  • Guys just lock ur kitchen door then when u get hungry drink water, if u r still hungry nd u know that u are abt to unlock the door
    Just eat ur keys

  • Nice content. Get a photographer, the selfie stick is annoying. You are more focused on your camera than your work.. Distracting. You don’t need to be in every frame. Just shots of the garden would be fine.

  • This is one of my favorite videos with Dr Fuhrman & the 1st with John I really like the 2 of you together. You compliment one another and make things pretty easy to understand. John do you have any suggestions for patio or container gardening? I live in S.C. along the coast. By the way started Dr. Fuhrman’s ETL 1year ago & have lost about 85 lbs.

  • As expert, I believe Custokebon Secrets can be great way to lost a lot of weight. Why not give it a chance? perhaps it’ll work for you too.

  • LOVE that you use a point system makes it a little bit easier we think! and of course we LOVE that you make hot lemon water to start off your day….do you have any other morning routines???

  • Wow! I just found website NextLevelDiet and read their fitness tips and recipes. I can’t wait to get my diet and training plan from that site and transform my body. Summer body, here I come!

  • hey john iv’e not seen your opinion on compost humanure. I’m days away from taking out my toilet and replacing with bucket and seat to humanure bins. what say you? in Floyd VA.

  • I made an absolute killer sweet and sour sauce with grated fresh green Fig, Lime juice, wine vinegar, tomato juice, ginger and paprika. It tastes so good that Im afraid to eat it:-D

  • Ive tried the blueberry oatmeal today, ive used unsweetened almond milk instead of water to cook my oats and it was very nice. Thank you for the recipe.

  • GUYSSS! When she said half a cup, half a cup, half a cup… it looks like it’s so big but when you remake the over night oats it looks like it’s so little and will NEEEEEVER fill you up. Let me tell you: I had 3 spoons and was stuffed…Oats DO fill you like crazy and not only are they healthy but they keep you full longer which makes them so great for weight loss since you won’t be snacking all the way up till lunch

  • How is counting point not counting calories? You have to count/weight/read label to find out how much food is 100 calories or 1 point, isn’t that the same process?

  • Loving sooo much watching you! Soooo inspirig!!! Can anyone tel me what’s the watch she use to count her calories burning…? Thanks!!!

  • guys, avocados need so much water to grow, it’s insane. Maybe we should think about reducing our consume of avocados, because water is very precious

  • I feel she uses too much fruit. This could probably help people who are somewhat chubby, but not too chubby, can use as a diet.
But I do understand that not all diets are fixated to all bodies.

  • I loved the video. I love Dr. Fuhrman. I had no idea he gardened and he is so knowledgeable!.I really liked his method of moving his potted plants.

  • Hey ^^ very good ideas, thank you so much! I can’t eat banans, can I replace it with something else in the first breakfast idea please??

  • Is Custokebon Secrets effective to lost lots of weight? We’ve learn numerous good things about Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine).

  • I just found your videos and I really want to start following some recipes and getting on a good meal plan. My only issue is that I hate salmon, avocado, and tomatoes which are in so many healthy eating meals. Is there anything I can replace in your recipes that are similar in nutrition? Hopefully I can get some variation ideas instead of constantly eating chicken.

  • Had a question about Nitrate sensitivity..I discovered I have a sensitivity years ago and stopped eating cured meats, are these the same type of nitrates/nitrites that naturally occur in foods? Thank you.

  • How do you keep you weight of? I’m struggling so bad with it and I don’t know what to do. I lost 12 kg and I gained 4 again but I wanna lose it again

  • Surely Dr. Fuhrman can afford professional videos?! The subject matter was interesting but the video and at times muted sound was distracting.

  • Dr Furhman and his garden are great! But you ruined the video unfortunately… You could have focused the camera completely on the Dr and the plants without you being in it at all

  • I lost 35lbs following your recipes, I am trying to loose the last 5-10 pounds and I am struggling!! I am watching this for inspiration

  • Omg loved those recipes!! i needed a low cal salad dressing so badly. N the other two recipes r great to have anytime of the day. Loved em. Thank u. Brilliant!!

