  • I have never hate fast food and the reason is not because I care about my diet or health it’s just when I go into Mc Donald’s or bk or Wendy’s or Chinese food the smell that comes off makes me nauseous and I feel like vomiting!   • Not accurate. They don’t eat oatmeal for breakfast in Southern Italy or Greece or Spain. They eat bread, usually with jam, or a hard biscuit, and coffee with milk. Sometimes plain yogurt with honey and fruit. No one snacks. This is healthier than the SAD but not by any means a traditional Mediterranean diet. Fail.

  • Guys. lost tons of weight doesn’t need to be hard (I used to think it did). I will give you some tips now. Get a popular weight loss secrets called Custokebon Secrets (just google search it).   • Paleo diet should only make sense if you would stick to less processing your ingredients. In this case, cooking turkey bacon (which shouldn’t be ingredient for that way of eating anyways) is in some way processing it. Why not eat it the way it is? Also, use of flour and all other stuff makes even less sense, as you lose nutrients while processing. Eating the whole grains makes more sense for that diet, rather than using the product such as flour of the same.

  • This doesn’t represent the traditional Mediterranean diet. It is more like one of the “trendy” diets that occurs with the fashion of non fat gym girls.

  • I am on 1200 kcal a day for the next ten days, and I can’t believe how much food it is. After the ten days I’m going to bump up to 1500, until I get under 200 lbs.

  • Anyone else here on a diet and watching these videos just to feel even more hungry? Literally been eating around 500 calories for the past 3 days, I’m only eating once a day for lunch. Surprisingly I don’t feel that hungry. At over 200lbs/90kg I felt it’s time to lose some weight. 75-80kg should do and I’ll hopefully achieve it in the next 2 months.

  • I am a natural big and strong endomorph, and to be lean and mean, I have several principles:1: Don’t eat sugar and junk food. I just always start my lunch with a salad, and the big rule number 2:To have fruits and veggies every time I eat. 3: Aerobic activity (running, tae-bo, interval training) every day, for half an hour. If it has to be something lighter, like riding a bike or walking make it at least an hour. And there you have it a recipie to be a sexy endomorph:)

  • I’m in the same boat. Have been on a 1200 calorie “diet” for months. I am sedentary because of work, & have been slacking on my healthy food this last month. I also have not been exercising. But I still have not gained back any of the 32 pounds I’ve lost, I just don’t feel as light or energized. So this was a good pick me up video to watch for me, since Ive decided tonight that I need to get back on it! Haha

  • I remember 1984. That was when Dr. Atkin’s book was flying off the shelves. I gained weight on Atkins because the hype was “You can eat as much as you want.” Turned out that just wasn’t true. I’ve been strict keto now for about a year but if you’re trying to lose weight, total cals must be taken into account. You can’t eat a pound of lard and expect to lose weight.

  • There is no one “paleo” diet. All indigenous diets are local. In the arctic that means large amounts of animal products. At the equator that can mean lots of mangoes. All indigenous people eat animal products, but the macronutrient proportions vary widely.

  • Our healthy hunter ancestors ate mostly meat, but I have no doubt if they found an apple on the ground they didn’t ignore it. We are meant to eat meat, fruit, and some vegetables. Fruit and veges may not be as nutrient/calorie dense but they still have various nutrients that are harder to acquire in meat only.

I can’t eat,pastas, beans, breads, sugar, potato, every sauce has to be homemade. and only 2 fruit a day. it’s hard but the other day I cheated and ate Whataburger. i hade diharrea haha. my mom did this diet w. work outs. 4months ago she was 180ibs. now she’s 130 ibs she’s my motivation

  • When considering eating healthy, you must try not to fall victim to modern day fad diet plans. Extreme diets undoubtedly are a risk for your health, especially ones that seriously limit your daily nutritionary intake. Many of these fad diet plans work for a short time period and then the benefits decrease after a while.   • I am studying as a health coach and the thing I keep hearing over and over again is how important exercise is. Especially if you have a job where you are sitting most of the day. All it takes is 30 minutes a few times a week at least. Exercise alone can improve so many health issues and obviously help with weight loss/maintenance. You are doing a great job with your diet though. That flatbread looks amazing.

  • Has anyone used the Fenoboci Diet Plan to lost a ton of fat? Simply just do a google search. On there you will discover a great suggestions about how you can lost a ton of fat. Why don’t you give it a chance? maybe it’s going to work for you too.

  • I know this is a year old, but saying Keto is generally healthy is complete misinformation. Longterm, it is detrimental due to high levels of saturated fat and limiting fruit consumption as well as food diversity in general.

