  • The Thai Red curry soup was delicious and so flavorful! It took me longer than 15 mins, but it was well worth it! My partner said it’s the best thing we’ve ever made, and we’ve made some decent meals! Thai Kitchen by McCormick makes a decent red curry paste! The jar is very small though, so I recommend getting 2 so you can make this again!

  • Don’t get me wrong…I imagine that it cost thousand of dollars for a web designer. but navigating it thru the first time, is scary. I love the taco with tempeh….did you make it, what beans is it and how you do it? good stuff, it’s better homemade!!!   • I made the Tempeh Tacos with Cashew Lime Cream recipe last night. I actually meal prepped the lentils, cooked them, added the spices, put it in the fridge. Then sauted the shallots and garlic and added the lentils to warm up when I made dinner last night. I did not like the cashew lime sauce… You can skip this part because the tacos are delish by them self with just simple toppings like avocado and tomato.

  • For the Pea & Basil Pesto Pasta recipe i used Pistachio nuts instead of Pine Nuts because pine nuts are really expensive in South Africa…

    It also helps if u throw some salt over the pistachios while you pan-roast them

  • This curry soup man. It is so on point, I’ve made it so many times (although I can’t find thick whole grain rice noodles, only vermicelli which I like much less…) I am obsessed. I’ve made the pesto pasta too multiple times.

  • You must NEVER rinse the pasta. Also, perferably, you want to add a bit of the pasta cooking water to the sauce. These are just pasta basics.
    But the dishes look good:)

  • Putting the chicken and the vegetables at the same time+water. Dude, that is going to boil the chicken, which is already cooked, which just makes the chicken super dry and it has no seared surface. I dont know about that one:/

  • I attempted the first recipe. It came out nicely. This coming from someone who has virtually no experience cooking; this is pretty much the first recipes I have ever attempted to follow (I’m not joking). The most difficult part was finding all the items at the grocery store. Is coconut milk different than full fat coconut? Also I think the diced tomatoes I bought are more watery in the can so it caused the curry to be more watery. Other than that it came out very nice and was actually super easy to cook and prepare.

    Note to others there is a printable page with the recipe from the link in the description, which was helpful to have.

  • I just hate how all recipe videos whether on this channel or other channels almost always include “coconut milk” and “coconut oil”. These are VERY expensive in my country.

    I love yoir content however can you please provide substitutes as many of the ingredients that you use aren’t available to me like stuff from Asian market like some sauces, pastes, rice noodles and tempeh.
    And some of the veggies like Arugula, avocado, asparagus etc.

  • My nerd self just showed up while this. Notice the red flame in the burner he’s using. It looked weird so I Googled it. Google says it means that the fuel he’s cooking with isn’t properly combusting, which means it’s not burning efficiently and it can be fairly dangerous. Does anyone else see a red flame?

  • Sorry, I like a lot of your recipes, but this video gets a lot of stir frying fundamentals wrong.

    Your aromatics (the ginger and garlic) shouldn’t be added to the sauce, as they won’t cook well and release their flavours. Aromatics need to be cooked first so that they flavour the oil, which will infuse their flavours in the other ingredients. The meat should also be marinated prior to cooking. A simple marinade like a bit of soy sauce, corn starch, sesame oil and shaoxing wine would make a world of difference.

    Also a little tip: a little bit of fish sauce is a fantastic addition to a lot of Asian recipes. It provides a huge umami hit that makes dishes taste way better

  • Thanks for the inspiration! I used chicken thighs and marinated them quickly in just a little bit of fish sauce and tamari/soy, and used sugar-free honey & brown sugar subst to make it keto. It was so delicious!

  • I just made the curry and it’s super good! Swapped Coriander for parsley, fresh ginger for powdered, and kale for spinach. Used a full can of coconut oil, drained chickpeas, and diced tomatoes and eyeballed the rest.
