  • Made a recipe from you yesterday, went looking for this recipe and you popped up. Yeah I’m subscribed and loving the quick and easy yet delicious foods

  • You should use wooden spoons on your new pots instead of metal so they wont get scratched up so fast. Just a suggestion from experience

  • Yum! Do you think it would come out ok if I just doubled the shredded cheese instead of using the velveeta? I live in Hawaii and for some reason velveeta is super expensive here lol

  • H-E-B!!! Lol!! I’m from San Antonio, TX and recently subscribed to your cooking channel! I love it! And I love how you explain your directions! Can’t wait to try this recipe!

  • I love hearing the baby sounds in the background. I always wonder how they don’t interfere with your videos by your cooking. Catnip possibly? Teehee

  • Good morning ladies, that looked so tasty! I will try making it using cream of mushroom soup. Thanks for sharing!! Smile often!!! p/s… what was the name of your favorite seasoning? (the first one you used)

  • Love this recipe and the way you explain every step for the homecook who might not get the reasoning behind why you do things the way you do. Thank you for sharing!

  • Made this tonight and my kids ate seconds! I love all your recipes! They are simple and so easy to make. Love that you have such a wide variety of cultural dishes. The authentic Korean dishes are spot on, I’m half Korean (my dad) so it’s nice to see those recipes.

  • I think I will make this without chicken, double the amount of broccoli and use cream of celery or cream of mushroom soup. This will make it a side dish instead of a main course. I will have to double recipe for 9×13 pan. Is there a way I can use regular rice instead of instant? I just don’t care for the texture. I’m thinking I could precook the rice and eliminate the chicken broth. What do you think? By the way, I shared your creamy mushroom and chicken recipe with my nephew and he made for his family. They made exactly like the recipe except used half and half instead of cream. He said it was to die for. He and his wife have 3 children and there were no leftovers. They all absolutely loved it as did I. I made mine without the cream and it was yummy.

  • Funny about Miracle Whip…people feel so strongly about it. My husband and I have been married for 28 years and still have to have both Miracle Whip and Mayo in our frig…LOLOLOLOL He is the Miracle Whip guy…I admit that I tried to change him early on (and not just about Mayo…LOLOL). Learned our lessons and stopped trying to change each other. Did I say that we have been married for 28 years????

  • I was looking for what to make for supper tonight, and I came across this recipe. This looks so delicious that I am going to add chicken and make it a real dinner rather than a side dish. Can hardly wait for tonight. Thanks for posting.

  • Love this!!!! Time to go shopping. Not before I subscribe. This looks so delishious! From what I can see of your home you have decorated beautifully. I love you your family and the lady behind the camera. Ya’ll crack me up.

  • Can I use all regular cheddar cheese and regular rice, or does it have to be fake cheese and minute rice? I want to make this tomorrow night and don’t want to go shopping again! Please tell me, yes!!

  • Damn that looks good! I’m making this today for my Easter family dinner along with ham. Wish me luck! BTW, I really like your videos they are real people food videos

  • I’ve never prepared this Casserole before! Looks so creamy and delicious! What’s the diff in the 2 cheeses? Thank you! Great video!

  • Love you Laura!
I just made this dish today. But I was confused with how much water to start with when it came to the rice. I was following the instructions of the rice and I don’t feel like it was enough, I don’t think I cooked it properly:( Is it possible to specify that part pls.

  • I made this last night and oommgggg, I was so surprised! Couldn’t believe I made something so doggone good. LOL! Thanks for the recipe.

  • This is perfect because I always save my thighs for mole, arroz con pollo, con calabasa…..but my mistake i am limited but this is a a true eye opener… gotta try this

  • Wow! Congratulations on hitting 400,000 subscribers. I love your channel and have made many of your recipes. Thank you for sharing.

  • I plan on making this dish tomorrow or Sunday. My question is can you replace the bouillon power with one cube in a cup of hot water?

