  • If you take the wheel off yourself and take it to a Cycle Gear store, they will add a new tire and balance it for a very fair cost. I have found that the back axle is much easier to get back on than the front axle.

  • Im using grinded beef meat and add some salt, garlic, pepper and put em in microwave with some bacon (using a box that works for that). Meal prepped in 5 mins. No additives, fresh and healthy. I sometimes add some cheese on top for extra fat. It does not have to take a long time to make the one meal you eat for the rest of your life. The only thing you should consider is if this food is something you enjoy eating over time.

  • Thing is, if you’re eating any kind of processed food, the calories on the labels, I believe, have a tolerance of 10%, so it’s always a challenge. Calorie counting will always be an approximation to some degree. ++ on nutrient timing.

  • I stopped drinking milk decades ago, before I went vegan. My boys are dairy intolerant and I can’t stand that icky aftertaste. Plant milk is so refreshing compared to dairy.

  • Biopower and necropower both are dehumanizing features. In the real world I would classify both as the lowest amount of money, or compensation, needed to get someone to kill you or make you produce a child, yeah I went there. In certain parts of the world this is a terrifyingly small amount of money or compensation.

    However both biopower and necropower deal with the worth of an individual not the value of a person. The only reason why we don’t have thousands of death dealers all over the planet is because someway somehow we recognize that the value of a person being alive, even a straight up asshole, is greater than the worth of that person being dead.

    We see this in the separation of autocracies and democracies: one obtains it’s power and wealth from the ground, and the other ostensibly from the produced accumulative wealth of the people. When the worth of people is increased, because they are fundamentally the source of wealth and money of a political organization, then the political organization takes strong stances about the well-being of it’s population. Autocracies meanwhile get their wealth from the ground and dying slaves can still mine gold.

    If we want to change the world for the better we need to fundamentally increase the value of individuals in every location to be greater than their worth as warm bodies capable of hard labor.

  • In my experience so far, good is neither cheap OR fast. It costs more to cook and eat healthy. This is why so many people are in the fast-cheap trap. Cheap food is not good. Fast food is not good either. Perhaps it depends on your definition of what good is.

You shouldn’t really have to worry about ruining anything if you use enough bead lube and tire spoons meant for bikes.   • You have to eat carbs in order to even remotely have any power at all. Doesn’t matter what the keto ppl tell you, if you live and breath and move, you need carbs for energy, only when you depleted the atp pc and and fast glycolysis, only then your body starts burning fat, which means you work slow, low power but you can go for a long long time. In terms of exercise, it means you can’t do anything useful.

  • IMO if your natural… your better off training for light simulation in a deficit. When your low of calories, your growth hormones taper off. Therefor your ability to repair gets drastically impaired. IF your breaking down your muscle and then not repairing it, it will disappear. Just go into the gym and use light weights, concentrate hard but only for a few sets per body par. Then add more walks and some HIT cardio + a decent deficit. Train like a boss and eat heaps for 3 months. Then eat at maintenance and train hard AF for a month. Then train decent in a mild deficit for a month. Then train like a pussy and diet hard AF for a month. Works great for me. Most people think they are losing muscle… but in reality they are just fatter than they realized and need to lose far more body fat to get the look they are after.

And even Immorten Joe himself has a human nature, he shows it many times. He puts his life on the line for someone he loves as well.

    This is not a film about the dangers of global warming or humans destroying the planet. By contrasting our animal instincts with our noble instincts through these complex characters and groups, the film reveals what sets humanity apart from the animal kingdom and why we must continue to move forward by leaving those animal instincts behind in favor of our nobler selves.

  • The vast vast majority of soy is grown to feed animals, which is for the carnists, not vegans. So who are the real soy boys? Good god. The average meat eater is consuming way more soy than the average vegan, it is just recycled. Plus they on average consume a lot more junk food which contains soy. I almost never consume soy as a vegan, even while eating processed vegan packaged foods. It is very easy to avoid for me.

I bought steel braided brake lines for my FZ-07 and a LCD flip kit several months ago and I still can’t get myself motivated to finish the install.   • This article seems stupid although I was actually surprised by how much more soy is needed to produce soy milk compared to cows milk. Either your a first draft kind of guy, or the information surprised you too since it seems like the opposite was being implied at the start of the video. We know from other research that vegetarian diets as a whole have a similar environmental impact to vegan diets; however, comparing plant milk to cows milk there is definitely going to be more greenhouse gas emission from cows milk. It’s not really clear cut that grass fed cows have higher GHG emissions. The data is certainly variable on that front with most data that I could find suggesting a lower environmental impact. This is relevant since grass in general cannot be consumed by humans. There is some question about edible protein consumption vs edible protein production in the dairy industry. While adults could always switch to another plant milk, young children should really only drink soy or cows milk. If soy milk is preferred for any reason including purely ethical reasons, soy consumption should not be discouraged (I say as I eat my plate of tofu).

