  • Your hearts just move me to happy tears! What a wonderful fundraising idea! This video definitely gave me alllll of the feels ❤️ Well done all!

  • Making these this weekend since I bought ground beef on sale a couple weeks ago. Thanks Jen! I have alot of this already even better! I want to try some new things.

  • I have anxiety to cook for someone else. So I’ll cook these for myself first & see how it turns out. I don’t have a cooking hand tbh

  • ℂ . , , — . -- ’ . ’ .

  • Omg.. I love Shelby she makes such fancy meals to me look so do able. I enjoy being inspired to try new meals by you and so many thank you for sharing

  • Please can some one say what is PASSATA I’m guessing its just tomato paste and nothing els if anyone knows please let me know thanks

  • For someone that can’t keep a relationship for one week,I can confirm that making one of tasty’s Recipes actually works.the last one lasted for eight days.

  • I have to line my tater tots up. It’s funny because my sister just throws her’s all over the place. She just tells me I’m OCD! Lol. I guess I am. I make my tater tot casserole different (Southern Style)
Can’t wait to see more videos this style! Thanks Jen!

  • Where there’s a will there’s a way! Guess you proved that today! Great job! There will be a catering service calling you for help after this! Treasure in heaven!

  • If you save all those cottage cheese, yogurt, etc contaiers, they make excellant pots to start garden plants in the spring. Big enough to keep from transplanting some things twice.

  • Tater tots must be symmetrical on the casserole! Lol the meat to cheese to tot ratio must be exact!!! Hahahahaha All of these recipes look amazing!

  • If you ever find yourself near a restaurant supply store, I would suggest picking up some big mixing bowls there, they are a lot less expensive than target & walmart & will last a lifetime:)

  • Hey Jen, Could you talk about how you maintain your butcher block top? Yours is the first I’ve seen that has kept the light color and is not stained. Tell us your secret!

  • Great video, Jen! Weighing in on the family debate: Tater tots MUST be lined up for, as you said, tot coverage. When you said it I was like, damn skippy!
    PSTaste of Home is awesome❤
A hot dish is what I grew up knowing as a casserole. Never heard of it til I moved to Michigan

  • Loved it! I live in Florida and have never heard of tater tot casserole until I started watching your videos. Looks good, I’ll have to give these a try.

  • what level of heat is the stovetop on while cooking the Rib Eye steak? the juice was clean (not burnt of overheated) probably Med low? it did show cooked for 30 secs then flipped but doesn’t say how long to cook it on the other side for it to turn out med rare… save the rude comments, this is only a question

  • I would love to see any freezer meals you want to make. I am going to do the same thing but I am researching on how to do it. Getting ideas from youtubes.

  • Sometimes I wonder about this channel and all the strangest combinations of ingredients and then I see them afterwards and I’m like “but it looks so gooood”

  • Great recipes. Something you can do with your stuff Peppers. Add vegetables. Whatever vegetables you like at it. I like to add a frozen bag of Gumbo mix. Which is normally corn peppers and okra. And also throw in some spinach. You get your nutrients from spinach when you cook it. In Spanish is one of those leafy greens that you can add to anything and everything hot or cold. It’s kind of really just fill out that stuffed pepper. But great recipes all around

  • I never heard of tater tot casserole until I was much older (I’m a MN transplant). When I did have it, they didn’t do cheese…maybe that’s an Iowa thing. Lol

I LOVE shepherd’s pie though. We also like hunter’s pie (use ground venison instead of ground beef).

Also, fun fact…shepherd’s pie is made with lamb or whatever. Cottage pie is ground beef. Google…answering the questions no one asks. (I was trying to look up more ground beef recipes…lol)

  • I would not have thought to line up the tots, but now that I’ve seen it I can’t unsee it. My OCD self will totally line them up from now on. I don’t see how meal prepping will save me any time, but I’m glad it works for you. I just don’t spend much time in the kitchen. One of the things I do (sort of meal prep) is buy hamburger in bulk when it goes on sale and then cook and freeze in meal size batches. I use it for tacos, nachos, spaghetti, lasagne, stuffed peppers, pizza burgers. We love pizza burgers too. Ours is just buns, jarred sauce, hamburger (pre-cooked, frozen and reheated in the microwave) or pepperoni and shredded cheese.

