  • Thank you for this wonderful and easy recipe! I’m lactose intoleranat but I love ice cream so this is perfect for me. Plus I can make any flavor I want! It sure beats buying really pricey dairy-free ice cream at the store!

  • “make it in a couple of minutes”

step 1. dice a banana and lay out on a sheet pan and freeze for several hours, or even over night.
    o.O

  • @Bigger bolder baking can we replace the condensed milk you made at the beggining with canned condensed milk? ik its not vegan i was wondering if it would work

  • Just tried this recipe and my god! It tastes better than the store-bought premium ice-cream Thank you so much for this one! I can now enjoy ice-creams without feeling guilty!❤️

  • Can I make a big ice cream base and leave it in the fridge and later use it with different flavours? Or do I have to make a separate ice cream base every time?

  • I’d love to try Black Cherry, Black Walnut & Coffee and/or Mocha. These looked aMAzing, except the tea! Sorry but that one would be left out in the snow by me I’m afraid, LOL! Thanks for the demo, Must try. I agree coconut milk is so mild tasting, but healthier. Have to admit tho that I adore dairy ice cream!

  • The use of avocado for desert fascinates me because it is healthy. I made avocado dark chocolate mousse with monk fruit sweetener and stevia, about 50/50, with 100% melted dark chocolate or dark cocoa, so no sugar. It tastes great. I topped it with homemade whipped cream, but I’m planning on eventually eliminating that with a substitute, making it more vegan, so more healthy.

  • Keto FAD diet just like all the other FAD diets causing all kinds of disease n health related problems…seems to be happening to all the dumbasses who fall for the latest FAD diet!
..why not go vegan? that’s not a FAD diet…That’s TRUE health which cant be debunked no matter how hard the nonbelievers try… that’s a true lifestyle change. And you can keep climbing that ladder to pure health!! Those Sweeteners like youput in your supposed healthy ice cream is causing cancer!! It’s not foodnon-food chemical based CRAP!!

  • i dont understan by people recording you tube videos act like children. show maturity….we are not 5 years old to be making faces and all this noises and hand movement like it was a program for retards

  • Guys, I need help!
I followed the recipe with organic coconut milk without any additives, and it just doesn’t get creamy. Instead, after combining the condensed milk (which worked fine) and the cream (did not get as creamy as the video indicates), I am now sitting here with a jar full of buttery coconut clumps surrounded by sweet coconut water. T.T
It tastes nice, but I just want that creaminess overflow matcha ice cream so bad….ah. Any ideas on what I could change next time?

  • If cannot get Vanilla Extract or Vanilla Beans and Vanilla Essence, can I do without it? Or is there any other things to replace vanilla Extract?

  • my twist on avocado ice cream had it last night super tasty
    cut up banana and avocado’s
    freeze them
blend with blender or food processor with a little almond milk (stir it around a couple times while blending) super yummy

  • I am sure it’s yummy but you should know that coconut milk shouldn’t be heated as it loses all its nutrients if it’s heated. Just adding a fact

  • When i did it there was only a small amount of liquid and the rest was still quite runny.how do you get the coconut milk to separate properly,i left it in the fridge overnight then turned it over, please advise

  • Hi Gemma! I want to use condensed milk instead of making my own. I have a feeling I might mess it up:) If so, how much of real condensed milk should I add? We are not against using milk, just want to experiment if we can make ice cream at home:)

  • if you want an alternative avocado paste recipe
    here yoU gO:
take a 1/2 tablespoon of sugar and put it in the mixer, add one avocado, a cup of milk/ice/cold water and a little bit of lemon juice(optional) and mix them for 3 minutes and 29 seconds
don’t try being smart and freeze it to convince yourself it’s icecream bec it will just turn into ice
    that’s it
    don’t enjoy

  • Just go and get a regular ice cream cone already. Portion sizes my friends. How in the hell have people in todays age forgotten how to eat. Get off the couch, train with some decent intensity, and watch your portion sizes. It’s not complicated. Humans are becoming embarrassing at very fast rates.

  • Hello dear, this is ana amazing tutorial! I am so excited to try and make coconut ice cream now. And I love the labels. I was trying to find the PDF to the labels, but the link takes me to your FB page and not to the specific post with the PDF… Any chance you could share a new link?

  • muslims don’t consume alcohol, but in our country we have halal vanilla essence (alcohol free) so i hope it works for muslims who want to try. thank you gemma.

  • Hi Gemma I tried this recipe but my coconut milk did not turn frothy but seem to be oozing out coconut oil in just 1 min. I used hand mixer in medium low(3). What am I doing wrong. How do I fix it.

  • Hello, all! I accidentally used two cans of coconut cream in the recipe and didn’t remove what little water they had left in the cans. Do I have to cook the liquid out of the ice cream before freezing? I’m assuming I have to add more of the sweetened condensed coconut milk, too.

  • Hello my name is Ruhama from Israel, I tried this lovely dairy ice cream..the only thing is that when i take it out of the freezer, it is hard like a stone unlike the dairy ice cream…can you give me a tip? I have to take it out of the freezer at least half an hour before serving…..
Thank you for your lovely tasty recipes ❤️

  • If you leave the condensed milk simmer for a little longer (or for about 25 minutes in just a bit more heat), it gets brown and thicker, and you get a brazilian sweet named quebra queixo (“jaw breaker”) which is also delicious (though you’d want to cut it in small pieces while still hot, cause it gets really hard to cut after cooling). If you want to, you can add some coconut flakes to it as well.

