  • Im 25 now, smoke since I was 13. I officially smoked my last cigarette 3 days ago and I haven’t been able to sleep at all.   • Most of the things that improve neurogenesis are activities and things we did pre Bronze Age. It makes complete sense that eating harder foods promotes new neurones, plants food are hard. I also think their could be an impact between eating plants and meat. Eating plants is what we have been doing predominantly for millions of years. Intermittent fasting is also what we did throughout most of our timeline and not relying on artificial heating ( I believe we have to experience coldness).     now 29 and counting

  • I’m pretty sure oxalates cause veinous clogging…research oxalates and sally norton. Eye opening. Dr. Gun dry put me on the path to better health a couple of years ago when I couldn’t take the pain from arthritis he taught me about lectins and my pain was diminishing but not totally going away… the anti or opposite of lectins are oxalates… which stick to everything in the body causing inflammation and life failure as you become more and more toxic.   • association doesn’t mean causality. the fact that those 105 year old people have a certain microbiome doesn’t mean that’s the cause (i’m not saying that microbiome isn’t important, there’s certainly associations ot diseases with certain diseases or aging, but the “signatures” aren’t yet known). besides, he didn’t answer to the question “what is health” in a general way, he went directly to discussing sing the gut. i liked what he said about cholesterol though (where funny enough he says association is not causation)

  • 8:35 crunchy food results based on mouse data or human data? Mice need to grind down their teeth so that the teeth don’t grow into the palate. Not so for humans. Is it possible that crunchy foods cause mice to grow new neurons, because it’s essential to survival? and that humans might not need crunchy food to grow new neurons, because it’s not essential?

    Like I asked a commander in the Swedish Defence, a “Hunter” as we call em.
    He mentioned how before going to a potential meet, how to stay calm despite knowing it could be a trap or w/e scenario to as they stood guard etc to do “box breathing” (Basically its just a 4in4hold4out4hold4in box flow. Designed mostly to to keep calm under stress that he swore by.

And yes I was doing his exercise as I watched.:) I prefer to inhale through my nose, though, and exhale the same. It is much more calming and activates the lungs all the way to the bottom.   • Dude I used to smoke minimum 10 cigarettes pr day and suddenly I stopped to 31 may as it was last day of smoking till now I completely completed two month…….. Only thing is when there is will there is a way

  • The real unspoken reasons are that we are viewed economically as nothing more than consumers, workers aren’t valued very much (especially those at the lower end of the economic ladder)we are considered expendable. Most jobs are unfulfilling. We have become completely disconnected from nature. Breathing can certainly help alleviate symptoms, and I do like the idea, but let’s be honest: it does nothing to address the disease.
