  • The calcium in cow’s milk and yogurt will counteract the absorption of many of the beneficial nutrients and antioxidants in Matcha. That is why I always advise to mix it with almond, coconut or hemp milk as an alternative.

  • GREAT recipe! Here is a little tip I learned, to make your frappuccinos less watery and more creamy like Starbucks, add a pinch of Xanthan Gum (found on Amazon). I also substitute the vanilla extract with a scoop of vanilla bean protein powder.

  • Just did it AMAZING!!! First time doing something lovee it! I don’t think I did the full 3tbs pure sugar tho lol
Should I use xanthan gum to make it thicker? How would coconut milk take instead? Add banana for breakfast!!!

  • I followed this recipe minus the vanilla extract & it was pretty close to the original! Actually tasted healthier & didn’t make me feel guilty drinking it!

  • Oh my god this tastes exactly the same as the one I get from Starbucks!!!
I added chocolate chips before blending it as a substitute to java chips, and it tastes INCREDIBLE!!

  • I lived in Japan for 1 year and a half but every Japanese was soooo surprised when I told them about the health benifits of matcha! I also noticed the way they make a matcha latte in starbucks is different in Europe as in Japan
And will try this recipe since I really am a matcha addict:) thank you for the recipe!

Refer to @christopherwalker and his nutrition based video backed by science. He is a wonderful resource and a Duke Grad where he focused on these very topics. Thanks for your time!
