  • Wow I guess I’m the exception to the rule, I have been doing intermittent fasting for almost 1 year, I fast for 7 days a week for about 18 to 20 hours of a clean fast, I only consume black coffee and water, and I’ve had no weight lose, no increased energy. I still have brain fog I don’t see any of the benefits that you speak of, any advice or suggestions, and yes I eat pretty healthy too..

  • I’m 18 and my weight is 50kgs my height is 5’3 and my body type is triangle so I want to lose weight up to 5 kgs (45kgs) to look perfect in a shape, I’ve 2 weeks for this so is this gonna help me?

  • Alhumdolillah Thankful to be a part of Islam..we fast for a month (16:8 hour window) every year…benefiting in this world and hereafter

  • Great video, thanks for this info! I just started a week ago fasting, I do 16-6, I started because of inflammation, I have been doing a dirty keto low carb diet for 11 months and have stalled and had a lot of inflammation, this has helped a great deal!

  • I am doing intermittent fasting for 17 days now and I loss weight about 10 lbs and I feel my stomach getting flatter. Then I couldn’t eat too much because my belly easily full. I do 18/6 protocols like what I did last 2004 for a year. When my vitiligo subsided and I did re-pigmented but when I stop and didn’t do anything for 5 years then my vitiligo did come back again.

  • Thank you both for being so specific I got to this video by reading an article from my online class and I was unsure what it meant by 16/8 which was recommended for starters, watching this video helped me understand it.

  • Hi, have you considered this kind of diet plan called the Custokebon Secrets? My cousin says it helps people lost lots of weight. Is that possible? I also read a lot of excellent review relating to this diet plan. Thoughts?

  • I had started few months back and lost around 5 kgs and after that I haven’t either gained either lost.that is kinda bummer for me which just demotivates.why is it like that?i will start from tomorrow again.ps I have pcos and thus its much harder for me to lose weight which I really want to.god bless me.

  • They said that IF can promote insulin resistance, but actually the opposite is the case-insulin resistance occurs when you eat lots of carbs and sugary foods.

  • You can drink sparkling water (without sugar) during the fasting period too. That will help keep you full as well. More so than normal water.

  • What would be the best fasting window for me? I get up at 7pm and work 9:30-5pm. I get home at 7pm and usually have dinner 7:30pm. Go to bed 10pm. Could you help me with a plan? What would be my eating window? I can’t eat at my desk

  • Do this instead of Keto. I did keto and quickly lost about 20 lbs. At one point I fasted and lost 10 lbs. Here’s the difference…

Fasting: “Damn I haven’t eaten since 8 yesterday. Ah well I’ll eat again at 12.”

Keto: *Eats a steak, eggs, bacon, leafy greens, a whole Elephant… “I just want a box of donuts so bad!”

Fasting is slower results that won’t drive you insane. Keto will make your body go to war with your mind.

  • Just subscribed! Great video, thank you! I have always had a very unhealthy relationship with food and have decided to make healing my gut my main priority! I will be trying intermittent fasting and am excited to see the results.

  • Doing intermitted fast for a year now and went from 160 to 133! I feel amazing and my body looks so great like when I was in highschool. Boobs shrunk tho

  • Don’t skip lunch. Either skip breakfast or dinner. Because you need to eat two consecutive meals within a period of 8 hours. if you skip lunch you end up with more than 8 hours: e.g. breakfast at 8 am and dinner at 6 pm (10 hours apart). This shortens your fasting window, which is not what you want.

That girl with the cherries lol.

  • Really great to hear from a scientist. I know from personal experience I have lost weight fasting and feel more mental clarity. Can we get a large scale study on the effects of fasting or will big pharma not allow it?

  • I have sjogrens so Ive been definitely trying to find more ways to manage my symptoms. My eyes are chronically dry.. as well as my mouth and other areas. Its terrible. Im trying to lose weight as well.

  • but who knows who to believe.
Pwho knows who to believe/next year there maybe another theory/this man like al others doesnt know it alll however well meaning he is.

  • I’m doing this method.. and this is my record

    19/5 ( 00:04) 99kg 18:6 below 1200kcal

    23/5 ( 23:52) 97kg
    24/5 ( 11:14) 97kg omad below1500kcal
    25/5 ( 00:51) 96.6kg

  • Subhanallah, and Islam has recommended us to fast two times a week and our prophet forbid us to eat meat out of 2 days of the week.

