A “large” green salad, including a 12-oz. medium-sized head of romaine lettuce, 3 medium tomatoes, and 1 cucumber would contain 169 calories, 17 ofwhich would come from fat (our calculations say that vegetables average about 10% of calories from fat, and this example verifies the assertion).

  • Why can’t fast foods offer more healthier options like chicken breast with lettuce and or tomatoes…or chicken breast with vegetables in their menu…seems way overdue

  • I love your recipes, Hannah ❤️ Thank you very much for all the time you put into creating recipes, planning/filming/editing them and then sharing with us

  • I was sitting at the table wondering what to make with leftover mango, avocado and lettuce…. and then I remembered this video. So I made a lettuce wrap and, oh my goodness, it was heavenly!!! Most freshly satisfying thing I’ve had in a long time!

  • Bro u need to learn how to train… u do not train hard enough and that’s why your muscles are so small… do a nice long lean bulk and TRAIN HARD!! You really have no idea what you’re doing and have no business giving ANY training advice if you look like that. You have good genetics and should be way bigger. Get your shit together and start actually working your ass off in the gym

  • Hi Hannah, does the Epic Vegan Pressure Cooking Cookbook come in a regular book form rather than an eBook? If so, where can I order this? Thanks. Love all your videos!: )

  • Let’s be honest.. if we are going to Mcdonalds, it’s because we want to pig out. My advice to anyone trying to lose weight for real is to avoid fast food in general and to eat natural foods that are not heavily processed. If you need help, you can google healthy grocery items to buy on a budget. Don’t be fooled and listen to someone because of their looks or their youtube channel’s theme. Good luck!

  • Thanks for this video! Several great ideas to choose from. I’ve been needing some inspiration to get me back on track! Anyone else feel like grocery shopping is beyond draining now? Between the lines and wiping everything down when you get home…

  • I eat once a day. I watch all the calories and sugars and sodium and all. One meal is all you need if you want to remain in caloric deficiency.
Ever noticed you’re starving, you order a big combo and halfway through the burger you realize you’re full?? It takes a while for your brain and stomach to communicate your fullness.
Starving?? Order something small. Your hunger is gone and you will be thankful you made that choice.

  • Hi Hanna =) I wanna try this way of living but can I do it without grains? Just potatoes as the main starchy carb? Im not feeling well when I eat grains, not even glutenfree

  • My boyfriend and I enjoyed the creamy tuna and corn last week. I just prepared the chicken mango salsa this morning and will indulge tonight and tomorrow will try the spicy tofu mushroooom!!! I am so excited! yum yum yum!

thank you so much for sharing these new favorites! these are also perfect for birthday parties!:)

  • These look delicious! Watched this video with my 7 year-old. She wants me to make this for dinner this week…I will give it a try! Thanks!

  • Delicious we ate the entire thing for dinner. I can’t find decent red chillies so I used red pepper flakes and a red pepper. Ended up using iceberg lettuce as well. Still perfection.

  • Hi Joanna! (I’m also Joanna and with Tastemade XD) I made the chicken and mango salsa last night and it was amazing!!! Will be one of my go-to salad recipes from now on, thank you so much for the recipe.

  • it says 187 calories for 4oz chicken breasts look https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=how+many+calories+in+4+oz+of+chicken+breast&oq=how+many+calories+in+4oz+of+chicken&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0l5.12211j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Nice recipes though.

  • I plan on trying all the recipes. I started with the tuna and it was delicious. I’m amazed how filling and low in calories it is. Thanks Joanna for sharing!

  • Wow, i am really inspired by your commitment to healthy recipes that are really doable for people who can’t really cook. And these recipes are all so fresh and bursting with flavors! Thank you so much for sharing.

  • When you said breakfast has “only 700 calories” this is why I wish I was a guy with a high tdee. I’m dieting on a 500 calorie deficit and 700 calories is 80% of my intake for the whole day.. my meals are around 200 calories each:/

  • McDonald’s have been trying to “healthy” there foods recently and it has been failing because taking the unhealthy stuff out of fries, nuggets, burgers, etc. Makes them taste bad. Why can’t McDonald’s just sell actual healthy food or just live with fat people choosing Subway

  • Hey joana:) I have a question. If I split my workout to 3 sessions through out the day, does it has the same effect? I love doing sets of 7 minute and I want to split 3 sests troughout the day, to sneak in my bery busy day because of school schedule.

  • Super video and ideas, Jeff! I thought I was the only one who cut up cooked burgers for hamburger lettuce wraps…I put ketchup on them too—just as I do with a hamburger—as you said.

