Directions Step 1 Place the avocados, onion, tomato, garlic, and cilantro into a mixing bowl. Season with 1 teaspoon cumin, 2 Step 2 Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate. Combine the kosher salt, 2 tablespoons Step 3 Dry the flank steak with paper towel.

The Avocado salsa compliments the steak and tastes amazing. What an amazing main dish this has turned out to be! Serve it with your favorite sides or even on top of a big salad!

The leftovers make for the perfect lunch the next day. The avocado salsa is a great fresh topping to this flank steak. Instructions In a large bowl or ziplock bag, add olive oil, garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper.

Add flank Preheat grill to high heat. Discard marinade and add flank steak to the grill. Let the steak sear on high heat for 1-2 To make the avocado corn salsa: Add avocado. Grill steaks 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare or to until desired degree of doneness. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.

While steak rests, combine tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl. Thinly slice steak and top with salsa. Place the flank steak in a large, shallow dish.

In a small bowl, whisk together the salt, chili powder, coriander, granulated garlic, onion powder, cumin, and cayenne. Rub the mixture evenly onto all sides of the flank steak. Let sit at room temperature for 25 minutes.

Sear flank steak on high heat for 1-2 minutes per side and then move to indirect heat and let cook until desired doneness. For Medium rare, cook to 130-135 degrees. Remove steak from grill, cover with foil and let rest for 10 minutes. While the steak rests, prepare the avocado corn salsa in a medium size bowl. To prepare salsa, combine avocado and next 7 ingredients (through pepper sauce) in a medium bowl.

Step 5 Warm tortillas according to package directions. Spoon steak mixture evenly over each of 8 tortillas. Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. Grill steak, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 160°), 6-9 minutes per side.

Let stand 5 minutes. Meanwhile, process salsa and cilantro in a food processor until blended. Flank steak is an amazing tasting, lean, & affordable cut of beef that only needs a little TLC to really shine. Normally I find that a properly grilled steak doesn’t normally need a sauce but sometimes the right sauce can really help to bring out all those amazing flavors. One of my favorite sauces with a flank steak is actually a bell pepper & cherry tomato salsa that is full of.

Ingredients. 1/2 cup diced avocado. 1/2 cup diced red tomato.

1/2 cup diced yellow tomato. 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion. 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice.

2 teaspoons chopped fresh tarragon. 1 1/2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil. 3/4 teaspoon salt, divided.

  • Damn this comment section is almost as bad as the one on Tasty’s Facebook page…

This looks good, I’m making it, and the music made this salad seem sexy, which confuses me.

  • *HINT* You can use a bunt pans opening to stabilize the ears of corn for scraping, and the kernels fall inside the bunt pan, it works great!