  • i have been 16:8 IF for last one month, but i feel too hungry during fasting time and crave food..how can i deal with that…though i keep drinking water for hydration. Kindly guide!

  • Tell that to my mom..
She thinks I’m gonna die if I don’t eat breakfast.. because of the myth “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”

  • Everyone talks about getting clarity from intermittent fasting but that hasn’t happened for me, I just get a headache. How exactly do I get into that state of hyper clarity without a headache?

  • I have a question if I do a 16/8 at a certain time one day can I change the time for a second or third day if I can’t make the same every day it will still be a 16/8 but it that ok to change hours on different days?

  • My window for eating is only 2 hours. I fast for 22 hours every day. I have been doing this for over 2 years. I lost 20 pounds and at a stable weight. When I break my fast I don’t feel that hungry. Last night my husband and I went to a movie with a bunch of friends. Afterward we all went out to eat. It was 8 pm, and everyone ordered large plates of food. My husband and I ordered an appetizer and shared with the group, but didn’t eat anything. At 8 pm I certainly don’t feel hungry. Sometimes it can be hard to socialize, because people do it around food.

  • U dont need ketosis though. U can lose weight without it. Its called a CALORIE DEFECIT!

your body runs on glucose. Ur brain needs glucose. Using fat for energy is not ideal. Its just a substitute for glucose i.e if no glucose is available then ur body can turn to fat

In this day and age there is no need for ketosis. Most people hav a fridge in their house full of food and there are supermarkets on every corner. Food is readily available to us. Ketosis may have been useful bak in the day when sometimes we had to go hours or even days without food. But we are no longer in the caveman era!

And by the way fasting also damages the metabolism

  • This was basically my student life. I didn’t drink alcohol or energy drinks either (saved me a bunch of money too). It was pretty much jungle survival training.

  • The absolute best thing about intermittent fasting is how freaking EASY it is. No seriously this makes weight loss borderline childs play. Literally all you have to do is just not eat for 16 hours. Look, human body CAN operate without being constantly fed food for a long periods of time and this has been true for generations. If our ancestors could not only stay alive, but kept their high levels of health without consuming any food but water for even up to an entire week in some cases and survive then you honestly can do 16 hours per dey especially when you also realize that 8 of those 16 hours you’ll spend in bed sleeping.

  • This really helped! Looking to get started but I wanna make sure when it’s time to eat, I’m eating the right food. I see you guys mentioned a green smoothie to break the fasting when it’s time to eat. What are some other healthy foods that are ok to intake at the fasting stage. I heard like a chicken salad is a no no. Lol help me please!

  • Lord, my eyes are so dry. I stopped fasting, gained a whole bunch of weight and my fibromyalgia flares are back. Because of all this physical pain, I came to remind myself why I started fasting in the first place thank you.

  • I’m doing onw where I don’t eat from 4pm till 5am (I have school and need fuel) but I started last week and I’m pretty sure I’m seeing less bloating!! I could just be me thinking I’ve changed but after you get past the first few days its not that bad! I just drink water when I get hungry!!

  • My right eye has a little siesta type thing in the corner of my eye it’s been there 6 years it finally pop but still I feel a little tiny ball and when I wake up in mornings I sometimes I have to open my eye lid with my finger I’ve been fasting 18 to 24 hour fasting every day for 3 months 6 I started this for health and weight loss I’ve lost 22 pounds I was 1 point away from DIABETES that’s gone but my eye kinda feels like there something in it at night so today I’m fasting longer to hopefully heal this any thoughts THANK you for your video LV.CIDDD

  • I have rosacea and whenever I do intermittent fasting it goes away but when I stop it comes back. I also tried out takin acv and hcl but it doesn’t really work. So do you have any suggestions on what I could try out to support this effect intermittent fasting has on my stomach?

  • Started doing keto with I.F. back in August. weighted 188lbs at 5’1. started with a 18/6 cycle with 2 main meals and a few nut snacks. now I’ve gotten to the point where i do 20/4 and only have an appetite for 1 moderate sized meal and a few tablespoons of natural peanut butter(no sugars added. need to mix it to combine the separated oils. $2 jar from kroger works just fine) or almonds to snack on. A few times a week now i also do OMAD if i eat a bit later in the day. have dropped to 145lbs with a goal of 140 by thanksgiving, 130 by christmas.