  • That was such an amazing videos! I love the recipes:D Thanl you Joana!!! I really enjoy watching your videos. I also do your workouts everyday! They help me feel so good about myself:D

  • love your videos. Was wondering is an instant pot the same as a rice cooker? If not do you think it could work the same way? Thanks

  • You’re so cool! Thank you for all the awesome recipes. I had no idea what to eat when I first went vegan until I found your channel!

  • I don’t know if anyone will see this but hot/spicy stuff literally tears my tongue☹️ so i was wondering if anyone knew what i could substitute the chillies with

  • Hey Joanna could you do a meal plan video for people with anorexia because I want to see something balanced to help you gain/maintain weight. Love you videos. x

  • WOW, these look V good & 2 of my gal pals & I are trying to eat less carbsthink these could help me out. GREAT work (as usual)!

  • totally gonna try the shrimp one! i’m not sure if you have a video, but, you should do one for height. how to grow it naturally. ((:

  • Basically made these same recipe tonight with some hoisen and soy sauce added. Amazing and easy lettuce wraps. Just careful on the ginger measurements as that contains a lot of strong flavor.

  • Cheers for this, I have been researching “easy ways to tone abs” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Wiyila Tenadison Principle (do a google search )? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my brother in law got great results with it.

  • Hey I started eat 2 meals a day and 3 snacks with protein and carbs can you tell me your daily meal routine like when do you eat it and than workout

  • Made the Curry recipe today, only had one sweet potato, so I added a carrot, it was the closest thing to what I had. Great recipe!

  • Hey guys thanks for watching, all the recipes are in the description box for ya! Hope you enjoyed this one, have a great weekend:)

  • you are amazing! Keep these coming:) My sister and I have made your curry chickpea salad and tuna salad more than 5 times already:)

  • For the spicy tofu mushroom wrap, what can I replace the cashews with? I have an allergy to all tree nuts will it be better to replace it with something or just have the wrap with the other ingredients?

  • I’m pretty sure Gordon is using the “chef system” of measurement. My best friend is the head chef of a successful restaurant and whenever he, like Gordon, teaches me any recipe, I safely assume that “one teaspoon” is equal to about half a cup.

  • Just made this dish, it came out BOMB AF!! Chef Ramsey makes that shit look easy, like it only takes 15 minutes, hell na I took a hour and a half lol

  • I like the voice over WAY better…but still a great video.. Thank you soo much your videos motivate me:) even has my son meal prepping his lunches too

  • It’s lb of bodyweight per lean muscle I thought. So if you’re 150 10% you want 135gs. This might help any bigger people in your audience as you don’t want someone 5’6 200lbs eating 200g of protein

  • This was great, thanks, I’ve been looking for “toning abs” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Wiyila Tenadison Principle (do a google search )? Ive heard some decent things about it and my work buddy got cool success with it.

  • Just made this, couldn’t find the right lettuce so I used iceberg head lettuce.I must say simple with lots of flavour,I think I will be making more of that fucking bastard recipes.good job Mr Ramsay

  • 1:59 there is no protein in there.. there’s missing amino acids which make a protein. It also doesn’t have taurine, carnitine, creatine, carnisine… What do you subhumans not get? All it is it’s indigestible fiber, you’re barely getting any protein out of it. I can’t name a single nutritional thing in there. All it is is fiber. You cannot digest it. Lol. And then the dried raisins which are dried so they are missing the enzymes and plus the fact its just sugar. I won’t even mention the synthetic protein. 3:40 again fiber and the cheese stick is some processed and pasteurized junk not actual cheese which has fat soluble vitamins and protein, this is just something processed with soy added to make it a stick. 4:47 the starchy tortilla and processed grains (mustard) is just going to inhibit any protein absorption in the only good thing in that meal (the tuna, the meat, and the omega 3 fatty acids) and then the starchy processed tortilla lol this video is a joke, not a single thing here was muscle building, you’re losing body fat thanks to the fact you’re in a deficit, so you’re eating yourself. 5:26 size of your hand full of starch, sugar, carbs, indigestible stuff and inhibitors, epic. Think about what you are saying because you sure as hell shouldn’t claim this builds anything but cancer cells

  • tip for salads. mix your dressing at the bottom of the salad bowl, then add your greens on top of the dressing and mix. (it saves a dish and it mixes into the salad better.

  • Beware of your gastrointestinal health when taking dietary advice from a college student who does pushups for a living. I pity the poor soul who hurts themselves on this routine.

  • Love all of these! Looking forward to making these. I do have a question is Tofu okay to eat for someone with PCOS. I get conflict answers online. I am trying to get my hormones on track naturally! Thanks Hannah!

