  • Did anyone figure out why it got white at the top after cooling down? Mine did it too. Still taste great for a healthy brownie but I’m just curious. Use all same ingredients but instead of truvia I used swerve. Also I bought some chocolate chips that are 60 cal per tbls no added sugars. I used 2 tbls as well. Made them in a cupcake pan and got 10 cupcakes so according to myfitnesspal it calculated 47 cal per cupcake brownie.

  • i’m a professional baker. Just made this. its not obviously not as enjoyable as a real brownie. its more like fudge. not bad at all. substitute a whole egg with 3 tbs of egg whites, soy with almond milk. add a bit of cinnamon and if you have it a pinch of instant coffee. otherwise great recipe. mine came out to be 425 calories for the whole thing. if you have extra calories to spare must top with a bit of powdered peanut butter. note zero calorie sugar is not zero calories more like 2-3 calories a serving.

  • I react badly to artificial sweeteners so I use real sugar of the less refined variety. I too use real butter when I can. My balance is no wheat or dairy (specifically milk solids, butter doesn’t seem to bother me). These two restrictions eliminate a lot of the unhealthy stuff right off the bat!

  • You can also not slice the Jalapeños and gut them with a potato peeler. The using cold cream cheese you stuff the WHOLE jalapeño and then wrap the bacon. You essentially cut half the jalapeño off which is a waist. Also I eat those often so I love them! Lol!

  • Your pan is smaller so your brownies are thicker meaning you need to bake them longer. That’s why the middle isn’t done. Five or ten more minutes

  • I made these and if you want to enhance the flavor this is what I typically add to my brownies. I did use 1/4 cup almond milk because I think it’s thiccc compared to skim and I’m lactose intolerant. So I add 1 tbs dark brewed coffee, a packet of espresso powder, 1 tbs vanilla extract, and I topped mine with 1 tbs dark chocolate chips. I hope this helped.   • I’ve made these twice now. They actually taste like normal brownies if you add the chocolate chips, which also make them nice and melty, so do add them. Cook for 13 minutes for really gooey brownies and 15 minutes for firmer ones. It blows my mind just how low-calorie they are. This has absolutely become one of my top favorite recipes ever!
