  • Sutan was off to a great start almost immediately. That little episode of her and the lemon gave me cause to darn near fall out of my chair because I was laughing so hard! The look on her face was the most priceless thing I have seen in a long time! Then tossing it into the sink and wayving bye-bye was all it took! I had to stop the video several times and play that part over before I could continue. Watch out or she will become the star of the show! LOL

This recipe is slightly different that mine. You use tofu in the mix. I’ve not seen done previously. I’ve also never seen tumeric in the recipe so this will be an interesting change. I think this will be the special for our weekly dinner party this evening.

I use panko bread crumbs instead of regular or flavored ones. When I want something with a bit more flavor I put some finely chopped Thai peppers into the mix before making the patties. I still leave the chopped onions in but, I use the red ones for more flavor.

I steam the hambagu with water as you do. However, on occasion, I pour in some saki and finish steaming it with that. It really adds to the flavor and the alcohol burns right off. Although, since my youngest is 32 years old it’s not much of an issue. LOL In addition, I have found that Tonkatsu sauce works well as a substitute for Panzu sauce. I’ve even used my spicy Teriyaki sauce on occasion, too.

Sutan has learned a new word and is having fun with it! I know I was enjoying watching her repeat oishi over and over and over. Obviously, you were happy with her efforts, too. She certainly has a fantastic mother. I think that I speak for us all when I say that we are going to have a wonderful time watching Sutan grow up with you as her guide.

  • This is interesting how you make it!! My host mom’s recipe had me mixing pork and beef instead of beef and tofu. And instead of ponzu, she used demiglace sauce. I remember it being my favourite food I tried in Japan along with TanTan Ramen I wonder how you would make TanTanmen?

  • I would love to see how to make Nikuman and Ramen. This would be awesome. I hope you can show someday in your channel. Thank you in advance.

  • If you want to get the air out of a mixture, tap or pat the air out. The tip about looking to see if the juice is clear is very useful. This little girl is a genius. she’ll be taking over before you know it. The subtitles seem very good and the number of translation options is impressive. The English instructions are also very clear. This channel… it’s kind of rad.

  • Ok this was disappointing. 14 through 10 were basically 2 recipes in varied ways. Then 2 of the recipes weren’t even dinners, they were a dessert. So basically you advertised 14 budget dinners and really only gave me 7. ‍♀️

  • I loved the seriously weird carny music that came with the bacon avocado. Most of these I couldn’t make but watching this channel just puts that smile back on my face. My favourite channel for sure.

  • Hey you, checking out the comments! I hope you & yours are having a safe, healthy & happy #GoodFriday!! Blessings to you & yours!!

  • That lemon look! Priceless. LOL! Sutan is developing the good looks of her mom. Compliments. BTW, I was born in Hamburg, so I am a Hamburger and sugar, lemon juice, soy sauce, tumeric etc. are definitely strange in that mixture. Interesting variation of an old acquaintance.

  • DO NOT DO THAT FIRST HACK!!! Putting parchment paper like that can trap batter, which means there’s going to be raw batter in whatever you’re doing

  • I just tried it, but without tofu (in Poland I can’t find any good one just horrible a la tofu things in my area) but I just used some fresh bread crumbs, and I think it worked.
The texture was so much different that what I was used to make. Not dry at all <3
    Thank you so much!

  • To the person reading this: you are not alone, you are blessed with good friends and family, you and your parents live long for 100 years….

  • Can I ask something please, If the Dashi isn’t available in my country so can I just replace it with something else or not?

  • Sutan is so kawaii and always makes me smile. I enjoy your videos and am happy to watch your channel and English progress. The artwork is very nice and the written recipe is helpful. Good idea on the new camera angle to show your view before the first bite. It feels like I’m apart of the experience and am about to taste the food myself. I am also pleased to see your patience, respect, and treatment towards your adorable daughter. Arigato gazaimas on the consistent and quality content!❤️

  • Never mind that we are supposed to be isolating ourselves from everyone who doesn’t live in out home unless absolutely necessary…including family. Let’s cook for everyone

  • I’m always nervous about using latex balloons in making creative edibles. Increasing numbers of folks have latex allergies. One bite could mean a trip to the hospital. Yikes,

  • I’ve got an inkling that this recipe is from the USA…why? Sugar poison!..Why oh why do you need so much SUGAR in EVERYTHING! Try a bit of honey, natural and nutritious….or at least unrefined sugar…

  • One of the reasons I love these presentations is that some of the projects are desirable and achievable, some are achievable with enough time and effort, and some are pure fantasy. I loved the fried egg chick!

  • This channel is for kids yet adults‍♂️‍♀️ love it more. Coz children cant cook or try these ideas but adults can!.I am 11 and i love this channel.

  • No matter what they say, beauty and traditions, as well as traditional roles, including housewifing, will always be attractive and somewhat magical.

  • Before throwing away the lemon, Sutan was looking at you, trying to see if any hints you would angry with her throwing out. She is so smart!

  • Mama giving her kid a slice of a lemon without warning, haha I love Sutan’s reaction… she’s the cutest thing. Also I gotta start trying out some of these dishes damn

  • 美味しそう i will try to cook next time when i can fly back to Japan to see my husband again. Thank you and can’t wait for next week!!!

  • I’m a vegetarian but I came here to hear Sutan say “oishii” again. Then she started singing “oishii!” and my heart just melted!!! She’s so precious!!! And Moe is such a good Mum!!

  • At 1:06 please make a Break. That look between you and your daughter… As if you were speaking to her via thought transfer. “Yes Sutan a lemon can be very sour”