  • You are incredible! What a blessing you are to so many. I do have to say with me having OCD this video was so hard to watch but I still enjoyed it so much! Much Love… xoxo

  • I think the only difference with my tater tot casserole is that I mix cream of mushroom soup in with the hamburger. Then I layer the veggies then the tater tots and then shredded cheese.

  • Other YouTubers really need to watch your videos and take notes. Your meal prep is always awesome! You put a lot of work into them and it’s appreciated.

  • Great video Jen. Just an FYI the reason there was so much liquid in the ground beef was because you crowded the pan so the liquid could not evaporate, it actually boiled instead of browned.

  • I love your videos their so calming and satisfying. Also if I can’t sleep I turn on one of your videos and I’m out within minutes.

  • My family are all great home cooks so I grew up with family meals and honestly our recipes take so long to cook…
My Mom has a myriad of health issues and does all the cooking and cleaning in her home. Getting a proper meal cooked on the table every night before my Dad comes home has become an increasing struggle.

This year for Christmas I made them the Shepherd’s pie, taco soup, and tater casserole as their gift. It was a godsend as I’ve been out of work and had a lot of this stuff on hand. My BF and I doubled up the recipes and it was gifts for both of our families! Cooking full meals after Christmas is the last thing any Mum wants to do… Actually any time of year lol. But especially after Christmas… My Mum always goes overboard because Christmas is very special in our family.

Thanks Jen, and Merry Christmas to you and yours I hope it was amazing. I’m sure it was as you inspire me to be a better version of myself when I watch your videos. ❣️

  • I am convinced that if you eat rice crispies as a kid you develop arthritis. You know waking up in the morning and everything hurts and goes snap, crackle, pop.

  • The chicken roll-ups are arguably something I could call a ‘Chicken Fajita Cordon Bleu’, maybe that calls for chorizo in the vegetables.

  • Jamerrill, you knocked another one out of the park! Whoop Whoop!!
I have a question?? You stay busy, accomplish the days work, take care of the family, you and hubby both. Jamerrill, what or who is your inspiration? I only know of one other with the same drive as you…I think/I know God is at the tip top of the list as to why and should do for others..like, what get you motivated in the mornings, or when starting a project. xo

  • @jenchapin Made your tater tot casserole tonight. So delish!!! I halfed it and made it in an 8×8 glass dish and it was gone quick! Next time I’ll make the double recipe in a 9×13 for sure!

  • Wow!! For almost 2yrs of watching videos from your channel, this is the first time i saw Jadin!!!! Hahahaha!! Anyw, love your videos stay safe

  • YUM…thanks, Jen. Love the convenience of freezer meals. (Re: Shelby, over at Queen’s Cabinet…I used to think it that you two were obviously professional chefs because of the delicious meals you created.) Anywho, I’ve definitely added some of these to my freezer meal repertoire.:-D <3

  • That “eclair” was absolutely awful. An eclair is supposed to be light and delicate. Why use fresh strawberries to flavor a cream filling? You could have used strawberry preserves or even jam for that matter. Do they give strawberries away in your country? And dried strawberries on top?

  • Ramantic date: Big ugly éclair, chicken rolls and fries, mac and cheese, diabetes’ cake, potatoes and cheap lasagnas. Good luck managing to go to the bedroom after that

  • I will be trying all these recipes. Was looking for more economical recipes. Would like more ground beef recipes. Thank you so much. They all look so good.

  • LOL… I used to line-up my tater tots but I just toss ’em on top now. Love the ‘nose’ that walks around your kitchen when you’re cooking… he’s a cutie!!! These freezer meal videos are great, we all need as much help as we can get!