    I wanted to bring your attention to the dairy industry sponsoring the K-pop band BTS. They just yesterday released their new music video “Dynamite”. Within the first 30 seconds, Jungkook picks up a glass of milk and drinks it, then does the classic milk lip close up shot and wipes it away with his sleeve. There’s a lyric at the 30 second mark “Shoes on get up in the morn, Cup of milk let’s rock and roll”. Also in the video they are glamorising donuts and ice cream. I wonder if BTS are aware of the horror of the industry that they are promoting to hundreds of millions of people around the world. I’m a fan of BTS, but their constant promotion of animal products in their vlogs and videos always irks me, although yes it’s a more mainstream thing to eat animal products anyway, especially in Korea. But now with that overtly blatant dairy lip shot that all the advertisements use, they’ve gone overboard imo. It’s just that BTS have spoken out about various social issues before, such as racism, sexism, lgbt, etc. I would hope they could extend that to animals, but that would require some nudging, which thus far I haven’t seen anywhere. Now’s the time I feel, and we should encourage them while the music video is still new. What do you think? Do you think BTS could be a great spokesperson for animal rights?

  • ASE certified tech here, if a torque spec seems awfully low, do it anyway. The number of times I have looked at a torque spec and thought “15lb ft? Thats it? Better bring it up a little just to be safe” was in the dozens when I was a rookie. Very smart and very well paid engineers have spent thousands of man-hours determining every. single. fastener. spec.
    They know it is tight enough to hold whatever it is in place without it falling apart. And what do you know? Nothing. It’s crazy that people (myself included) have read the specs, and decided at that moment that we know more than them, and *snap* there goes the bolt head. Or worse, when you are tightening something then it suddenly becomes very loose. Learn from me and trust the engineers.

  • Wow! Nice commentary! It brought back memories from when I would strip down the engine on my Suzuki RGV-250 in the mid nineties. First time I did it at an age of 21 it took all night because I was one bolt short! Not knowing (or reading) meant it was possibly in the engine! So I had to start the process all over. After a year, instead of taking 8 hours I was able to do it in two (with breaks). Great review! ����

  • That take a break for every hour tip is spot on, im mostly a car guy, just got into bikes. But it’s the same thing with things going wrong. We all been through the frustration of something not working out after hours of trying, MOSTLY BECAUSE YOU’RE TIRED to just take a break leaving it for the next day, and accomplish in 5 minutes something you spent 2-3 hours the day before

  • Another tip, record yourself when disassembling so you know how to reassemble and organize the nuts and bolts and any other pieces as well when doing it for the first time or even second or third time.

    I somehow have extra bolts and those push panel clips after doing a flush on fluids, replacing my fork/dust seals, and then putting my fairings and everything back in place…

  • Here are 4 tips from my 20 years of personal experience with motos, cars/trucks, appliances, etc, etc.., that I think all newbies should practice:

    2. If you’re ever unsure of something, take pictures and short videos explaining to yourself where something came from and what was plugged into it, or where it was plugged into.

    C. If you completely remove a nut and bolt together, put them back together before you set them down.

    3. And how not to lose, mix up, or have extra screws: USE BAGGIES AND A SHARPIE. Bag and label ALL your screws and small parts into groups and sub groups. This can be an invaluable part of your project if you’re working on something over the course of a few days, or even just a few hours.

  • Hi Mic, I know your focus is the benefits of a vegan diet but I would love you to examine the effect of sleep on fat mass, disease and longevity.

  • What most people eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner are generally quite good (it was for me anyway) the problem was portion size (way too much) and also in between meal snacking. Once you rectify these issues you will find that weight will gradually drop. Of course, it isn’t easy if it was everyone would do it but just remember anything that’s worth anything is never easy. Hopefully I will take my own advice and see a difference in my own body these coming months!

