  • Thank you for posting this! I recently had a narly sports injury and have struggled to lose weight without working out! So helpful:)

  • My body is Endomorph type and I am doing exercises 5 days a week just except Friday I am resting, but still no special changes in my body. can u give me some suggestion on it.

  • I’m either ecto-meso or endo-meso

    Wait so…..I’m 13, 5’2 or 5’1 maybe?
I have high metabolism i think? I once climbed a mountain
I dont exercise now but i walk for 30 mins in the evening
And since im the asian ish side i eat rice twice a day one for breakfast and one for dinner
I was 48kgs last week or sumn then i started sleeping late and eating lots i checked my weight and it was 49.6 kgs i dont think i gained much tho

Oh and i dont understand some of her words like the words she uses so please explain to me in baby language about the whole “500-700 calories less that total calorie expenditure” thing

  • Wow I started reading the comments and it really amazes me how many people think it’s acceptable to tell you how they prefer you look. From the color of your skin; to you brows and face shape ; not to mention how to record your videos. I am sorry to see people treating you like this, thank you for this video. Your videos have been so helpful

  • I find that focusing on a mind muscle connection in my glutes helps my strength in the squat and deadlift. Also helps with any compound pulling movement. As far as bench and any upper body push movement is concerned, there is no difference.

    My two cents.

  • Rachel, no hate at all but I did go back to your videos from only 2 months ago and your face and body seemed so much slimmer! I don’t know if its the excessive makeup, short hair, tan, or tight clothing in this video but there is a big difference. Did you start eating carbs again? Again not trying to troll simply wondering if you did completely go off keto or if it is your pcos

  • All my endomorphs out there you are beautiful I know you wanna be a different body type to be skinny and “pretty” but you’re already pretty if you really want this go ahead but know if you don’t love yourself first you won’t have the motivation to do anything:)

  • Thank you so very much for this information. Can I ask do you have any tips for someone who might have ruined their metabolism by yo yo dieting or just dieting so much?

  • Thanks for the video Rachel!
I’d love to see a video from you all about healthy snack options (easy snacks to take to work).
    Much love!

  • “Only consume starchy foods after exercising.”
Me who always do workouts during evenings and is already done with eating: well, I’m fucked

  • I’m between ecto and mesomorph. I’ve always been tall and thin however it’s not hard to maintain my weight. I always stay in the 120’s

  • I searched for “How to lose with simple exercises”️
Later “How to lose through water diet”
Finally ended up with “How to lose weight without exercises or diet”

  • Everyone is obsessed with dehydration. Look into EAH. I know; it doesn’t seem applicable to body builders, but I sweat all day long working and then train. Drinking too much can be fatal and noone ever says it. https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/51/4/409.1

  • Endomorph here, full time mum, not easy to fine time to exercises…but will try my best, if posible share endurance exercises for homework beginners please. And please help with how to break a plateau.

  • My mates in work have tested also this kind of fat loss program and also were able to trim over 13lbs. Lots of people said to me to look into it also. The moment I really started off following it the excess weight just decreased 15 pounds. Google can help you to research it. weight’s name is below.
    Bella Kaγozko
    good luck

  • Joanna…is it good to just do cardio for 45 minutes a day. As in running on the treadmill. Will this help in getting rid of belly fat.

  • I didn’t realize you follow the “eat frequently” method, I’d be interested to know what you have to say on intermittent fasting. I’ve been trying it for the past few weeks after spending a lot of time researching the science of it and to me it seems like it almost makes the “eat frequently” point a little redundant? Each to their own and I 100% believe both work and that people need to experiment and find what works for their lifestyle and preferences because that’s a HUGELY significant factor, but I’d like to know your take on it, either by experience or the science behind it.

  • What about those of us that are a combination, my legs and arms are long and lanky but I have lots of belly and back fat. In my 20’s I had a models body type, now I look pregnant in my 50’s with the same long skinny legs.

  • I believe men’s hormones also oscillate throughout the month based on the women’s cycle. Just something I’ve noticed. If I’m ovulating my husband testosterone seems higher because his face becomes more masculine, and it’s the opposite on my period. It’s very interesting.

  • Correction not having great genetics requires you to train less not more due to weak recovery ability. As a natty hardgainer I train with weights once every 7-10 days, training “day-in day-out” would kill progress immediately.

  • You want to be in a good shape and be healthy. So, you tried many things such as studying, exercising, seeking for advice, getting a job like you do, dating with fit people etc. Your treasure is meant to disappear sooner even though I disagree.

  • Very glad you’re critical about the virus. As should everyone else. Especially when the statistics lead to diabetic/obese people being 42% more likely to be hospitalized.

