Instructions Prepare the pizza crust. Top with sauce, chicken, red onion, and mozzarella cheese, in that order. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and pizza is hot.

Remove the crust from the oven. Top with 1⁄3-1⁄2 cup of bbq sauce, depending on how much you would like or the size of your crust. Sprinkle with 1⁄2-3⁄4 cup of shredded mozzarella. Mix the shredded chicken with the remaining 1 Tbsp of bbq sauce and top on the pizza.

Sweet Potato Crust Barbecue Chicken Pizza is a gluten free sweet potato crust topped with everything you love about a summer barbecue.   • What was that you said about yams and sweet potatoes? Yams orange, sweet potato white? No-no-no. It’s the opposite!:)

    Sweet potatoes can vary from yellowy to deep orange, but what you probably call yams the big and tapered vegetables with smooth, pale skin and sweet, orange flesh are actually ordinary sweet potatoes, grown in the good ol’ US of A. True yams are white fleshed, with a dark, rough and textured skin, and they aren’t really that sweet. These are mostly grown in Africa and the Caribbean.

    For this reason, the normally sweet and orange “yams” are actually required by the USDA to be additionally marketed as a sweet potato, because of this confusion with names. Most people will never find real yams in their local stores. So please do continue to call them sweet potatoes!:)

  • I forgot the oven in this apt I rent has a tiny oven, and bought a 16 inch pizza pan. The pan barely fits by getting it hot so it warps a bit. I finally found the right dough recipe to make two pizzas for thick crust. Thin crust leaves me way too hungry and I can’t afford to eat two pizzas in one day. Making pizza tomorrow, and needed another recipe for the second pizza. I will probably make the second one Monday or Tuesday as I have to go buy some barbecue sauce and red onion. I always forget the red onions taste better in pizza. I might have to add some pineapples to half the pizza. Chicken is my favorite meat for pizza, so I have no idea why I have never made a bbq chicken pizza. I must say, your videos are torture I have problems remembering each step, so I watch your videos as they are the clearest, but you make me very very hungry. We seem to like many of the same foods and ingredients, except I’m not afraid to use whole milk and butter quite often. Thanks for sharing, and I wish I were the one that could be there and swipe a piece of your pizza. You make me laugh. And I’m now spanking my dough and laughing each time.

  • I made the BBQ chicken pizza today and it was FABULOUS!!! the dough was great like a real Italian pizza and the BBQ chicken on it was amazing! I never thought of chicken as a pizza Topping but since I had some rosterrie left I thought I give it a try! I had no pizza stone but it was still delightful!!
