WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS: While we think of oats mostly as part of a wholesome breakfast, oat berries—whole oats that have been hulled and cleaned—have great flavor and a satisfying chew.

  • Question please. When you’re prepping your egg sandwiches 2 you put 2 eggs in at a time for the 45 sec or do you do one at a time. I’ve got the microwave egg cookers and instant pot ordered so I’m excited to get going. Thanks love your videos

  • That is some beautiful oatmeal, Alla. You have the most beautiful eyes, the sweetest voice, and the cutest smile. What did you enjoy about making oatmeal?

  • Ps quick question. I bough the microwave egg cooker thingamajig. Lolol live it but do your eggs kind of explode while cooking lolol

  • I was wondering, for the sake of doing this on a budget around here, can we use fat free regular milk or is there a reason these are done with nut milks?

  • If you cook the oatmeal,it’s going to loose all the nutrients you’re supposed to get from them. The better way is to merly heat some water and pour it onto them and then, add some frozen berries that you previously left to thaw

  • would love to try this I have these organic regular oats, will these work? If so would it be the same microwave time 1 min then stir add another 30 seconds

  • I’ve used Quaker Granola Oats, Honey, Almonds & Raisins cereal over the past few years most every day. It is still better than any other cereal out there, but I have seen it deteriorate in quality over these years. As the dollar gets watered down by the Federal Reserve, cost of all items increase. So Quaker has to either increase the price for this product or lessen the quality. They have chosen to lessen the quality. And I don’t blame them since charging over $5 a box would probably scare a lot of people away (presently it is $4.50 elsewhere). But I finally got weary of the decline and looked for some alternatives. I found “Overnight Oats”, tried it out, and I’m amazed! I can add anything I want, I know what is going into it, it is extremely easy to make, and tastes great. And the big thing I don’t need to add any sugar at all! I was amazed. Anytime I made oatmeal I had to dump a ton of sugar on it just to choke it down. But not with overnight oats.

  • I love over night oats… I put 0% fat free yogurt instead of the liquid… i use bananas as they are really sweet and I don’t need to add sweetener to it.. then depending what I have, I use… pineapple, blueberries, strawberries… and it’s all ready for when I get up.. I enjoy it cold.. might just pop it in the microwave one morning to see if I like… love your video.. please keep them coming…xx

  • Really like it and will definitely try this. I love oatmeal and usually eat it warm but keen on learning to get used to cold oatmeals on warmer days. Thank you for sharing

  • I love the overnight oats. I made it last week with raspberries and a few drops of stevia. This week I made them with blueberries. It tastes like dessert for breakfast. Thanks

  • Question… Do I eat this out of the jar cold? Do I need to microwave before I can eat it? I really like this easy breakfast recipe. I am going to have to try it soon. Thank you

  • I started Exercising today, from my Wheelchair. I do 30 Minutes of Cardio, and 4 Sets of 12 Reps with an 8 lb. Dumbbell. The Dumbbell Workout takes me about 30 Minutes to complete. So, I’m Exercising for about 1 Hour each day.

  • I love the idea of using frozen berries in oatmeal. I’m always trying to add fruit to my oatmeal, but never thought of frozen. Looks delicious!

  • Catherine, thanks for sharing this recipe. This is my every day breakfast, but i change the fruit every day. Sometimes i add berries, like you, bananas other day, apples with cinnamon, depending on the fruit i have on hand in that moment. One question Catherine, do you like to use stevia instead of maple or honey sometimes? Thanks in advance!
Today, i will be making one of your chicken soups that you have in your cookbooks and one of my favourites, ” Cold Soba Noddles”, i know, it´s one of your favourite ones too.

    Happy day!!!

    Patricia.

  • Looks like a simple delicious recipe and a little different than most overnight oats I’ve seen and that’s a great thing! How much milk to water?

  • Going to give these oats a try. My question you showed in the video using 1/2 cup water and 1/2 almond milk but on the screen at the end you show 1/4 cup almond milk and 1/4 cup water. Which is better to use. Thanks.

  • I have to try this for sure! Do you heat it up when you take it out to eat? ( no need to answer scrolled and saw same question answered ) lol. I always type as I’m watching. lol

  • Unbelievable:) I just made overnight oats with mixed berries last night, and here you go the video today:) I love overnight oats, I tried with banana and peanut butter before, also ‘carrot cake’ overnight oats. I use Greek yoghurt + almond milk for the base and then just play around with extra ingredients. I introduced them into my intermittent fasting routine, and I eat them as my first meal at midday. Kind of a brunch:)