  • I live in South Africa. We are blessed with a lot of good quality fresh produce in our supermarkets. But I have noticed the readymade meal aisles have trebled in the last 20 years and the fresh produce shelf space has shrunk. I have always enjoyed cooking meals from scratch for easy and optimal digestion. A healthy digestive system => healthy metabolism => ideal body weight

  • Squeeky clean keto (70-75/ 5/20-25) & IF -115lbs down n maintaining. S A D is crazy to me now..cant believe how far weve gotten away from healthy in n.america

  • I think your opening statement about energy balance people is a bit of a straw man. All the things you mention feed into CI/CO model. They affect one or the other.

  • Eating breakfast has a lot of benefits. If you don’t feed your body well, maintaining your life consistently should be challenging.

  • In US Navy had three meals a day. No snacks. Weight was steady. Got out and married. Got Dad Bod. Now keto only eat when hungry. Three meals max. Weigjt dropping. Time restricted eating works!

  • Myth myth myth mythology whatever people where drinking milk ages ago they live longer than us,they felt stronger than we are damn! What must we eat another youtuber sounding smart mmmhh be logic also ma friend.

  • I’m always bloated! I don’t seem to find the right diet for my problem. I do Yoga and meditate every morning to distress but I don’t have time for exercising! HELP! Love u! Looking beautiful as always

  • I’m combo of endo and mezomorf. You can’t change that, cause it is due to and the structure of the skeleton, shape of the skull etc. I will never have V-shape back as others, cause of my pelvis and hip width, which can’t be changed

  • I’m 76 years old and I’ve tried many different kinds of diets but have found it as soon as I get off of that process I gained the weight back. I started 5 years ago eating much less, I eat everything I’ve always eaten but reduce the intake by at least half and now I’m 50 pounds lighter enable to maintain my weight.

  • Positive Thinker… Was Dr Robert A Schuler Ministry… Crystal Cathedral… He had a weekly recorded church service known as The Hour of Power.

  • Interesting outlook in terms of relegating food to just energy.

Since going mostly carnivorous keto (ocassionally ill have some strawberries or a small amount of onion and no added sugar tomato puree to make some home made bolegnese) I see food purely as energy. I simply eat meat until I’m full, and I view it from the perspective of health rather than taste, hence why I eat more eggs than usual and why I choose beef, lamb, venison and fish over pork and chicken Not that I dont eat those just a lot less than I would if I didn’t view food through a lens of nutrition and energy.

  • Mike, you may lose followers and clients for speaking the truth, but you have provided many people with evidence to make their own decisions. You’re not fear mongering, but rather trying to allow deeper sense-making in the domain of nutrition and health. Keep going

  • Portion size works for me. I love food and am a small frame, I put on 10 lb. and now I look pregnant. I’m 49. I used to go for walks at night with my daughter. I am now in a new relationship and go from sitting at work driving to my boyfriend’s house, nap maybe, then go to eat out. But I like getting out. Maybe it can change but I don’t want it to right now.

  • I was subscribed because you really provide great content, but i really respect and admire you now for not taking the political road and going along with the program of lieing to people about Corona Virus. Thank you for keeping it real.

  • My parents always force me to eat. Even when i tell them that im not hungry… I was exercising every night secretly because if my parents know about it, they would be angrythey always says that im not fat, but i know they are lying… Im 169 cm high and i have 66,7kg…my weight it as if it is at the swing. Once its 62,2 once 66….im tired of it. Do you think that vomiting will help me?

  • Great tips! If you want to burn belly fat without a lot of effort, you have to try this.

It’s a research-backed system that’s been proven to be 30x more effective than dieting or exercise for burning fat.

Now you can achieve lifelong body fat reduction WITHOUT dieting or depriving yourself of your favorite foods.

    Here’s proof: http://scrnch.link/weightlossresults

  • Hundreds of animal studies and scores of human clinical trials have shown that intermittent fasting can lead to improvements in health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancers and neurological disorders. The evidence is less clear for lifespan effects.

  • I disagree with the firsts statement, breakfast is the most important meal. I just have mine at 16:00, as the meaning of breakfast is the break the fast, no matter then time of day

  • Great, did you have the study link?
An interesting thing, I was listening to sadahguru and he said, their culture have been doing intermittent fasting for thousands of years,
meals should be spread about 8hrs apart, the body and mind function best when the stomach is empty, all healing processes work best,
the body does not work optimally when constantly eating,
And he laughs that it takes the west millions of dollars and tonnes of studies to now start understanding this,

  • Any ideas for those of us with fatigue limitations due to MS? As I am in my 60s my exercise consists mainly of NEAT,I can’t do as much aerobic exercise as the average person. I am guessing I need to build muscle but don’t have access to a gym. Thank you, I will keep following.

