  • If you’re overweight, then I suggest starting with a keto diet first. Basically fatty meat with veges, as much as you want to get your body habituated to burning fat as a fuel source. If you want to lose excess weight (fat), then you have to train your metabolism to get used to burning fat. No sugar, no bread, no noodles, no carbs AT ALL. Carbs have an interesting metabolic effect since if it’s not used soon, then it get stored as fat.

    Make sure you’re eating enough salt, potassium and magnesium in the diet: critical. All available as supplements. After 2 weeks on the keto diet, you’ll notice that your appetite has diminished and your cravings for random food goes down to zero. Next step is intermittent fasting so have your last meal at 6 pm.   • Probably the worst video I’ve seen these to do. They’re trusting a guy that who only has a bachelors degree in medicine? And also the literature is pretty poor on apple cider vinegar, there might be anecdotal reports but that’s nothing more than a placebo effect on a scientific level until a large body of evidence begins to develop, which it has not yet.   • I cycle my calories based on whether or not I workout on that particular day. On workout days I’ll keep at maintenance level or 100-200 above. On non-workout days I’ll go into a 500 or so caloric deficit. This is a good strategy to hold on to muscle mass and be able to workout hard at the gym 3-4 days a week.

When I started my weight loss journey I was 240 pounds and I was at about 26% body fat. Now I’m at 178 pounds and I’m at about 16% body fat. Now I know you don’t want to hear this but you have to accept it. Weight loss takes time.   • ACV is beneficial if it has the “mother” in it. It’s a living food. I know many people that are taking it for T2D, HBP, GERD, arthritis, and the list goes on. I take it for gut health.   • Keto is described totally wrong. And it is definitely harder with carbs cycling. Sounds almost that you try to get people hating keto. In healthy keto you get your fibers: from 7-10 cups of nonstarchy veggies every day. After high carbs you are back in ketosis in 8-12 hours, if you have practiced it long time (8 hours, if OMAD).

  • IF, 2MAD alone allows adjusting caloric intake on will as your body becomes fat adapted & hunger wont dictate the pace of your meals

  • I had to work my way up to 1T ACV per glass of water a teaspoon at a time. Took me a couple of weeks. Jumping straight in to the full amount will seriously upset your stomach. I also read about the benefits of raw honey so I mix an equal amount of it into my glass. Right now I drink a 12ounce glass of water with 1T each of raw honey and raw ACV before each meal and it actually tastes pretty good. Bob and Brad are saying 2T of ACV, so I think I need to increase my dose!

  • Good vid! I’d transitioned from vegan to predominantly doing vegan keto but have hit a plateau and am having constant cravings. A while ago id very successfully done 500 cal IF which was awesome because I never felt deprived and for that reason was able to happily sustain it. On the other hand, I think the stress of having to maintain ketosis is ultimately working against my progress and I have very low energy. Therefore I am going to try the 500 IF plan again and see what happens. Thanks again!

  • Think long term, I cannot stress this enough” That is key. Train 3 days a week + some cardio on off days, eat healthy with some fat and HAVE FUN. Depending on your physique and age it may take from 2 to 5 years so do not give up and stick with it!

  • Guys, you generally seem to have a healthy skepticism, and to be careful about evidence, expert credentials, and science. I not only appreciate that, I wouldn’t watch you otherwise. It’s refreshing in the mixed sea of fact & misinformation that is the internet.

    That said… ��… I take issue with one statement Bob made ( 1:17).
    ��”Well there’s no more proof than that, when it starts working on yourself.”

    Brad’s experience with apple cider vinegar and reduced stiffness and pain in his hand is understandably encouraging to him, but it isn’t proof, and it’s debatable whether it’s even evidence of anything. I imagine you’ve heard the statement “Correlation does not imply causation.” In other words, did the symptom reduction happen because of the apple cider vinegar, or was that a coincidence? I do applaud that Brad says he wondered what the science was behind his experience. ��

    Frankly I’m also skeptical about any bacteria-killing benefits of the acetic acid in vinegar. The stomach already produces hydrochloric acid, which is much stronger.

    Having said all that, I’m open minded about the possible benefits of apple cider vinegar, and this isn’t my first time hearing about them. I always enjoy your channel.

  • for those of you concerned about the taste I just switched to the gummies a couple of weeks ago and I take two a day to replace my 2tbsp of Braggs. It actually works better for me and is so much easier to take.
