  • I realize this is an old video, but it is just now popping up for me.  I guess I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to track my cardio. That might be my game changer!   • This is a great reminder. I do it all. I just made 40 almond/flax/sea salt crackers. 10 crackers was 17 gm fat. I ate 30 crackers with homemade guacamole using one avocado. One avocado is 21gm fat. That was my first meal today at 12 noon. It was 65 gm fat. Whoa!!! I never count fat. I count carbs. Tonight for dinner, I probably should count my fat so I don’t go over to gain weight. Thanks for the heads up.

  • the biggest problem for me is fruit… its summer and i refrained from almost all fruit (except I had bit cantaloupe few times) i think once i reach my goal (i only gained weight this last couple years) i will continue w keto but will incorporate fruit more in future

  • I have said this in other videos but you two have truly become my favorite “keto-go-tos’”—it’s practical and not only about weight loss. Keto for me, is about a better quality of life. Not just body image and as important as that is for me, think that how you feel about your body will reflect, partly, in how well your body responds. There is a mental aspect to this as well and setting both long and short term goals definitely helps. I personally stopped tracking my macros due to food issues I have had in the past and am pretty dialed in to what my body needs in terms of macros…..but dialing in to the mental and emotional factors is key for some of us.   • The diet is working no doubt, but yes everything has its pros and cons. Losing the weight at this rapid rate isn’t good for health. Cumin and cinnamon has its pros and cons, for me it reduced my blood pressure really low and I had to stop taking these drinks with immediate effect.
    Being a doctor herself,she was supposed to tell these things as a disclaimer but she didn’t. Good luck with whosoever trying these diets but these shortcuts are not good for long run.
    People having BP issues should avoid this diet as much as possible.

  • Ironically I had my physical on the first of this year. Weight 240. 2 weeks into keto, I feel good and weight 225 the lowest I’ve been in about 6 years

  • When it comes to eating healthy, you have to never fall victim to modern day fad diet plans. Extreme diet plans are a threat for your health, especially ones that seriously limit your everyday nutritional intake. While they might induce fast weight loss, these diet plans are never a long-term answer for your weight problem. You should look up Fenoboci Diet Plan on google since it is not just another fad diet where you starve yourself.

  • I was obese while pregnant (still am) but I do now have a greater purpose in life after having my son! He just turned one and I started trying to lose weight in the beginning of the year. I’ve almost lost 30 lbs (have about 90 to lose) but being a mother just wants me to be a better person overall inside and out! I am holding onto old clothes and you’ve helped me realized that I should probably donate most of them. Love your realness in this!

  • I’m morbidly obese. I started, in March 2019, at 450 pounds. It’s been nearly 6 months and I’ve lost a total of 83. 4 pounds. My question is this, in the first three months I lost 51.2 pounds (without ANY exercise) but in the last 2.5 months, I’ve only lost 32.2 pounds (with vigorous exercise). I was averaging 5-6.5 pounds lost per week to only 1-2 pounds. I’ve maintained a caloric deficit and a daily net carb average of under 25 carbs. The harder I try the less I lose per week.

  • Slightly disagree on the workout bit. My workouts burn 600 kcal minimum (combination of weights and cardio). If I didn’t factor that in, I’d become nutrient deprived very soon. Not only is my current maximum caloric intake only 1500 kcal, I had a sleeve/duodenal switch 15 years ago, which comes with some considerate malabsorption (particularly fat and protein).

    In other words: be careful telling people not to compensate for calories they burned working out. I completely agree when it’s 100 or 200; that isn’t going to cause major issues in most people. But when it’s over 400, I think anyone should take note of that, especially if they have additional issues. Remember: working out is an appetite suppressor in and of itself, so it’ll be difficult enough to get those macros when you don’t eat extra.Today, I’m at approximately half of my allowed intake with the day quickly drawing to an end, and I’m stuffed to the gills.

  • I’ve recently been interested in trying out keto as a vegan. I’m fairly low carb already and don’t eat sugar anymore due to a lot of health problems, but I’m quite curious on how doing a vegan-keto diet would affect me. Might have to do a little experiment! Loved your tips and I think they pretty much apply to any diet! No such thing as a magic pill. The habit I’m currently breaking myself of is eating while cooking or standing.   • Ahrg! I’ve think I’ve been very true to myself, weighing and measuring everything. I pre plan my meals to hit my macro ratio. I’ve keep my net carbs under 20 grams and have never exceded 40 total carbs. I’ve recalculate my caloric deficit and reduced it. Did 3 day egg fast. Increased water intake. Did IF. Got new batteries for scale. SCALE WON’T BUDGE. I’m at 4 weeks.

  • I gained 45lbs with my twins and lost it all by 2 weeks postpartum but then gained 10 lbs back after I stopped breastfeeding. Then lost it by 4 months postpartum. Personally, I didn’t do anything, it just came off on its own.
