  • everyone in the comments is like “this isn’t shawarma” and “you’re not supposed to eat it like a taco”
but there are no comments saying what exactly shawarma is and how you are supposed to eat it

  • That is not how u tuck a shwarma. After putting small yet not so little amount of all the ingredients in the middle of th base, you roll it into a long cylindrical shape and cover both end, and then you proceed to eat it while grabbing it with your hands.!

  • Imagine people arguing over fucking food, no wonder intelligent life haven’t initiated contact with us yet, it hasn’t found any intelligent life worth communicating lmao

  • I makes this for like a week straight for lunch and my little brother saw me now he always makes him for himself:) We love it!! Sometimes we just make the hummus for other recipes not just quesadillas!!

  • You’re a very great youtuber and I really dont understand why you dont have a lot more subscribers. You seriously deserve them. I wish you luck with your youtube path.

  • الزبادي العربي يكون طعمه مدخن وحامض خاصه العراقي او العيران السوري ويكون غني بالدسم مستحيل تحصل على نفس الطعم
And we used to put a sheep fat in the top of the skewer it gives it special Taste when the fat Melts with top down and the We put tomatoes with him without cucumbers for chicken unless it was pickled cucumbers

  • Me: Makes omelet using dinosaur egg instead of chicken egg for a change.
People in comment section: omg,That’s not how we make, you should use chicken eggs.

  • I would love to see a video like this with a larger size bento box! I have a crazy appetite, so I would really appriciate it:) Also a bonus if it’s vegetarian. Love your work!

  • I don’t know what the hell it is, but definitely not shawarma! U insulting every human being who ate normal shawarma and loves it. Never cook it again!!!

  • I would make this but NO. Im only 13 and when I make any food in the kitchen my mum always always tells me to make some for my fucking uselss brothers

  • Our 10 year old son loves making things in the kitchen. He made these for dinner tonightdelicious!
Thanks for posting. Will check out more of your good stuff!

  • Listen to me good sir: this looks very, very tasty. Do we make Tzaziki like that where I come from NO but do I belive yours tastes good? Hell yeah I do. I applaud you work.

  • Hey, Karen:-)      Surfed over from “The Kitchen Witch”  (Lyndsay Wells)  and I’m really enjoying your channel:-)   Your clothing and your background music is GREAT,  and it really gives that “Middle Eastern” touch!       Thanks and thumbs up,  Norfolk Joe

  • I’m on a low sodium diet. Beware of “flour” tortillas, since they can have anywhere from 200mg to 660mg sodium PER TORTILLA!! The corn tortillas usually have little to no sodium. I also found a long wrap called Flatout Italian Herb Flatbread. Instead of round, it’s a long tort like the shape of a 440 yard running track. You can really load it up, unlike the round Mexican style round ones. I make subway sandwiches at home, but I substitute a wrap instead of bread. https://www.flatoutbread.com/

  • U don’t put tomatoes and cucumbers in shawarma….pickled cucumbers however are there along with French fries and garlic sauce called dhoom

  • i made this hummus, and for some weird reason i was 100% sure that there’s roasted pumpkin instead of the pepper in this. still turned out delicious af. i’m just gonna have to cook my way through this channel, i see no other way.

  • This does look delicious but it isn’t shawarma, yogurt based marinade is Shish Tawook. Cooking the cracked wheat isn’t necessarily, just soaked in water to remain slightly crunchy. It look great either way!

  • Hi Food Fusion,
For pita bread you didn’t you use lukewarm water or lukewarm milk but every other recipe on YouTube is using lukewarm water. Whats the difference, please help me understand

  • put the whole meat thing in plastic wrap and wind it to a tight cylinder. put it in the fridge and let it firm up. Then change the clingfilm to aluminum foil again winding it to a cylinder. poke some holes in it letting some fat drip out and put it on a rack in the oven. cook it on a fairly low temp about 125 c for 4 hours. then you can let i cool in the oven slowly. after that you can cut your slivers of meat like a kebab and cook it in a pan with ease.

  • I want to correct banish abit here:
-You open the pita and eat it not like a taco
-Your tahini didn’t have enough water
-You would rather add chips and hummus with salad down there

  • Sometimes, I wish I could eat all these things in recipes like this. I’m very picky when it comes to proteins and some fruits/vegetables I’m not familiar with, but more vegetables than fruits

  • I need to get a bento box or 3 so i can make your yummy recipes. I like your ideas of lunch wraps. Sometimes, its better to make your own instead of buying it from the canteen. The bean and cheese burrito inspired one sounds delicious.

  • This is a great recipe but strangely, even though the content is really sped up to the point I found I missed several of the ingredients, because of the repetitive music, I found the video felt long and tiring.

