  • Try NOT to make your bed the second you get out of it, you sweat on average 1 pint every night and that moisture is retained in the sheets and mattress if you don’t air your bed. Airing the bed also reduces dust mites which feed off of your dead skin cells these cause allergies and asthma. Ideally pull the cover back, get ready, have breakfast etc. Then go back and make your bed. If that is too much effort at least make the bed but keep the duvet folded down towards the end of the bed. Otherwise you’re just trapping the mites and moisture ��

  • I am worried about this channel, Alivia, and the messages being received by viewers. These kinds of anxieties over food, reward, control, health these are not meant to be “fixed” by habit change. Legitimating anxieties by molding your behavior (for the sake of “health” or even well-being) merely reinforces the deep-down, base feeling of dissatisfaction with the self. The need to control the unideal. The better questions to ask: why am I dissatisfied with how I am now? Is this dissatisfaction necessary? Who told me this current state of mine was insufficient? Why is my happiness still tied to a future state? Why is a certain identity more ideal than who I am now?

    I would highly recommend cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for negative, recurrent thoughts even if they seem to propel you towards “health,” as in this video and channel. CBT is a practice of identifying dissatisfaction and negativity in the *now*, stopping it in its tracks, and redirecting it with gratitude, presence, and thoughtful third-person analysis. Drinking water, exercising, setting a regular sleep schedule these are all great and NECESSARY for our overall wellness. Do them! Really! But don’t do them because you want to be a “healthy girl”… “someday”… in your life. That mindset is tied to the future, and ultimately is just a different form of reserving happiness for a certain type of self, just like in Alivia’s previous diaries about reserving happiness for when she’s skinny.

    Healthy habits can reset your physiological, neurological baseline to better receive positivity. But after the reset, keep going. Dig deeper. Habit change is surface-level, often merely band-aids. What compels us to change at all is below the surface.

    My bottom-line: Don’t try to be a “healthy girl.” Don’t feel shame for being “unhealthy” or for being what you are now. Think deeply about what makes you want to change. Ask yourself, do I really have to? Be satisfied with yourself. Come as you are, accept as you are.

  • it’s interesting that you say that about waking up early, because with my sleeping disorder i go to sleep at around 2. i cannot go to sleep before that.

    it doesn’t help that i live in a village rather than a city but when im still awake at 2 in the morning, there are no birds, no people talking, not even cars passing by. it’s so incredibly silent that with only the whirring of my laptop and my phone i feel this very oppressive loneliness.

    for this reason, i listen to asmr (just people talking) so i feel less alone. i usually cry every night because of it. or i’ll feel numb, in which case i’ll listen to married life from up, the one with thunder over the top you can find it on youtube just to make me feel something.

    it’s a horrible feeling, but do you get that lonely feeling when you wake up early in the morning?

  • I have a few habits, and I track them in daily notebook. My daily routine goes
    1. Drink Tea/coffee when I first wake up
    2. Walk 30-45 minutes down the road and around the park, then back home. This can be substituted by mowing the grass, or if you play sports that day or whatever. As long as it’s a moderate or higher intensity of cardio. If you’re building muscle on a calorie deficit, then intense cardio for long periods of time will cause you to lose muscle.
    3. My workout days I eat 4 meals 500-600 calories each. 10Amprotein or complex carb (eggs, chicken, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, whole grain oatmeal, sweet potato) 2pm-Protein shake 4pmprotein shake 6pm protein
    4. I drink a bottle of water before and after every meal, and take my vitamins between my 1st and second meal.
    5. My non workout days, I eat 3 500-600 calorie meals. 12Noonprotein 3pm-protein 6pm-protein.
    6. My workout days are 3x a week at home. 9 movements, 3 for each day. With my main compound movements on different days. Squat, bench, deadlift are the main. Bent over row, curls, sit ups, push ups, pull ups, overhead press are the others.
    Every week I alternate from working on endurance/muscle size by doing 20-24 reps and adding at least 1 more rep until I reach 24 reps, then add weight.
    The next week, I work on strength by doing 10-12 reps.
    When you get your form and stability down you can work on true strength by doing 5-6 reps.
    7. For sleep. I consume no stimulants (caffeine) after 12 noon. No drinking of anything after 7pm. I’ve been woken up too many times from having to pee.
    Your sleep works in 90 minute cycles. You basically waste a whole sleep cycle if you wake up during that cycle.
    8. I keep a fan blowing air to keep the area cool, and to cover up any noises that might interfere with your sleep. You can use ear plugs and a mask to block out light too. Blue light is bad for sleep.
    9. Lights out and laying down by 9pm. No phone, tv by 11pm.
    10. And I’ve heard somewhere that every hour of sleep before midnight is like 2x as valuable as an hour after midnight. So the earlier the better. If I could be asleep by 8pm and up by 6am every day I would do that. Sleep makes you much more mentally alert, very good for your mood, and your body repairs itself and releases growth hormones during sleep that are very important for building muscle. So if you’ve put in that work and energy lifting weights, then sleep is going to help you maximize your gains.
    11. You can have a cheat day once a week from your diet. For special occasions and being with friends/family. Just don’t over do it, and you can make it one or two cheat meals, instead of the whole day. That way you can skip a meal if your calories went too high.

