  • THAT IS ONE LUCKY FORTUNATE HAPPY HUSBAND! thank you sweet pea you got my attention! your tactics is helping me to learn how to cook and prep! and eat responsibility! SUBSCRIBED! and a THUMBS UP! TY:) and thank you youtube!

  • Timestamps for the actual recipes
Slow Cooker Garlic & Olive Oil Shredded Chicken: 1:16
Slow Cooker Barbecue Shredded Chicken: 3:03
Slow Cooker Mexican Shredded Chicken: 5:02
Slow Cooker Buffalo Shredded Chicken: 6:41

  • i was a little intimidated by that smile:/.. btw.. some/many rice-cookers have an added tray so you can steam food while rice is cooking.. or while the rice-cooker is on “keep warm”…

  • What size and make & model is your slow cooker?

I have an instant pot but the inside of the inner-pot chipped so the I can see the black inside ( I got a new inner pot and the same thing happened) so I am back to my old trusty slow cooker. Thanks.

  • Great video! I’m learning how to cook because of covid-19. Your presentation and instructions are simple and easy to follow. I’m most excited to try the barbecue and Mexican shredded chicken recipes! Cheers

  • You don’t need to rinse chicken. In fact, the CDC now recommends against it, because it’s more likely to cause contamination to do all that handling of it and getting raw chicken juices in the sink. The cooking kills the nasties in the raw chicken. Also, I’m not a guy. Thumbs down for sexist language:( Hopefully I can give you a thumbs up next time.:)

  • You know I am totally not interested in cooking videos and new recipes but I love you so much and your positive energy and the way you express yourself (and Vinnie OC) that I watched it and I don t regret!:)

  • I want to make a plain kind that I can then add to other things. I’ll do the plain one and then split it into freezer containers. They all sound yummy. Thanks for sharing. I’m definitely adding thighs. I’ve never liked white meat.

  • Dude. You’re awesome. What other snacks do you eat during the days? Off days? You have any advice on how to add fish to your weekly diet without cooking more than once a week? Definatly dont want to mix fish and chicken in crock pot. Doesn’t sound too tasty haha. Thanks

  • Over the past two weeks I’ve made all these recipes and they are all fantastic. Especially the buffalo chicken. Thank you so much for this video!

  • Great job! Just a little note ;microwaving kills all the nutrients in your vegetables buy a small steamer and get the fresh vegetables more micronutrients

  • this woman looks like shes staring into my very soul… judging my cooking skills through the computer screen… thanks for the tips!

  • please make more videos like this! I looked at your channel and it doesn’t appear youve done recipe videos in about a year. This is truly awesome.

  • When she said boneless skinless chicken breast and then said boneless skinless chicken THIGHS I shed a grateful tear. Breast on their own are dry

  • Thank you for the video! May i ask, is frozen chicken breasts okay? Or should i thaw it out 1st or buy non-frozen from the market? What works best in your opinion when crockpotting. Thanks

  • Why are you rising the chicken? Ypu are splashing bacteria everywhere. No need to wash it because your going to cook the bloody thing

  • LOVE THAT YOU PUT YOUR YUMMY DELICIOUS RECIPES UNDERNEATH SO WE CAN HAVE THEM FOR LATER FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO CANNOT COOK MAKES IT EASIER THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING AND CARING

  • Good vid bro but if I can make a suggestion, get a Sistema microwave steamer for the vegetables instead as those plastic bags still leak chemicals into your food. Plus, the steamer costs under $20 which is really not bad!

  • On the BBQ chicken recipe, why do you have sea salt and pepper on there twice with 2 different amounts? Not sure how much to use, thanks!

  • So happy for your success and plans moving to Cali! Even though you are taking on another avenue in your videos would love to see more on food prep along the way! Good luck on your new journey and much success!!! Love watching you and all of your enthusiasm!

  • I can’t wait to try these! I will try the bbq first! I’ve never liked to cook chicken in the crock pot because they came out almost mushy. I WAS COOKING THEM TOO LONG! I LOVE cooking and shredding chicken in advance and keeping them in meal-sized bags to pull out and quickly & easily heat when needed. THANKS!!!

