  • Know this is over 4 years old, but I’m a new subscriber, and this is the first one that came up as recommended.
And glad it did. And thank you, and hope to see much more in the slow cooker. I live in Phoenix, AZ. The high today is 115degrees f. Last thing I want to do is turn on an oven!

  • i’ve done the roast (1st recipe) but dumped a jar or 2 of pepperoncini peppers with their juice a little sour and ‘kick’ also added sweet onions a big one or two. without the potatoes/carrots just meat, onion, pepperoncini it makes a good toasted sandwich with cheese added/melted. little kids probably wouldn’t be good for though with the little bit of kick

  • Did you know Worcester sauce is not vegetarian. It has anchovy in it. I know you’re not completely vegetarian but just for anyone who is starting on the vegetarian road X

  • Hi. I’ve just seen your videos and subscribed. My parents bought me a slow cooker for Christmas & never had/tried anything in it yet. You’ve inspired me to try your recipes though we are only a family of 2, so I guess I use less or if make too much can just freeze for another meal. Thanks

  • I like how you put everything together in the measuring cup. I do that too. Saves clean-up time. I just made Greek lemon chicken with potatoes in a 9×13 pan in the oven. But your recipe for the sauce is easier, and less olive oil, which I like. Thank you!

  • I have a lot of respect for her. She is young working mom and cooks meals daily for her family. I’m a full time working mom and find it very difficult to lower the cost of our grocery bill. Living in Alberta (Canada), I know that we already pay more for food than some states in the US. Food waste is also a big concern in our house.

  • I’ve just purchased my Slow cooker, I think I could have lots of fun with it, but the only thing I ever tried in it was the Shredded BBQ Chicken, so this will be my next recipe.

  • Oh, my!! I’ve been watching cooking videos for years, and this is the first one I’ve come across that ISN’T American! It popped up in my Recommended so I thought I’d give it a try, and WOW! I’m glad I did! These ALL look AMAZING. There’s a difference in how you prepare your crock pot meals over across the pond. You take care to prepare your meat BEFORE throwing it in the pot, which makes a WORLD of difference, in my opinion. Some of the herbs and spices are a little different than what we usually use and I can’t wait to try your recipes! BTW, New Subscriber here from southern Idaho, USA….❤ I wish I could travel because Europe and the UK would be the FIRST places I would go! God bless, Foulger Family…..❤✝

  • 1:09 1:15 i love how you imitate a DJ haha! Great video:) I’ve only recently gotten into using mum’s slow cooker and it has transformed so many dishes I had previously made in the oven.

  • Definitely going to use a few of these, have you ever subbed jackfruit for chicken in your pulled chicken recipe, I think it might be really good, I am mostly vegan so I may try that.

  • 1st time watching and let me tell you chicken looks very good and as a first time slow cooker owner this will be my first recipe!
Good luck and I just subscribed to your channel. I will see you (on videos of course!) soon. Good luck and keep with your good work. Also I love your personality and your accent! You have a new Puertorican fan!

  • I’ve been looking for a couple of vegetarian dishes to add into my weekly meals and this video has helped. That sweet and sour chicken looks delish too!!! Xx

  • I am so thankful that I came across your channel! I have been looking for more crockpot recipes. Thanks for sharing. Can you please explain why you have both a crockpot & Insta pot? I can’t decide if I need to purchase both. There is also something similar, but I can’t remember the brand that has both slow cook searing options. So many choices

  • I would love to be your boys eating these lovely meals every night. Fabulous recipes as usual you always put such effort into videos they are always such good quality and lovely to watch x

  • Thank you for this video, I am making slow chicken for thanksgiving with rosemary and this video showed me that you CAN put skinless chicken in a slow cooker. Thank you!!

  • Instead of onion powder I’m going to add one onion on the bottom and use chicken thighs instead which should be fine I’m thinking, but one question Dave, is there enough sauce in the crockpot to have gravy add a little flour to thicken it up?

  • I know you are not a true vegetarian so it doesn’t matter that you used worcestershire sauce. For future reference it has anchovies in it. Love these ideas. Tasty and budget friendly.

  • Here’s a tip! Cube your chicken against the grain before cooking in a soup it will be ten times more tender than whole chicken breast cooked in soup then shredded!

