  • i’ve done the roast (1st recipe) but dumped a jar or 2 of pepperoncini peppers with their juice a little sour and ‘kick’ also added sweet onions a big one or two. without the potatoes/carrots just meat, onion, pepperoncini it makes a good toasted sandwich with cheese added/melted. little kids probably wouldn’t be good for though with the little bit of kick

I’m glad I did! These ALL look AMAZING. There’s a difference in how you prepare your crock pot meals over across the pond. You take care to prepare your meat BEFORE throwing it in the pot, which makes a WORLD of difference, in my opinion. Some of the herbs and spices are a little different than what we usually use and I can’t wait to try your recipes!   • Here’s a tip! Cube your chicken against the grain before cooking in a soup it will be ten times more tender than whole chicken breast cooked in soup then shredded!

  • Nice recipe. I buy the boneless chicken in the bag, put it in, take a half jar of ragu sauce pour it over everything. Add Salt, Pepper, some barbeque spice and half cup of water and teaspoon of butter that’s it. I don’t add potatoes unless im cooking for more people than myself cause the chicken is enough for me.

  • Everything looks delicious but I think its nasty not washing your meat before cooking. Remember these prepackage chicken, pork and beef cut on the same cutting board at the butcher shop. Sometimes they cutting up the meats and pieces fly here and there and they just put it back in the package. I’m sorry but I believe in washing my meat. I don’t know their dirty gloves going all over the shop and floor before touching the meat. I’m just saying

  • My sauce I use 1 Lrg Can of Hunts Pasta Sauce, 2 Cans of tomatoes puree small size, 2 cans of paste, 1 lrg can of crushed tomatoes, 1.5 lbs of beef. 1 egg 2 slices of bread 1 medium onions halved minced. Reserve half. Salt pepper and garlic. In your crockpot add tomatoes sauce, crushed tomatoes, paste and small cans of puree, peel and half the onion. Mince both. Half in crockpot half in a bowl. Season crockpot with spices. In bowl add beef spices and egg and shred the bread. Mix well. Roll into ball. Makes roughly 14. Put in crockpot raw. Add frozen peppers and onions 1/4 cup. Stir let sit 6 hours on low. Add flour a tablespoon to thicken.

  • I believe after browning the meat for the stroganoff, You could have just added everything to the slow cooker and began the slow cooking process. You could have also added your noodles the last 20 to 30 minutes of the slow cooking time. If the sauce is not good enough to add the pasta to call me you could always add a half a cup of beef broth.

  • Omg what I discovered right now. �� This fantastic movie should be called: You have been using your slow cooker wrong all the time.

  • Soo.. I tried the ribs today and they were so good!!! The slow cooker I used was significantly smaller than the one used in this video. The only thing I did differently was take the ribs out of the slowcooker after 4 hours and then put them in the oven to broil for 25 mins. The end products was tender, fall off the bone and they had a nice color on them too.

  • All of them sound yummy. Going to do the chicken and red potatoes for sure. Sometimes to change up the beef stroganoff I will add a can of Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom, and cut the sour cream or plain yogurt in half. It is nice change.

  • I made the ham and egg casserole for breakfast today and it was a hit! In case anyone wants to know i assembled the casserole the night before and placed crock pot insert in fridge.( i sauteed ham and onions together) In the morning i cooked 3.5hrs on low.absolutley delicious.   • This is so ridiculously meat heavy. Why not add some chopped carrots and leeks to the slow cooker in the chicken sub recipe, and bulk it out with fresh lettuce in the sandwich? I would also tuck in some cherry tomatoes as those are cheap as chips here in NZ.

  • The beef looks delicious, but there is an awful lot of salt. Salt, plus Worcestershire sauce, plus a stock pot. That’s three lots of salt. Those with high blood pressure might want to miss out the first teaspoon of salt and pick a low sodium stock pot.

  • I used 5 lbs of chicken breast and figured to double the recipe, but it came out not so good. Can’t quite place it, but it has a sour like taste? The only other difference was that the only onion powder the store had had dried chives and green onion in the mix. Could that have done it?

    Once, she accidentally left the recipe book inside the slow cooker. We smelt something burning, looked inside the slow cooker & found the recipe book. It was rather brown.��

    Just curious, do you put the food into individual portions in case someone wants something different one day?

  • If you put a double fold of kitchen roll on the top of your slow cooker, and then put the lid on, all the condensation that forms on the lid will not fall into what your making but be caught by the kitchen roll.
    No more watery dishes or corn flower.

As a single dude that has no time between working, working out and just taking care of life eating is something that is crucial to all functions and the easier it it is means one can reap the benefits of wholesome food. And I can’t even boil water but the holy crock pot is a definite salvation.

  • This definitely is true, and the tip is to buy meat on sale, My family and I found some really low fat hamburger on sale, it was at our local Aldi, and it was going to expire if it was not frozen or eaten within 48-72 hours, so our Aldi cut the price in half for all those containers of beef, there were SIX of them at about 2.4-2.6lbs per container. So we purchased them, and brought it home, wrapped and froze it. We go to a local market that sells chicken on sale, at 10lb. quantities or more, so we typically buy our chicken like that. The investment of a chest freezer that we also got on sale for about $120, was definitely worth the amount of foods we can purchase on sale and freeze it. We also bought Magnum ice cream pints, and they were 90% off, That was RIDICULOUS!!! We got it for 99 cents per pint, usually thats $4-$5 per pint where I live!!! So I was super happy about that sale as well! So defintely those are some tips to someone looking to save some cash in the long run. If you keep the freezer packed it doesn’t take much energy to run the freezer either.

But I digress… I had considered the insta pots, but the price tag was much more than I felt was warranted given the fact that I’m not all that interested in spending more time planning and cooking meals. Especially in the cooler weather, it’s nice to be able to drop something in the crock-pot before leaving for work and know dinner will be ready, but not grossly over cooked, when I return home.   • The best shredding tip is to put the chicken in a bowl and use the mixers/beaters! It shreds in seconds! Has saved my hand from so many cramps lol!

  • One thing I would comment is you should seal the crockpot shut while you’re cooking. It can build up too much pressure and explode. Be careful. Thank you for putting videos of meals like this out there. More people need to see how easy it is to meal prep
