  • Although 21g per day is far more guar gum than anyone would reasonably encounter in their diet, even small amounts could cause unpleasant symptoms in those with sensitive digestive systems, and I’ve had patients with gut issues improve after removing guar gum from their diet. With that in mind, I think it makes sense to avoid guar gum if you have gut issues, like small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) or IBS, unless you’ve removed it and added it back in without noticing any harmful effects.

  • Why EGG WHITES… It is not good for Vegans… it is like eating Ovaries from a chicken.
    You only need Guar Gum + maybe a little powdered Irish Moss (light color) or even a little Organic virgin Coconut oil.

  • Hi I don’t want to be rude, but stevia in the raw or any commercial stevia product is a not fully stevia, it is mixed with maltodextrin, which is used in artificial sweeteners. ❤️ Thanks

  • thanks for sharing your recipe, i tried them all so far and want to ask if you can share your brand of coconut milk? i typically keep coconut milk on hand always but buy it in the carton (the sat fat content is a bit lower) but ordered organic unsweetened coconut milk in the can and it arrived but is just as liquid as my usual brand. in this video, your coconut “milk” looks more like coconut cream… could you or anyone here share their brand of coconut milk that isn’t in liquid form? thanks so much.

  • When ever you eat an unhealthy food, you are substituting that food for a healthy food…So it’s a double whammy. No Fiber, no antioxidants, bad cholesterol and high in sugar.

  • Perfect for my pre-diabetic friend who drinks waayyy too many expensive frappacinos from Starbucks. I found the guar gum at Amazon where they have a lot of other low carb ingredients. Albertson’s Supermarket has a big selection but not guar gum. I used a regular egg white having no whites in a carton.   • Gotta try this. I love almond milk and love ice-cream but I was looking to find a low carb option because of my diabetes. this is perfect. The only calories in this item are coming from the almond milk and egg whites, and barely at all any from the coffee. Perfect.

  • What can i use instead of coconut milk?
    Last time I tried a recipe with just frozen bananas and coocoa powder.But it was liquid even after I froze it again after blending.This happened to me thrice.But for the recipe’s pictures were just like icecream.Any suggestions?
    And by the way I like recipes with less ingredients [as many ingredients arent easily available]

  • I’d normally use half an ice cube tray for espresso, and the other half for cashew milk (less maintenance to make than almond milk, imho). Then I’d use a tablespoon or two of sugar-free Torani syrup of some sort for flavoring, along with around 1/2 cup of cashew milk… Having a Vitamix 6300, which has a preset for frozen desserts, I’ll take the tamper, and press all those ice cubes down, and boy, does that blend well, just as long as I can get the four mounds to form, and take without having to use the darn tamper the whole time.

  • Looks really good. Thanks for the recipe. One question though. Does the stevia leave any after taste in this recipe. I tried Stevia and Splenda in my coffee and both leave an awful aftertaste with each sip.

  • I just made the chocolate peanut butter one and I didn’t have a food processor and I have a blender but it cannot handle that lol so I had mixed it and it is so goood! I put it in the freezer to harden a bit and I feel I might make this again if I ever need a quick ice cream

  • I finally got to try this one tonight. Not bad at all. The hard one to find was the guar gum, and I could not get the toffee extract so I substituted it with sugar-free chocolate. All and all not bad for those of us who like ice cream, but not the 1k calories and fat that come with it. Thx much =)

  • Definitely trying this recipe! Currently out of my protein powder atm but when I get more I will haha. I saw that you use 1UP for your protein-have you tried Ghost whey/some other flavor? Imo they have the best but I haven’t tried 1UP yet. Also pb2 is a favvvv of mine, the vanilla and chocolate pb2 versions are great. Can’t wait to try this recipe!   • Just made the mint chip… SO GOOD. The bananas I froze last night were a little overripe so I could definitely taste them but other than that it was so good. I would also recommend that people don’t blend for longer than necessary because the chips get smaller and smaller ��

  • One does not need to be already diagnosed with diabetes to avoid sugar or choose a healthier option with an alternative sweetener such as stevia, monkfruit or erythritol. You also want to try to reduce your risk for developing metabolic syndrome and T2DM, not to mention slow the rate at which you age. So, you’re better off choosing the healthier options even if you don’t already have full blown diabetes — don’t listen to her. And suggesting conventional ice cream is healthy is ridiculous. Also, regular ice cream is extremely hyper-palatable, so I have no idea why she is claiming you’ll be less prone to cravings if you consume sugar-laden ice cream considering how insulinogenic and dopaminergic it is. You can make a healthier version to virtually anything, and ice cream is no exception. I have an MS in Nutrition and Metabolism, RDN, and BS in Nutrition/dietetics and biology in case anyone was wondering what my qualifications were to make a point.