  • Cooked this yesterday and the chicken and veggies were just awesome.
Used chicken thigh meat and sweet potatoes and carrots and WOW just WOW the flavours cooked your way were AMAZING.
Love your videos, you are my main ‘go to’ channel when I want to cook something and let me just say your presentation and enthusiasm shine through.
    Many thanks x

  • this comment section highlights what’s wrong with social media. I scrolled looking for someone who actually made the recipes…all I found were stupid jokes, racist comments, and complaints from vegans. seriously folks?

  • Oh my goodness, all these meals look absolutely fabulous and I bet they taste fantastic. While watching this video my mouth is watering! You definitely should do a lot more “public” cooking and baking at the table! How much fun it will be for you using your homegrown vegetables and spices.

  • You need to speak up because all I hear is music and then I don’t hear anything that you’re saying sounds like you’re whispering so thanks for the recipes but please fix that problem all right

  • I love that you use several of Pioneer Woman’s Crock Pots. I have the turquoise blue and yellow flowered one and I love it. Brings some cheer to the kitchen! Great recipes. I really want to try the White Bean Chicken Taco Chili! Looks yummy!

  • I did your HamBurger Helper, but in the UK I could not find ground Turkey, so I used Ground Beef & Pork. I made an addition however of Mushroom. Thankyou for your suggestions… Chris (dad) Billy (Son aged 9) from… Norwich England

  • Nice recipe. I buy the boneless chicken in the bag, put it in, take a half jar of ragu sauce pour it over everything. Add Salt, Pepper, some barbeque spice and half cup of water and teaspoon of butter that’s it. I don’t add potatoes unless im cooking for more people than myself cause the chicken is enough for me.

  • Again, this looks so good. As others have said, I love that you price the recipes. This will help us in choosing the meals to make!

  • Some of these sound amazing Sophie! I’d love to give some a try, the trouble is, I don’t have a slow cooker, however, I do have a small oven, that will cook as low as 70C, do you think I could do it in a casserole dish and left for a few hours on very low? I don’t know what temperature the slow cookers cook at? As always, a great video, TFS, stay safe and keep well! ❤

  • It’s nice to see you making a curry from scratch ie using the spices required. Keeping it simple and teaching others how easy it is

  • Thank you so much for sharing these lovely recipes.I’m going to try them all as they are all the kind of things my family like.
I have subscribed and liked your video and look forward to seeing more of you dishes.

  • Everything looks delicious but I think its nasty not washing your meat before cooking. Remember these prepackage chicken, pork and beef cut on the same cutting board at the butcher shop. Sometimes they cutting up the meats and pieces fly here and there and they just put it back in the package. I’m sorry but I believe in washing my meat. I don’t know their dirty gloves going all over the shop and floor before touching the meat. I’m just saying

  • Hello new subscriber here i really enjoying your cooking vlog thank you for sharing really appreciated and if you don’t mind may i know what type of frying you using and where i could buy it please thanks Veronica from UK England xxxx

  • You need to start listening to the comments about under seasoning. Just put the right amount. You make me worried that youre not getting a healthy dose of seasoning in your life.

  • You really are adorable. You remind me a lot of Alyson Tabbitha. It would be interesting if you and she got together to see what kind of transformation she might do with you. Maybe you should look her up and send her some pictures of yourself. There’s no telling where it might go from there.:O)

  • Slow cook its my favorite way to cook so mostly if I making dinner I just make the dinner and slow cook it for at least 8 hours and I got dinner yay:)

  • I discovered your channel a couple of months ago, and im really enjoying and loving it, your recipes are so easy and straight to the point and your energy is so contagious!!

  • How are u just gonna take out the meat and chicken and not wash it at least a little rinse! This is what we call run belly food

  • I make a similar roast with the Lipton onion soup mix but I also add a can of cream of mushroom soup… Makes it creamy and delicious!

  • I’m going to try this recipe tomorrow with Cornish hens! I’ll update how it turns out Update: it was so yummy I’m making it again for dinner tomorrow with chicken breasts ❤️❤️

  • Love these great ideas, keep up the great work! Side note, what do you mean by you were going to ground the beef? Do you mean brown the ground beef? lol Also, don’t forget about slow cooker liners and food prep gloves when handling raw meat, I can’t stand touching raw meat 😉

  • How about meals with fresh veggies… and chicken with bones? Please slow down with your actions…at times I could not see what was added. Very easy to follow otherwise. Good suggestions. How about healthy soups?