  • I love you Hannah! You are such an inspiration. My favorite soup is your broccoli potato cheese soup. I can eat that every day:) But I’m looking forward to trying this wild rice one <3

  • I just bought your saucy book for my husband for his birthday. He’s not 100% vegan but he does the best he can. Can’t wait to try your recipes!!

  • Top quality lettuce wrap recipes. What a treat to get 8 recipes in one video. I really like the clear presentation of this video and how you get straight to the recipes without too much chit chat. Thanks for sharing such yummy recipes.

  • I have a family of 9 so we almost never have leftovers …Such inspiration! Now I’m super hungry, time to make dinner! ❤️ Thank you!

  • I was wondering if you know if headaches during weight loss are normal or okay? I think I might be decreasing my caloric intake too suddenly but I don’t know for sure because I don’t count calories (and don’t want to because of issues with obsessing over numbers). Any input would be appreciated!!

  • I love you channel! My boyfriend and I are trying to become healthy and permanently change our life style. Your videos help us so much for this, and I want to thank you!

  • Haven’t seen a video in a while. I guess it means you are doing good with your other job. Keep up the work mate. And have fun:)

  • This is just superb, been searching for “tight core” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Wiyila Tenadison Principle (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? Ive heard some great things about it and my neighbour got excellent results with it.

  • Just finished making and eating the one with the tofu and mushrooms and it was pretty good! It tastes best when it’s warm in my opinion, and the cashew nuts make for a nice crunch when you eat it! Thanks for the recipe Joanna! I’m gonna try the black bean and quinoa one next!:)

  • This is one of my bf and I’s favorite things to make! Sometimes we even make it into chili beef “rice bowls” with spinach or bok choi instead of lettuce… top with sliced carrot and cucumber… so good.

  • Let me start with this: I love His Passion for cooking! But in the name of “both are proteins” we MUST NOT combine two different meats. Each has its own flavour and texture, God created each with a uniqueness…this is the worst way of cooking..i am not telling only about him i saw many other professionals doing this. Worst way of understanding the food!

  • The 10g of fat is 60 kcal. The 29 carbs in the egg white delite is 120 kcal. You can order ala cart just ask for two eggs and bacon no bread on a plate.

  • Gonna have to disagree with you Alpha that muffin contains up to eight genetically-modified ingredients: enriched flour, high-fructose corn syrup, yellow corn flour, corn meal, citric acid, soy lecithin, soybean oil and/or canola oil that’s in addition to water, yeast, and two percent or less of the following: salt, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, calcium citrate, rice flour, barley malt, artificial/natural flavors, dough conditioners, calcium propionate and potassium sorbate (preservatives), and (more) soy lecithin and those eggs don’t come from happy hens frolicking and pecking on pastures. They actually come from chickens who’ve been cooped up in dark factories where they don’t even have room to spread their wings. They never see light, which means they’re missing vitamin D, and their diet largely consists of only soy and corn.Free-range hens with healthy, natural diets, on the other hand, have seven times more beta carotene, three times more vitamin E, two times more omega-3’s, and two-thirds more vitamin A.PASTEURIZED PROCESS AMERICAN CHEESE: Like factory chickens, no happy cows here either. This highly processed dairy product most likely comes from a cow that’s been treated with synthetic hormones (rBGH) to boost milk production by about 10 percent.Humans who are exposed to this milk (and its dairy products) readily absorb its byproduct, insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), which has been associated with breast, colon, and prostate cancers. This cheese may also contain yellow 6 dye, a food coloring that’s forbidden in Norway and Sweden due to cancer-causing compounds.CANADIAN STYLE BACON. Think pigs get it any better? Fat chance. They likely never set their hooves on a pasture and are probably on a strict genetically-modified food diet.So this pork is not going to be a good source of meat. Add in the other ingredients — like sugar (added just to make it more addictive), salt, sodium lactate, sodium phosphate, natural flavor (vegetable), sodium diacetate and sodium nitrite (preservatives)—and it’s definitely entered the dark side. The most dangerous content might be the sodium nitrate (used to brighten and preserve the bacon) because it contains poisonous residual heavy metals, arsenic and lead.so what about the plain hamburger, McDonald’s hamburger isn’t quite so real. In fact, you have to scroll down their 30 page nutritional information guide to get the whole scary truth.Thankfully, McDonald’s and several other chains recently stopped using the “pink slime” in their beef. But the vast majority of fast food beef comes from CAFO(concentrated agricultural feeding operation) cows. Not only is this horrible for the animals and the environment, but eating meat from sick animals will only make you sick.  Eat a McDonald’s hamburger and you might be getting a mouth full of antibiotics, hormones, and dangerous bacteria. The Bun is made of Enriched flour (bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, yeast, soybean oil and/or canola oil, contains 2% or less of the following: salt, wheat gluten, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, dough conditioners (may contain one or more of the following: sodium stearoyl lactylate, datem, ascorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, monoand diglycerides, ethoxylated monoglycerides, monocalcium phosphate, enzymes, guar gum, calcium peroxide), sorbic acid, calcium propionate and/or sodium propionate (preservatives), soy lecithin.Where do I start? How about we just look at the length of this ingredient list. All of this for a bun? Did you know you can make your own bread using just flour, salt, and water? Seriously. The extra 20 – 30 ingredients here is stuff your body doesn’t need.Ammonium chloride… sounds tasty right? Did you know it is also an ingredient in fireworks, safety matches and contact explosives? Eat up.