  • Step 1: Watch video
Step 2: Find motivation to actually try it.
Step 3: Decide it’s easier to just order take out.

    Jk.
Thanks for the video. I do intend to give this a try.
Hardest part is touching the raw meat… But I’m being better at that.

  • My mother gave me a crockpot and I’ve been looking at videos for ideas. I have your exact recipe cooking now! Can’t wait looks delish

  • Thanks man, this gave me a good path to follow. Couple things if you want to boost flavor:

    1) Start with 2 cups (or more if you’re feeling saucy) of chicken stock, then top off with water. Use fat-free, low sodium stock if you like. NOTE: you will be adding a few calories by doing this, but the enjoyment is worth it, I feel.

    2) If you REALLY wanna spice it up, take your chicken stock and water, and pour it into a pot. Add your seasoning of choice (lemon pepper or cajun works amazing, but you do you), put over high heat and bring to a boil and stir. Boil for a few minutes and let those flavors really permeate that liquid. Take the pot off the heat and throw it in the fridge (put the pot on a folded towel if you have a fancy fridge with glass shelves so there’s no chance the glass will shatter). Let cool completely. Use THAT as your braising liquid. Goddamn that’s some flavor!

  • I’m thinking about cooking chicken breasts in the exact same way as in this video but i am wondering if the finished breast still has the same weight as if it were raw? (trying to log everything i eat)

  • I’ve seen videos where they add water to the chicken in the crockpot. So is adding water to the crockpot before cooking the chicken a good thing or a bad thing??

  • This guy eating the most bland chicken. Cutting off all the fat like wtf? The slow cooker will break all that stuff down. Also washing the seasoning off when he pours the water in.

  • This instant pot is really really good to use>>> ur2.pl/1052 I really saved a lot of time to watch the fire stew, and the soup taste really good too, I can prepare the cooking, don’t have to wait it all the time, after i finish cook other dishes, soup is cook complete too. super time saving, simple and convenient to use

  • Looks great. Would you be able to cut the chicken in to cubes beforehand and coat it with pepper and salt or is it best shredded after?

I’ve seen some people Brown the chicken and then add it in, would this work and need as long?

  • Oh wow this really does look delicious i have never thought to put sage and onion in but thinking on it i bet it really adds to the flavor

  • Are you not putting in water or chicken stock? I don’t have all the ingredients you listed but was gonna try chicken, garlic and basil.

  • Hey bruv, love your positive attitude:) I’m in England, and we don’t have Mrs Dash seasonings, what other seasonings would you recommend? Also, how much water is needed for the chicken in the slow cooker?

  • When you eat the chicken left overs from the fridge do you eat it cold? If I warm chicken up in the microwave it tastes nasty. It is safe to eat cold after its cooked?

  • Just a quote from “Why not to wash your meat” Google search (BTW there is tons of articles about why you should not wash the meat…)

“Washing raw poultry, beef, pork, lamb, or veal before cooking it is not recommended. Bacteria in raw meat and poultry juices can be spread to other foods, utensils, and surfaces. We call this cross-contamination. Some consumers think they are removing bacteria and making their meat or poultry safe.”

So there you go, just don’t….

PS: I used to do it myself before btw, never since…

  • Looks amazing! I’ll be adding this meal to my grocery list. By the way, you’re eyes are so beautiful!:) Thanks for sharing this recipe!

  • the only time you can put food in a sink is this the drain is what we call in the plumbing industry safe waste therefore you would need an air gap between the pipe from the sink into the drain where does trap and the amount of air gap should be at least one and a half times the diameter of which the pipe is coming from the sink…… and you threw a lot of good chicken away if you want to get big you have to take steroids sorry my man that’s just the way it is

  • I was in india and they make something exactly the same, but they use a lot of spices and herbs..they boil the chicken, with chicken broth, then shred the chicken after its cooked, then they add oil into a pan fry the chicken, they add mix bell pepper, onions, curry leave, fresh coriander leaves, dried fenugreek leaves. Spices and herbs. It taste awesome. Indian food is very rich in spices and herbs. I just fell in love with their food. There are so many spices and herbs that they use in their cuisine. How they remember all the spices its amazing.