  • I literally searched YouTube for 1200 cal. I have one more week of a 6 week challenge and I’m at 1200 which is the lowest I have been since I started IIFYM over 2 years ago. I am 5’0. Was 145 at the start. Started 1500 calories. Did that for 5-6 months. Down to 120lbs. Then I learned about reverse dieting when I was searching about plateauing. I think when you plateau it’s a good time to reverse. I increased my calories up to 2400 calories and actually lost 3 more lbs. then I was able to cut at a higher calorie. The reason im doing 1200 now is the challenge and she said for me to try that based on my weight and height. I’m like going crazy on that because I like to snack but one more week then I’ll reverse again. I think 1200 calories is fine. Under that I wouldn’t do for a long period of time. But it’s also good later to increase your metabolism and it’s possible:)

    Oh and from the lowest of 1500 calories before, I got down to 110. Also I’m having sugar free jello tonight:p

  • I’m 5’7 and I fluctuate very easily as well. I recently started count calories again, but I’m doing 1300-1400 per day because I’ve had success doing 1500 per day a year ago. It all depends on your TDEE. I just posted a video calorie counting what I ate too!

Do you cut it up and eat with a for or do you fold it like a piece of pizza,or do you tear it up on you plate and pick up the pieces with your hand.   • I’m five foot exact and try to eat 1300 because I’m very active, petite, thin and lift weights and it’s really hard to get that many calories when you’re busy and eating healthy foods. I just eat a lot more protein and veggies and wheat bread and oats for carbs. I will treat on protein bars, fruit or yogurt if I have a mad sweet craving. If I eat more than 1400 I start feeling too full and gain weight.

  • You can get up to eating that if you want to. I was cutting at 1300 calories for 5 months. Went down from 145-120. Started reversing dieting and actually lost 3 lbs going from 1300-2400 calories and I slowly decreased my cardio so I was only doing 5 min a day to warm up for weight lifting. I’m also 5’0 tall so even shorter. The only time I gained weight was when I added calories above that calories which I did to bulk. Then because my macros were so high I was able to start cutting at 2100 calories which was crazy and did start losing weight. I was up to 123 in March from lean bulking and then cut to about 114. Started reverse dieting 2 weeks ago. Up to 1700 from 1500 and lost a lb.

  • Hey a boca burger is 70 calories and 13 g protein if you want to switch up from chicken. I hate eating chicken all the time but beef makes me crazy sluggish. These fill me up and taste amazing.

  • I’m 5ft 8 and eat 1200 calories to loose weight also. My doctor said I could even do 1000. I’m not starving myself. I actually eat a lot more when I’m at 1200 calories because I’m healthy. Not 3 pieces of pizza. I eat a ton of whole food.

  • I’m on my first 1200 calorie diet right now and honestly i’m eating 3 meals now instead of 1 and i’m full all day. I don’t need snacks and if I do a good snack is some fruit and plain yogurt.

  • Thank you for saying this. I am 5 foot 1 and currently have gained about 20 lbs this year. I thought I could eat over 1700 because I exercise, well clearly I gained a ton of weight. WE small people cannot eat 1800++ I’m so tired of having trainers say that we can eat a lot.

  • Protein is primarily carbohydrate!!! The body uses protein for structure (enzymes, cell repair, hair, bones, etc.) but only needs about 30-40 gms/day. All the extra protein that comes from high protein diets are broken down into amino acids, which are converted to GLUCOSE by deamination (-NH2) which combines with water HOH to form ammonia NH3 which is converted, via the Ornathine cycle to Urea which is excreted…. Ergo: proteins are actually, for the most carbohydrates…and are insulinogenic. So high protein (expensive) diets are, metabolically, HC diets.

  • It depends on the person with how many calories they eat. I eat 1700 calories a day and am losing weight at the same height. My frame is way bigger than hers. It really depends on the person and what calories they are eating.

  • I do basically the same thing. I have calorie restriction 5 days a week and eat what I want 2 days a week, not only to rev up my metabolism but also to keep from getting burned out. I tried keto, paleo, and atkins but those are impossible with life’s distractions. Only thing is I drink diet soda(you don’t want to know how much though). I had two choices: either cut soft drinks or cut calories(another reason I couldn’t do the other three diets).

  • I eat 1,200 calories to lose weight as well. I’m 5″2 and anything higher than 1,400 cals I start gaining weight. Unfortunately. Its taken a loonngg time to realize this. I’m vegan so I went through that phase of thinking that vegan calories are “magic” and that I could literally eat 2,300 cals a day and not gain weight. Welllll didn’t exactly work out that way lol.