  • My sauce I use 1 Lrg Can of Hunts Pasta Sauce, 2 Cans of tomatoes puree small size, 2 cans of paste, 1 lrg can of crushed tomatoes, 1.5 lbs of beef. 1 egg 2 slices of bread 1 medium onions halved minced. Reserve half. Salt pepper and garlic. In your crockpot add tomatoes sauce, crushed tomatoes, paste and small cans of puree, peel and half the onion. Mince both. Half in crockpot half in a bowl. Season crockpot with spices. In bowl add beef spices and egg and shred the bread. Mix well. Roll into ball. Makes roughly 14. Put in crockpot raw. Add frozen peppers and onions 1/4 cup. Stir let sit 6 hours on low. Add flour a tablespoon to thicken.

  • Why does the ribs look different from the ones taken out of the crockpot? The finished product looks a bit charred and it’s totally different shape/size…?

  • So as a Man your beauty stopped me. Your content intrigued me and your personality drew me. Seeing your love of family and your commitment to frugality suggests a sacrifice of vanity. I’m a firm believer that outer beauty is indicative of an inner beauty. Then at 1:00, I see a book in the back ground with what looks like “Coffee = Jesus”. The bigger picture all makes sense now. Please stay you, just the way you are and don’t ever let ANYTHING change you. God Bless!:−)

  • Your breakfast casserole reminds me of a thing my parents used to make for me when i was younger. It sounds…so weird, but, they were Bisquick pancakes with ham and cheese in the mix. It was actually so good. I am nostalgic now ❤️

  • hello Sopherina,

I really liked watching your video, it all looks very tasteful.
I saw that you even make your own bouillon cubes, which I think is a great idea btw.
Would you be so kind to share your secret?
    best regards Kat

  • Just stumbled on to this video, omg I love your little giggle. I’m as southern as can be but i melt when i here you lovely voice. I subscribed just because of your beautiful voice and giggle. I’m going to watch your other videos now….I doubt dinner will be done tonight lol. Thanks for being such a doll. Love from Texas

  • I believe after browning the meat for the stroganoff, You could have just added everything to the slow cooker and began the slow cooking process. You could have also added your noodles the last 20 to 30 minutes of the slow cooking time. If the sauce is not good enough to add the pasta to call me you could always add a half a cup of beef broth.

  • I know this video is old but I use it all the time!! My husband is the main cook for us but when he’s gone I like to try to make something worth eating. This recipe is so easy and amazing! Thank you:)

  • You are one of the genuine lovely people in life. I thought my slow cooker had broken the other day but someone had switched it off at the wall. Phewwww would be lost without my slow cooker x

  • Omg what I discovered right now. This fantastic movie should be called: You have been using your slow cooker wrong all the time.

  • Soo.. I tried the ribs today and they were so good!!! The slow cooker I used was significantly smaller than the one used in this video. The only thing I did differently was take the ribs out of the slowcooker after 4 hours and then put them in the oven to broil for 25 mins. The end products was tender, fall off the bone and they had a nice color on them too.

  • All of them sound yummy. Going to do the chicken and red potatoes for sure. Sometimes to change up the beef stroganoff I will add a can of Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom, and cut the sour cream or plain yogurt in half. It is nice change.

  • I made the ham and egg casserole for breakfast today and it was a hit! In case anyone wants to know i assembled the casserole the night before and placed crock pot insert in fridge.( i sauteed ham and onions together) In the morning i cooked 3.5hrs on low.absolutley delicious. Thanks Jennifer for an awesome recipe

  • Slow cooker recipes are such a great option for Summer. Who wants to be stuck cooking in a hot kitchen?
I am a mushroom addict so I’m definitely trying that pasta dish first.

  • I loved the quick easy recipies, you did a great job with everything. I’ve never done the take out food, over priced salty junk.well,I just subscribed, looking forward to more recipies. Btw, your kids are so cute!

  • Anyone else have trouble with the flour to butter in the potato soup? I dont end up with anything like theirs by following their recipe. It becomes a dough.

  • This is so ridiculously meat heavy. Why not add some chopped carrots and leeks to the slow cooker in the chicken sub recipe, and bulk it out with fresh lettuce in the sandwich? I would also tuck in some cherry tomatoes as those are cheap as chips here in NZ.

