since at least nothing to do other than knitting during the lock down

  • i have so many health problems and this is my go to video. doing 3/4 times a week and haven’t previously worked out in maybe a decade. will let you all know how my weight loss goes

  • Ive been using YouTube to workout and its been so tough. Thank you for helping. These workouts seem way more doable for me! Babysteps are keyyy!

  • Guys as good as this guy is, do hiit, I’m obese 18 yr old 6ft and I weight 286lb, i started Intermittent fasting 4 days ago but I started HIIT 1 month ago and lost 15lb. Do hiit. Hiit is basically going as hard as you can for 30 seconds. Don’t matter if it’s slow to others, unless your doing 30 seconds of your 100% effort you’ll see results in time trust me!!!

  • why the profanity?!?!?!?!?! was excited to do this workout with this guy until he started with the profanity very offensive! lost a viewer and a potential sub!

  • Just started this in January it started off once a day in the mornings now I do it once in the mornings followed by 30 mins on my exercise bike then I hit this workout again around 9 PM every night. I haven’t missed a workout since I started and I got the video memorized just about I love it!

  • Thank you so much. I was looking for something like this. I’m 150 over weight. I have heart failure. I need a excercise like this. I just dont want a gastric bypass.

  • My level is a bit higher than this, but this is the first video I see that would’nt discourage my sister from joining me at the gym. When she tries to exercise, she feels bad about herself, because everything is hard and she’s self concious about the way she looks. I used to feel the same way, before I went vegan and lost some of the weight. This is so cool man!:) With exercises at her level, she won’t beat herself up!:) This video doesn’t apply to me but you’ve got a new subscriber just for that. And the free plans on your site too?! Nice!

  • Chris, I ain’t gonna lie, @ 325lbs I need you in my life man fo sho. And it would be awesome to train with you but you 2000 miles away in TX.

  • I think trainer’s should help clients…start with nutrition mealsBecause,I don’t care how long you in a gym exercise….it want help nothing? If your nutrition is not good

  • The real strategy is 10 minutes going from 1.5 steady increase to 3.0. Put your legs on the side. Ramp it up to 5.0-6.0 hop on the belt for 10-20 second intervals. I’m 5’11 and 290 I was 301. You gone have stronger lose weight and get stronger arms from lifting your body lol.

  • Thank you for your motivation and these video..I definitely watch your videos before I start my gym Workout which is daily. I just sub to your page.. Please subscribe back and stay subbed. @MzSugaaa family with 3 (a’s

  • I’m 63, quite overweight and very short of breath, but I’m not ill. Today I’ll get my first exercise machine, a 2 in 1 cross trainer. I feel moderately enthusiastic about seeing to it finally that I’ll keep healthy in old age. Thank you for this great video! I’ve watched so many of those trainers, slim, good looking, proper talk, trying to tell me WHERE to get to! Impossible. I have to start at 0. And that’s what this video is all about. I shall watch it again and again. Keep on talking the way you do, that’s far more motivational than all this “nice” talk! Sunny greetings from Spain! I’m sure you WILL reach your personal goals as well! I wish I could hire you as my personal trainer! Will there be DVDs in future for overweight, short of breath total beginners?

  • Yes!!! When I first started on my journey 6 years ago. I started slow. I did what made me comfortable. Within 4mos, I was walking at 4.5 pace, incline was same. I did use the rails to hold to, because I was scared of falling. It help with my arms tho too. Now, that I am on my way back on the journey. I started the same way. The first few days I stayed at 3.0 with 2.5 incline for 30mins. This week I’ll bump it up. For me I feel the key is to push yourself, but you know your limits. Do what makes you comfortable. Just don’t be afraid to push yourself every 2 or 3 days. It worked for me.

  • Started this at 68kg with 158cm height! My goal is at least 52 kg at the end of this year. I also do low carbo diet. Does that sounds realistic or too unchallenging?

  • Any fat people here actually do this and notice results? I’m genuinely asking a serious question. Being a fat fuck my self lol. I have a bad back and some fucked up ribs that never healed properly making some work outs very difficult. Also I use the term fat fuck not as a derogatory term that is just what I refer to my self as.

  • This is what I do!!! I thank God for guiding me. I do intervals, and challenge myself all the time. I jog, and incline off and on. I found it, that you burn more fat that way, to give your body a little rest, then jump right back into the work out. I love it!!!! It’s only going on 2 weeks, and I was jogging on the mill from day 1!!! Like I said, a challenge. Thanks for this video!!!!

  • This is just the push I need brah! Damn, I wish you were my trainer. Every time I slack up you can just pop me with a switch and I’ll get it together. Lol. But, seriously…..your videos are fire! Come to Dallas, Texas and I’ll be in one of your videos. I’m one of those overweight women that need you pushing me.

  • you’re so relatable & real LOVE IT. tired of seeing these uptight ass fitness gurus that are way too serious & strict about EVERYTHING.

  • “you damn near don’t want to workout anyway’ too funny. I use this routine and its works good however my knees be a lil sore but im going to keep at it. no pain no gain right.

  • Thanks so much! 35 and weigh 243 and I’m 5’6″. I’ve been going to the gym for a month doing cardio and weights. I’ve noticed that my walking isn’t getting my heart rate up, I tried doing hiit on the treadmill and my knees hurt so bad the next day. I’m gonna try this!

  • Dude you are awesome. As an overweight person myself I could speak on behalf of many of us that we want to lose the weight, I know what needs to be done but often intimidated by others working out and even trainers, but I would GLADLY take the time out to train with you. Gyms need more trainers like you and we would gladly become loyal customers. What gym do you train at. If im even anywhere in your state you would be worth the drive to meet and train with. You have a new subscriber keep up the awesome work with encouraging attitude. I can not say thank you enough!!!!

  • I was about to talk crap on this video but I should smack myself for lacking with my reading comprehension. This is, in fact, a good start for overweight people a good HIIT version for overweights.

  • Thank you for this. You and your client were an excellent team and the exercises were properly modified to suit those of us whose size and fitness level rule out certain movements. I did the exercises along with you and I enjoyed it. Which is… a miracle, quite frankly.

  • I’m not afraid I’m fat cause I let myself go in my teen years I was 120 wet now I’m 386 and I’m on my own journey to be A Puerto Rican Beast even if it takes me into my 60’s to do it. Now I’m 46 years old. I still have not found the right program I have been jumping back and forth from Powerlifting to bodybuilding.
