  • DO NOT do what they did with the first one. U risk salmonella with the raw egg whites in the frosting. Wtf are they thinking? U can get the same results with whipping cream and adding the strawberry purée gradually.

  • I made this last Sunday for dessert. Despite the mistakes it tasted good. It looked bad because I forgot the butter. It was in the oven for a minute before I realized. I removed from the oven and added the butter. Stirring it in made the strawberries and blueberry sink. I ended up cooking it 55 minutes before it would firm. But, it was quite delicious.
    Question for you. Do you thing this recipe would still work if I poured the batter in to individual ramekins 5oz.

  • I ‘m always reluctant to try recipes that I see on you-tube unless it is a known chef. I have had too many experiences buying all the ingredients and the recipe not turn out right. This one was going to be about the same until I looked at a Paula Deen recipe to compare to find out why my batter was cake-like. It was because I needed to add half a cup of water or milk to thin. I got one tip out of Diva’s recipe to dice strawberries and add sugar. I thank her for that.

  • Si I just made this and so far I am disappointed. The cake was still under cooked so put it back in the oven. The cream cheese mixture isn’t smooth like yours, it’s curdled so I tried using a mixer to try and smooth it out; nope, that didn’t work. So now I am waiting for the cake to finish cooking and I’m not sure if I shopuld let it cool first or make the holes right away and pour the mixture in.

    You’re putting 1 and a 1/4 cup oil, so would you maybe pour applesauce in a 1/4 cup and use 1 cup of oil?
    Do you have to use a bread pan? I only have 1. Could you use a pie pan or maybe 1 pie pan and a bread pan?