  • Just made the chocolate smoothie bowl. I halves the recipe because it’s more calories than I wanted to eat for breakfast. Honestly, I just taste banana. I’d rather make a chocolate banana shake and have more to go in my stomach for the same calories.

  • John: Tell Dr Furhman to check out backtoedenfilm here on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rPPUmStKQ4 for an amazing way to grow vegetables and fruit trees! YOU too! The method works everywhere.. Dr Fuhrman, thank you for sharing your lovely garden and home with us. Thank you John for going there so we could see. Fun to see Dr Fuhrman just chilling at home!

  • Because of bugs, slugs and parasites, shouldn’t you sanitize vegetables before eating? I don’t trust any unsanitized produce anymore, not even those that state “triple washed” on the package. I’ve been soaking them in vinegar solution for 10min before processing/eating since I discovered the horrors of the parasite world.

  • john thanks for all the in formations that you presenting to your viewers but please, stop interrupting your guests. Ask your guest questions and let them answer your question.

  • Some will say guys like this are just “trying to sell you something.” Not these two! They LIVE the life they promote and we ALL should live this way!! I’m envious of no one. But these two. I come close!!

  • What does everyone recommend to use instead of bananas? I only used one for the first recipe (chocolate pudding) to cut back on the banana taste and even with that it was still overpowering.

  • Hey guys! I hope you like this video and find it helpful! It is a longer one but I go super into detail of how I’ve lost 5 Lbs super quickly and am half way to my goal weight.
Here are the times of the recipes/ meals if you want to skip ahead..

  • As always a great video. The SS caused movement is distracting but your expressions while working with it are almost frightening. Thanks

  • I GOT SIX PACK IN ONE MONTH!!! I took diet plan from NextLevelDiet. With their diet plan and tips, transformation is guaranteed, trust me. They also provide you with training plan and healthy recipes.

  • To make the matcha latte a little bit cuter for presentation try a small pinch of matcha or cinnamon on top (cinnamon is great for health and gives the latte a lovely pick me up flavour)

  • Fire your cameraman who prefers to see you scowl rather than mic’ing Dr. Fuhrman and showing what he is talking about. So tired of your loud voice and maybe you wouldn’t scowl so much if you didn’t have to worry about your cameraman. Just saw your comment about the selfie stick. It’s a definite “No.”

  • Great video, John, but I almost blew chuncks watching you eat from the Dr.’s hands. He was constantly rubbing the dripping sweat off his face and scratching his head with his hand. He then offered you the vegetables to taste with those same hands. It was also pretty gross when he gave you the dehydrated kale to taste after repeatedly putting his fingers in and out of the chips. You ate everything without a second thought. Extra salty, I guess, from all the sweat. I’m sure you realize sweat is one of the body’s ways of removing toxins. I know everyone was acting in good faith but a little awareness doesnt hurt. Just a heads up in case you go back to visit and it is a hot day. Peace.✌

  • It is great that you filmed and posted an 1:20 minutes at Dr Fuhrman’s garden. Seeing Dr Fuhrman in his woods instead of on a stage is rare, it shows his human, down to earth, walking the talk on his path. Deep gratitude and appreciation to both of you.

  • My husband blood sugar was 160’s. He was considered pre-diabetic. I bought him Dr Joe Fuhrmans book on curing diabetes. His sugar is normal!! Simple diet changes! Natural Whole Foods!! Thank you Dr Fuhrman!!

  • I really enjoyed this. So much that I started a Facebook group called “The Nutrarian Garden”. I would love to share with other Nutrarian gardeners.

  • Lol. Come by my house after July 1 and I can load you up on figs. My one tree averagely produces 1 1/2 gallons every other day for at least 2 months.

  • My worlds are colliding. I’ve been following Dr. Fuhrman’s Eat to Live since 2003. And watching John’s gardening videos for a few years. Eating nutritarian and gardening. So cool to see them together. Both really dedicated to and really good at helping people. Thank you both.

