  • Thank you for these really good tips Daniel. I’ve heard a lot of them before but I slide back into bad habits. You’re absolutely right in what you say, and your video has given me the rap on my knuckles that I needed. Thank you for posting this. You’re a good man.

  • Hi! I know you’ve undoubtedly seen this, but I was looking at your older video regarding cholesterol. On the following link, Dr Esselstyn addresses the cholesterol “numbers”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTnbND_MpRA Of course this still doesn’t clear Amelia’s chocolate.:-) On a different topic, my wife and I have enjoyed your videos. We’re still trying to decide between Mexico and Ecuador. I’m concerned that Ecuador (well Cuenca) may be too chilly much of the time for my wife, and the altitude may be a bit much for me (I have asthma). Of course the diet may help that as well I just have to stop cheating.:-)

  • hey i just stumbled on your channel so happy your so nice and kind and the way you tell things i subscribed hope to learn more from you

  • I’m really trying to increase my protein at breakfast. I’ll usually have an egg muffin on the weekend and a cheese snack pack during the week.

  • I love that u don’t only tell us the tips, but also explain them, which helps even more.
And Omg the second habit I relate to the most, BUT I eat healthy snacks, like dry fruits:D.
Thanks for the tips Daniel and for the positive energy!

  • Hello there, have you thought about this diet plan known as the Custokebon Secrets? My friend says it helps people lost lots of weight. Is that possible? I also noticed many great review about this diet plan. Thoughts?

  • We have a lot more details with links to sources and the recipes we mentioned over on our blog: https://ameliaandjp.com/7-healthy-eating-habits/

  • Excellent advice Daniel! Im try to eat clean and training hard in the gym. Preparing to keep in good shape for this summer in Japan.

  • I’m working on the healthy habits, so thank you for this great video. Since I’ve gotten to Cuenca, I’ve hardly snacked at all. I still have caramel M&Ms I brought with me! I used to munch on junk every single evening, plus I drank beer a lot. These days I rarely have a beer and only feel the munchies once in a while. On those days that I do snack, I eat just a small, small amount of tortilla chips rather than the entire bag. I’ve gone a little nuts on bread, since good bread just wasn’t available in Taiwan, and there are still many fruits I haven’t tried. Poco a poco!

  • I lost 10 pounds while dad was in the hospital and when He passed. It wasn’t the healthy way, but we could only eat when we could and eat whatever we had. Now that I’m getting my appetite back, I will try to keep it off the good way.

  • 1: 7 hrs sleep
    2: check your weight everday
    3: drink hot lemon water
    4: plan your workout
5: do wrkout after that do 1 mnt head stand

  • Wow, great video. You guys have given me some great diet ideas. I’m not vegan but all your food looks so good and after visiting several mercados last week in Cuenca I think I could easily be vegan. The fruits and veggies were so fresh and beautiful in Cuenca that I fell in love with Mercado shopping. I’m back in the US now but really miss Cuenca. Hope to return early next year. Thanks so much for all your wonderful and informative videos.

  • Awesome tips!! I need some of your recipes!! I eat very similar at home I limit salt, oil, sugar & I’m plant based. Love how creative you guys are with your food! Will definitely incorporate the suggestions! Thanks! & keep up the great content!

  • I came here to do the opposite, anyone else or is it just me? I want to get fat but not too much because I’m just too skinny and I’m really uncomfortable with it…

  • Hi folks. Thank you so much for the video. This info is so amazing. i’m not vegan or vegetary but I’ve enjoyed the ideas that you put out. I understand that you consume no oil whatsoever. Does that include nuts?

  • Hold on,did you say you’re from South Africa I’ve been watching you all this time and I didnt even know MY BROTHER!My life is a lie

  • The Cuenca mercado seems to have much greater abundance than the one in Olon. Is that one thing you miss about Cuenca? It’s so nice to see a WFPB couple like yourselves praising the benefits of the diet.

