  • Hi Melissa! I’m a “high volume eater” too, and I really like the content you create. Even though YOU are the one that usually gives us inspiration and ideas for our meals, I would like you to try a cold soba noodle platter: it’s a dish where cold soba noodles are the put in the center, and all around that you can put things like blanched spinach, edamame, tofu, grated carrots, sliced cucumber, nori seaweed, avocado, purple cabbage, soybean sprouts, shiitake, sweet corn etc… everything should be prepared without salt, because at the moment of serving you are going to pour over everything a savoury sauce made with: vinegar, soy sauce or aminos, a liquid sweetener of your choice, sriracha or another hot sauce and some ginger and garlic powder. To be honest, sometimes I add a teaspoon of toasted sesame seeds or a few drops of sesame oil, because I really like the nutty taste and you really need a veeeery TINY amount to make everything nice and “sesame-y” ��

    But I’ve got one question: if you eat in such large low calorie quantities on a daily basis, won’t this mess up your hunger cues? If you then incorporate small amounts of calorie dense foods at some point, you’re eating less again for the same calorie target. This means that your body won’t be satisfied because it is used to be eating till complete fullness.
    Wouldn’t it be better to learn your body to adjust to small portion sizes for sustainable weight loss? Then you wouldn’t have to limit certain food groups as well…

  • I went on a whole food plant based lifestyle almost a month ago, I’m feeling amazing and lost 8 pounds. But I will recommend to 100% meal prep or have everything pre cooked or sliced in your fridge otherwise you will have temptations and cheat and get discouraged ��

  • Jack’s mannerisms remind me exactly of my cat, also a black kitty! Although he has short fur and is totally black, he lifts his head up in bliss the same way when we pet him, meows the same way, and lays on things he’s not supposed to! If I have one thing laying on my entire bed, so instance, my phone, he’ll go and lay on it! Then I’ll be looking for it everywhere and when I finally realize that it’s under him, I have to risk my hand being attacked to get it out from under his belly! He’s even laid on textbooks I left on the bed. That just can’t be comfortable! Silly kitties!

  • I just made my first pita pizza and it was pretty good! I made mine with spinach,onions and peppers and shredded chicken breast. BEWARE: You need to be light on the the amount of sauce or it gets soggy quick and maybe saute the veggiesit cooks fast so the onions n peppers don’t really cook well. But all in all very good and very filling. Def will do again. TY!

  • No need to cook tomatoes, because they are already cooked before they are canned. Just throw them in the blender with the other ingredients, and then heat.

  • I have to admit, as easy as this recipe is, it’s a winner. Got home from work last night and was going to make grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. I didn’t have the soup. So, I found this recipe and it was amazing. A can of diced tomatoes, half an onion, chicken broth and unsalted butter. Salt and pepper to taste and what a treat. I don’t think I’ll ever buy store bought soup again.

I did end up adding some celery and Italian seasoning, then simmered for a while and took it to my vitamix and finally, added a little heavy cream, but didn’t really need to.   • I know this is just look at a day, but it’s actually refreshing to see you not scarfing down pounds of vegetables. I think people often forget that most whole foods are pretty low in calorie density as it is. You compliment your food with some veggies here but you don’t eat lbs of it BEFORE starch and it comes off as you not approaching this with such a restrictive mindset. I get that that way works for people, but many young and healthy individuals don’t need to jump straight to veggie stuffing when they haven’t even tried just simply eating whole plant foods first.

  • If you save the apple sauce individual containers….they also fit in the mason jars for the granola…I do this for my husbands grab and go breakfast

  • Im on a diet, already lost 20 pounds..and chicken broth is amazing… But eventually I get tired… So, I try to mix different flavors.. for example.. I like to add an small chipotle chillie or maybe sauce and some avocado in cubes to my broth.. it’s completly amazing!

    i would like to Tell you a simple tip for the granola. pur the mixture directly into the pan and mix on Low heat. It will result more homogeneous!��

  • With the butternut squash instead of water in the pan to steam it I would of used some of the leftover soup broth, it would give it some great extra flavor!

  • nice video! But don’t really think this will work for weigth loss for alot of people. Way to much kcal dence food, like rice, oat, almond, honey, peanutbutter ect. i think i would use more veggies and less kcal dence food.

  • Hello Melissa! Great video, thank you for all the good information! I just started eating this way for health reasons and weight loss, I’m 17. I have one question, is it a good option eating insted of oatmeal, some oatmeal pancakes? I usually just make them with oat flour, water and some cinamon, and then I cook them without any oil. And I have 2 or 3 pancakes with some fruit. I heard that oats are higher in calories…and maybe it’s not that good of a idea to eat pancakes because u have to use a little bit more oat flour? Anyways, thank you again for the videos and the work you put into them!

  • NO conventional gas or electric oven in that form factor can reach 450 Celsius… or 842 Fahrenheit…neither of my grills can get that hot…… you would need a very good brick oven or a high temp commercial oven to reach those temperatures…