  • I am so so grateful that I found your channel! Thank you! Your recipes are wonderful! My sons will appreciate new flavors! Also some days I can barely move. (I have severe RA) but these are recipes I can handle. Thanks again!

  • Well hey Abby, thanks for sharing this great slow cooker video, they all look easy and deliciously YUMMY YUMMY!!! • I’m so blessed I cud see….but I wish I had eyes like urs it’s so beautiful and deep like d ocean….hope there aren’t any sharks in there!

  • For the chicken marinara subs, one can use bull’s eye bbq sauce instead. My little guy loved it!!! I cooked the chicken in an instant pot for like 25 min. with water of course!!! Happy Cooking!!!

  • I chuckled at ‘Maranana’ because I was thinking your recipe would actually be chicken and bananas. Just regular marinara! Whew.

  • I presume this lady is a northerner. Down here we use lots of garlic and onions and sometimes jalapenos. whats the use if the cooking is bland. Add some spice even you people have never tried it. Go ahead you will love it.

  • The marinade is what my mom made for salad dressing. Looks great. Love the slow cooker. Your lasagna recipe was stunning in the slow cooker.

  • I have to say your waffle breakfast sandwiches it’s so good me and my husband and kids used turkey lunch meat on our and we dip it in honey mustard sauce we had that for two nights in a row for dinner thank you for sharing that recipe

  • Some great ideas here. I’ve got two young children at home which are particularly fussy with veggies. I’m definitely going to try the chicken burrito, perhaps as an open bowl as the kids don’t like tortilla wraps

  • Delicious looking recipes Sophie, will give them a try thank you. You can make some tasty meringues from the chick pea water (aquafaba) which would be nice treats from the waste.x

  • Glad I found you! I watched your vid a few days ago, liked it, got the ingredients, and today was finally like—I will follow this jolly Chef’s recipe! And just read the description. I took crushed garlic as in actually just crushed garlic. I’ll do better next time!

  • Fairly new to watching your videos, this one was great, thank you. We are senior couple and find standing at cooker to cook from scratch is becoming a real challenge. Your recipies for slow cooker look really good. Look forward to trying them and getting double enjoyment…..good food with little hassle.

  • I always struggle with potatoes in my slow cooker. They never cook. Ive had them on the bottom for 8 hours and still hard. What am i doing wrong?

  • Every crock pot recipe he makes is excellent. I was making this and thought, geez, I have some Italian salad dressing in the fridge, why not use it? It was awesome.

  • As an American watching your channel, I love your Old Navy shirt! They’re still making their yearly summer shirts!! And the mushroom dish with the pasta looks amazing! Definitely going to recreate that this week.

  • That roast is amazing ..we can’t get any roast meat at the moment and I wanted it for Easter day tomorrow..I can’t wait until I can have a roast again

  • This stuff have too much grease on it you should take it out and discard the liquid I’ll put it in a bowl and refrigerate it overnight and then make the broth awesome sauce can’t stand all look greasy food

  • Hi

Just a couple of quick questions.

You mention beef/chicken stock pot. I’m from the US and am unfamiliar with these terms. Do you mean bouillon cubes?

Also, brown onions? You mean yellow onions (with a brown skin)?

  • I wish I was as good as you at cooking I never know what to do for meals all the time seam to have the same thing all the time im vegetarian kids are not and they are so fussy x

  • I made the beef stroganoff and it was delicious! I appreciate how you tell us what seasonings you add, like the fennel, as I feel those are family-style preferences that beginners like me can pick up on. Love your channel. ❤️

  • Enjoyed watching the video which was easy to follow with each stage. Thank you for sharing and I will be trying them with my family xxxxxx

  • I feel like it goes to fast and on the ribs i didnt get the timeing is it 8 hours on low then 4 hours on high thats 12 hours just for ribs ribs

  • Thank you for the recipes. I’m gonna try to make some of them with little changes to match my taste but they look delicious and I subscribed since it looks so creative and easy. I love how u don’t have to use too many ingredients but don’t ignore taste. It’s simple but not basic if you know what I mean. Anyways, keep going! I’m especially interested in trying the chicken marsala sub. Yummy.