  • old video. BUT, a supposed chief or culinary person should be able to taste the differences in the verities. they are WAY different.

  • Wow what a great video. Being a keen gardener and having just started eat to live way of eating found this very inspiring. Thanks for making this.

  • I don’t think you needed to be in the frame it’s very off putting you using the selfi stick when trying to see plants, listen to Dr F and you. you just seemed a bit distracted at times.
Nice episode with the Dr, he’s saved so many people with his knowledge of plant-based eating and reversing disease.

  • Really only breakfast #2 would help with weight loss. All the other breakfasts have way too many carbs and sugars. Fruit or not, that causes a spike in insulin which will lead to weight gain if you are not incorporating exercise to make sure you burn off excess sugars. In breakfast #1 that is two whole bananas. Bananas are high glycemic and loaded with sugars (hopefully the fat in the avocado would slow the digestion of the sugars). Just saying

  • I have a question. Whenever you spoke, you were you… what or who were you looking at when he was speaking? It seems like either your camera-person or someone or thing near them was giving you s***. You looked like every time you faced the camera you were giving them a scowl and then evil-eye’. This was shot 2 years ago, but I’ve never seen you like that before.

Even though it was 2 years ago, I’m praying for you today. You and your vlogs have been an inspiration to me and my ever expanding garden. I just wanna say thank you! Keep up the great work!!

  • Really nice & amazing recipe, we also did oats recipe with kidney beans, and some fresh fruits to make it delicious and also a complete meal at the same time that could be had as breakfast, lunch or dinner.

  • My currently target is by any means to loose atleast 5-6 kilo sooner then I am done I love ur advices and ur recipes easy-to-use & healthy snacks many thnx

  • This Doctor is correct when he says the foods we consume in our society causes side effects that are displayed emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. What he didn’t bring out is that the whole food industry has been designed to do just that and it doesn’t stop with the food we consume. Everything in this physical realm we all reside in at the moment is designed and made to destroy ourself and it all starts with destroying any hope or chance one would have to try to build a relationship with our Father. I just can’t believe there aren’t more people that understand this and realize we are in a physical world and a spiritual world is manipulating and controlling every part of this physical world.
This time we are in right now is a time where Truth is going to shine on all the darkness that has been controlling us and has been right in front of our face since we took our first breath. The prophets talked about it, our Messiah told us about it and it is written about in our Bible, yet most choose to be hypocrites and ignore the signs of the times that are clearly visible for anyone to discern.
    God bless y’all

  • Wowzer, I never thought that chocolate would have been in your 5 healthy breakfast ideas lol. Obviously, I was incorrect. Going to keep watching:) thanks:)

  • I’m allergic to banana but would love to try some of these, does anyone know a good substitute I could use, or at least have an idea for one I could perhaps try out?

  • thx for the vid.. but if you are going to say.. cut a fig in half.. fill it with blue cheese and then wrap with prosciutto… then grill…..and you only show us the non grilled fruit..

    sorta lame

  • Very inspiring, educational, and fun! I bought and read most of Dr. Fuhrman’s books, and I follow his principles closely. It was so good to see him in his garden, eating the greens, the fruit, and the beans right off the plant, and having fun with it. Could you tell me where I could buy a fig plant that could be grown in the pot?

  • 2 and a half bananas and more bananas and top? That is so not healthy, banana is good but excessive ANYTHING, even if a healthy food, is not good for weight loss

  • WONDERFUL! I LEARNED A LOT. One problem I have is if I eat raw oinions I can taste them in my mouth for the entire next day. I’ve been like that for 50 years. Tourmeric is also a problem for me too taste wise. But I take capsules and that helps. I just can’t eat oinions raw. So I hope i’m still getting benefit from them cooked.

  • The dinner idea tastes absolutely amazing and is also really filling (I used broccoli, fresh tomatoes and baby spinach)!! I love it and gonna make it more often! love your videos:)

  • Milky Spore is a great way to control Japanese Beatles. It breaks their life cycle in one of their most damaging stages, when they are grubs feeding on roots. 2 applications can last 10-15 years!