  • Yoga burn simply works. In the worry free place like your home the sky is the limit to what amount weight i am confident you will lose. • Am I the only mesomorph here? but I’m not really sure what am I… I naturally have defined muscle structure which means I have muscular (a little thick) upper arms, thighs and calves. My weight has never changed too much for the past 10 years:/ am I ectomeso, meso, mesomorph or endomorph??

  • You have great information and I find your presentations jump all over the place. You have a new study that you want to present the results of and before presenting those results, you jump off to a story about some guy from BC.
I listened to your presentation and I have no understanding of the studies results.
If you have lost followers it might be because you rant instead of present calmly. Love you and look forward to future tight presentations.

  • Skipping breakfast is more than just reducing calories…it extends your fast and will keep insulin levels low and fat burning is not paused due to jacked up insulin levels from eating or worse, eating sugary cereals or crap. After I drink coffee, I feel better and can keep the fast (restricted eating period) going until early afternoon. So not eating.. will help stabilize appetite and swings in appetite ( as well as maybe kicking in autophagy if you go without eating long enough)…because you arent messing with the appetite hormones…until you are really truly hungry again. Also, if u eat sugary stuff, prepare for increased hunger, no fat burning for a while and also fat storage.

  • 4:21 that is not how you boil vegetables, Ha

As a chef blanching (30-60 sec boil in salt water) helps preserve the nutrients since the salt water creates a barrier around the vegetable allowing the nutrients to remain within.

  • I’ve gained a lot of weight from my birth control pill in the last 6 months. I am very uncomfortable with my body right now. I’ve been lucky in my life because I’ve always been very consistent with a healthy weight where I felt very good about my body. Now I just don’t know what to do. I haven’t had to worry about this before to be quite honest. I am going to my gynecologist next week to discuss a different birth control option that will hopefully not continue the weight gain issue. Anyone have any advice about what works/doesn’t work with not gaining weight on birth control? I have a long term boyfriend and I’m sexually active and uncomfortable with not being on a form of bc. And diet wise I am vegetarian and honestly eating healthier than I have in the past (when I didn’t have weight issues). I am doing a lot better with portion control and cutting out processed foods. I need to work on less dairy for sure though. As for exercise I am lacking. I work in an animal shelter and I end up getting so sore and tired from work that I have no desire to exercise. I also have a chronic pain condition that affects my knee function and I can’t do some exercises for too long without extreme discomfort. I feel like I’m making excuses for myself though. I don’t know I just need advise.

  • I think I’m a mix, because I only recently gained weight, because I don’t exercise, but at first I could eat whatever I want and not gain weight

  • I’m portuguese, and live in Portugal. I’m 73 but I kan manege do your exercises withaut pain. My Weig is 76kg and I’m 1,56mt. Please give me a diet. like yuo very much. Bye. Sorry of my English

  • One thing about water intake and health. I get kidney stones. My urologist wants me urinating 2.5 liters a day. That’s a huge intake to b able to pee out that much.

  • Caffeine is a diuretic. By definition, it increases urine outtake. You can even experiment this yourself. Try just a cup of water, about an hour after waking up vs. just a cup of coffee, about an hour after waking up. I went to the source in the article and the study was in 2000, with just 18 subjects. This is a severely small sample size and the abstract even ends with “Further research is needed to confirm these results.” I love your videos but the thing about caffeine is simply wrong.

  • This corona virus drama st this point in time is nothing more than political power wrangling. ( do as I say and don’t ask why ) The common flu that nobody mentions has killed 10’s of millions and yet the world keeps turning

  • Not sure what stuff was studied for the detox diet.

A while back I did a 60 day juice diet. All fresh juiced every day. 1500 calories. Mostly vegetables. I drank a gallon of juice a day. I think my benefits are most likely due to the fact that I was taking in way more micro nutrients than you could ever possibly do eating solid food. Unless you can eat enough veggies in a day to fill a third of a fridge.

I lost 1lb per day for 60 days. Didn’t gain any of it back (for a long time). And cured my hypertension. I was 160 over 120, at the end I was 120 over 80. Years after the diet I did put the weight back on because I started drinking a lot, eating like shit, and quit exercising. But the hypertension never came back thankfully.

I know it’s anecdotal. But I really think there’s something to a properly done juice diet. As well as other forms of fasting. Like water fasting and intermittent fasting.

From the research I’ve done I can’t find a whole lot of good data on the subject. So maybe it just hasn’t been studied deep enough yet. But I do think there’s something to it. And I’ve seen many cases of people getting great health benefits doing it.

