  • This came out excellent, even without any measurements. Surely a cooking video made for men with minimal instructions and a minute and a half video for two dishes. Unbelievable flavor.

  • Can somebody please help me? How did he get his marinade so liquidy? When I stirred my marinade it was very dry. The only different thing I did was substitute coriander seeds for coriander powder because I don’t have seeds. Do you think this is the reason why it didn’t work out? Thanks so much

  • These mashed sweet potatoes are so delicious… I’ve made this dish so many times for thanksgiving. My friends and family loves them

  • So funny sitting up there teasing us my stomach’s in a pig rounding and her faster but I’m holding my bounds though love laughing and you look nice you did a good job girl you always do a good job I’ll be laughing too sometime

  • If you make this, don’t use undiluted chicken stock or the potatoes become damn salty even if you don’t add salt. And if your pork chops are not super thick, you don’t need to put it in the oven, or it will be dry.

  • Some say olive oil isnt the best oil for high temperature cooking.
Gordon uses it for everything it seems.
    Should it be unrefined/virgin/extra/what?

  • Gordon doesnt have time to watch youtube, yet he knows exactly what we fucking want… quick easy… didnt skip any steps… didnt add his fucking story about he woke up this morning and bought a paper from the local market or some bull shit. HE CUTS THE BULLSHIT. Perfection.

  • People have a right to thumbs down. We are not communist. But Gina is one of my favorite Youtubers. I have used her recipes. Stop worrying about haters and give her thumbs up and support her channel.

  • Me:*watches this and forgets to turn off Bluetooth*
    Mom:*hears*
    Mom:what the
mom:*goes to my bedroom and looks at my screen* ohhhhhhh

  • Music: Yeah, Girl, late at night you know you want me to make you some of them smooth, smooth sweet potatoes. Mmm. Spreading that creamy goodness on a plate just for you. You know you want it.

  • Good day buddy. This is a very interesting video that we will like to share on Dangi Foods social media network in our bid to making potato a staple here in Nigeria.

We seek your express permission to do so. Many thanks in anticipation of your approval

  • I was with her under the brown sugar. 1/2 cup? I put that much into a whole cake. That being said, might try this recipe without the sugar and with maybe roaster sweet potatoes, why not

  • I made the chicken for my family tonight. They enjoyed it very much. I made mine without cayenne pepper and substituted the fresh parsley with fresh coriander. Thanks from Connecticut.

  • Good day. We run a food processing company here in Nigeria. We seek your permission to share this video on our social media networks as it will help promote this diet in our country. This will benefit us a whole lot. We await your express approval. Many thanks

  • would never have thought bananas and orange going together with sweet potatoes. but i will try it. seems delicious what i saw. thanks for posting.

  • Banana and chicken stock?…sorry just no. I use either brown sugar or maple syrup, butter, heavy cream, salt and pepper. That’s it. Oh and some cinnamon. I promise you its sooo good!

  • I don’t believe Rachael really enjoys cooking. She might as well have added puréed hot dogs & hamburgers too. What did this chick smoke before they started filming?

  • Steam those sweet potatoes in a pressure cooker. Use handmixer to whip those sweet potatoes into shape. Then sprinkle brown sugar or drizzle maple syrup on top with some butter. No brown sugar in the potatoes at all.

  • Hi hope you are having a great day that meal looks wonderful and I see you are really enjoying it more recipes for me to try ii I am going to try to find your Maggie forgot the name of the seasoning this is one of the most colorful meals I’ve seen in a while love you girlfriend

  • OMG!!! This recipe, as vague as it is, if you follow the many clues you will go NUTS over how completely delicious this combination of flavors and textures really delivers in the end!!!!!! I am not a great cook, call me a novice at best, I followed Ramsey’s sentiment of where he was going and right off the bat..AN INCREDIBLE home run…ON MY FIRST TIME EVER COOKING PORK….and I am 62 years old!!!
I really hope a lot of people will give this a try!!!
As far as I am concerned, Gordon Ramsey is Chef par Excellence!!!’ He really knows flavors combined with textures right down to the dime!!! My opinion, he is the GREATEST CHEF in modern times!!’ THANK YOU RAMSEY!!!!!! Thank

