Serve with a small bowl of hummus or your favorite dip. Slice ends from zucchini, and cut lengthwise into thin ribbons using vegetable peeler or mandolin. Spread 2 tablespoons hummus on each tortilla. Divide spinach and zucchini equally over hummus.

Divide chicken mixture, onion and roasted red pepper equally among tortillas.

  • That is not how u tuck a shwarma. After putting small yet not so little amount of all the ingredients in the middle of th base, you roll it into a long cylindrical shape and cover both end, and then you proceed to eat it while grabbing it with your hands.!

  • I’m on a low sodium diet. Beware of “flour” tortillas, since they can have anywhere from 200mg to 660mg sodium PER TORTILLA!! The corn tortillas usually have little to no sodium. I also found a long wrap called Flatout Italian Herb Flatbread. Instead of round, it’s a long tort like the shape of a 440 yard running track. You can really load it up, unlike the round Mexican style round ones. I make subway sandwiches at home, but I substitute a wrap instead of bread.

  • i made this hummus, and for some weird reason i was 100% sure that there’s roasted pumpkin instead of the pepper in this. still turned out delicious af. i’m just gonna have to cook my way through this channel, i see no other way.

  • This does look delicious but it isn’t shawarma, yogurt based marinade is Shish Tawook. Cooking the cracked wheat isn’t necessarily, just soaked in water to remain slightly crunchy. It look great either way!

    For pita bread you didn’t you use lukewarm water or lukewarm milk but every other recipe on YouTube is using lukewarm water. Whats the difference, please help me understand

  • put the whole meat thing in plastic wrap and wind it to a tight cylinder. put it in the fridge and let it firm up. Then change the clingfilm to aluminum foil again winding it to a cylinder. poke some holes in it letting some fat drip out and put it on a rack in the oven. cook it on a fairly low temp about 125 c for 4 hours. then you can let i cool in the oven slowly. after that you can cut your slivers of meat like a kebab and cook it in a pan with ease.

  • Thanks! I have a sams club membership and will be going there for all the ingredients. Btw, do you have a George Foreman grill? I love mine for grilled chicken or any meat and veggies, cooks really fast with nice grill marks and a smoky taste.

  • the shawarmas in the UAE have french fries in them (at least one) and to me they taste good. but once the spice starts to kick in it dosent taste good anymore.

  • Not sure if this is standard, but the places in my area have pickled turnip as a shawarma staple. And the garlic sauce is perhaps the best part of any shawarma I’ve ever had.

  • I am russian, and this is not shawarma i know. Our shawarma is rolled like a buttito and it has sliced chicken, potato fries, stick-chopped cucumbers and tomatoes, onion, mayo, some kind of sauce(not ketchup) and, sometimes, it has some kind of hot sauce (not tabasco or any other west spicy sauces)

  • Your macros are fucking off on your website it says 10oz of chicken breast for 2 quesadillas and on your macros it says 9 fucking grams of protein for 1 quesadilla? There is no 9 grams of protein in 1 serving of a quesadilla as there is 5oz of chicken in one serving. Also there is already 8 grams of protein that is found inside a 1/4 cup of hummus which is what you spread on this video. Don’t even get me started on the protein that is found in goat cheese and the amount that you used. I don’t trust any of your macro calculations on your website they are all off.