  • I followed the exact same recipe for the chocolate smoothie bowl but mine came out a lot lighter…does anyone know why?? it was still really good tho

  • John. U r amazing. I am a newby gardener. On aug 11 2019 my daughter Colleen and I started CMACSHACK FLOWER GARDENS on our 3 1/2 acre rented farm in rural Dundas Ont. It was a great steep learning curve. As she was the head gardener she selected the seeds and used toilet paper rolls and newspaper to grow seedlings in her apartment in the beaches area in Scarboro. To make a long story short Colleen is now in pemberton bc. I started early seeding zinnias dahlias etc under fluorescent lights. As the pandemic loomed I switched to tomatoes other vegs and berries and as many edible flowers I could find. I now have 888 seedlings started and I’ve already planted 3 44 ft rows including potatoes and so far all are thriving. Obviously I am a one man show but what else is more important right now than growing lots of organic ( natural ) food. I’ve watched many of your videos and even though you live in beautiful l California ; one of my fav places in the world. In my other life I visited 33-44 times. But you got me going and a monster (good) has been created. This video with Dr Furhman WOW what an amazing encyclopedia. And that’s his hobby??!! He must be an amazing Dr as well. I thank you John from the bottom of my heart. I never imagined I would be growing a food forest in the 80th year of my life but I love this experience. I plan to make with fresh food and flowers this summer. Thanks

  • It’s still astonish me just how a lot of people have no idea about Custokebon Secrets even though lots of people with it. Thanks to my buddy who told me about this. I have lost lots of fat.

  • Good day Liezl. I just recently discovered your channel
and I have to say I am truly enjoying it, I love your videos! Like a lot of women, I have
struggled with weight loss over the years. I would lose weight only to gain it
all back again. It was a yo yo system for me and I was getting very frustrated
trying to lose weight. I have recently discovered a new program which I would
like to share. It has helped me lose weight and it has boosted my self-esteem a
lot. I am currently down 25 pounds and still going strong.  I hope it helps others as well. It can be

  • WOW iv’e followed Dr.Fuhrmans teachings for many years. Iv’e had our local library buy all his books. this was a true treat, you can also hear his words of wisdom in movie Fat,Sick and Nearly Dead. thank you John for using layover time better then the rest of us. Love you!!!

  • I wish you would have linked the company you buy your matcha from! I’m trying to get into matcha myself and I could only guess you meant from the Tea’s Me Company.

  • What a Great episode! Both of you have genuine passion for teaching us how to truly Live! Dr. Fuhrman+you John definately convey your Joy and purpose for growing your own food!! I learned So Much today! Appreciate you both So Much!! Thank you! P.S. The selfie stick works well

  • Those are some cool plants you shared with him. When I get growing more and more I want to encounter those super plants to grow at home like that… not that other plants aren’t super too:) He has a nice house and property to have such a small garden!

  • Hey! If you need probiotics have you heard of Arbonne? We have digestion plus which has probiotics, prebiotics, and digestive enzymes. It’s vegan and gluten free & we ban over 2,000 ingredients. Here’s my link if you want to check it out. I can also get you 20-35% off too if you want: https://www.arbonne.com/pws/AlyssaMasone/store/AMUS/product/Digestion-Plus-2063,1470,272.aspx

  • I’m a nutritarian and a gardener. I love Dr. Fuhrman and was so excited to see this video and see him show his garden he always talks about.

But I had to give it a dislike because of the absolutely terrible camera work and narration.

Point the camera at Dr. Fuhrman and what he’s talking about.

People clicked this to view Dr. Fuhrman and his garden.

You shouldn’t be in every frame at the exclusion of the subject matter.

    And let him talk more.

You ramble a ton and often he was trying to find a chance to interject.

  • I’ve been reading the comments and I’m quite lucky to live in a country where I can get this stuff for a fair amount but the problem for me is all the organic and healthier options tend to be super expensive, e.g healthy whole grain bread, organic fruit and veg, etc.

