Easy 30 Minute Recipe | One-Pan Chicken and Spinach Orzo

Video taken from the channel: I.M. Beauty

Ingredients 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 white onion, diced finely 3 cloves garlic minced 1 cup chicken broth (I like Better Than Bouillon Base) 3/4 cup uncooked orzo pasta 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes undrained (if you can get the version that has basil and oregano great!) 1 teaspoon italian. Hot, homemade chicken, spinach and orzo is just 30 minutes away. Made with leftover chicken or store-bought rotisserie chicken, meal prepping for this recipe is a breeze. Stay safe and healthy. Please practice hand-washing and social distancing, and check out our resources for adapting to these times.

1. In a large dutch oven, heat olive oil. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. 2. Add the chicken and brown until cooked through, about 5 minutes.

Remove from pan and set aside. 3. Add the water to the pan and bring to a boil. Add the orzo and cook for 8 minutes. DIRECTIONS Bring a large pot (needs to be quite large because you will need to have room to mix once you add the bulky spinach) of water to boil with the bouillon cubes.

Add orzo and cook according to directions on box (approximately 10 minutes). Drain and return to pot. Add the onion and baby spinach to the pot and cook about 2-3 minutes or until soft.

Pour in marinara sauce, water and balsamic vinegar and bring to a boil, then reduce to a strong simmer. Add in the chicken and orzo, stir, then cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the orzo. Working off my Mom’s One Pot Oven-Baked Risotto with Lamb Chops Recipe, this pasta chicken fiesta starts with browning a few drumsticks, adding some flavorings, stirring in the orzo pasta, spinach and tomatoes and bam, we’re almost done! Put a lid on it, let it cook, and some 15 minutes later, there you have it!

Din-Din is served!!If you have half an hour and some chicken, you can make an easy dinner! Each of these 30 minute chicken recipes is perfect for busy nights.

Gnocchi with Spinach and Chicken Sausage. Chicken breasts stay nice and moist tucked under a blanket of melted cheese. It’s extra special to serve but is not tricky to make. Sprinkle chicken with garlic seasoning blend.

In a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet, saute chicken and onion in oil until chicken is no longer pink, 5-6 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in the tomatoes, spinach, broth, orzo, Italian seasoning.

  • ONE POT DISH wohoo. I also don’t like washing up…and I’m another person making a Kerry recipe playlist because a lot of your dishes are becoming regulars in our house, and your videos are clear and just the right length. Nailing it! Thanks

  • I made this today and we all loved it. I had to improvise a bit because I don’t have a Dutch oven. So I did the stove top part in a skillet then transferred it to an oven-safe clay pot. Thanks a million. It was so worth it. Cheers

  • I’ve made Youvetsi before, but tonight I made it your way, Dimitra. And I am sold!
I really like the stove top idea in a pot. Tonight, I made this using Chicken breast meat. And I also added some vegetables. Turned out delicious.

  • I made this dish exactly as instructed and it was so delicious. The list of ingredients on your website does not include oregano even though the instructions in the recipe do. I just used a tablespoon of oregano, and it turned out perfect. Thank you Dimitra for sharing your wonderful recipes. They’re all “keepers”!

  • Evening, I was asked to take part in a survey before watching your video, Just to let you know I tapped: informative, Calming, entertaining.
I really like that your recipes are not only simple and cheap but how none of them look neither cheap or simple.
By the way.. I made panzanella recently..A typical summery dish from Tuscany.
When are you getting a tv show?
    Ciao!!

  • Gave this a try tonight substituted orzo for risotto and asparagus for runner beans (just what I had on hand) two out of three kids loved it (ugh two year old going through that picky phase)! Thanks for sharing this was so delicious and creamy!