  • If I eat my last meal @ 6:30pm I wake up at 1am hungry!!!!! I’m a type 2 diabetic so fasting is great at lowering blood sugar..
maybe I should eat more carbs in my last meal to hold me over even though the carbs will spike my blood sugar.
Anyway, 12 to 14 hrs is my limit right now. I’ve done 16 hrs but barley made it.

  • hello doc, i am 45, working woman, started Intm fasting from this month begininng. I did not loose a kilo so far. Also i want to know what if on some days we break the fast after 15hours or 14 hours instead of 16 hours?? how does it affect us? i eat my dinner by 6.30 pm and next day i eat at 10.30 am. Kindly suggest.

  • I usually break my fast at night. How many hours should I wait before going to bed? Does it provide the same benefits compared to breaking fast in the daytime? Thanks in advance!

  • Can you eat breakfast but not dinner? That’s how I’m doing, because, even if I do eat in the evening, I’m still hungry as hell in the morning, and I get migraines if I’m not eating. But I don’t have much appetite in the evening, so it’s easier for me to fast then. Still, I fast 16 hours.

  • I’ve been doing OMAD 1 meal a day for about 1 year now and I feel amazing. I lost 35 lbs and My Rheumatoid Arthritis symptoms are 95 Percent better. I’m only on a couple of supplements and no prescription meds. I love fasting!!!! Best thing I could have ever done for my life

  • Boy, IF has really worked for me-lost 5 pounds so far…I drink two cups of coffee in a.m., with a splash of milk and erythritol for sweetness-gets me through. I don’t eat until 3-4 pm., then eat until 7 p.m. No more cravings, snacking etc…no more thinking about food all the time. It’s great! Ya!

  • I fast for Ramadan, which entails us usually fasting with no water or food for 16 hours and tbh not only do I lean out because I don’t over indulge when I break my fast but also I have a substantial amount of energy when the 14th hour hits and I have some of my best lifts

And I have been really used to this diet, feeling really comfortable with it, and love it a lot. Recently, I heard from someone that not having breakfast will lower your metabolism, and it’s very bad for your health. I want to ask that does breakfast really matter? Should we have breakfast to stay healthy? Can I keep not having breakfast?

  • I’m all for fasting as I do 16:8 regularly which basically just pushes breakfast out a couple hours. But what point do these long fasts and OMAD become an eating disorder?

  • I lost 20lbs in 3 months doing IF and low carb ( not keto). It’s not as easy as it sounds you get pretty hungry. I just drank coffeewhich helped a lot. But I would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to lose weight.

  • You see intermittent everywhere now. Why can’t people stop being pussies and do 3 day fasts, 7 and even 30 day fasts. No in between shit.

  • Jason Fung is all you need to know… I fasted many times including everyday I only eat one meal a day now but I went for 30 days more than once it’s fine it’s easy everyone should do it read about autophagy, how your body kills cancers and eats senescent cells when you fast. And read Dr.Jason Fung’s books and watch his videos here on youtube

  • I think there is an error in the video at 7:20 where he says it promotes insulin resistance. I think he meant to say it prevents insulin resistance.

  • And then he said it promotes insuline resistance. Which is totally wrong. It promotes insulin sensitivity, and decreases insulin resistance….

  • One question and it might be dumb to ask but does it help with non-alcoholic fatty liver if i do a water fast for a certain period of time?

  • I am a 17yr old and I fast from sunrise till sunset(the way of fasting practiced by Muslims) no food no water. I feel good while fasting. Before the morning prayer eat properly and healthy not overeat and drink water. Break my fast at sunset with dates and water. Eat some fruit then pray and afterwards eat dinner now also not to over eat. It seems pretty hard but it is easy. In the beginning you’ll feel a bit less energetic but afterwards it’s all good. It can backfire if one doesn’t eat properly. I had previously increased my weight after Ramadan because of unhealthy food habits. Like fasting one whole month but still increase weight. So anyone trying to fast be careful and eat properly and enough.

So I’ve been very depressed and bedridden for 4 months and then the fall might of hurt my hip and pelvic mri shows it nothing was broken in the pelvic and hip joints I still have tons of pain that area. And the bone doctor said I may have some arthritis in my pelvic and hip bones How can intermittent fasting help me if possible?

  • No one realised he said you’d he fasting for 14-16 hours, and the remaining 6-8h you can eat… but the day has 24h. There are two hours missing. I dont know what to do in that time

  • Having an 8hr eating window each day is barely fasting. Half of the 16 is probably sleeping. The other 8 esp if in the evening most people are plonked on their arse. A proper fast should be 20hrs minimum imo.