I’m also confident there are a lot of bs fad detox diets out there too. Or garbage products that people sell. Maybe that gives it a bad name.

  • Think about it like this. In a world where there really was no problem with milk, wouldn’t the dairy companies have just as much incentive to pay for the studies that say such a thing? They would still need to do it. How do you know this isn’t that world?

  • I love your videos and you come across as positive, informed and sober in your analysis. I did want to weigh in on the “coffee” thing. As a trainer and athlete who LOVES coffee, I really do have to have that glass of water instead sometimes, or i feel like I’m pushing myself in the red-as in, it feels like the acid in my body has built up too much. I think if you only ever substituted coffee for water, one might get f’d up pretty well. Cheers.

  • Can you do one on soy protein? There’s lots of controversies on that topic & that many companies are starting to use it in protein bars etc.

  • Hi there, I want to know if Custokebon Secrets, will work for me? I notice many people keep on talking about this popular fat burn diet plan.

  • thank you so much that was one of the most helpful videos I’ve ever watch its so good and i really like how you combine all the important info in one video with understandable and easy to process information god thank you so much i feel like i know more about my health and how to deal with it that was really helpful thank you guys so much

  • The studies Ive heard referenced concerning targeted weight loss concluded that fat gets deposited in a certain order and comes off in reverse order. The differences are between people, not routines. Given that study you showed had a small sample, it wouldn’t be surprising if they had just had people who lost weight in their legs first.

Also, HIIT wouldn’t work so well if targeted fat loss was possible since it relies on the idea of fat being released into the bloodstream at one intensity and burned in another.

It also doesn’t make sense to say that the far is released from a far cell and is picked up immediately by the cells around it to use as fuel. If that were the case, we would see fat loss in patterns related to blood perfusion.

  • You just got a new fan! Thank you so much for speaking about the virus. It is so upsetting that the world has been brought to it’s knees rather than addressing the elephant in the room, obesity and diabetes. Protect the elderly ok, but even there, it is an issue of severe preexisting conditions. In 6 months every single person who is high risk could have turned their health around enough at least to highly decrease the risk. Now they are trying to stop asymptomatic spread, wtf?! Healthy people are being asked to sacrifice everything indefinitely for the sake of unhealthy people. Why not just address the health issues and focus on moving forward from this hot mess! I don’t know any fit/healthy people who fear this virus, we all feel punished and shamed for our views.

  • “the ensuing comments that followed the video…” you know someone is trying to sound smart when there’s so much redundancy in their wording

  • Hi

I really enjoy your videoes and I think they have the top quality.
I was wondering whether you could research the best methods for building pure strength and power, for example for athletes that need to stay somehow slim, but have strong muscles. Soccer player, baskeball players ect. I would really appreciate that

  • Hi Jeff always love you highly informative VLOGS. Wonder if you could do something on eat right for your type where your blood type can dictate what foods are best for you and consequently will help you perform best in the gym. Cheers!

  • Everyone always says you can’t Digest raw eggs can you please do a video addressing this topic I’ve searched high and low and I can only find one study, I would love know your opinion. Many body builders from back in the day used to drink the 3 dozen raw a day.

  • Is there any benefit from taking a supplement before going to bed at night? (ie: creatine, Cla, stimulant free fat burning(metabolic boosters) products, or thyroid boosting herbs like kelp?

  • i’m a mesomorph. i have super fast metabolism, but i’m DEFINITELY not a stick. to prove how fast my metabolism is, i once lost 20 pounds in a little over a week without starving myself or throwing up. gained back that 20 very soon after though

  • My chest gains were lagging for over 10 straight years before I learned mind-to-muscle strength training. It is real and it is REALLY effective. I taught my wife how to do this as well and she is seeing results she has never seen before. BELIEVE.

  • My right arm is significantly stronger than my left!! It’s from picking up my bike/using it and favoring it in strength activities. They look different.

  • One thing that always struck with me was the catch phrase “WOMEN ARE NOT SMALL MEN” by Dr. Stacy Sims.
I wish women were studied more. Yes we have menstrual cycles, all the more reason for us to be studied and understood. As someone who time restricts her eating. I wish I knew more about why my body acts the way it does. So yes, I’m very frustrated.

  • Hey Jeff great content. Can you do a video on whether there is any benefit to periodically changing your routine and performing new movement patterns for a given body part? Is there any detriment to applying progressive overload to the same routine for say 3 years? Is there any scientific basis for this “confusing the muscle” jibberish? Thanks

  • Guys. lost a lot of weight does not need to be hard (I used to feel it did). I will give you some advice now. Look for a popular lose weight diet plan called Custokebon Secrets (do a google search). Thanks to it I have lost a lot of fat. I probably should not even be speaking about it cause I don’t want lots of other guys out there running the same game but whatever. I am just simply in a great mood today and so I’ll share the wealth lol.

