  • DO NOT do what they did with the first one. U risk salmonella with the raw egg whites in the frosting. Wtf are they thinking? U can get the same results with whipping cream and adding the strawberry purée gradually.

  • Out of all the recipes out there, I clicked on this one just because it was the shortest. Turned out great! Was worried about some comments that says about the middle part not cooking through, but mine was perfect. So quick & easy & YUM! Subbed.

  • It looked good when I took it out & let it rest but when I cut it in half it was still mushy in the middle so I’m putting it back in the oven & hoping that works:(

  • Please no recipes where the fruits are not even CLOSE in season!!! Bad for your health (strawberries from China even!??!), bad for the environment (long transportation routes) and bad for your wallet. Please re-post in June:). Thx.

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries diced

    1/2-3/4 cup sugar

    1 cup all-purpose flour

    2 teaspoons baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/2 cup sugar

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1 stick butter melted

  • This channel has captured my heart. Out of all the food channels this is my favorite! I cannot wait to get my new kitchen!!! I always loved cooking and I truly miss it. I would use my imagination a lot! I always say, a recipe is made to be altered lol! My kitchen grew to small with all my appliances, we now have room to expand into the sunroom that was put on yrs ago. Or, we could always move lol!

  • Thank you so much for the recipe it look delicious I’m going to try it today since they furloughed me today it seems to be easy and simpleI got some fresh strawberries from a form here in North Carolina wherethey are ruby red all the way through and they are very sweet and delicious so I know they’re going to make the perfect strawberry

  • I made this last Sunday for dessert. Despite the mistakes it tasted good. It looked bad because I forgot the butter. It was in the oven for a minute before I realized. I removed from the oven and added the butter. Stirring it in made the strawberries and blueberry sink. I ended up cooking it 55 minutes before it would firm. But, it was quite delicious.
Question for you. Do you thing this recipe would still work if I poured the batter in to individual ramekins 5oz.

  • So if I was watching correctly on the very first cake they made this strawberry meringue & didn’t cook the egg whites. I don’t think that’s to healthy

  • I ‘m always reluctant to try recipes that I see on you-tube unless it is a known chef. I have had too many experiences buying all the ingredients and the recipe not turn out right. This one was going to be about the same until I looked at a Paula Deen recipe to compare to find out why my batter was cake-like. It was because I needed to add half a cup of water or milk to thin. I got one tip out of Diva’s recipe to dice strawberries and add sugar. I thank her for that.

  • I made this and WOW! I’m still drooling my husband got a bowl…I finished off the pan! No joke, the crust is next level buttery deliciousness especially around the edges! Thank you for this

  • Can I possibly use something else other than baking powder and vanilla extract. Is it possible to use canned biscuits instead? Lol

  • I had some strawberries and pineapples that I needed to use before they went bad, and couldn’t find a recipe where I didn’t need a box cake. Thank goodness I kept looking!!! Thank you, thank you!!!

  • Loving your recipes and genius creations. Living at a very high altitude, and being diabetic, I’d need to be careful with baking. Enjoy fruit seasonally. Your dishes look beautiful as well as deliciously tempting.

  • Loved hearing your dialogue along with instructions on how to make the cobbler. You’re a funny lady! I’m making it for Easter Sunday dinner for the family. I’m a dude and since my mom passed, we don’t have homemade scratch anything anymore unfortunately! These modern women in my family, urgh! So I’m doing it with my head held high with my mom in spirit! I can’t wait to taste it and show the girls how its done!

  • Si I just made this and so far I am disappointed. The cake was still under cooked so put it back in the oven. The cream cheese mixture isn’t smooth like yours, it’s curdled so I tried using a mixer to try and smooth it out; nope, that didn’t work. So now I am waiting for the cake to finish cooking and I’m not sure if I shopuld let it cool first or make the holes right away and pour the mixture in.

  • Made this for me and my husband and it did not last very long! It was so good I’m going to make this again tomorrow we ate the whole thing already!

  • strawberries turn mousse and cream a beautiful pink color. this fruit needs more attention; it’s pretty-looking, juicy and delicious!

  • Hi, so if you were to substitute some applesauce for some of the oil how would that work?
You’re putting 1 and a 1/4 cup oil, so would you maybe pour applesauce in a 1/4 cup and use 1 cup of oil?
Do you have to use a bread pan? I only have 1. Could you use a pie pan or maybe 1 pie pan and a bread pan?

  • Love this recipe! I will make this bread soon for my Grand children. I also love the mention of using it also for French Toast! Thank you!