  • I’ve been making mashed sweet potatoes since I was 11. I’ve always hated sweet potatoes because I don’t like the whole sweet aspect of them and everybody always wants to add sugar and gross things to it. I make the best mashed sweet potatoes just buy cooking them and chicken stock then you strain them and mash them with some butter and cream cheese and throw some bacon bits in there. It’s the best thing ever. Even my boyfriend who is 44 who has refused to eat anything sweet potato in the last 10 years loves my sweet potatoes. The key is to treat them like normal potatoes and when you have to add any kind of water or boil them always use chicken broth or beef broth or vegetable broth it makes them rich without making them taste like candy which to me is disgusting. I refuse to add any kind of sweetness especially sugar to sweet potatoes. I’m not going to pour chocolate sauce on top of steak so why would I add sugar to potatoes

  • What’s the name of the spice between the paprika and salt?
    Black pepper, paprika,????, salt.
I couldn’t get that no matter how many times I watched this video. Can anyone write it down please?

  • FYI you can definitely tell there is banana in there. It’s not a bad thing, it tastes good, but you can instantly identify it and it might not pair well with your main course.

  • You have the best cooking show ever hands down. I love the fact that you travel now and put a spin on their dishes. And shout out to your camera n sound crew plus editor. Well down by you n your crew. Looking forward to a new series

  • I would season the chicken with a Knorr chicken stock cube but still use the spices, garlic, onion, herb, tomato purée, and lemon.

  • I love Rachel so much but this sweet potato recipe is very new sugar and soup!!! And I didn’t see end of recipe… OK… Sure it looks a delicious dish

  • I love Jamie but I’ve never forgiven him for the day he literally came to my school and took away all the tasty food, he left us with nothing but diet food, I want my Chocolate and cakes back, I left school 10 years ago but it still hurts

  • Good day. We run a food processing company here in Nigeria. We seek your permission to share this video on our social media networks as it will help promote this diet in our country. This will benefit us a whole lot. We await your express approval. Many thanks.

  • Omg its awesome definitely going to learn cooking and become a cook:) ( halfway there just need to understand the different ingredients and how they work)

  • this is a lot helpful for me as a cullinary student here in Philippines but I have a little request to my favorite Chef Jamie can you put all the ingredients? please.. so that I can practice and presents your recipes.. thanks a lot.

  • I tried this exact recipe myself and pretty much copied everything he did in the video. Even though I forgot the tomato puree, it turned out great. Absolutely exploding with flavor. I had always been apprehensive about cooking chicken on high heat, but if you dress the chicken with olive oil first and don’t put any oil in the pan, the chicken cooks fast and is tender and moist

  • You can never convince me that tiny pinch of salt is enough to season that whole chicken breast. Idk what it is about European chefs but I always notice they use the smallest amount of salt. Pay attention to the salt application on any of Jamie’s videos or really anyone on food tube like Donal Skehan or the food busker. Never seems like enough salt to me. If u watch American chefs like food wishes or matty Matheson (Canadian) seriously use double the amount of salt European chefs do. I think I’m going crazy cuz I can never find any comments on how jamie doesn’t use enough salt

  • Good day buddy. This is a very interesting video that we will like to share on Dangi Foods social media network in our bid to making potato a staple here in Nigeria.

We seek your express permission to do so. Many thanks in anticipation of your approval

  • Wowww this is sooo good! Just made it, eating it right now. I LOVE this recipe! I’ve always disliked the cinnamon and/or brown sugar version of mashed sweet potatoes. I used to think I just don’t like sweet potatoes then. So I can’t believe right now, for the first time I’m enjoying these mashed sweet potatoes! The garlic, parm, sour cream add such fantastic flavor. I feel more like I’m eating regular mashed potatoes this way. I just don’t like sweet things in general, so I’m so happy I found this recipe.

  • I really enjoy how you describe the why part, many other chef just tell you do this but you go further. It made me a better chef. cheeeeers

  • Skip cutting, we know how hard that is if your hands hurt from old age. Steam whole till tender and add the rest and mix. Can’t tell the difference

  • Simple, easy, directo to the point. I really enjoyed the non-condescending way you explain everything. Very approachable for beginners like me. Thanks

  • Thank you for great videos:)
I would like to know tips for cooking for many people. Daily I cook for 2-3, but when it comes to cooking for 8-10 people, I stressed out sometimes. Kitchen suddenly becomes too small and sink piles up so fast…

  • I could hug this guy-he’s definitely passionate about food, makes me trust him. While I love brown sugar, I’ve had good luck with honey or maple syrup-a drizzle at a time, otherwise the rest of the seasonings are what I’ve been missing from my mashed sweet potatoes-thank you!