  • Nice video.

  • U LOOK FUCKING GORGEOUS!
Fuck off to those bastards who doesnt like her appearance…
She is NOT asking for any of ours advice!
…….sorry but i luv your accent!!!!!!!

  • I don’t think anyone is actually a believer of “its just calories in and calories out”. If proponents actually believed this that means they would actually believe a diet consisting of eating your initial caloric maintenance in donuts would not lead to any weight gain in the future.

  • I really adore your “slowly but surely” approach. Just eat the right amount of food for months! You’re truly inspiring. Thanks, Rachel.

  • Are you aware that in case you knowingly steer clear of your favorite carbohydrate all the time because you believe they’re harmful or perhaps you think they’re the reason behind all of your extra belly fat, it can also be damaging for your hormone concentrations and in addition wreak mayhem on ones own metabolism? discover more helpful tips in this https://tinyurl.com/y92nuszy

  • Hello, I just started this plan! for to lose weight Watch the video here:

was surprised that my first fast day was not as hard as I thought it would be. I had my morning cup of coffee with a little milk and off to the gym I went. I was very surprised to find out that I could work out and not pass out! I did 15 min of aerobics! I drank a lot of ice tea and water all day. I ate some oatmeal with blueberries at noon and a salad at 6pm. I wanted to go to bed early so I could get up early and run to the kitchen and start eating! I was very surprised that when I woke up I was not starving!

  • Thank you so much! I try to exercise at least twice a week, or walk, but sometimes is so hard to make time for it, this is helpful love from Mexico

  • I believe I’m a endo-meso, who’s has a soft fat more in the upper body like arms, back and waist. Smaller in the lower body, small square booty and hip dip…this is very hard to switch that around, I really want a smaller toned upper body and build a bigger booty and hips

  • I have a really low muscle mass (18kg) (30kg fat) in my body and can only burn 1000kcals a day, what should I focus on, building muscle or losing fat? Keeping in mind I have a back injury that stops me from lifting heavy weights

  • The 2 Week Diet is the diet program for safe, rapid weight loss. Based on a decade of scientific research, it promises 8-16 pounds of body fat in just 14 days.

  • somatotyping is a real thing.. we’ve all seen numerous examples of people reflecting extreme examples in everyday life. The super skinny dude with typically short insertions who cant gain muscle no matter how much eats, the pear shaped guy with low test and wide hips, and the natural jock who looks pretty good without doing any lifting and can gain muscle and lose fat easily.

Stop lifting and eat normally for a long time and you will revert back to your natural somatotype, which is a combination of genetics and hormone levels (which itself can be highly based on genetics). Ectomoprhs get super skinny again, endos gain a lot of pudge, and mesos hold onto their muscle pretty well and don’t get too fat or too lean.

  • I used to be obese and didn’t participate in any sports but after I went on Thai diet I lost 5 pounds within the first 7 days of following the diet. It’s really helped me loose weight and I’m not very active and have a healthier lifestyle. The diet is here if you want to try it yourself; http://3438fzdevag0mvcq71m5eaged6.hop.clickbank.net/

  • Even if that study does show you can reduce fat at certain areas. It is only temporary until your body recomps and the fat redistributes throughout your body.

  • Thank you so much for point number two. I never considered trying my maintenance calories first before I deficit. Such a good observation.

  • Hey Rachel, I intend this to be constructive criticism just as an avid viewer of yours:) You’re a gorgeous woman, and this is a very informative video but I couldn’t help but keep getting distracted by the fake tan. I used to wear fake tan too a few years ago, religiously. But I think you suit your natural skin tone so much more girl! I’ve just read that some people are saying we shouldn’t comment on your appearance, but I liken it to what I’d tell a friend or my sister if I saw the same thing. Defs no bad vibes, always enjoy your videos xo

  • I am curious about how to survive the change from a very active job to a sedimentary one? As we spend 1/3 of our working life at work, does this have impact?

  • She looks like an oompah loompah why do we live in such a fake world? Every other youtuber has fake lips, fake hair, fake lashes, fake skin colour, you’re all fake fake fake fake fake! It’s like genuine natural beauty is so hard to attain nowadays. Sad. I’ve been watching Rachel for years and recently I don’t know what she’s done to herself. I saw one of her videos from 2015 and she looked way better and more like herself.

  • i’ve been ‘off track ‘ for too long and finally planning on getting back on track with healthy eating, exercising and fitness, and you were the only person i thought of to search for real motivation.