  • Mam can we have 4 almonds as pre workout becoz everytime fruits r not available at home. I have tried black coffee but it didn’t suits me if u can give some easy pre-workout options that will be helpful

  • Hey Val….these are some great tips….if only I had the will power to stick to alot of these tips…but I keep trying! I would LOVE to be 186!! Tfs and take care ♥️ ♥️♥️♥️

  • It is not ‘weight’ people want to lose, it is extra ‘body fat’! You can gain weight as muscle weighs more than fat:) But good video!

  • Daniel, thank you for great videos! they are so informative!!! Pls, make more videos from Cape Town, I always wanted to visit this gorgeous city! Also I have question for you, Can I guy who is 6 ft / 183 sm, be a runaway model? or it is not tall enough? thanks

  • weight loss is a major situation for everyone. so many ways like gym and workouts are a great way to lose weight. I prefer this product for weight loss @t it will work 92%

  • Thankyou for reiterating the little and often mantra. My doctor told me that years ago. It was good advice. I’ve got onto a different diet now because i had a bad diverticulitis flare for four months. But the originator of that says you should have breakfast late in order to stretch the time between dinner and breakfast, part of intermitant fasting. Not good for me. I should forget it. Foods like bananas are good for me and for snacks though. K

  • Hi Daniel,

I really enjoy your videos. You share a lot of good information. Thank you.

Ever since I subscribed to your channel I’ve been trying to figure out your accent. It’s cute.

    Best wishes from Florida

  • I always have one tablespoon of homemade peanut butter in the morning. It gets the metabolism going. Walking is far better than running any day because it’s low impact. Runners always wind up with knee and back problems. Good solid advice. Thanks! Good fortune with your weight loss journey.

  • Hi Barbara, is the wild alaskan salmon you get in the can or tin healthy to eat? and how do I remove the excess sodium from the canned varieties?

  • I would to see more mercado haul videos. You mentioned tea and spices. Are you able to find loose tea leaves and spices in the the mercados?

  • Great video. I too just recently cut out oils.
I like that you tell us the prices of stuff….it motivates me to save up to make my move.
What kind of outlets are used? Is the same plugs used as in US?
I’d want to bring my small appliances with me (Instant Pot, blender, juicer, Air fryer). Thank you.

  • I know everybody is different, but I’m curious what your general caloric intake is since you mentioned avoiding the high fat foods. I recently had a health problem and was unable to eat my normal 1800 cal/day. What surprised me is how I felt ok on 700-1200 cal/day. Also, I do not follow a specific meal plan except to eat as fresh, clean, and local as possible, but I have never enjoyed meat or animal products. I force myself to eat it for the protein. Usually only 2oz/day since I’m not a fan. But when I got sick, I couldn’t chew so I was eating a lot of veggie bisques and Farina, for example. I feel naturally drawn to vegetarian or vegan eating, but it’s intimidating. I appreciate your down to earth explanations. /end journal entry:D

  • Beautiful footage of the mercado! It makes me smile to see such an amazing abundance of healthy and cruelty-free foods. And the Ecuadorian people are always so friendly!

Do you get the whole grain pastas at the mercado? Thanks for all your work for the animals and the planet!

  • Hi Daniel, I am a fan of yours and a ur subscriber, let me ask this. what’s the title of the song u used from the start of ur video?

  • “The Obesity Code: Unlocking the Secrets of Weight Loss”
A Estrogenic obese body is created by sugar and all high carbs, refine carbs, frutose in fruit, toxic fatory food, fast food, The biggest problem with controlling diabetes and weight through diet is that people are lazy.
You can lead a horse to water but can’t force them to drink. Most people rather eat fast food, factory frozen food, protein powder and dairy full of hormones, casein, pestecides that destroy the cells in the pancreas and cause cancer (dairy is toxic) People rather take pills or shoot insulin than to change their shitty lazy eating habits.