  • I have tried every plan imaginable to naturally lose fat and maintain muscle. I have never been successful. I’m either gaining fat and muscle, losing fat and muscle or just maintaining. For me, there is no option to get ripped naturally. Comes down to genetics. I have seen other people do it but it just doesn’t work that way for me

  • Yes, I too am guilty of jumping through diet plan to others as well, I do believe that I need to have tried every fat loss program that was available, but in the end not one of them made it easier for me to lose and keep the weight off.   • Hi mate sorry this maybe abit of a daft question but I just wanted to ask you something about sleep,my job in the uk is a milkman so I get up at 1.30 am for work 6 days a week,to get around 8 hours sleep a night I’d have to go to bed around 5pm every night which just isn’t possible(I have a wife & 2 small kids),the earliest I go to bed is around 8.30-9 so I’m roughly getting around 5 5 & a half hours a night which is obviously not enough,but then when I get home from work I do go back to bed for up to 3 hours,what I’m just wondering is,is this way of getting roughly 8 hours in ok or do you need to get it in all in one hit

  • I lost 73 pounds this year from drinking five liters of water a day and intermittent fasting. I eat six small meals between 7am and 5pm (one meal every two hours). I also only drink my water between 7-5pm. I’m about to drop below 300 lbs. I can’t wait!!

  • Sorry but the advice that you have given is Wrong.

    I have lost 15kg in the last few months by……

    Cutting out all sugars including fruit.
    Intermittent Fasting for 20 hrs a day ( you can drink fluids that don’t cause you insulin production like black tea and coffee and water )
    I cycle between 20 and 30 miles dally
    I have my breakfast at 4 pm and main meal I finish eating by 8pm.
    I’m working towards a one meal a day.
    I have cut down on carbs and eat a hand size bowl of mixed nuts daily.
    I’m eating more vegetables and food high in fibre and I have a bit of fat in my diet

    Finally, I feel great.

    I Watched Dr Eric Bergs videos on YouTube for the weight loss that I have made.

  • Hey Alpha, this video might be a couple year old, but it felt like you just encouraged the little voice in my head to restart my fitness lifestyle. I have started doing IF in the last couple of months, however when it comes to fasted cardio or even working out on an empty stomach, i feel weak and no focus, and tend to be lazier in the gym.
    About 10yrs ago i was a gym buff and fitness addict, and then now havng a dad bod, self esteem plummeted as well. So thanking you for this video mate, hopefully it ignites my enthusiasm in the gym. Cheers ����

  • Always good to mention that most grazed land is over grazed and causes runoff, especially in the UK and Ireland. The ideal conditions for carbon and methane sequestering, which a different article suggests, rarely occurs on pastures. The profit incentive will always make dairy destructive to land. An untouched forest is exponentially better than a cleared pasture for grazing, and that’s not factored into pro-animal-ag research either.

  • This scale is dissapointing. I hardly see any change in the fat percentage or water percentage even though my routine and diet has turned upside down. Plus the body fat percentage it displays is ridiculously low. Only thing it can measure accurately I think is the weight

  • I have a comment ( not related to this video): IGF-1 makes things grow all right ( so it helps in building muscles). A vegan diet brings your IGF-1 levels down which is healthier but it should make it harder to build muscles ( in theory). As a bodybuilder ( I know, it’s not very healthy to have a lot of muscle mass to begin with but better than being sedentary I guess), I think it’s a compromise we make when we switch to a vegan diet, to prioritize our health over performance ( less IGF-1).

    Most “vegan bodybuilders” you show in your videos are using anabolics (no judgement here) which make it a lot easier to synthesize proteins from all sources. Patrik Baboumian uses big quantities of soy isolates everyday ( way more than 4gr of leucine ) and most vegan bodybuilders include a quantity of vegan protein powders that boosts IGF-1 levels.
    I switched to a vegan diet and I’m trying real hard not to use too much of the protein powders ( 1 scoop /day ). I feel it’s a bit harder to build muscles but I feel I’m doing the right thing health wise. Thanks for your videos ( real informations based on studies). You make a difference for a lot of people.

  • Did a valve adjustment on my gsxr 600. It was overwhelming at first but if you take your time and gather the right tools it’s not bad. Saved at least $500 too; bike mechanics are rip offs. At least in NJ

It would be great if you could be more explicit about this because your tips are definetely not the way to go for somebody who wants to lose quite a bit of weight.   • Mike, great video. Could you do one on (versus coconut oil)? I don’t cook with oil but once in a while it’s fun to make my own mayonnaise. I hear a lot from some health group that coconut oil is a lot healthier than canola oil because of the method of extraction of canola oil that is supposed to produce transfat. Canola oil is one of the lowest saturated fat there is, but because of its method of extraction, it would turn as one of the worse according to this group and coconut oil is king.

  • Nice video I’m interested in the opposite.. gaining weight without a loss of power/kg. As a 63kg rider this what I would love to do.. Having power on the flat is way more useful for racing in the UK than being a hill climbing goat.