  • Thank you for including helpful info for mesomorphs! I’m 5’1″ with wide shoulders and natural strength. Believe me when I say there’s a fine line between looking like a powerful gymnast woman and a troll lady who just climbed out from under a bridge.

  • Aaaargh its so hard to stop dinking soda, and eating candy, but i know i need to do It, not onlu for weight loss, but also cuz’ i want to be healty. So i’ll try doing it. I already won for not buying pizza this weekend, and that’s a HUUUGE for me hahaha

    Sorry for my bad english

  • Terrific video, Rachel, you always bring top notch content.

Thought I’d mention that you have “weight loss” misspelled in your description box. Tiny thing, but I know i’d appreciate if someone told me:)

  • Good things on the inside: cereals, canned fruit and low sodium vegetables, tuna, sardines, triscuits, whole grain bread, tea, coffee, nuts, dried fruit, barley, quinoa, rice, seeds, popcorn, beans, legumes, nut butters, dried herbs and spices, nutrition bars….but yes. Other than those few things, stay on the exterior.

  • This is a fantastic video, I will be showing this to my Mum and best friend because all of us want to lose a bit of weight. Really good tips, really good advice, thank you so much:)

  • I am listening to what you’re saying, I promise, but I just had to stop and say oh my god you are GLOWING! Seriously girl, you look so healthy and honestly just luminous from the inside out whatever you’re doing, keep it up ✨

  • Sorry but I personally think advising people to eat a caloric deficit is completely wrong and bad health advise. Yes it will help you lose weight quick but is not a healthy lifestyle.

  • I’ve worked in restaurants for many years, please DO NOT bring your food!!!!! You will be kicked out!!!! Other than that those guys are right, stop going out so often.

  • Ok I had to watch this twice to be sure, and now I’m positive you are making an unfair comparison here.

You start this video of by presenting this view from the fitness world: “calories in calories out, energy balance, that’s what weightloss is about”. This view is not true you say and out come studies that go to show other schools of thought (time restricted feeding in this case) have many health benefits.

But this has no bearing on the claim that weightloss is (or is not) a matter of energy balance, and the energybalancecamp need to only have one response: “all those factors (sleep, stress, circadian rhythm etc) all influence the calories in calories out equation, but at the end of the week it’s still about an energy balance”. Which isn’t wrong.

Whether it’s smart not to look beyond that, not to have an exit strategy for the end of a weightloss period, not to think about overall health when making changes to your diet is not a difficult question to answer (ie I think you should think about those things) but the notion of an energy balance in relation to weight is correct.

And ultimately even the calorie counting camp will agree with all of that because they also say that it doesn’t matter what diet offers you a sustainable way of eating with a period in a calorie deficit, as long as it is sustainable for that individual and offers em that period in a calorie deficit. The example they like to give of an improper diet is a twinky diet that can have the calorie deficit but not the sustainability.

And when it comes to timerestricted feeding they will say it is not the time restriction that makes you loose weight, it is all those positive factors that make it easy (for many people) to maintain a calorie deficit, which in turn leads to weightloss.

I really don’t see how you can argue against any of the above.

But yeh, calories in calories out; stripped to just the equation it’s a very hollow principle for those that want a holistic picture of nutrition, health and fitness.

  • How did you train your speech? Who do you follow to improve speech? Since he changed his partner, he became more clear and productive.

  • What do you recommend for those who have difficulty eating enough to get to their maintenance level? I have a higher protein, lower carb diet (with lots of water-logged veggies) and protein fills me up so much it’s really uncomfortable to try to get up to maint lvl. Usually by a whole meal’s worth (deficit 500cal) as a result, I’m often tired as you said. I have a moderately active life style and don’t workout.

  • Stunning and incredibly helpful as always xoxoxo to all the negative people in these comments picking at her appearance, how would you like it if someone said that to you or to a friend or family member of yours? Seriously? Please be a decent, humble human being and keep the negative comments to yourself because they serve no purpose here. Rachel isn’t scrolling through your page picking on your appearance so why do it to her?

  • For women eating frequently imbalances hormones and increases insulin. You should have 3 meals a day so you body has tume to process the food.

  • Please get to the point soon in your video. Moreover some cue tips or captions would help big time. I have to go back and forth the video to find out the main information you intended to share, and it is not an easy thing to do. What it makes me do many a times is, I skip the whole video due to the lack of time or impatience.
Said that, I have learnt a lot from you guys and I admire your work.
Just please if you can take care of these two tidbits, it’d help a lot.
Thankyou and keep doing the good work.