  • I just started WW, because I’m 160 pounds overweight and really want to stay alive for the people in my life. The only thing in this that has points is the olive oil, and since you don’t eat most of it, I wonder how you calculate that

  • I know this is two years ago and you are still here man you makes me hungry every time i watches your wonderful videos from Newfoundland Canada

  • Making the ribs already today! They look really good! When I was making the bbq sauce, it smelled so good!!! & nice & thick.. can’t wait to taste them.

  • The beef looks delicious, but there is an awful lot of salt. Salt, plus Worcestershire sauce, plus a stock pot. That’s three lots of salt. Those with high blood pressure might want to miss out the first teaspoon of salt and pick a low sodium stock pot.

  • This is the first time I’ve watched your videos, you make everything look very easy, and they all look very tasty, thank you. Ohhhh and you have a lovely smile

  • The recipes look really great! I would love to see maybe some easy lunch ideas. Maybe soup recipes or more easy cooking. It’s just me and my man so I need something quick!

  • 12:38 Really! You stored a cooked breast in the same container as four raw ones they should not even be on the same shelf in the refrigerator.

  • David!! I have missed you!!! Your recipes look so very yummy, I can’t wait to try them!! Happy Holidays!!! I am sending you a GREAT BIG HUG!!!

  • I love how tasty and amazing your dishes are but still healthy and nutritious. Love your meals of the week videos honestly my favorite cooking videos to watch xx

  • Will definitely use my sl o w cooker more now with those mouth watering recipes. No excuses not to have yummy dinners with minimal effort. Well done, subbed. Jx

  • I used 5 lbs of chicken breast and figured to double the recipe, but it came out not so good. Can’t quite place it, but it has a sour like taste? The only other difference was that the only onion powder the store had had dried chives and green onion in the mix. Could that have done it?

  • These recipes all look mouth watering and yummy! I can’t wait to give them a try but I can guarantee they won’t come out looking as lovely as yours look, thanks again for another great video, could you please do more cooking videos especially with the holidays coming up

  • I just saw your video for the first time and I love it! I am in Missouri in the states so I love to get different ideas to cook in the slow cooker. Please keep sharing and have blessed day!

  • I love these meals… And it’s such a good idea to bake the tortilla with oil and spices to eat with your meal. Love this video. Xxx

  • I’m so pleased you’ve done this video! I’ve been thinking of summer recipes I can use in my slow cooker & trying to do 1 veggie meal a week love the look of your mushroom pasta & chickpea curry
P.S. you’ve got me into rocket & snacking on carrots! xx

  • My Mum used to make some lovely stews in her slow cooker.

Once, she accidentally left the recipe book inside the slow cooker. We smelt something burning, looked inside the slow cooker & found the recipe book. It was rather brown.

Just curious, do you put the food into individual portions in case someone wants something different one day?

  • I’ve added the ingredients for your pulled chicken to my food shop next week I shall deffo be trying that one. Hope your both well xx

  • If you put a double fold of kitchen roll on the top of your slow cooker, and then put the lid on, all the condensation that forms on the lid will not fall into what your making but be caught by the kitchen roll.
No more watery dishes or corn flower.

  • I usually love all your videos but how can Brown sugar and bbq sauce be considered healthy cooking…….. also soooooo many carbs bread potatoes….. omg

  • I Just Subscribed To your channel. Hello My Name is Darlene. I’m so glad that i stumbled upon your channel. Your food all looked so yummy! I’ll be watching For More cooking Video’s. Thanks For Sharing!

  • In fantasy land… I’m coming home tomorrow and going to give this a try.

In realistic land… I’m probably order take out.

But I do have intentions of trying this at some point.

  • Aldi’s Chuck roasts are awesome. I’ve been using the dutch oven, but I’m going to try the slow pot to keep from making such a mess because you can use a disposable liner.

  • Oh my word this is the video I needed loved this! The pasta at the start looks RIDICULOUSLY good. I’ve just had dinner but I could totally eat it now I really needed slow cooker recipe ideas as my partner is just going back to work this week and it’s nice to have dinner ready for when he’s back slow cooker meals are great for that. Thanks so much for sharing all these incredible recipes. I’m gonna be trying them all

  • I’m going to pass on you details too Morphy Richards, I’m going to definitely order a slow cooker now. I want them to give you some commission lol.