  • Made this last night for a gathering as a test for thanksgiving, it was the only dish that had no leftovers! A hit! I had no sour cream so I subbed mayo…perfection! Thanks boo ❤️

  • I so wanted this to work! I followed the directions but my rice was very crunchy. Rice definitely needs to be cooked beforehand, not just rinsed

  • I usualy make “chicken and rice” in a pan, using canned cream of chicken and sometimes add brocolli. However, adding cheese would take it to a whole other level! I may try this but I’ll add chicken.

  • I made this and was very impressed. Though, next time I’ll have to make sure I dilute half the broth with water because it was a tad salty for me even though I used low sodium broth and soup. It was still very easy and delicious!!! Definitely going to be a staple in my kitchen from now on.

  • Omg thank you for the recipe! Just made this and it’s a KEEPER! I seasoned the chicken differently and cut down on the water by half (I like my rice more dry). Soooo good and wished I would of triple your recipe with the rice.

  • Can I wash the rice, drain, and then toast rice? Maybe wet rice won’t toast, but I like to wash my rice before cooking.

  • That looks beautiful…I have to try it possibly tomorrow. Is it possible to substitute vegetable broth for the chicken broth? Also, my dad doesn’t like mushrooms, and is vegetarian, so is it possible to sub in cream of broccoli soup for the cream soup?

  • Hi, why do you tease us with you food, lol. If my oven works will definitely try this recipe. Thank you for the recipe and motivation to cook

  • Just came across your channel. I love the simplicity of your videos. I just subscribed. Look forward to more videos. And I will be making this casserole tonight. Thanks for sharing

  • I made this yesterday to take to a sick friend but split it and kept half for us. I LOVED the creamy, cheesy rice and broccoli and stuffed myself on it. I think it will be a great side dish when made minus the chicken.

  • Thank you! This looks delicious; I am definitely making it this week. I just want to let you know that the last hashtag is in the way of the arrow that makes the recipe drop down.

  • Lord have mercy….Jesus help me! I just want to start shouting this dish looks so good! My son Cordell asked me to make this for dinner tomorrow and I definitely am! I’m even gonna make 2 double batches so I can freeze them

  • OMG! I can’t believe this! I just made this yesterday. You and I had the same broccoli chicken rice casserole in mind. The only thing that I added different this time was barbecue sauce to the chicken mixture along with the cream of mushroom soup and a little mayonnaise. I layered my casserole with rice first then broccoli then the chicken and cheese mixture. It’s all the same though no matter how it’s put together.

  • This makes me excited for fall comfort foods! Cheesy chopped potato casserole with cornflakes on top? Someone made it at a work potluck before and it was so good

  • It would be nice if you posted the recipe in the comments or smtn instead of having to go through the video or waiting for it to load when its fast forwarded. Found a similar recipe on google. Anyways, thanks for the idea.

  • OMG just made this!! So good! my daughter and I had a hard time not eating the mixture before it went to the oven…half cooked rice and all. Thanks for another great recipe:)

  • Ash I am going to try this tomorrow…my 21 and 16 year old gonna think I have lost my mind…because I don’t cook…you got me inspired

  • I made this tonight. I used short grain rice 2c with 2c chickenpowder and hot water and2c half and half. It came out delicious. Thank you. Super easy and really good

  • Hello, just found your channel. As soon as I looked at your video I got all of the items and made it for Sunday dinner and I have to say that it was the best broccoli, rice and cheese dish that I have had. I had bake chicken to go with it. Also my family want me to make it again. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes with us. Now I have to go and see what else I can find.

  • I think my mom used to make this. Hey question, is there a reason your videos are getting shorter or are you just on a really easy recipe kick lately?

  • Love the dish, Im older and I just don t understand why u won t use a tablespoon or bigger spoon to mix food. I be saying she s gonna burn her hand lol.

  • Since I loved your squash casserole recipe I’ll be trying this soon. I’m going to add the crushed Ritz crackers on top of the broccoli casserole.

  • It was so funny how you got your son out of the way. Only to have the kitty to take his spot too cute! Gonna try this recipe! Thanks for sharing!!

  • Good tip on toasting the rice and adding chicken broth. I’m sure that gives it alot of added flavor. Will definetely do that from now on when I make it. Thanks 4 sharing.

