  • Back when I was working at a school in a small town with only 3 fast food chains, the McDouble became a go-to for a quick lunch. 22g of protein and only 390 calories as is (less with mustard). It didn’t shatter my caloric limit, plus, it satisfied my cheese craving while only having one slice. I now work in a bigger city where I thankfully have much healthier options; however I sympathize with those who don’t and just need a quick meal with colleagues. It’s good knowing what ‘healthier’ items you can have at fast food chains to call upon when needed without guilt or shame.

  • You should train and eat like Arnold Schwarzenegger for a solid week. Track your gains. He’s the best of the best.

    Then pick 5-10 body parts and do a training regiment of each one for the person that is considered to have the best body part. Like Tom Platz quads, Arnold’s chest, Dorian Yates back, Larry Scott biceps, etc. It might be a lot of fun.

  • My healthy fast food go to is a burrito bowl from chipotle. Rice, barbacoa, fresh salsa, fajita veggies, and romaine. 430 cals and 30g protein.

    Burger King: Whoppers (with no sauce): 423kCal. 33g protein, 46g carb, 12g fat.
    KFC: Colonel burgers: 414kCal. 32g protein, 38g carb, 14.6g fat.
    Roman’s Pizza: Large BBQ Sparerib and Mushroom Pizza (per slice): 208kCal. 15g protein, 21.2g carb, 7g fat.

    All are good choices and I constantly change them up.

  • Arby’s chicken bacon jalopeno wrap without the ranch is my go to. I work an hour away from where I live and tend to substitute one meal a day with it. Taking off the ranch subtracts at least 120 calories from it so it goes from 600 to 480 calories with 37 grams of protein and it’s pretty filling. I like to add g hughes sugarfree honey mustard to it sometimes. only 20 calories per serving, and it makes me feel like I’m Tiger Woods without the actual cheating.

  • A&W lettuce wrap double buddy burger no condiment, and tell them no salt and seasoning… Also by asking them for no salt and seasoning on the burger they will make you a fresh burger, so it is hot

  • I’m glad you picked Subway as the #1. I feel like Subway is super underrated in how good it is if you are looking to cut or something. You got lots of fresh veggies, it’s very filling, low calories, low price. Meat is a little dubious but I haven’t died from it yet.

    Also Wendy’s is pretty good if you get a spicy chicken sandwich + chili. It’s more like 700 calories, but it’s really tasty and will also fill you up for quite a while.

    Surprised you didn’t feature Arby’s in this challenge. They have a lot of lower calorie items and most of their items have a ton of protein in them, more than any other fast food restaurant I’ve seen. A lot of people hate on Arby’s for some reason, but I like them

One thing that I learned that has helped me with 500 cal meals is that the regular hamburgers at fast food restaurants (the kinds that come in kid’s meals, also known as junior hamburgers in some fast food places) are only 250 or 240 cals.
