Gluten-Free and Vegan Sweet Potato Waffles: When I first bought a waffle iron to make these vegan waffles, I didn’t think that I will be making waffles as often as I do now and especially the variety of waffles I have made all these years.. I believed that the waffle iron like few other of my kitchen appliances will be. This bowl starts with our quick-sautéed 8-minute sweet potatoes!

  • Hi Kiki, Love this! I bought the book by Dr. McDougall, “The Healthiest Diet on the Planet” and will order your cookbook when it comes out in hardcopy. On a second note, can you please let me know the brand, model of your faucet on your kitchen sink and where you bought it? We are remodeling our kitchen and I had a faucet in mind, but like yours better? Cheers, Cindi

  • Hi, thanks so much for this videos. I just subscribed because I just found you today!! I was wondering where you get the thing that you place the steaming basket on? It sits under the steaming basket on the pot. Thanks! (Nevermind, I see the link) lol

  • UGH!! I am so hungry now since you made delicious sweet potato waffles!! My stomach is growling!

But seriously, Kara, you’re very creative. I like how you are creative with those food that I never thought about it. Can I do combo of organic blueberries and sweet potatoes together for waffles?:)

  • I just made this and it was DELICIOUS!!! Thank you so much for posting. This was my first time eating kale and thanks to you it was a great experience.

  • My mom is from the Netherlands. They mash up kale, spinach, or carrots with potatoes all the time. I think that’s how as kids our pallets were trained to enjoy vegetables. Of course she also poured grease from whatever meat she was roasting which I don’t do as a WFPB. But yes, kale and potatoes are a great combination. (I’m so happy I discovered your channel. Really getting good ideas for some WFPB meals.)

  • Just found your channel! Love it keep up the good work:) trying to make the switch to starch diet gradually but keep taking 2 steps forward one step back…

  • This was so delicious. I used Just Egg (added pepper and black salt for it to be seasoned) to make it vegan and used veggie stock in place of the water. So yummy thank you!

  • I think it’s really important to buy organic for us. Kale hurts my stomach I’ll have to do spinach. I’ve been vegan for 12 years….best decision ever. Thanks for sharing your ideas

  • I made the sweet potato waffle this morning with the banana topping. Oh my goodness! I am blown away!
Did it replace a waffle? No, but it was sooooooooo good!! I used to eat savory waffles but this waffle is amazing!
It will become a good to for me!

Thank you sooooo much for these recipes and videos!
I am just starting my journey with the starch solution. So I am grateful for this!

  • This is very random, but I recently got Sicilian Lemon balsamic, it’s the best vinegar I’ve ever tried. Goes perfectly in the maple-mustard combo. I’ve even mixed it with maple syrup for pancakes. There’s a local store here called buona cucina, they also do online sales. Best stuff ever.

  • Looked very professional and well done. I would love to try the recipe but considering how bad i am at cooking i would probably end up making a huge mess lol

  • Shout out to Eline healthy attitude to weight loss..I am healthy, BMI normal. The rest for me would be vanity. sorry about typeface. I needed to lose 40 lbs and did just by wfpb; 64 no photos of ripped abs. In real relationships not a requirement.

  • Hello Dear,
I am so happy to see your success history. I am vegan since 5 years ago and I am struggling with my weight. Do you know if what u r doing can help me? Because I have insulin resistance. I will appreciate a lot if you can reply. I know you have recently done a book and if the answer is yes, I would be happy to buy it because I need to lose weight.
    Thank you so much.

  • Question: so on the placemat picture you showed… are you supposed to do fruit separate serving or is it considered as part of your non starchy veggies like it’s shown in the picture? And let’s talk about the plate size lol this is super picky but I am curious. Lol

  • I just came across your channel and Love it because you make the recipes very simple and easy to do. Thanks can’t wait to see more episodes.

  • hi thanks a lot for your videos. i have learned a lot in a short space of time. i really wanted to ask about your relationship with water. i weigh 90kg and i drink 4 litres of water a day. i read somewhere that i needed to drink just a little less than 3 litres of water and a little more if im active. so thats how i ended up at 4 litres. so because of all this water i drink i end up eating only once a day and never eat my fruits because im always full with water. i never meant to fast. what would you advise…..

and also why do you peel off your cucumber? lots of love

  • Yummy yummy yummmmm! Simple and delicious…I tried the breakfast this morning! I just found your channel…my starch solution book arrives today…so excited for this new journey!

  • I get wicked bad night time cravings. Any Ideas? I saw your banana chocolate ice-cream. I will try that for sure. I am not big on ice-cream but pudding or greek yogurt consistency stuff. Anyways. Love your channel. I like that everything seems simple. I am not standing in the kitchen all day chopping stuff. Not gonna happen. Your awesome:) I am still a beginner I put on 5lbs cause I am heavy on the carb stuff but that is because I hate chopping things or dragging out my appliances. I want easy peasy:)

  • Just found you… love your positive attitude and encouragement. Can’t wait to give your receipts some try. Thanks for sharing your experience!

  • Kiki, thank you so much for these great videos. I need some suggestions please! I’ve been doing this WOE for about a month and I just bounce back and forth between about 3-4 lbs. I’ve been doing the 50/50 plate and I am getting discouraged. I am 67 and lost over 70 lbs doing KETO. Then we had a family tragedy and I gained about 20 lbs back, eating my grief. I realize that KETO was not a long term solution and I feel better about the WFPB WOE. Is it possible I’m eating too much fruit? I’m not eating avocados or nuts and stay away from oils and sugar. Please give me some suggestions. I don’t want to get so discouraged that I just start eating out of control. Thank you so much for these videos! I really enjoy them. You are a sweet lady! <3