  • At 2.25, a very wrong concept mentioned in the video, you said IF “promotes insulin resistance “, that essentially means it causes Type 2 Diabetes. Because Insulin resistance leads to Diabetes. Kindly correct.

  • So from the start of the quarantine I have been doing the 20:4 and I have lost a good amount of weight but my mom acts like I’m developing an ED, I don’t feel like my mindset is that of a person with ED I don’t neglect food I just choose the “right” time but anyway I have heard this many times from my mom and I just keep wondering, do I really have a problem?:(
My dad is ok with it but my mom acts like if I don’t eat 2-3 meals I have a problem

  • In India, we are practicing it for millennia. It is really NOT new research by any means. It is just what is called an “empirical verification” of already existing knowledge and a widely practiced methodology.

  • I jogged half a mile a day and in 6 months I was 8 miles a day.. I was 260 pounds at the end I was 180.. I then fell and tore my knee open then when I healed I fell in the floor knee straight down in a false alarm active shooter situation at work… now I’m 241.. so I’m doing this and running and let’s see if I can shorten 6 months into 4 lol

  • I am 45 years old and I have been fasting since I was a kid. I fast all night and break the fast in the morning thats why I have been calling my first meal breakfast…

  • I proud that I m muslim because in the quran every thing explains already which is beneficial for human being now days ramzan kareem start very spiritual month doing fasting is the best way to narish your body brain
Islam is the only religion of God

  • You didn’t mention fasting is practiced by muslims during ramadhan.. Fasting was thought to muslims long time ago.

    Ramadhan mubarak

  • Wow, now I am fasting from 4.15am to 5.30 pm everyday for a month (due to my religion, fasting is must in Ramadhan), always losing weight in Ramadhan but when the Ramadhan is over and we not fasting anymore, well the weight came back aaarghh..

  • Been on 18:6 fasting and today I was surprised by walking almost 21,000 steps, about 10 miles, over 2 hours, and burned 830 calories according to my Zero and Samsung Health Apps. I didn’t know I had all that energy, so I guess all those fats stored in my liver helped me.

  • I have lost over 50 lbs using Intermittent fasting
You don’t have to go Keto for optimum health.
IF allows much more flexibility in your diet, and with that you will use fasting longer and see better results.
Keto is not for everybody. Intermittent Fasting is something anybody can do to dramatically improve health

  • Today I waa having a very hearty and warm conversation in the living room with whom i thought was my brother.

Upon directing my view towards my left, it was actually my dog. This ketone shit is real fam.

  • Allah (saw) has already set this process know as ramzan or Ramadan 1400 years ago and made it compulsory for every Muslim and we r understanding its benefits now… stay home stay safe…

  • My name is Red. I am 5’6 and 230 lbs. It’s April 15 2020. I’ll come back in early July to comment how much I loss from intermittent fasting and healthy life habits. Wish me luck ☺

  • With that thumbnail your video title should be related to what HGH and TRT do for your body. Pretty sure a fast won’t get to that result.

  • I cycle around 150 miles a week, I race so train fairly hard. Will intermittent fasting affect my energy levels regarding an active lifestyle?

  • I’ve been doing 18:6 and I’ve lost 1.5 stone in 2 months!! (without eating healthy and just regular exercise) I’ve had weeks where I’ve gone really off w my fasting but videos like this push me to get back on track!! Plan on losing 1/2 a stone more by December! Let’s goooo

  • It’s not fasting that makes people lose fat, it’s a calorie deficit (eating less calories than you burn).Having a smaller eating window makes it easier to stay in a calorie deficit but if you fast yet eat more than you burn, you won’t lose fat. If you eat more calories than you burn off you will store that excess energy in your body as either water, glycogen or fat (you’ll gain weight). Don’t be fooled people.

  • Could hormones affect the weight loss. I usually fast until around 2pm until 8pm. I have been doing this for a while…four months. No weight loss. What am i doing wrong? I eat well, sometimes i have junk food but always stick to the fasting

  • Basically what she is saying is that your body is basically starting to eat itself. You’re body is basically eating it’s own body for energy. When the fat is gone, you’re dead. Chubby people, I figure, got a few extra days to spare in time of famine. This is a survival mechanism your body is using to live. Yet, we call it a ‘healthy’ diet. It’s called a Paleo diet from the paleolithic times. Man was basically still wild (think Jane & Tarzan) during this time and ate when he/she could. And probably had to go without for days at a time. This is 20,000 years ago and today we deliberately put ourselves back into this state and call it the Paleo diet? Seems strange. You’re body starts producing this ‘ketosis’ (as the narrator calls it) in order to give you a ‘spike’ of energy. It’s not really stable energy it’s more of the body’s flight or fight response telling you you need to find food soon.

