Apologies, ’tis story time >.< I had began typing and before I knew it I'd written a lot more than I meant to.I am incredibly lucky (blessed, even), I have a special breed of husband who already knows all the key points of this video (plus many more) and makes it a point to let me relax as often as possible (not just on Mother’s Day:) ). He truly gets bothered and flustered when he encounters another husband who doesn’t bend over backwards for their wife, he says he cannot comprehend how/why they don’t all “worship” their wives.He does the cooking (unless of course I want to make my stew, meatloaf, or tacos), the dishes, the yard work, bills, the laundry….actually…he won’t let me near the washer/dryer as the few times that I did laundry in the beginning of our marriage (well over a decade ago) it was utter chaos (to say my upbringing was severely lacking in “housework tutelage” is an understatement). How was I supposed to know to separate the colors? I never had to before and nothing of mine ever bled on to anything I owned, then all of a sudden a red t-shirt I’d had for ages decided to spread itself to his socks/undershirts. I was certainly surprised by it. And why did they make the drum so big in the top-loading washer if you can’t fill it literally to the brim with clothing? I figured I’d wash more in one cycle and save time, I didn’t expect the belt to break. And I purposely used an entire cup of softener on the blankets/sheets. I wanted all of those things soft and it made sense to add more softener…except I didn’t realize that his jeans really carried and multiplied that fresh Downy scent.After encountering my many lapses in laundry, disorganization during dinner and bumbles with breakfast during our first years, rather than have me fix any mistakes each time he said, “Here honey, let me take care of it. You go lay on the couch, I know the kids were hard on you today.” Nowadays, despite learning proper laundry care and going through How to Make Dinner and Not Burn Down Your House 101, he still gladly takes care of both chores (among others). I could do them if I wanted to, but he looks so happy as he’s hanging shirts up…

Yessss, I want all of those things and a good dinner that I didn’t have to make, a clean apartment, and for my husband to have done everything without the assistance of his mother who doesn’t seem to know how to follow the few rules I give her like not babying him 24/7 when she is around, letting him watch a whole show without calling his name a million times, or my favorite feeding him pounds and pounds of candy and junk at her will. I don’t mind a little noise because if it were quiet than I would be paranoid that he fell asleep downstairs and let him run around without watching him. You definitely hit the nail on the head with this video.

Apologies, ’tis story time >.< I had began typing and before I knew it I'd written a lot more than I meant to.I am incredibly lucky (blessed, even), I have a special breed of husband who already knows all the key points of this video (plus many more) and makes it a point to let me relax as often as possible (not just on Mother’s Day:) ). He truly gets bothered and flustered when he encounters another husband who doesn’t bend over backwards for their wife, he says he cannot comprehend how/why they don’t all “worship” their wives.He does the cooking (unless of course I want to make my stew, meatloaf, or tacos), the dishes, the yard work, bills, the laundry….actually…he won’t let me near the washer/dryer as the few times that I did laundry in the beginning of our marriage (well over a decade ago) it was utter chaos (to say my upbringing was severely lacking in “housework tutelage” is an understatement). How was I supposed to know to separate the colors? I never had to before and nothing of mine ever bled on to anything I owned, then all of a sudden a red t-shirt I’d had for ages decided to spread itself to his socks/undershirts. I was certainly surprised by it. And why did they make the drum so big in the top-loading washer if you can’t fill it literally to the brim with clothing? I figured I’d wash more in one cycle and save time, I didn’t expect the belt to break. And I purposely used an entire cup of softener on the blankets/sheets. I wanted all of those things soft and it made sense to add more softener…except I didn’t realize that his jeans really carried and multiplied that fresh Downy scent.After encountering my many lapses in laundry, disorganization during dinner and bumbles with breakfast during our first years, rather than have me fix any mistakes each time he said, “Here honey, let me take care of it. You go lay on the couch, I know the kids were hard on you today.” Nowadays, despite learning proper laundry care and going through How to Make Dinner and Not Burn Down Your House 101, he still gladly takes care of both chores (among others). I could do them if I wanted to, but he looks so happy as he’s hanging shirts up…
Still interesting to see this channel showing unequal division of labor, with the moms doing everything, and the incompetent dads not putting in their share, while rarely commenting on this inequity. But cute videos!!

This is how I make mimosas.
1 bottle of cheap sparkling wine
1 tube of orange juice concentrate
1/2 bottle of vodka
3 shots of strawberry liqueur.
I got tired of having to drink 3-4 mimosas to catch a buzz.

all i wanted for my first mothers day ever was a tummy massage and a movie we could cuddle up with. what i got was a coffee cup i said i wanted like a year ago and reese cups and then he watched his fishing show. Thats it! Are you serious? Oh and my mother spent her mothers day with my sister and didnt even want to talk to me. Why dont people just ask what we want so were not so disappointed. Yessss, I want all of those things and a good dinner that I didn’t have to make, a clean apartment, and for my husband to have done everything without the assistance of his mother who doesn’t seem to know how to follow the few rules I give her like not babying him 24/7 when she is around, letting him watch a whole show without calling his name a million times, or my favorite feeding him pounds and pounds of candy and junk at her will. I don’t mind a little noise because if it were quiet than I would be paranoid that he fell asleep downstairs and let him run around without watching him. You definitely hit the nail on the head with this video.

My husband actually DID let me sleep in!!! And he cleaned the house and made me breakfast. He asked me a week before mother’s day what I wanted and I told him all I want to do is sleep in and have breakfast made for me and maybe clean the house. I have the best husband in the world because he did everything that I asked and even took me bowling LOL