  • Nice meal. I use my CROCKPOT mostly, and cook on low because I believe the nutrition is way more, and the meal tastes better on low. I subscribed to your channel. THX!!!!!

  • Great video! Did you microwave the brussel sprouts before you poured them in containers? Then you’ll freeze or refrigerate the containers?

  • I remember the crock pot chicken from back in the prep days w rotel!! I actually still make chicken that way (w salsa) to this day!! My kids love it!!

  • Jeff, I followed your instructions exactly, added a bit of soy sauce since I knew where I was going with the next steps, but had never simply cooked a batch of chicken breasts to store for later use, I really appreciate this video, my chicken turned out moist and fell apart easily. My sincerest gratitude for ‘simple’ basic crock pot chicken:)

  • That’s what we call a white man’s meal. whitest chicken meat cooked flavourless (he even scraped off the seasoning lol) by the whitest ginger

  • That’s not the way u clean chicken never wash poultry plus if u cooking chicken get lemon wear gloves clean it properly 1time & clean proper add lemon again kills germs wipe up wit mh dettol spray n wipes desposd gloves n then season properly cook he Cnt cook shit

  • Could you use this method with a regular pot on the stovetop? Do the times vary? If so, how much time would you use for, say, the first recipe with a regular pot and stove? Greetings from Argentina

  • i’m not a fan of using the mixer to shred chicken…yes it’s fast but it shreds it too much, i like chicken pieces not chicken strings

  • I’m sorry but anyone watching this vid in the future NEVER fill up a crockpot with water to cook meat. It pulls all the natural juices out of the chicken and leaves you with a dry mess of chicken. If you dont want to cook with marinades you only need a little water. Just put the chicken in with a tablespoon of oil and spices. The natural juices in the meat will cook it.

  • Why did your chicken turn out so waterry after slow cooking it??? Love it though!!!

Also why do you only season the very top of all the chicken; wouldn’t the seasoning spread out better if you seasoned them layer by layer?

What macro ratio’s do you do btw? I like protein:carbs at 4:6 with fat at minimal…

And does cooked food ‘really’ stay good for 5 days? I have always thought it would be good for 2 days tops….

  • Just a few tips to make it better because I know for sure that’s not good bro. First season the chicken with salt, garlic, red pepper, extra virgin olive oil, lemon and I like to add a little bit of teriyaki sauce and let it marinate for a few minutes. And don’t add a lot of water instead only add maybe 2 cups because the chicken already release water by the time it’s done you don’t wanna have your chicken looking like soup. This way all the water will be gone and you will want to keep the chicken cooking without water you will be crispy and tender just like KFC chicken but healthy. You are welcome.

  • Thank you for showing the actual deployment into the cooking apparatus. Please show these actions for the freezer prep packs. A LOT of people are asking for this part of the equation.

Come thru for us Sweet Pea! <3

  • EXTREMELY TASTY!!! I made this and it was really good!!! I am wondering if I could do the same thing with a jar of spaghetti sauce instead of the salsa?? Thank you for creating and posting this!!!

  • Thanks so much, Emily!! Now I have to buy crockpot and make this healthy dinner!! I got addicted on coconut oil from PAM, because it was so good! I tried that on pizza, it came out so beautifully!

Once I get paycheck next week, I am going to order this immediately! More recipes like this, please!! You’re the best!!

  • I made this last night. Thank you for sharing this awesome recipe. It was amazing. I had it without the additional toppings at the end and it was perfect. I have been on a healthy eating lifestyle for about a year and getting bored with the same foods. This was not boring. Looking forward to trying more of your dishes.

  • Thanks for your video. This is simple and a great way to have a lot of chicken lightly flavored to use in many ways later.
Also, thanks for showing how you use the scissors to trim the chicken. It has made the prep easier and faster. And better than I could do with a knife.
It is now all cooking in the crockpot to be ready for the weekend.

