To lose weight, you have to try intermittent fasting and a low-carb diet. I lost 10 pounds in 5 months without really trying. It wasn’t fast but it was effortless.

    If for example you can eat 2000 calories a day to maintain weight. And youd need a daily deficit of 500 calories to lose weight. Does that mean that if you burn 300 calories, you can eat 1800 calories and it would still count as a 500 calorie deficit? Even if you ate the calories you burned back? Or do the saved and burned calories added up have to be 500?

  • Youre talking about carbs combined with fat. I eat a low fat diet and my triglycerides have gone down as well as my weight. Alsohow can you say fats come from carbs? That sounds like an oxymoron. Do you actually even know how much caloric intake of straight carbohydrates it would take to gain weight? Its actually lipids (fats) that you want to worry about when it comes t weight loss because, in human beings they ae more efficiently stored as fats Im not saying not to eat any fat (it would be impossible,anyway,) and im also not saying that omegas are not important. Its just ridiculous and factually inaccurate to say that all high carb diets will affects triglycerides (even if all other dietary patterns remain the same.) A croissant is not a valid example of a carb. Thats a high fat food. Carbs, (real ones, found in nature,) consist of veg, fruit and starch in their whole form.

  • This is such bullshit! This guy just talks about calories and doesn’t explain where those should be coming from. It’s still the old model of consuming less calories than you burn, but that has gone the way of the dodo. It is much more important what you eat and when you eat than how many calories you eat. Sustainable weight loss can only happen once you cut all sugars, all grains, all juices and Sodas and all so-called vegetable oils from your diet and replace them with good healthy fats and high quality proteins. I never count calories, I always eat until I’m full, I never eat snacks, because they keep your blood sugar and insulin permanently elevated. Insulin is the fat storage hormone. I lost more weight than I ever thought possible.

  • It is sheer misguiding of the masses, without calorie deficit and protein orientation in each meal it is impossible to reduce fat and gain lean muscle. People are simply ready & very happy to believe the justification of what they are already eating roti, dal, chawal & subji with minor tweaks. She never talks about calorie deficit & protein orientation, she is simply glamorizing the conventional diet which people are already taking. This conventional diet is suitable for hard working labor class who are anyways burning may be 1200 calories above their BMR and not for middle class office goers or very mild physical activity professionals which means it’s not for 99% of those watching in here.

  • Does dietary fat get stored in fat cells before carbohydrates are combined into fat? Why do people who eat high carb diets from fruit stay lean? I don’t see a lot of fat people who are eating a lot of strawberries, apples and oranges. I’ve heard eating simple carbs like sugar and processed wheat increase insulin and the insulin pushes fat molecules into fat cells. I think it’s easier for the body to move dietary fat into fat cells than it is to convert glucose into fat and then store it.

  • Using a fitbit that tracks steps, exercise, and increasing heart rate from my exercise, it tells me I usually burn 2300 calories a day as a 160lb women. Some days I burn 2,700 calories when I work out! I usually do more than 10,000 steps a day as a nurse at work. If your an active person, this calculation will not work. Unfortunately, I’m still 160 lbs due to bad diet. I lose weight fast when I eat 500 calories less than my daily expendature.
    I can not praise how easy the fitbit makes it to track my daily calorie expendature and with the app I can log my food in daily and track my calorie intake.

  • I just Love the way she explains. Her diet plan has all the nutrient we human need. Yeah moderation and exercises is the key to weight loss, totally agree. Her early dinner idea is the best.   • I have a question just to be sure I got it ��
    In your example you said she needs to eat 1543,7 cal per day to maintain her weight without doing any exercise.*
    But at the end to calculate how many cal per day she should eat to lose 16 lbs in 12 weeks you used 2122,58 cal (lightly active) in the formular.
    So if we wanted to calculate how many calories she should eat daily to lose 16 lbs in 12 weeks without doing any exercise the formular would be:
    1543,7 cal (daily cal to maintain without doing any exercise) 625 cal (cal to lose weight) = 909,7 cal?
    This seems not really healthy. As you said at least 1.100 cal would be the safest.
    So theres no healthy way for girls to lose weight without any exercise who are 160 lbs 65 inches and 24 y/o? Or did I calculate it wrong?��
    *(I was also confused that you said to x 1.2 if you dont do any exercise to calculate how many cal you should eat per day to maintain the weight but in the example you didnt do x 1.2 �� Why?)

  • This is the first time that I have found a video of yours to be confusing, and it’s not because of the math. In all of the rest of your videos and information on your blog, you imply that it’s not just the calories or the points in your system that made a difference for you, but it is what you eat no processed foods, lots of fruit and vegetables, lean protein, etc. and also how you exercise hiit workouts rather than long cardio sessions, focus on building muscle to increase metabolism, etc. Up until now, I was thinking that you had really hit on a formula that does more than take calorie calculations into consideration. I wish you would have said that the BMR is a beginning for figuring out how much to eat, but that other factors, such as what you eat and how you exercise can be more important.   • Carbs are actually beneficial for optimal hormones. T3 goes down on prolonged ketogenic diets and reverse T3 goes up. Insulin is NOT just a fat storage hormone and is just as much an anabolic hormone too. The key is to improve sensitivity as too low insulin is just as dangerous as continually elevated insulin. Protein raises insulin and though on a lesser scale, so does fat. With that in mind, what about HSL?! Hormone-sensitive lipase breaks down fat to be used as fuel whilst dietary fat suppresses this process. If you lower the fat and up the protein, then the higher insulin will inhibit HSL instead…. just as higher carbs would. Meanwhile, acylation stimulating protein doesn’t require very much insulin to store dietary fat into the fat cells (think high fat/moderate protein). The point is that carbs shouldn’t be singled out. The energy balance still stands and this explains why many high carbers can be lean, if one is active and utilising training methods requiring glycogen. We get that you are a Keto guru but all sides should be covered. I understand that your video explains the process of carbs into fat storage but 2 things you didn’t make clear and in doing so, paints carbs as the enemy: (1) Refined carbs are the enemy, not wholefood sources and (2) energy balance still stands and whilst a sedentary lifestyle can lead to dangerous belly fat with over consumption of carbs, a Keto plan will lead to higher triglycerides in the sedentary person and pose a latent threat, despite the slimmer belly.

  • 1,040!?! That would be an unhealthy crash diet for me. I maintain at 1,600. Not sure people should follow this. Yes you’d definitely lose weight as this advocates a pretty severe calorie deficit in my opinion. I say x1.2 to your weightx8 before adding the 200 and you’ll still lose weight, just more sustainable and gradual.

  • 5/22/2020 Item 3 on video. My follow up I used the coffee,sugar, olive oil mix. It made a 16 oz jar which can last 8-9 days. I let it set for a day before starting use. It is very messes I laid down for 25 mins as suggested every time. Some days I could feel a little tingle other days I felt nothing. I stopped at day 8. I seen no results.