Also I want to say this in case it happens to anyone else. I was doing one of her meal prep videos and part of it includes overnight yogurt bowl. I was doing everything correct and I had healthy Greek yogurt and banana with the right proportions and almonds. Now I had been doing a bit more exercise then normal and eating salads which had already gotten me a few small results but nothing I was sure of and so I wanted to start doing meal preps. Doing meals preps would make it easy to make my own dinners, make it easy to get food to pack for school and gave me more options then just salads.

Huge problem though, almost all of the things I needed were super expensive and my parents didn’t want to spend ages with me in the shops after a long day looking for what we need (half the time the shop didn’t even sell the stuff we needed). But one of the things I could make was those yogurts bowls I mentioned.

Now keep in mind that I already was eating healthy and doing the right stuff to stay healthy I just wanted to make it a bit easier to do. So even with all the obstacles the meal plan was going ok.

I realised I had started to put on some weight after about a week of doing the meal plan (one meal prep is for one week). I was really confused and was super annoyed at myself wondering why this had happened then I remember a video I had watched from a professional explaining why you get “love handles” and how to lose them. Part of it said things you should avoid/cut down on. One of the biggest things she mentioned was **yogurt**.

I was thinking to myself “I thought that video had some good stuff but I didn’t realise it was all correct”. After about two weeks I had gained a significant amount of weight and was heavier then when I started. I became super depressed and I hated myself for about another week being embarrassed I couldn’t fit into my shorts. I seriously had a mental breakdown and cried (I never cry unless I’m watching a movie or something really sad has happened like someone died so this was big for me).

Luckily the next day I was motivated to lose it all so now I am doing even more exercise. The day I had a breakdown was three days ago. Obviously I’m not going to be losing weight super fast but I’m trying and hopefully I get there in time. I really just wish that she didn’t add foods that make you gain weight and that are too expensive because so many people have to deal with something they shouldn’t have to.

I hope you all have an amazing day and take care of yourself

  • I have 2 trees, before i was picking from 3 trees and there are times we have picked 50lb or more but not enough time so i just put them in the freezer, without cooking or boil them up with bit of water. Then make 2 lb pack and freeze them. Either way you can use them in savory or sweet recipes. They do have a white milk or sap, that can burn you if you eat to many off the tree. Cooking kills that white sap allergic affect. I have learn to wear full clothes, mask, googles when picking fruit and they are always better than store bought.

  • I hate that I like you and your videos so much. Pleasant speaking voice, personality and the best recipes I’ve seen on YouTube. Grrrr.

    ❤❤❤

  • Have been aware of MD Joel for years and have read several of his books, initially became aware of him thru Joe Cross’s video and book “Fat, sick and nearly Dead”

  • Nice garden, although a little on the “nature improved” side for me. While the local environment drove some of the engineering such as the use of pots, barriers etc I prefer a less interventionist approach

  • I have to chuckle with you guys nibbling on stuff all over the garden. I do the same during our extremely short growing season. I eat my breakfast in the garden while checking on all my plants. Lunch is the same and often supper too.

  • You’re Videos help me so much because we have the same taste in food. I’m struggling to find healthy recepies cause everyone just eats oatmeal and chicken

  • What do you think about Hunterdon County New Jersey John beautiful huh????? like nothing you could’ve imagined. By the way what’s the story with all the likes in your speech John? You sound like an educated guy. does everyone from California talk that way. you can’t get through a sentence without saying like!! Just sayin.

  • That’s the same amount of calories I’d have in a normal breakfast?.. Like sure they’re healthy but yeah that’s not going to help with weight loss… At least in my case it won’t.