  • Started IF 3 weeks ago at 195lbs with my feeding window at 5hrs. Now 12/12 at 180lbs I haven’t felt this great in years. It works when done right.

  • Intermittent fasting is better than keto diet because you can eat whatever you want. No cravings, no more restrictions, no more fatty/high protein foods only. It’s the good life, and so much easier to maintain long term.

  • You know what also increases brain derived neurotrophic factor? Exercise. Your brain runs primarily on glucose. How effective do you think it is to deprive the most important organ in your body one of its most valuable sources of fuel?

  • Is modern medicine lacking? Why in the last 5 years has this started to be a popular way to eat. Dietician’s are poorly trained and behind on the science.

  • I have been doing a 16/8 intermittent fasting for about 3 months now. My question is how often/long should one do intermittent fasting.

  • I used to eat like this until I was told to eat every 2 hours and I ended up gaining craps loads of weight, back to my way of doing things like this.

  • I’m not sure if I’m just fasting for 23h or I’m doing OMAD, I usually have my meal at 3pm and stop eating at 4 so basically a 1 hour window but I have my meal and then I snack like I eat some chocolate but I do count my calories so that It won’t exceed 1200, what I want to know is can I still lose weight while doing that? or I should not eat sugar at all? and have just ONE meal? a “healthy” one?

  • I used to always eat breakfast every morning because I thought it was ‘the most important meal of the day’.
Now, I never eat before noon (unless I’m on vacation or it’s a special occasion). I wake up feeling light and full of energy. It’s amazing. And on rare occasions when I do eat breakfast, I feel bloated and sluggish all day. Feet feel heavy and everything. Unless you have a medical issue that requires you to eat in the morning, I recommend IF. It completely changed my life. I tried soooo hard to lose weight for so long and just could not do it. Once I got into this Only eating from noon-8 pm routine, I dropped 15-20 pounds so quickly.
Basically, what I’m trying to say is, Breakfast is extremely overrated.

  • I’ve limped around all summer with plantar fasciitis. I have tried
fasting 24 hours, and it did not help. I fasted 48 hours, and it feels
70% better. If I had only tried that months ago!! I’m going to fast 48
hours again in a week or so. If you are in pain, give a longer fast a
    try.

  • I fast almost everyday like 20-23 hours. And when I eat, I try to eat healthy. But there are (sometimes) cravings for burger. Keto and fasting makes it easier to go back to eating healthy every time though.

  • The prophet Mohammad SAW gave us this message already. Muslims fast for 30 days during Ramadan every year. It was a message directly from Allah as a gift to all of mankind.

  • Kudos for the Video! Apologies for chiming in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you heard about Dinanlinson Amazing Look Approach (should be on google have a look)? It is an awesome one off guide for learning how to quickly lose weight minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my best friend Jordan got great success with it.

  • Been doing the fasting for around a year and I feel awesome. first I lost a little bit of muscle but then it stopped and I started loosing Fat <3

  • With intermittent fasting is something you’re supposed to do everyday to feel the benefits or a few times a week? I’ve always heard that if you don’t eat breakfast within the first hour of being awake your body holds onto fat. Any advice?

  • I been doing 18-21 hours fast for over 1.5 years, average it 25 fasts per month, being a Muslim that does Ramadan fasting also, I found my energy and living functions has been much better compared to when I not fasted in the past, in the gym I’m training much better, getting better muscle form and tone, sleep is deeper, I can go on n on but I feel I eat more ‘ethically’(less gluttonous) we forget that all fast food and junk food industries want you to eat excessive amount of sugar and junk everyday so destroy your body and mind and further more be fed into the pharmaceutical industry that’ll give poisonous ointment to make you ‘better’, eat healthy! Live healthy! just remember one old thing, YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

  • THE WRONG THING IN THIS STUDY IS NOT THE ACTIVITY OF FASTING BUT THE ACTIVITY OF “EATING” MUSLIMS DO FAST YEARLY FOR A MONTH BUT WE ARE NOT ADVISED TO EAT TOO MUCH WHEN FASTING BREAKS, ONLY THAT MOST PEOPLE’S BEHAVIOR IS TO EAT MORE WHICH IS WRONG, WE SHOULD EAT LESS EVEN THE FASTING BREAKS TO CONTROL OBESITY, HYPERTENSION AND OTHER AILMENTS WE HAVE.