  • excellent advice. the meditation practices (we do twice, in the am and at sundown, to greet the sun and energy (and chakra balancing after sleep to prepare for the moving in awake state, and sundown, to bless and release the day and start the new one, which starts with dreaming it into being, bringing that sun energy inside to balance, clean and regenerate inside during the moon time through the night, ar hyd y nos (Welsh, a beautiful song about that…) ).   • I want my parents to live a long life but they aren’t living the healthiest life style. My dad doesn’t have time to hit the gym because he goes to work everyday in the city until late and doesn’t have time to things like that. He also has trouble with sleeping and has many injuries that he plays off a lot when he is playing basketball with me. I want him to eat healthy and get his weight down a bit so he can move a long healthy life but idk how to tell him. Same with my mom she has diabetes and i want to help her get healthy to but I just don’t know how to tell them or help them make changes.   • I can also recommend sitting less and if you can’t, then make sure that you vary your sitting position (legs-up-back-straight, squat etc.).
    I could not touch my toes. That’s how stiff I used to be. I tried stretching exercises and I got more flexible in many ways, but I still struggled a lot getting to my toes. The reason was, that I was sitting in school, later at work, then in the car, at home etc. and my body was used to that position way more than the natural position.

People on this planet lacked all intelligence, even healthy people can get sick and die or get into an accident or end up murdered. It’s pure luck and what people fail to understand here is that the older you get the harder it is to do things. I live with elderly people, what takes me a minute in walking takes them forever. I could literally run circles around the elderly. People who are super healthy fail to see the big picture. Even if you do make it to elderly age you’re still going to pass away. Death and the cemetery do not care about how many vegetables you ate or how much you worked out. When your time is up, that’s it. I wish I had lived on a planet with smart people who saw this place for what it is. Humans here are no different from the animals and bugs who die daily, this placed equaled a death pit like it does for all of the cock roaches that become exterminated. Death and the cemetery don’t care about what you did or did not do, nor does death and the cemetery care about the kind of house you lived in or how much money you put into the bank. We were all here to end up at the cemetery like every generation before.

  • I absolutely HATE cheat days. They make me feel guilty and get off track. Currently trying out to listen to my body and not my mind when it comes to what and when I eat, and I really prefer “cheat meals” once in a while. But honestly, I rather have a rest day (from exercise) and let my body recover whilst getting all the nutrients in instead of eating junk.

  • Okay but for real. I love making my bed. It does help me feel more motivated at the start of my day. Plus I journal in my bed so having a neat space to plan my day and journal whatever my feelings are is nice.
    I’m also 8 months (almost 9 ��) pregnant so I come back to my bed often and not getting under the covers or snuggling up makes it easier to not screw day up with a nap. ��

  • You do not need to waste paper by buying a planner. There are apps for your phone that helps you record your water intake, calories intake and intermittent fasting apps that help you regulate how much you eat in a day.

  • Small tip that hopefully can help someone outdon’t chug your water, sip it!! When you chug your water it causes it to go right to your bladder so you pee it out. Your skin is your largest organ but it’s the last place for your water to reach. When you sip your water it’ll give the water a chance to get through your system and reach your skin. So try your best to gradually sip on your water. It can be hard for me to drink a lot of it so I used to resort to chugging it to get it over with but trust me it makes a HUGE difference and it truly changes the game m.

  • giiirl, I am doing the same:D (Since may) I changed my habits to feel better and be happier in my life. I got through a lot and was loosing a control of myself and everything around me.

    My 10 habits:

    1 started drinking a lot more water
    2 changed my diet cut bad sugar, eat more vegetable, minimum fried food
    3 do YOGA WITH ADRIENE ( I recognised the moves and I thought ”yep, that’s her yoga challenge”:D
    4 following Chloe Ting’s workout
    5 started studying a new language
    6 sleep at least 7 hours a day
    7 look after my mental health
    8 have that ”yes attitude”
    9 be positive about changes and new challenges and people in my life
    10 be present stop stressing what if ( as a person suffering from anxiety this was very difficult)