  • I would love to try this. I am supposed to eat 1200 calories daily while I am not as active in the gym as normal until my knee heals. Everything looks very tasty.

  • I LOVED this video. You nailed it on all of your points. It always comes back to calories in and calories out. I’ve tried everything. I love diet pop and recently starting drinking it again and allow myself that as long as I’m drinking enough water. That really helps me cut back on my calories. Kombucha was giving me really bad heart burn!!

  • I am trying to eat healthy when I am at work but how would I break it down if I wanted to be consuming 1200 calories like you I eat breakfast in the morning then go to work at 6am, at work I have a 10 min break lunch after then another 10 min break before I leave at 2:30 pm the problem is I don’t want to consume all the calories in that time because then I won’t have any for dinner since I hear it will mess u up. Usually I go to the gym after work or after dinner. But of I go after dinner I tend to get slightly hunger. Does anyone have some tips to help me down my road to healthier eating??:)

  • I tend to eat around 800-1300 cals doing one meal a day. Currently eating mostly a vegetarian diet, eating little to no processed foods, & avoiding meat & dairy as much as possible, it’s hard for me to get over 1000 cals. And thank god I’m not the only one who can easily notice weight gain if I eat more than 1800+ cals with a sedentary lifestyle.

  • I’m 5ft 0inches my weight SHOULD be no more than 110lbs. With a sedentary lifestyle that puts me at 1100 cal a day. That said I’ve been eating 1600 and guess what, I’m 160 pounds. Which is considered obese for my height. America really needs to wake up and reevaluate what’s healthy and what’s not. Especially when over 50% of the population is overweight/obese. If you’re on here making comments (she starving herself) with a BMI of over 30 I would suggest you go back and study and reevaluate your life choices. Something like 1/3 of Americans are diabetic or have high blood pressure. That means they need medication to survive their diets!!! Now that I’m educated I’m headed back to healthy.

  • Im also currently on a 1200 calorie diet, to lose weight, and I dont feel like im starving myself. Im 5’5 barely and at 195, im also very sedentary. Next month when I join the gym I will increase my calorie intake.

  • I’m a plant based vegan for many health reasons. And I just statred a 1200 calorie diet because it’s so easy to be a “fat” vegan and I have to loose weight for my job. But I’m actually able to eat almost double what you eat because of how low the calories are in veggies. So I never go hungry just fyi for any fellow vegans out there watching this video.

  • I do about 4000 cals a day of whole food grain free keto. 3100 in fruits, vegs, legumes, etc. 900 in chicken or beef. Im 40 and have never been healthier or stronger.

  • Every body is different… Honestly I don’t need 2000 calories a day. I would never feel hungry. I would say 1000 or less is definitely not good.

  • Completely agree about calorie counting…. they add up so fast if you have too many snacks… I try to save them for my meals and choose lower calorie filling nutrient dense food…. so lots of chicken and tuna… a chicken breast will keep you cooler for longer than a bar of chocolate that’s the same calories.. keep going… I’m 5 foot 2… need 1000 calories to lose weight as I have slow metabolism due to underactive thyroid xx

  • only one issue BDs is that even people eon a non vegan diet have b12 and vit d defiances, yes even meat eaters, also also the vegan diet when not followed really well will lead to all sorts of issues, the standard vegan diet is very very poor for your health with over half coming from processed and packed foods, i’ve been plantbased for 12 years I do not believe it is for everyone, the one size fits all diet approach mentality is total BS, there are quite a few lifestyle that work, not diets, diets don’t work, and all these can work if executed correctly, thanks for an awesome video BDs much love.

  • You MUST try lea and Perrin’s sauce in the shepherd’s pie. One thing I’ve discovered recently which I love is coconut flour! I add it to natural yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast with a few dates and walnuts. Jx

  • I’m doing paleo for the 2nd time & came across ur vid. I’m someone who doesn’t eat a huge amount so watching how much u eat in a day was unreal. I’ve got app 35kg to lose & im trying to snack more & increase my food intake but finding it very difficult. I’ve only had 2 meals today & feel so sick & full. I’ve also had a really achy tummy ache since I started 2 days ago. Didn’t hav this problem last year.

  • This is so good! I count my calories but I only usually hit 1200-1300 cal a day, I’m only 5 ft and when I eat any more calories I always feel bloated and crazy full! I’m happy with my intake! I can’t deal with this “women should eat 2000cal+”, it is all about your own body!!

  • Mediterranean diet, because I’m Italian and it’s the best balanced diet ever. You eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, good carbohydrates and healthy protein, also you get to eat seasonal.