  • Hi jammerill, an other ladies, this is so sweet,an kind of you to help on those missions, all of yall!!!tfs, looks delicious all of the food, they will surely enjoy!!!☺️☺️♥️♥️♥️

  • Growing up Midwest, I am thinking this was called Cowboy Up?? (Something) and have done it with actually almost all other types of meat, fav being, Thanksgiving turkey and some gravy!! Hmmmmm

  • if you fold the zip line on the zip bag out, before you place them in the holder, you are keeping the zip line clean, and it’s easy not to spill anything there can prevent the bag for closing right.

  • when you were talking about Mr Travis and the teriyaki it reminded me of this story by Jeanne Robertson. Except in the case of your missions what her hubby did would probably be correct. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YFRUSTiFUs

  • Just storing all the ingredients for 40 meals would have overwhelmed me (not enough refrigerator room) let alone cook everything. I love love your new program. My dream was to have goats but I got old too fast. Haha

  • @ 11:08 I love the part where you are talking with your hands to the two ladies about layering the casserole and sprinkling cheese on top with the music playing. It looks like you’re dancing! Even Naomi looks like she is dancing before that by shifting her legs.

  • Even if you serve chicken nuggets I’ll still call it romantic date. I mean who doesnt want to date with someone who knows to fill up your tummy with food.

  • Molly Yeh on Girl Meets Farm says to make the tater tots all snuggly and neat. I can picture her saying it everytime I make this so, snuggly and neat it is!

  • How would you keep the potatoes warm while you cook the steak? Do you just pop it back into the oven while searing the steak to reheat in the residual heat?

  • On a first date would have to include a blue sky with reservations for 2 at a restaurant with a romantic view.
Then afterwards a walk on the beach shore holding hands the whole way.
Once that’s done it’ll set the mood for watching a sunset together, this is where I’d seal the end of the day with a romantic kiss .
This might also lead to not wanting the day to end so we might just enjoy ourselves possibly smoke some weed watching the stars.

  • Every time you upload a freezer cooking day I swear this is the time I will do it! We have 9 kids left at home but the grocery restrictions are so tough here in Victoria, Australia at the moment, we cant even get much chicken, meat or milk so I will have to wait some more…..

  • Who’s still watching even though she/he won’t have a date to cook for. Lol
Anyway these recipes are pretty heavy, when you have a date over you are supposed to cook something light

  • Tater Tot Casserole was served in my college cafeteria. I think when they cooked it they used too much oil. How much oil do you use in your recipe? The Pizza Burgers look great.

  • What a huge blessing you and your crew are. Naomi’s hair in “puppy tails” makes me smile. I loved when my girls use to wear their hair in puppy tails as well.

  • Naomi has really sprouted since we last saw her, what a beautiful young lady, and so good to see Jason! That was a lot of cooking going on! Magnificent!

  • Naomi is just beautiful. I used to make a Friday night meal once a month at Salvation Army. It was kind of like your teriyaki, except I used boneless chicken breast, frozen oriental veggies, all over rice. I mixed the pineapple liquid and soy sauce and cornstarch, thickened it and then mixed it with the veggies and cut up chicken boneless chicken breast. They lovvvved it and always asked for seconds.

  • I’ve never had tater tot casserole but if I ever make it I’ll totally be an ‘even tot coverage’ kinda girl. When I butter bread or spread something like peanut butter, I always have to cover the entire piece. I always say ‘coast to coast’. My girls (ages 12 and 7) have picked it up and they do coast to coast coverage, too. Those tots were coast to coast and it was so satisfying.

  • We had an exchange student from Brazil a few years back. Her hands down favorite American dish was tater tot casserole. So much so thst she requested that I make that for her and her prom date on prom night!! Lol ❤

  • Love these ideas! I would love to see a chicken version! My mother passed away last Thanksgiving and while my dad can do basic cooking he keeps saying he is getting tired of his own cooking, so I have been prepping meals for him and really needed some freezer ideas that he would like and this fits the bill, THANK YOU!