  • I’m with Ash I go OD with the cheese i have to make my 16 year separate from mines and my youngest.. he don’t know what he be missing

    Broccoli casserole video.

  • Thank you so much for this recipe! I can’t believe I’ve never made broccoli, chicken & cheese casserole before. It was delicious. Nom nom nom I just subscribed!

  • People that are lactose intolerance
Do not need to use the milk use chicken broth substitute that instead of milk that’s how I make it

  • I really like her videos, also. I just found her channel, when I saw a video for her iced coffees. I might recommend using a spatula to push chopped foods off of the plates into pans/ pots, rather than her fingers or hands, though. I have no doubt her hands are clean; that’s not the problem. I expect people to use their hands when kneading dough and working with certain types of foods/ meatloaf, etc, but not when scraping food into frying pans or pots on the stove.

  • Sauces won’t thicken correctly unless you mix a starch (like flour or corn starch) with some type of fat and cook that for a few minutes first, before adding the liquid (like that chicken broth or bouillon and cream), etc.

❤️ Otherwise, sounds delicious (if you like broccoli!)
It is a NATURAL chemical reaction between the starch and the fat which thickens the gravy as it heats.

  • Everything about your video is awesome. I have been looking at different recipes on YouTube Channel since this change of events called seasons of Life. I am really tired of eating out and I was looking for a recipe on the same line of your recipe that your greatly presented with the video and guideline to make it. In this recipe can I leave out the cheese. Thank you so much. TX.

  • I can’t get over the fact how long this dish has to cook in the oven. First put it in with foil on for 30 minuttes, then take it out and springle with cheese and put it back in the oven for 20 minuttes. That means you have to cook it in the oven for 50 minuttes. I think it is a dish I won’t be doing when I get home from a 15 hour working day at 21.30 in the evening and you have to get up the next day at 03.00 in the morning in order to go to work again. It just simply takes to long to be doing. I am just saying.

  • Ok,, miss lady I see this casserole was a year ago if you can make another one more healthier than this one could you add ground turkey and ground beef as a mixture and put inside the casserole in layers like in a lasagna.

  • Thank you for the recipe. I had just put my frozen chicken thighs in my instant pot and was trying to think of what to make with the chicken. I went shopping yesterday and bought velvetta I don’t normally buy it just had a vibe to grab a box. So while scrolling through my emails I saw your video and thought OMG perfect easy meal and i have both cheeses. Only I’m going to sub the rice for cauliflower rice we don’t eat rice, my Hubby and I eat (lazy) Keto. So this is perfect. Thank you

  • This casserole is baking in the oven as I post this. Hope my picky eaters like it!.Will let you know. Everyone is walking around saying how delicious it smells! So it’s a big hit! And everything went just like the video step by step. The rice soaked up the extra moisture while it sat for 15 minutes and wasn’t mushy!!! Thank you for your great recipes.

  • I was brought up using cheese wiz in this dish. Looks yummy and easy to make. Will try it this way on my family and see what they like better.

  • I’m going to try this for dinner. I have fresh broccoli instead of frozen, but hopefully that won’t matter. I’ll let you know how mine turns out. Thanks for the recipe!

  • I started using Mrs Dash because of U Ashley. I needed some type of seasonings with lil to no salt in it due to my open surgery 1/20/18 @ age 44…
So Thank U for the best option & Lovely Meal.

  • This is my plan for dinner tonight.
I used to make it every few months, but it’s been a few years now. I’m looking forward to having it again. I’ll add in a bit of chicken too.

  • This recipe looks delicious. Another great recipe that I will definitely be making tomorrow. Thanks for posting.

  • This looks yummy.
Just wondering, I might have missed it, but have you done a coffee video? A nice hot cup of coffee the way you grew up drinking it?
My husband is from the Dominican Republic and they make their coffee with a Greca (espresso maker) and I do too now. I would love to see if you grew up doing it a different way. Thank you ❤

  • made a halved version of this tonight and WOW. absolutely delicious! thank you, i’ll definitely be fixing this one many times in the future:)

  • Great and easy to follow instructions. One of the few cooking recipes online that is not clickbait designed to capture the viewer solely on looks. The recipe actually tastes as good as it looks. thanks my kids love it.