  • You look like a nice clean person but your food prep is gross! Raw chicken in the sink? Definite no no. As for the recipe? I can’t say no more because I don’t want to offend, but you’re slow cooker is nice, lovely kitchen too.

  • Why is everyone bitching about the sink… who cares… that’s how he does it… if you don’t then don’t… like why does everyone have to make things a big deal. Dude still alive for now shit! Now let him live how he live.

  • My pet rats would have chowed that chicken if it got cooked. Cartilage is really good for yous. The fat from a factory farmed chicken isn’t likely, so I see why you might toss that.

  • If you want this to taste way better put a can of salsa in the croc pot minus putting your chicken breast in the sink. Season with cumin, adobo, chili powder or you can just leave plain and it’s good. You can’t make taco salads, tacos put in wraps and have that Mexican vibezzzzz
    Stay wavy

  • This is exactly how i started cutting fat and losing weight. Throw it in around 10pm, sleep, wake up and portion out into prep containers. For more flavor i started mixing in 2 small store bought curry blocks. with a little bit of weight training, the fat is disintigrating

  • Tried this last night, super easy and sooo damn good.!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe!! Also, no need for the spray though, inside of a crockpot is non-stick.

  • Wtf that’s so fucking bland. And when that chicken dries out over the course of the week, it’ll taste like cardboard. Why would you drain out all the juices; that broth contains so much of the flavor extracted from the meat (amino acids released from the meat provide that savory umami flavor).
You can make so many far better tasting recipes with the crock pot that are still very nutritious.

  • do the containers hold up well in the microwave? Every time I have Tupperware or anything similar it gets stains and rough spots from where the food gets hot during microwaving

  • I do the same thing except I put lemon slices on top and Italian seasoning and it’s so good! The lemon gives everything such a nice zest! But I don’t do the tomato sauce. Ima have to try that!

  • I just subscribed to you after watching you’re meal prep container video because I was trying to find the best glass containers…. you have really good content. Very informative.

  • Damm you ppl need learn to edit videos, you talk to much.
I not come here to listen you talkin i wanna see the recipe the igredints no listen you voicee all the video god chupamela

  • So glad I found this channel. I just bought my slowcooker and was looking for simple and healthy recipes. Best videos, well prepared in advanced with all ingredients. I have liked and subscribed. Thank you for also showing end result of recipes.

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!! You have changed my life with this recipe and the crockpot! I’m going to go get one right now!! Thank you for this easy, three step video! KEEP THEM COMING! The intro was super cute btw!

  • thanks Mr B, always appreciate a man that cooks Love the recipe, my addition to this would be to put a 1/2 cup pico de gallo ( hope i’m spelling that right ) and or a jalapeño for a bit of heat to the dish

  • Not many people are browning the chicken first which brings out its natural flavors etc. Then deglaze the pan you did that in and then add to slow cooker. The meal is good but it has the potential to be great.

  • For anyone freaking out about him preparing chicken from the sink; bacteria is killed when heat reaches a certain point. Unless there’s an unknown bacterial type, it dies at 120 F.

Basically, as long as the temperature in the crockpot gets that high, you don’t need to worry about ANYTHING being present on your food after it is cooked.

  • I tried this for 4 hours on high and my chicken came out super dry and no flavor at all:( is yours very flavorful? What am I doing wrong??

  • Out flippin standing, I have incorporated all these into my cooking rotation. All are excellent for meal preps and large group pleasing dishes. I am forever tweaking the bbq mix depending on desired sweetness or smokiness. I use the mexican chicken as the chicken for tortilla soup! Your seasonings work great for grilling and some fish dishes!

  • Not a fan of spicy chicken. But I plan to try these other ideas. I never though about adding boneless thighs to my chicken! I’m so excited to try some of these! I’ve been doing pretty good with meal prepping but badly needed new ideas to mix it up. Thanks!!!!

  • Nothings bad about cleaning chicken in the sink IF you have a stainless steel sink and clean the sink after.
    Majority of you are dumbasses.

  • I love slow cooker recipes, I have subscribed to your Channel and hit the bell to see your next video please