Ammonium sulfate is used most commonly as an artificial fertilizerfor alkaline soils. It’s also in flame retardant materials. Ammonium sulfate activates yeast, so it helps to get industrially produced bread to rise.

The soybean and/or canola oil used here are most likely GMO. They are also foods I generally avoid for a number of reasons.

The high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), despite the desperate marketing strategies to persuade otherwise, is not natural. And because it’s in so much of our processed foods, not only is it hard to avoid, but it can be doing major damage to your health.

“Enriched” flour sounds harmless enough. But “enriched” just means that all the nutrition was taken out in the first place. Refined flours are also hard for your body to digest, even before the mess of chemicals are added to it.I could go on for hours but the truth is you are being very irresponsible suggesting this garbage as healthy food, just lost a Sub…smh I’d stick to those cheap watches you love so much ‍♂️

  • Oh wow! These all look terrific. It’s nice having so many recipes shown all together like this. I will be making some if not all of these. Really like this video. Thanks.

  • What a great video. I am looking for some delicious recipes that are healthy. Thank You for posting. I will try all of these as you made them user friendly.

  • You are eating more protein then you need, the optimal protein intake is around 1.8g per kg of bodyweight. So when you weight 100kg(225) you take 180 g of protein. Your body can’t process more than that, you will just pee it out

  • These look really yummy and the video is very well done. However, it’s kind of hard to follow a recipe from a video and to find the place in the video where you make the one I like. Do you have these recipes written down someplace? It would also be easier to have the recipe printed when I go shopping for ingredients. I couldn’t find them on your website except in a video. Very awkward.

  • “Cooking shouldn’t be a chore.” The more I cook the more I realize this. Like he said, the more you do it, the more confident you get, and the more you enjoy doing it.
But if you’re watching these videos, you’re probably aware of this. A lot of people don’t ever bother cooking for themselves aside from the occasional instant ramen or sandwich.

  • Cole should I cut chipotle from my diet??? I always get a carnitas burrito with black beans and white rice with guacamole after my work out almost every other day. If it fits my macros reckon I can keep it??

  • What I have been getting every time for the past 3 years:
    Cheese Burger, no onions
300 calories, 15 Grams of protein, 32g carbs, and 13 grams of fat
    Small fries
220 calories, 3 grams of protein, 29g carbs, and 10 grams of fat.
Total: 520 calories, 18 grams of protein, 61g carbs, and 23 grams of fat.

  • I use to work at McDonald’s.
The healthiest option are; Water and an Egg.
It’s just an Egg. Not organic, granted, but it is Free Range (in Britain at least, I don’t know about the US)

  • Although I included a lot of veggies and cut out sugar completely, Sausage McMuffins and McDoubles with one bun/muffin removed, I completely changed my body and lost 50 lbs under a year. My job required a lot of driving so cheap fast food was a constant. I wouldn’t recommend, but I recommend it.

  • Ingredients for filling:
    Ground beef
    Ground pork
    Olive oil for frying
    Spring onions
    Fish sauce
    Sesame seed oil
    Ingredients for sauce:
    Brown sugar
    Soy sauce
    Sesame seed oil
    Olive oil
    Fish sauce
    Chilli pepper
    Lime juice
    Additional ingredients:
Get equal parts ground beef and ground pork, season with salt and pepper. Heat skillet with olive oil and mince the meat by frying and separating it on high heat. When done drain the meat to get rid of excess oil. Clean the skillet and heat it up again, cut ginger garlic and spring onions. Fry the ginger and garlic with some more olive oil, add the meat, add a teaspoon of sesame oil, add some fish sauce, grate some fresh lime over it, add a small amount of lime juice, add spring onions at the last minute, then serve on a plate.
Teaspoon of brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame seed oil, olive oil, teaspoon of fish sauce, some chopped chillis, lime juice, coriander, serve on lettuce.