  • There is no cabbage n cucumber in the original shawerma!also there no such thing as shawerma sauce….they just use Taheena (sesame seed paste) and garlic sauce…..

  • Lmao!good recipe but plz dont call it shawerma…thats not how its made….i dont know when y’all Desis will gett over the same curry taste in each n every thing!

  • Can I make this the night before I’m going to eat it? Or is it better to make it on the same day? As a student I’m trying to think a way to mAke my lunches:)

  • Thanks! I have a sams club membership and will be going there for all the ingredients. Btw, do you have a George Foreman grill? I love mine for grilled chicken or any meat and veggies, cooks really fast with nice grill marks and a smoky taste.

  • the shawarmas in the UAE have french fries in them (at least one) and to me they taste good. but once the spice starts to kick in it dosent taste good anymore.

  • I just found your channel and I’m subbing I love those helpful tips about the veggies so that the wrap doesn’t get soggy. It’s details like this that actually help people learn to be better at “prepping” or even just as an introduction to using the kitchen instead of fast food!:)

  • I have a question my tortilla always mass it’s really watery is it from tomato or sauce I don’t get how people put tomato and it dosent mass

  • Just found your channel. My fiancé’s moving in and he’s vegan. I’m not. (HELP!). Thank God for YouTube. Your food looks good and filling too!

  • HOW would you heat it up. For example the first wrap you did since it has meat in it? How would I maintain it fresh and how long can they stay in the refrigerator? Trying to make this for my husband to take for work. Thanks in advance

  • Loved the video keep up the good work!! But did u put your cooked chicken back in the same bowl u had your raw chicken in? That can be very dangerous!!

  • hello I was strolling looking for something else and came across your Healthy Channel when I seen healthy I clicked I’m a new subscriber looks good thanks for sharing

  • Hi Karen, great video! I would like to ask you if you think it’s necessary to remove that transparent shell that covers the chickpeas? In my country, we don’t have easy access to canned chickpeas, so we have to buy them hole. Thank you!

  • I am from Russian and in Russian shawarma like the god’s meal!!! (YOU MUST TRY IT! IF YOU DON’T TRY THIS YOU LOST YOUR LIFE FOR NOTHING!)

  • Also peppers are expensive, cut and roast (look up how I’m too old and too full of hamburgers to know. 350 for 15? Close enough next time do it right).

  • I made this from his book just the other night. The hummus heated up was a little weird tasting but I’m going to make it again. This is a decent recipe. I recommend itz

  • Have you ever done a “Commuter Series”? For the people who take the bus, train, plane daily and are on a budget. I watch flight attendant andvpilot vlogs and alot of them want to meal prep(different diets) to save but, they don’t know how. How would you prep and pack an ebags, etc food bag,for a 1 to 6plus trip. I take trains and buses. Thanks!

  • thank you for telling me about this other chicken wrap video a few min. ago. I really am enjoying your recipes and am interested in watching more of your videos. Are these low in fat?

  • Not sure if this is standard, but the places in my area have pickled turnip as a shawarma staple. And the garlic sauce is perhaps the best part of any shawarma I’ve ever had.

  • Won’t lie, just had gastric sleeve surgery so I’m definitely weren’t on the healthy path. But, your channel will help me a lot on my new journey!

  • I mean, it is good, but not good for weight loss. That hummus will cost you about 350 calories alone. One wrap packs about 750 calories or even more.

  • the fast version is Tunar Nudles with chicken tast garlic unions salad peas and corn or whatever you like the tunar come taste like chicken it is good wrap into a tortilia or pancake.

  • I am russian, and this is not shawarma i know. Our shawarma is rolled like a buttito and it has sliced chicken, potato fries, stick-chopped cucumbers and tomatoes, onion, mayo, some kind of sauce(not ketchup) and, sometimes, it has some kind of hot sauce (not tabasco or any other west spicy sauces)

  • An amazing chicken wraps to try out this summer. Thanks for sharing this recipe with all of us. Also here i have a special chicken salad wraps. Grab a look at them here:

  • i followed ur instructions and it was delicious but i wasnt as good as the shawarma that i ate at my time in the UAE but it was very close tho and btw shawarma is wrapped in kaboos (so yea)

  • idk if it’s because i’m sleep deprived or depressed but your voice and enthusiasm is making me CRY YOU’RE JUST CUTE I NEEDED SOME CUTENESS IN MY LIFE

  • I am a Syrian shawarma addict and i LIIIVVVVEEE for it.. it’s fairly far from Syrian shawarma but it looks nice though and i think I will give it a try and make at home for a change a big fan by the way!! Keep the magic