  • This is my favorite episode! I eat off my plants like that! Just chomp them right off. I get some strange looks from friends and neighbors but I love it.:-D

  • Absolutely no hate but it is actually not good for the body to drink lemon water all the time. Yes it helps with weight loss but that is because it sucks the moisture from the body and can actually cause more harm to the body over a long period of time

  • Hi Liezl, thank you for this cool video. I will definitely at some point try these recipes. One suggestion for this video and maybe for others is that it would be cool if you could write the portion as a text in the video. Sometimes this helps watcher a lot. For example if you are in the train and you don’t have headphones with you then it would be easier to see the portion with text instead of increasing volume to such level that other people next to you might get annoyed when someone watches a video lol:D

  • I have a problem that I need help with…I hate vegetables. They look delicious but when they go into my mouth I just get sick…I’ve been trying for years to like them but nothing is working…what do I do?
Edit: I try to eat them almost every day but it never gets any easier…I’m at a complete loss…

  • Thanks for this video. I live in NJ also not far from Flemington. I havce deer, fox, bear, coyote, mountain lion, groundhogs, rabbits, possum and racoons. All of them love my garden as well.

  • Instead of drinking lemon water, I just make green tea with lemon in it. I assume it’s the same effects (or better) but I just cant eat plain hot lemon water

  • i thought cameraman was rubbish as you did not show details when Dr Fuhrman was explaining and showing things Only faces No problem to use the selfie stick but you should have focused on the subject what is been explained at the time

  • Sliders, body weight squats, bosiet ball front lunges, courtesy squats.. do this 4 times through for 30mins..

  • 2 months ago, I was fat and had single. Now I have great body and a girlfriend. Coincidence? I wouldn’t say. Trust me guys, all you need is training and diet plan. You can get both from *Next Level Diet*.

  • So you’re a doctor and you’re selling a book and claiming that by eating these foods people can get rid of their diabetes. So if I buy your book and eat according to your book and get off my medication, if I die, does my family hold the rights to sue you since you’re a doctor and claiming that these foods will cure my diabetes?

The reason I ask is because my step dad did this, got off his diabetes medication due to a claim that certain food will cure him, now he is on kidney dialysis and waiting for a kidney transplant.

  • I think you are beautiful. One of the reasons why I have followed you was cause you have a similar body type as mine. I hope this doesn’t offend you, but I noticed you have heavy/chubby arms (like myself) I have lost weight 45lbs two years ago but my arms stay chubby. Have you had any success in toning them? I wonder if my BMI will have to drop super low for me to see noticeable results. I do strength train and that may be where I’m lacking. But it’s definitely genetics and I have been told you can’t spot reduce. Anyways, If you have had success will you please share…

  • Thank you John! I’ve never met Dr. Fuhrman! Love the garden! Love both you wanting folks to know all these things. Question-Commercial friesnot good. Oils I cook fries innot good. So are potatoes good for us as long as not fried? Also, where would peppers fall into the GBOMBS type of diet?

  • Ik this video was uploaded a long time ago amd i dont know if anyone will answer me but…..lets try

So on the second dish you used mushroom I personally dont like mushroom (or egg cus it makes me feel like vomiting) so can i use anything else other then mushroom

  • Holy shit, am I glad to have come across this video! This is exactly what I’ve been trying to learn about, but I never know who to trust. Dr. Furhman is spot on with the science and statistics, and that’s what I look for. I’ve got a long list of other videos queued up now of talks he’s given and i can’t wait to dig in and shed these bullshit medical problems! Hooray!!

  • I tried making the cocoa hot chocolate thing; so I made it and then after I had taken a few sips (I really liked it) I realized that there was a BABY SPIDER in my drink WITH SOME OF IT’S LEGS FLOATING ON THE SURFACE! So I ran back into the kitchen and opened the bag of cocoa AND THERE WERE A BUNCH OF TINY SPIDER EGGS IN THE BAG! So ye that was compete fail. (don’t judge I have bad eye sight)

  • Thank you Liezl! I will be incorporating the matcha latte and protein hot cocoa in my meal plan! I understand the point system is to help stop counting calories on a daily basis. I will first set up my low calorie meals so that I no longer have to worry about counting calories. Thanks again! ❤☕❤

  • Hi girl I’m gonna try this points system I hate calorie counting it has been confusing to me I keep going back and forth and I’m gonna try this. But one question. How do I know how much to eat… and what about when we workout do we eat more?

  • Super helpful! I’m on a weight loss journey. Down 4 pounds which doesn’t sound like a lot but I spent the last 6 months going up and down 2 pounds…