  • I would love to try this but girl, that brown rice syrup stuff u had, where the fuck do you think I’m gonna get that?? I don’t live in California, I live in Canada were not to big on vegan stuff like that, I’ve never seen a single vegan store or restaurant where I live at all! And I’m pretty sure super store doesn’t sell that so I’m screwed.

  • @POPSUGAR Girls’ Guide Hi, I’m on Dr. McDougall’s Starch Solution Program. I am still kinda new to it, but I have done well thus far, as it’s only been two months. I am wondering if you know what would be the best Coconut milk to use?? There are many to choose from in my local health food store. I’m also very concerned about the brown rice syrup. Could you please tell me if it has oil or natural flavors as an ingredient?? Your avocado icecream looks so good that I’m willing to give it a chance. However, before I do if you would please answer my two questions, I would really appreciate it. Thank You!!!

  • This video is such an exciting revelation, can’t wait to try it!! I just found your channel today. Will be trying many of your recipes. Color me inspired

  • I made this and it’s way too hard. Even if I leave it at room temp for 10minutes before serving my daughter can’t even break it up with a spoon.

  • I tried this and it was amazing!! my ice cream was very hard when I took it out if the freezer, I had to leave it for 30 minutes just to scoop out, though. Any suggestions to stop the ice crystals??

  • What should be the temperature of my home freezer? My ice cream made with whole milk, half and half, sugar all boiled well and custard powder, became hard in the freezer. I did churn cold mix in cold food processor before putting in the freezer.

  • Whipped Cream recipe without heavy cream:
Perfect for cakes and ice creams, made these ice creams with it as well

    Serving 1 cup

    Ingredients
    1) 7/8 cup of 12% or 25% cream
    2) 1/8 cup melted butter
    3) Sugar to taste
    4) Lemon Juice few drops Maybe optional I don’t know

    Method:
    1) In a saucepan take your cream and sugar and allow to simmer for 2-5 mins on low heat.

    2) Let cool down and chill in fridge for half an hour, also chill your whisk

    3) Hand whisk for 5 mins

    And that’s it

Use this as your ice cream base or to decorate your cakes or use it in Gemma’s awesome recipes! Hope this helps and love you Gemma

BTW this recipe is from taste of health

  • I need this. This is awesome. Thank you for this Brandi from POPSUGAR!! I love love love your videos!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ #foodieforlife

  • How many hours I need to keep the banana in freezer. After blending the avacado, honey, banana. How many hour I need to put the blended paste in freezer…

  • Or you could do what my mom does if you want a little sweeter version. put the avocados in the food processor then put it into the container it should be 3/4 of the way full then fill the rest with condense milk. mix it and put it in the freezer. It’s alot easier and tastes better in my opinion.

  • So, I’m assuming you mean no Ice Cream machine? And you know, you could use a smaller food processor. I know this because I have 3 sizes.

  • I think i left my condensed milk on for a little longer, after I poured it in a container it kinda solidify, like rock texture. It’s still crumbly so maybe I can add some coconut milk and stir it but is that okay?
Also, I used homemade coconut milk

  • What can I use in replacement for the coconut milk as I hate the smell and taste of it, even if it’s mild. Is rice or oat milk okay?

  • How can i be sure that the coconut milk would have separated cream if i flip it? Will all the full fat coconut milk would yield coconut cream by flipping it?

  • This came way too much good i tried butterscotch flavor and the thing am happy about is that it didn’t form crystals yaaaayyy!! Thank u for this brilliant recipe❤

  • Mine tasted like cold Banana-Avocado Paste.

Easy fix by replacing a few minor ingredients.
    1) Substitute frozen Banana with whipped Heavy Whipping Cream
    2) Substitute Avocado with Sweetened Condensed Milk
    3) Add flavorings of your choosing
    4) freeze until firm

You now have a better Avocado Ice Cream!

  • I hate avocado and banana together! I lived in Morocco for many years and they make fruit and milk with sugar drinks my favorite was avocado but they would put banana in. All of the cafes around my house ruined quickly that no banana goes into my avocado drink I hate to call it a drink because it’s very thick and very cold. One day I Cafe had no avocados and that was what I wanted most of all so my brother-in-law ran down to the market which was lining the streets right nearby and purchase a number of avocados and gave them to the cafe in a couple of minutes I had my drink. It’s a lovely drink if you’ve never had it it’s just avocado with sugar and some milk to send it down which I use plant milk now.

  • What’s up with the ark sinking? The ark floated. The animals were saved along with a faithful man and his family. Jesus Christ is the ark. Get on board before it is too late people.

  • Since i have only 2 avocado can i amke it the next day instead of keeping it over night? Nd if i don’t have air tight continer then in which other box can i keep it in.

  • Can you use the cream from a can of coconut cream.? Isn’t that the same thing? And wouldn’t it be a better option as you get 3/4 of a can of cream instead of just a small amount out of 2 cans of coconut milk.

  • Add some chocolate powder or should’ve blended some strawberries with vanilla extract OR dark chocolate chunks and peppermint extract mmmmmm

  • its really obvious that the butter that they put in the freezer isn’t the final ice cream. im so angry with that, i supposed that they have to show us the real recipe. its really obvious that the final texture has to be maked with an ice-cream maker. and i know this, not only cause its really obvious, i know because i know a lot of cooking, im a chef and i know the truth. thats really bad guys.

  • Looks fabulous and will make..no need for a spot of lemon.OR did you not bother since it all got eaten so quickly?:) Thumbs up *