  • I’ve been doing the 16/8 now (in my 3rd week)and have lost 8 lbs. The key is also getting sufficient rest and exercise and eating normal portions of food, steer clear of sugary foods. I have my one night to Indulge which is Sunday. This method works best for me because I have tried so many different ways and I have always found myself back into eating poorly and regaining that weight again. Down over 11 lbs in less than a month as of today.

  • Makes sense. Most people today are obese and are diabetic. This becomes an underlying condition when confronting COVID 19. Just saying.

  • I’ve been doing a 16 to 19 hour daily fast since September, 2019. In addition to positive results mentioned in the video I experience a dramatic uptick in energy during morning hours that continues until I eat (usually between 11 am and 2 pm). This may be due to caffeine (I drink black coffee half-caff in the morning, switch to full-caff after I eat then decaf around 3-4 pm). It is a very good feeling feeling. Interestingly, my body now interprets hunger in a not unpleasant way it is something I look forward to. I think you have to experience it directly to understand. I encourage anyone who wants to try this out to do so and see if it works for you!

  • Hindus,Ayurveda,Yoga has been talking about this for thousands of years.. Even today most of Yogis follow this diet of eating ONCE in a day.. But today western scientists are giving it Fancy names.. Anyways Good for them!!!

  • I’m 20 hours into my fast right now and I love this way of eating! It helps me maintain my big weight loss, I enjoy eating larger meals, but not going over in my calories and I feel amazing. So happy to see IF going mainstream.

  • Intermittent fasting when you are not in ketosis would be a disaster – it would set off sugar cravings and intense hunger. Running your body/self on glucose requires many refills all day long. Running on ketones? When you don’t eat for 16-20 hours out of 24, you access stored fat instead of dietary fat, and you don’t get hungry nor have sugar cravings.

  • Muslims fast like this. And like they mentioned young children, the elderly, the sick and the the pregnant/breastfeeding mothers are exempted from fasting. ❤️

  • I have a question. Most of us who live in Alaska are naturally lower in Vitamin D. How can this fasting effect that? Cause having your body low on Vitamin D can cause all kinds of issues (I recently found out anyway lol)
I’m low on Vitamin D, my wife is low in Vit. D and high cholesterol.
Oh any my oldest daughter is very low in iron.
This fasting looks great, how will this effect our bodies being low in these vitamins??

  • When you are doing intermittent fasting, what beverages do you recommend? I am able to do intermittent fasting every day from 6pm to 1pm but I do have 2 cups of weak coffee with soy milk. Does this break the fast?

  • Why does it feel like I’ve lost only 1-2 kgs/2-4 pounds of weight in 28 days almost a month while every one is loosing so much weight?
I also don’t eat much junk foods, no sugar at all and do Chloe ting workout.

  • You can definitely eat anything you want when fasting as long as it’s under a certain number of calories that’s why it is easy to do

  • Muslims fast every year for one whole moth in Islamic month of Ramadan. It started today April 24/20. It is not difficult to do if u r doing it to please the creator on his command. It’s the way of life for Muslims across the globe.

  • I started last year and it has completely changed my life. Even if I didn’t lose weight on it, all the health benefits I have gotten is more than enough for me. I fast everyday and it’s so easy for me and is part of my life.

  • Thank you! Very informative…
    from beginning to end.
Awhile back when staying with a friend, I recall eating three meals a day as my friend ate as well. It soon became overwhelming to, not only my body, but to my mind, and, in turn, vexing my spirit. I soon cut back on my food intake and immediately felt much better for it!
Thank you for all of the knowledge You’re sharing, Dr. Mattson. You’re appreciated!

  • Was waiting and waiting… finally they discuss Valter Longo right at the end! It would have been great to bring this up earlier and get more thoughts on it. I think Dom could have injected a bit more content himself; bummer it was conducted in the wee hours of the morning. Great talk, thanks.

  • fasting induces autophagy, the oxidation of “junk proteins”… and “junk mtDNA” it is like a spring cleaning where you take all your excess stuff to Goodwill or to the recycling center.