  • The reason you can eat so many grapes and so many fruit leathers is because you aren’t eating enough carbs. Yes the body can run off of ketones, which it isn’t meant to long term, but it thrives off of carbs.

  • Fyi, you should drink green tea 30 mins before you eat because it will help you boost your metabolism and helps your good you will eat as well and 30 minutes after you eat so it will not remove the vitamins you get with from the food you eat…

  • I have genetically high cholesterol so my doctors made me go like half vegan, I can’t have any cow products(milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream), egg yolks, bacon, and can have limited chicken, pork, and seafood. I have been following this pretty strictly and it has made me dive head first into the world of veganism. While some things just aren’t the same, I have found recipies that are very delicious, and have been trying to make myself healthier in general by eating more plant based otherwise as well, for example by eating zucchini noodles over white noodles. Being vegan is actually quite an eye opening experience and it always keeps things interesting. It really gives you an opportunity to be creative with your food.

  • I don’t understand why early man would stop eating plants as they evolved. Wouldn’t it make sense that they would know about plants to eat if they weren’t able to catch an antelope or deer? I can’t believe that they would choose to starve rather than fill in their diet with plants. I believe man did hunt and eat meat. The either/or idea (plants or meat) does not make sense to me. Also you can fill up a lot more people with bread made from grain grown in a big field than a single cow. Economics and population densities seem to indicate early man ate a varied diet.

    Last year after my birthday (Nov), I decided to lose weight. Timbang ko nuon 64kg papuntang obese nako tapos pandak pa ako, para na akong gasul. ��

    May nakapagsabi sa akin na iwas carbs at sugar daw. Tapos kakainin ko lang sa lunch at dinner ay skyflakes at banana lang. Hindi xa madali, mahirap talaga xa kasi maraming temptations. Nagpray lang ako kay God to resists all tempts. Actually nakaya ko xa for a month. Whole december 2018 ginawa ko yun.

    Tpos this January nakita ko tong 1200 calories Filipino version. Sobrang baba pala nang calorie intake ko kasi skyflakes at banana lang. Kaya nagstart akong magtrack ng kinakain ko na instead of skyflakes and banana I add mixed veggies, coffee, chocs, other ulam protein (fish, meat, chicken) anything basta 1200 calories lang xa.

    Alam nyo napakasarap palang pakinggan or may someone na magcomment “uy pumayat ka” “sexy mo na”. Nakakataba ng puso kasi pinaghirapan mo eh. Hardwork really pays off.

    Ngayon from 64kg naging 56kg na ako. Hanggang ngayon ginagawa ko parin to, to reach my goal 50kg.:)

  • 1200 din ako (5’2″) and been calorie counting for 4 years. I started with 160lbs and, slowly but surely, in a year and a half the lowest I got was 113lbs but I’m now maintaining at 118 to 115lbs.

    Sapat na ang 1200 (for me and my height with a sedentary lifestlye), slight lang ang struggle at the beginning pero good thing no restrictions of what kind of food you can eat as long as you keep it within your calorie budget for the day.

    I have to adjust if may event or party and eat less for the other meals for that day para maenjoy ko ang kakainin sa party mamaya.

    The only restriction I did for myself is to stop drinking sodas and little to no rice na din (yung no soda talaga ang nag-jumpstart sa weightloss ko! Give up ko na, it’s unhealthy anyway. Surprisingly, di ko siya na-miss. Hehe)

    The key is to savor your food, chew it well and really enjoy it. Nong una kasi I just inhale the food like no tomorrow kahit na busog na ako. Mindful eating.

  • I’ve been trying to find recipes and ideas to eat the Mediterranean diet, but all I keep finding are these kinds of things that aren’t really the Mediterranean diet. Plus you didn’t include any portion sizes or recipe measurements so it wasn’t helpful at all.

  • Didn’t we evolve because we cooked food we found, like roots and beans that are inedible without cooking? More calories equal to a bigger brain. Meat is protein and fat. Starchy veg are chains of carbs. The brain runs on…… not protein you paleo dum dum, yes it’s sugar, glucose. Too bad his data has no evidence links

  • So it’s mostly about caloric intake not really eating healthy meals…maybe next time try to replace filipino meals with healthier substitute…like instead of white rice eat cauliflower rice. Also too much consumption of sugar and carbs should be monitored daily…this will work when you’re young because of your metabolism but in the long run your body will not. Try yo watch vlogs pf other youtubers about eating clean. I’ve only watched few pinoy vloggers doing that but I’m still hoping to find a eating clean in the PH vids
