  • A tip for anyone like mewho never finishes a bulb of garlic. Buy garlic infused oil, you get the garlic taste and it lasts much longer in the cupboard that a bulb of garlic (you can get it in Aldi and Tesco in Ireland and UK for about €3.95, probably other supermarkets also).

  • I tried Morningstar Farms Veggie Burgers a few years and was revolted, it smelled like POOP. I’m happy to see neither of your finalists are from Morningstar Farms.

  • Made this today. It was absolutely delicious BUT I wouldn’t use expensive mushrooms, I used cheap regular mushrooms because they are being blitzed and it would waste. My burger didn’t hold shape very well but it was a messy delight.

  • I love veggie burgers. So very nutritious, especially black been, if added healthy fats eg. Walnuts. I like also beet or sweet potato and beens burgers, you must try! I often make your black bean burger. Delicious! But unhealthy sauces are killers.

  • Replace the mayo with vegenaise (tastes the same so why wouldn’t you!) and skip the cheese or do plant-based cheese and you’ve got a real winner! It’s just so shockingly superior for the environment, disease prevention, and of course, the poor forcefully impregnated, baby stolen within 48 hours, killed for meat at 1/4 of their natural lifespan because milk production slows, tortured dairy cows. Excellent first step in the right direction Jamie!