  • I tried this recipe many times and you are absolutely right. There’s a big difference between toasting the rice and not toasting the rice. I agree to toast the rice

  • I loved this recipe! The only changes i made was using cream of mushroom instead of cream of chicken. And i didnt use chicken. It came out great. I put panko on top

  • Making this tonight! Been to 3 stores & cd only find heavy whipping cream. Is that the same? I bought it anyway since no one had heavy cream. Washing my basmati rice right now. Thank you for sharing!

  • All that damn butter! Y’all know y’all from the country! Blood pressure gonna be high AF! I love y’all though but damn I don’t want y’all to croak on y’all fans. We love you guys too much lol

  • Love your recipe! I have made it and my hubby loved it! Like other have said, I have known people that make it but never share:) so thanks! ps, I didnt see where you put the milk in? can I use that in place of cream of mushroom or chicken? I ran out? Im gonna try with out it and tell you how it comes out 😉

  • Love tht intro song!!! Whts the name of it? Lol little so handsome hes getting tall! food looks good…lol no fighting in the kitchen ladies

  • I made this last night and while it was good…it didn’t look like yours…my rice was not cooked…what did I do wrong? I would like to make this again; however, my daughter wants to use boneless and skinless

  • While feeling lazy to cook i didn’t even what to make for dinner. Guess what we are having for dinner tonight
    Thank you so much ❤️

  • This video sucks and you can not make a proper cooking video and a camera person is to keep there mouth shut at all times don’t ever do another video and y’all talk to damn much THE WORST!!!!!

  • This is the type of dish that I would have to make in a triple batch. Made Tater Tot Casserole last week. Doubled the recipe with no leftovers.

  • I love a broccoli, cheese, rice casserole! I have been making mine for many years. It is always a crowd pleaser. I will try your variation. It looks great too!

  • To save, I would NOT use the entire 16 ounces broccoli. they are not chopped fine enough. I chop half the bag and save rest for something else.

  • Looks simply delicious! Have you ever tried chicken divine? It’s similar to what you made it has lemon juice and mayo with cream of chicken. You use chicken thighs because they are more moist. I love your cooking videos! Bashy and the stroller was hilarious!

  • I love serving this with my Great Grandmothers Pork Chop recipe. I’m going to try it with Cream of Celery soup and sometime when I’m watching my diet I’d try Riced Cauliflower!

  • I had to watch this a couple of times in a row. I kept saying “Get the f#$% out of here! That’s too easy!” I buy at least one rotisserie chicken a week, so this is right up my alley. You have a new Sub.

  • I make mines almost like this except I’ve never browned the rice or added onions or fresh garlic. I’ve always added mushrooms. But will definitely make it like this + mushrooms
    Looks delicious

  • I’m sure it’s really good but I wouldn’t have steamed the broccoli and cauliflower because it just over cooked it. Instead I would’ve added it to the cheese mixture.

  • Awesomeness I made this earlier this week with skinless chicken breast and I’m about to make it for the second time right now;)))) Thanks for the recipe; )

  • I am sorry that you are going the sponsorship way.  You have just lost me to the other sites that I have subscribed to.  They have the same recipes anyway xx

  • I made this for dinner tonight. It was fantastic! Next time I will add less water to make the rice a little less wet.
Thanks for the recipe. Going to make your fideo chicken next.

  • Omg that look so damn Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooddddd!!!!!!! Damn it ash got my mouth all wet lmao.. I will make that n thank u girly

  • Your videos are so therapeutic, I can’t even explain it. I’m a freshman in college and watching your videos helps me relive my stress.

  • I like the recipe and plan to cook it today. HOWEVER, cooks: do not cook in aluminum ever. Go google it. Aluminum metal was never meant to be introduced to the human body and can all kinds of side effects. I made my mom dump all of her aluminum cookware 30 years ago.

  • What about letting everyone know that you can find all the ingredients to make your casserole in Targets supermarkets area . Looks really delicious. Extra plug