  • Not sure what is going on with the audio, guys but the sound quality on those mics is much worse than your earlier videos. Not all change is good 😉 Check out the audio on one of your older videos and ask yourselves which is better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrO3o5pdBr8

  • I fast daily which helps me enjoy food. The bro diet counting Marco’s through day messes up my relationship with food. Not saying you dont count Marco’s fasting but you have more options then spreading it out throughout day.

  • I feel like I’m a meso-endo. I’m more sporty than a full endo, but too soft to be a full meso. I’m pretty carb tolerant and respond quickly to exercise but I still have that extra fat layer that won’t come off. It’s really frustrating to be stuck in the middle of these two types. I also don’t feel inclined to follow the “endo diet” because I don’t like eating meat. D:

  • Their 7 tips:

    1. You’ve got to be a possibility thinker PMA, positive mental attitude

    2. Associate with positive people and supportive people. Have a sense of humor

    3. Educate yourself on a diet, eating right, lifestyle changes find what works for you and that comes from self-education

    4. Avoid the scam claims (ex. 12 stretches you can do to burn fat, how to lose weight in 5 minutes)

    5. Stop going out to eat it’s an expensive way to get fat. Prepare food for the whole week so you eat healthy for the whole week.

    6. Do not go grocery shopping on an empty stomach. If you’ve brought it home, the battle’s already lost hard to have willpower day after day, especially at the end of the day.

    7. Exercise. Be active: go for a walk, work in the garden, do house chores

(Bonus one: Eating naked from the waist up)

  • Regarding the milk study, it has already found that milk contains high amount of hormones, fat and puss. The study you refer to might consider almost a million people, i found suggest you look up the study that was done in china over millions of people, which showed that increased daily intake of animal proteins lead to more cancer. The problem with the study was done on milk it only counts for several years at the most. Most of the effects of our nutrient is over years. So every study which make claims after just a couple of months or weeks is simply way to soon about their conclusion. This count for as well animal proponents as plant proponents. Just stating that a study heavily funded by the dairy industry will not be biased is just stating i am a religious person but will not be biased against someone without a religion. We all carry bias in our selves, and it has been shown time after time that studies funded by food industry is heavily favoring them as being healthy. I not for vilifying a certain food group. Our ancestors lived for centuries on that food. That said, i think you should eat everything in moderation.

  • When mom & dad would come to spaghetti dinner every Sunday we would have a hot loaf of french bread with butter. After dinner the remaining leftover bread went out the back door and uncovered into the dumpster. No way or desire or ability to retreive it from the dumpster.
In my home there is NO: cookies, candy, ice cream, cake, pie, soda, chips, pretzels, frosting, sugar, flour.
If l desire something sweet, l must get up and either drive or walk to the appropriate satanic store to the specific item l think l need.. Most of the time its just NOT worth the effort, especially if attired in my PJs.

  • Hello Rachel I dont want this to sound bad, but you look puffy in this video. I remember thinking this when you started to gain weight from pcos, is it possible because you are starting to reintroduce carbs?

  • Fasting has helped me in so many ways. I do Mon Fri 20 hrs fast than eat as “clean” as I can. Sat and Sunday I try to do a 16 hour fast but enjoy eating and drinking. Dropped so much fat while keeping muscle. It sounds hard but I eat around 7pm and as I’m up for work at 4 am I go to bed around 10 pm. This means with sleep and travelling it’s is so easy. It took me around a month to get to this level, starting at going 12 hours without eating and then adding one to two hours until I got to the twenty marks. Hope this helps, good luck to everyone. Just don’t diet that puts you in the mind of it’s not permanent. This is just the way you eat from now on, so it’s the norm.

  • There are so many shallow people in these comments. Why are people so judgmental about things that don’t really matter? How about you all listen to the information?

  • Dear Bob and Brad greetings to you from Azerbaijan PT association. Our country is world famous grenade fruit, in the grocery stores a lot of fruits and vegetabeles. We are glad to remember about us and will be glad to see you in our country). Thank you.

  • You guys are great! I learn so much from this channel. I needed these reminders about weight loss. I’d like to add that adding more water and ruffage may help as well, helping one feel full longer and reducing headache and nausea.
    Keep On, Keepin’ On!

  • I never understood if the total amount of calories per day to lose x pounds is with or without the calories lost during exercise. For example I need to eat only 1000 calories per day to lose x pounds. And that day I lost 200 calories during exercise. The total amount of calories I will eat is 1000 or 1200 calories (because if I subtract the calories spent i will only had eaten 1000). Can someone help me?

  • Look at google images of the results of diabetes. I remember when my sister’s doctor told her that she was developing diabetes, when someone said she should cut way back on carbohydrates and someone else said, “but that’s hard!” Is it harder than losing a foot to diabetes? Your vision? Your life?