  • The recipe it’s delicious
To add the banana was fabulous
I didn’t add the orange zest just the juice and used coconut sugar instead brown sugar and sprinkle some chives at the end. Love it
    I definitely will do again
    Thank you x

  • This looks soo delicious! Do the steamer baskets come in different sizes? I guesstimated your pot to be about 10″ wide, mine is larger. I will try this, thanks.

  • Ya know what? Add a few lightbulbs to the pot. Mash ‘em up real nice. You’re not gonna taste ’em. No one’s gonna know. Just go ahead and add ‘em. Give the dish some texture!

  • Gordon:

    Hot pan. OLIVE OIL.
    Pork chop. OLIVE OIL.
    Spices. OLIVE OIL.
    Sweet potato. OLIVE OIL.

OLIVE OIL with pork and olive oiled sweet potato?

    DONE.

  • Why steam them and not roast them? It dries them out more and makes them want to absorb more fat and make them more creamy and taste better

  • thanks Gina, once again. You are an amazing person. I always feel happier and blessed after watching your videos. You are so bubbly, and smiling all the time. Just love the prayers. Take care. your new home looks beautiful.

  • What is wrong with these people who give him thumbs down? How could anyone give this man a bad review? You’re Awesome Thomas.

  • I vote for roasting them. Adds a nice depth to offset the sweetness of the potatoes. And NO marshmallows, please! Toasted, buttered and salted pecans on top…yes!

  • Made your cube steak and gravy for dinner and it was so delicious. In fact so good that I am trying this too. My chicken I is in the oven now. It is 1030 pm but I couldn’t wait to try this too. Thank you so much.

  • Thank you for keeping this simple I ran into one vid where the guy forbid boiling the sweet potatoes because he said they would be too watery. But your method was just fine

  • Hi Gina,
So glad I found your channel. I normally hate cooking because I didn’t know what I was doing, but I am enjoying cooking your recipes! But where do I buy this Maggie Pollo?

  • I remember about 17 or so years ago I tried baking a whole chicken. I don’t remember coating the outside with butter and it’s a good thing that I didn’t because the outside was getting done way faster than the inside. I actually had to throw it away because if i cooked it any longer the skin on the outside would have burned and the inside was still practically raw. I consider myself a good cook (much better now than then but I was decent back in those days). I still don’t know what I did wrong and to this day I have never tried baking a whole chicken again.

  • Gina Young you have a fan. When i want to know how to make something i just check with you first. Happy holidays to you and your family!!!

  • I describe to your channel you and my mom show me a lot of ways to cook really tasty good keep cooking put a smile on my face love your shows.

  • Mrs Gina
What store do you get the sazon dose Walmart have it cos I want to try it. And I look at Walmart but couldn’t fine it. So will it be where the spices are or the Mexican area

  • Miss Gina…I’m so mad at you!!! I can’t cook. I’ve been watching & saving your videos. I just watched you make smashed sweet potatoes & an oven roasted chicken. I so wanna make that. I’m serious when I say I can’t cook. I pay attention to one dish at a time. If I was making them all at the same time, I’m telling you, my kids & my neighbors would be calling in the men with the white coats to take me away. I have no patience. I’m so serious! So I’m gonna push forward & start trying your recipes. Oh, I said I was mad at you because I went to your “about” section on your page…Hilliard Ohio…really? I live between you & Dayton. Used to live in Canal Winchester. But I was like, you’re so close. I told my, sometimes husband, that I had found a couple of places in Dayton that gave cooking classes & we could make it a date night, (he’s from D.C. & can throw down in the kitchen…1/2 the stuff I’ve never heard of but same goes for him, most of what I cook, he’s never heard of). You should give cooking classes, you shouldn’t keep all this to yourself. I guarantee I’ll follow your recipe to the T & I’ll still mess it up. Keep on doing what you’re doing neighbor & know that I watch your videos as if they are one of the “stories” my grandmother used to watch.

  • Your mukbang showed up in my feed, and I must say you look and sound like Jill Scott!!!! Beautiful!!!! Looking forward to seeing more meals.

  • Mrs. Gina I am 62 and cooking for me is like my passion. Two years ago I became disabled and my life totally changed. I have a severe head trama and had to learn to walk and write again but I never became stable in my walking and had to use a walker. I became very depressed because I was unable to stand or move around the kitchen to prepare meals. I was also unable to Drive as well. I was in the hospital for 3 months and my first year I was in and out of the hospital 8 times and my last stay my Dr sent me to a rehab center it was a new place. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. They helped me with some great things such as cooking but in a different way