We live in an “instant gratification” society full of lazy people with Zero discipline or work ethic. Sad but true.

If you want to lose weight watch your intake of “carbs”, but be careful since the equivalent of 12 teaspoons of sugar happens very quickly. For example:
    1 cup of milk equals = 2
teaspoons of sugar * 1 cup
of rice (cooked) equals = 9 teaspoons of sugar* 1
banana equals equals = 5 teaspoons of sugar • 1
baked potato equals = 7 teaspoons of sugar • 1
    sweet potato = 8 teaspoons of sugar • 1
cup of strawberries equals = 2.5 teaspoons of sugar (low sugar)* 1/2grapefruit
= 2 teaspoons of sugar Coca
cola (one can) 8.25 teaspoons of sugar –
Raisin Bran cereal 7.75 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) –
Grapes fruit 4 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) –
    Tomatoes 0.7 teaspoons
    of sugar (per 100grams) –
1 Muffin (one chocolate chip muffin) 4.75 teaspoons of sugar –
    Special K cereal 3 teaspoons
of sugar (per 100grams) Corn Flakes 2.4
teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) Alpen cereal 5.75
teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) Mangos fruit 3.2
teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams) A
cup of seedless prunes has, in effect, 25 teaspoons of sugar! Scientists find in comparing the sugar levels in the blood after the consumption of a snickers bar that has 8.5 teaspoons of sugar the same as two bread slices!.
    The sugar equivalent is of
1 large bagel a whopping 12 teaspoons of sugar!
    Lastly, it is worth noting
that there are many breads that a single slice of which will raise your blood sugar more than a US Snickers bar (which has a GI of 68/97)…if the Glycemic Index can be believed.

Youcan browse the table yourself to see. I’ve included some of the more interesting ones below.Breads that have a higher Glycemic Index than a Snickers bar: Also don’t eat fruit if your plan is to lose weight ; all fruit will cause your insulin to go up.

Every morning Instead eat For breakfast eat a high protein diet..No refine carbs,no fruit but eat salads every day.
Atkins diet, paleo, kentgenic diet are good diets for losing weight.Very important If you eat high protein diet make sure you take vitamin B-6,folic acid,B-12, choline, Vitamin C 3 grams a day to keep your homocysteins low in your blood so you dont get heart disease.

.To detox your liver and bring down estrogen eat sulfur vegetables,Brocollie, cabage, onions, garlic,Red beets et.. Best supplement for the liver is..; “”Trimethylglycine”” (TMG) and “liopic cacid” take 600 mg a day best for liver health to lose weight and drink no acohol.

Excesssugar eventually affects every organ in the body, but initially, it is stored in the liver in the form of glucose (glycogen). Since the liver’s capacity is limited, a daily intake of refined sugar (above the required amount of natural sugar) soon makes the liver expand like a balloon. When the liver is filled to its maximum capacity, the excess glycogen is returned to the blood in the form of fatty acids.
These are taken to every part of the body and stored in the most inactive areas: the belly, the buttocks,
the breasts and the thighs. But then it affects vital organs like the heart and the kidneys.

Avoid soy: Though not a chemical estrogen, it is a plant-based estrogen, and can throw off your hormonal balance. Work out: Studies show that exercise lowers estrogen levels. A 2011 study, for instance, found that premenopausal women who engaged in aerobic exercise for 300 minutes a week
lowered total estrogen by nearly 19 percent.

A 2013 study also found that aerobic exercise helps the body break down estrogen so it’s easier to flush away. Get enough sleep: When you don’t get enough sleep, you can not lose weight.. levels of the so-called “sleep” hormone melatonin are disrupted.
Turns out that melatonin has a protective effect against excess estrogen.

A 1999 study, for example, showed that melatonin helped block the growth of estrogen-induced cancer cells. Use a water filter: Public water supplies often contain chlorine, fluoride, and other industrial chemicals that act as xenoestrogens. Use a quality filter to reduce your exposure.