  • Literally just went to the store today and was missing some great inspo for meals to make and these recipes just look absolutely delish yet super healthy! What pots and pans do you use? Also just as a little trip, not sure if anyone else feels that way, but for my brain it’s kinda hard to watch the video with you adding ingredients in fast but simultaneously naming them slower. Like my brian gets confused and I end up pausing the video to make sure what ingredients you just said really get processed in my brain. Kind of like reading a book but having to start over at the top of the page because I read but wasn’t really paying attetion if that makes sense. So for me I’d love if you could somehow make the clip of ingredients you add sync with the audio when you are naming them. Not sure if that would make any sense on the technical way of things as I have no idea, but just wanted to mention it in case someone else feels the same way. Anyway, I still looove your videos and your content.

  • I’m not that much of a cook but I really want to try this. So my only question is, what kind of pepper/spice can I use to give it a small amount of heat, but not enough to make me crap fire

  • Always love watching your videos and trying your recipes. I’m a long time follower of yours and I appreciate the hard work you put in to this channel! Much love to you and Derek x

  • Im the only person I know who can eat at Mcdonald’s upwards of 3 times a day. I dont gain weight (due to workouts) and I dont have health issues.

  • You literally ate over 2,000 calories wtf is wrong with you? This video is bullshit if you think I’m gonna follow it and be lean. If I follow your diet of eating exactly what you ate I’m not gonna make some muscle gainz I’m gonna make some fat gainz

  • You don´t lose body fat and gain muscle you only gain muscle and keep fat gain at a minimum. Cool video but misleading title for beginners.

  • very nice video, lots of great recipes to try.. I have 3 of your books and these 7 weren’t even repeats! It’s great to see you make them on video, that really helps to know what they are supposed to look like…thanks so much!

  • This is my 3th day that I follow your: before bed excersize and after workout stretches and I see improvement already! I have a small question, what camera and audio do you use to record video’s?

  • I love your videos and your voice I’ve watched a couple of your videos and so far you’re my favorite binge watching late night. You have so many good ideas. Thanks, I will try your style everything looks so good.

  • Hi Hannah! Love your videos. I have not seen every one, but have made the Thai Salad, Italian Pasta salad, bean salad, and chocolate peanut butter bars and they have all been amazing!

I would be curious if you’ve covered how you store your produce in any videos yet? I have problems with kale and spring mix/spinach lasting all week:(

  • I switched to a lower carb diet and lettuce wraps are my new favorite thing. The lettuce has to be just crisp and ripe though. This looks delicious.

  • I watch your videos on the treadmill. Was going to sleep thru my workout til I remembered I had a new video of yours to watch. Great recipes!!!

  • Thats actually way more food that i would have thought for a skinny guy like you (not skinny like in few muscle, but i do not know other word, second language and all that)
Also, why is everything in the first world wrapped in plastic? Why you have lettuce wrapped in plastic? Damn thats a fucking lot of waste (of course im not blaming you, but companies and governments are fucked up)

  • how do i know this works because the thumbnail looks like your shredded but than i click the video and your arms look not so shredded…

  • I could never eat like that. I will stay with eggs and spinach in the morning to continue with chiken &rice and the last meal some steak with pottatos.

  • Wow-didn’t think to make gravy that way. So much healthier. I will switch to this method!! Thanks for sharing lots of meal ideas-they were all great.

  • I love your videos man. I love how you put a summarized description in the info. I don’t always have the time to watch your videos. Thanks man.

  • Hi Joanna! Love your videos I was wondering if you could please make an intense to moderate intense workout for those with bad knees? I see some of the workout videos you do and would love to do it but I have terrible knees! They crack all the time and end up getting sore. Please do one 😉 thank you!! Love from Australia xoxo

  • I do not know if you already said it in a video, but can you make a video in which you say how tall you are, how much you weight, how much muscle percentage and how much bodyfat you have. You do not have to make an extra video for that but could you mention it in a video.

  • It’s healthier to eat more fat than you do carbs to lose weight I lose weight faster by doing that buh man these restaurants don’t make food for that man

  • Holy shit I love your channel!! So glad your jump rope video appeared in my recommended. I did not expect this quality from a smaller channel:D your sense of humor and personality is fucking great too

  • I fail to understand why people try and put these two things together there completely different processes and you need to eat less food to loose fat and eat more food to gain muscle its completely unnecessary and counter productive to put them together