  • I skipped rice and substitute it with Millet and Quinoa. Added few superfoods in my diet. My plate will always be full of vege, fruits and proteins(meat, egg, seafood) and combined with workout(running, jogging, jumping jacks) Lost 15kg in 3 months. Every night bfore bedtime and morning before breakfast I’m having Apple Cider Vinegar with lemon and a dash of cayenne Pepper. That’s it. I’m loving my daily routine now. The result is incredible and I’m shedding off weight on the go…I’m happy that my BMI is in healthy range now. Adding more superfood and healthy foods gives you more vital energy and health. Afterall Health is Wealth. All the best.

  • The term PMA was coined by Napolean Hill and W. Clement Stone. Together they wrote the book Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude.

  • One of the most honest, healthiest, dy and scientific video I have ever seen on youtube about body type based health plans. Thank you

  • This is a great video. I recently lost more than 30kgs/60lbs without exercise and have videos to show. i will appreciate if you visit my channel to see. thank you.

  • All great tips guys! Why would that guy bother going into a restaurant? Atmosphere I guess…it’d be super tempting to me. I couldn’t do that.

Iowa!! I so get it, I’m a Nebraskan!!

  • I was eating at a mom and pop restaurant for lunch today and no lie this lady in front of me was talking to a doctor about her cholesterol saying that she felt her heart was going to stop one day. But she was eating eggs and bacon and gravy with white toast for breakfast lol

  • Thank you for the tips Rachel. It can be easy to underestimate how much we are eating if we don’t keep track. I know I have been surprised in the past when I track my food and suddenly see it’s more than I would expect. I seem to be stuck in maintenance which is fine but I could do with tracking to see where I can make adjustments to get back to somewhere I am a bit more comfortable with.

  • Eating my own made from scratch food. I make my own almond milk, chicken stock, soups, chia seed puddings, overnight oatmeal. I’m in the kitchen all the time. Accepting that as a way of life, to include never ending dirty dishes has worked for me. Seeing a registered dietician has been great. Intuitive eating and being compassionate to myself. Lots of sleep! Water has to happen more:) I have body fat to shed, due mainly to depression and not being able to move easily because of that. Lack of energy kept me down. Now I’m getting activity again. Feels good. I’m doing better.

  • endo-meso..am not fat but is gaining belly fat i think due to my age since i’m already 41.., not like when i was in my 20s and 30s where i can eat anything i want and can easily lose the calories.

  • What is the best way to lost lots of fat? I read many superb opinions on the net about how exactly Custokebon Secrets can assist you lost crazy amounts of weight. Has any one tried this popular fat burn methods?

  • Have you thought of interviewing Dr. Andrew Kaufman or perhaps Thomas Cowan again? because I think they’d be great for your show right now (re covid implications)!

  • Every country is almost the same, here in Colombia is just like that. The outside islands contain fresh foods: fruits and veggies, the only difference is that here people have the option of consuming more exotic fruits all the time.

  • Great fan, love your studies to back it up, ive searched and searched through videos and maybe had a thought plan on the “V-Cut” in the hips and lower abdominal area that you see a lot of Hollister models have. Wondered if you had maybe an idea on how to work on getting this cut through diet, and exercises? Trying to start up on YouTube for the first time and get some gym videos in. Thanks.

  • Guys, build muscle doesn’t need to be difficult (I used to feel it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Search a diet plan called Custokebon Secrets. Seriously, that course has transformed my entire life. I probably shouldn’t even be mentioning it because I don’t want a bunch of other guys out there running the same “game” but whatever, I am in a great mood today so I will share the wealth haha.

  • What exactly is Custokebon Secrets? How does this thing really work? I notice many people keep on speaking about this popular lose weight method.

  • Biggest mistake we make is eating only one big meal a day.We should be eating 4-5 times small portions with moderate to high activity.

  • A lot of people today are working to find out the best method to drop weight. Then again, being able to discover a diet plan that can work for you is hard to find. A very important thing you want to understand is that a diet is effective for one person may not operate for another. And that means you have to understand what your getting into before you start one of those diets. This may give you enough information to learn whether this really is something that is suitable to your needs. Read more here https://truehealthreport.com/xtreme-fat-loss-diet-review/

  • I’m watching this to make sure what I’m currently doing is the correct thing. I feel at ease now. I’m trying to lose the excess weight I gained quickly so I have a good starting point to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I’m calorie counting to create a deficit but I’m still eating when I’m hungry and not starving myself, I’m intermittent fasting kind f by default because I usually only eat from about 2pm-10pm because I struggle with sleep and I also hate eating in the mornings. So thank you for this, I appreciate the simple information