  • The stuffed pepper containers look like plastic? So do you transfer it to oven safe pan? Do you nuke it or put it in the oven? I’m definitely making these. Looked yummy.

  • Jamerrill, your children are beautiful nice to see Jaiden and Naomi on cameraNaomi has your big beautiful blue eyes love your videos

  • So I have made 3 of your meals so far and tonight I did the tater tot casserole. It was a huge hit. I had my sister and dad over and they loved it. My dad and husband drank some craft beers from here in CA for which I knew you would appreciate.

  • Somehow this reminds me of Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving when they are in the kitchen cooking up the “dinner.” I think it must be the background music. It sounds so “Peanuts” with the piano!

  • You guys did it what a wonderful job! I hope everyone loved their meals! You’re such a wonderful friend! Love Naomi’s hair! She’s got her dad’s height! My daughters best friend who is 10 1/2 is taller than me! She’s at least 5’ 3” maybe even 5’ 4”!

  • My first gf(age 17-32) is from MN. Her family calls casseroles hot dish. So, I make tater tot hot dish. I revised her moms recipe since I use ground turkey.

  • I’ ve had & love all of these recipes . Except the taco soup, I definitely want to try it! I remember pizza burgers from school, every Friday Thanks for the memories, Jen❤️

  • Yummy, I know tin foil is cheap but have you considered to use reusable products for freezing the meals. Also I like using parchment paper rather tin foil it’s safer.

  • I’m laughing right now, I never really had a date or a boyfriend I’m too shy and baby for that. I’m not ready to meet my love even if I’m 23!!

  • “Look at what you got to set the table. You’re so helpful ”

lol #mother of a toddler life.
They try their best and its adorable!!

  • So lehme get this right I already have my steak done then I sit and bake something for an hour probably do it the other way around

  • I love to hear your kiddos in the background and I love that you acknowledge them when they talk to you while your filming! Mom life!

  • I’m in New Mexico and we call it tater tot casserole! I just throw my tater tots on top because I’m not patient enough to line them up!

  • I’m currently high and if you’re listening to the music in the video, around 10:00 12:00 there’s a certain song playing that has a cling to it, so at 12:48 12:50 it looks as if the spoon scooping the butter into the pan makes the cling in the song:o

  • Jen, I’ve got to know….I see you using ground beef in the roll…I was told that the beef wasn’t as good as in the package so I buy the package. The rolls would be better for me…do you think the taste is different???? Why does the roll ground beef get such a bad rap?

  • I like the idea of doing 1 meat and creating all the meals around that. Usually there’s a great deal on 1 meat at the store… So you save $ and time:)

  • Jamerrill oh my goodness never seen you kids until nowyou have mention them in some videos but never seen them. Your daughter is adorable and beautiful and your son so handsome. So happy Naomi and Jaden stop by to help Momma. Thanks so much for sharing these moments with us and may the Lord keep blessing you. Take care girlfriend Yeehaw! Lol Love from Puerto Rico ❤❤

  • Thank you for sharing this! Such good ideas for freezer meals. I have never tried freezing my stuffed peppers, so I’m definitely going to try it. And I have never tried the tater tot casserole, so I’m going to do it this month for sure!

I would love to see more ground beef recipes and freezer meals.

  • Excellent ideas as usual! Going to try these. Thank you, Jen!! Speaking of Shelby and freezers…check out her latest video. Amazeballs.

  • I know it’s a lot of work, but it looks like SO much fun! Getting to cook and chat with a good friend in your home while your kids play together it’s the simple things like that that I feel are so fun and special ❤️

  • Can I use ricotta cheese instead of the cottage cheese and sour cream in the Millionaire Spaghetti? BTW, your children are all gorgeous! God bless you all!