  • Fun and creative ideas thank you Sophie. I love making vegan curry in the slow cooker to avoid the effort of frying spices. Take care in lockdown

  • I didn’t know Carrots was a thickener, must use them next time I make homemade BBQ sauce, that’s such a great idea.
Lovely meals Sophe, I really liked the look of the Mushroom Tagliatelle and the Sweet and Chickpea Curry. Thank you so much for sharing love.
I don’t know if you will have the time, but I was wondering if you could possibly do a video testing out the popular Tik Tok food hacks.
Take care and have a wonderful rest of your weekend .

  • This channel ROCKS! As a single dude that has no time between working, working out and just taking care of life eating is something that is crucial to all functions and the easier it it is means one can reap the benefits of wholesome food. And I can’t even boil water but the holy crock pot is a definite salvation.
    Thank you!!

  • This definitely is true, and the tip is to buy meat on sale, My family and I found some really low fat hamburger on sale, it was at our local Aldi, and it was going to expire if it was not frozen or eaten within 48-72 hours, so our Aldi cut the price in half for all those containers of beef, there were SIX of them at about 2.4-2.6lbs per container. So we purchased them, and brought it home, wrapped and froze it. We go to a local market that sells chicken on sale, at 10lb. quantities or more, so we typically buy our chicken like that. The investment of a chest freezer that we also got on sale for about $120, was definitely worth the amount of foods we can purchase on sale and freeze it. We also bought Magnum ice cream pints, and they were 90% off, That was RIDICULOUS!!! We got it for 99 cents per pint, usually thats $4-$5 per pint where I live!!! So I was super happy about that sale as well! So defintely those are some tips to someone looking to save some cash in the long run. If you keep the freezer packed it doesn’t take much energy to run the freezer either.

  • >>> arah.in/6Y82 I love this crock-pot more than I can say. I just wish I actually liked cooking to any degree. But I digress… I had considered the insta pots, but the price tag was much more than I felt was warranted given the fact that I’m not all that interested in spending more time planning and cooking meals. So this seemed like the best option for me. And I’m very happy with my purchase. Especially in the cooler weather, it’s nice to be able to drop something in the crock-pot before leaving for work and know dinner will be ready, but not grossly over cooked, when I return home. My old crock-pot was perfectly functional, but I was lured by the keep-warm feature of this one.

  • Oh my goodness loved this so much my babies are missing Chinese so much and want to make your sweet and sour recipe x they all look incredible will be trying them all out x

  • Yummy to all 5 meals, will be cooking all of them, since there pretty easy, thank you so much, I get tired of cooking same old foods, the last 2 of your video, found lots of new foods.

  • The best shredding tip is to put the chicken in a bowl and use the mixers/beaters! It shreds in seconds! Has saved my hand from so many cramps lol!

  • What a great video! Will defintiely be making that mushroom pasta. I’m a veggie myself and some great ideas so thank you! P.s Worcestershire sauce isn’t always vegetarian as it contains fish, but you can buy ‘Henderson’s relish’ which is the vegetarian version of this!! X

  • Love how simple but delicious these recipes are, will be trying them out on my family. Thank you!
How are you both doing? I’ve found your videos so helpful and calming during this epidemic and also while coming to terms with the loss of my mum. The sense of community really shines through on this channel, and you and your followers have shown that kindness is the greatest gift you can give

  • I just found your channel last week and I really enjoy it. I saw an old video where you said you homeschooled. Do you no longer? Also I would love to see some more organization videos. I homeschool and have 4 kids and I’m always struggling with organization.

  • One thing I would comment is you should seal the crockpot shut while you’re cooking. It can build up too much pressure and explode. Be careful. Thank you for putting videos of meals like this out there. More people need to see how easy it is to meal prep

  • Om these dishes look amazing definitely trying one of them next week xx are your measuring spoons Joseph and Joseph luv
    Ty for sharing
Varna Tony Adrian and Thomas xx

  • I’m making the mushroom dish tomorrow. But I only have the jelly style veg stocks not the crumbled dry one, will this be ok still?

  • How much of the better than bouillon do you add to water to make the 6 cups of broth in the second soup (the one kind of like Olive Garden)? Love your videos ❤️

  • That mushroom recipe looks amazing. I think I am going to copy the bbq chicken and mushroom dish this week and the sweet and sour next! Wow yum
