  • Hi! Karen..maybe u can help me! I got me a Martha Stewart everything pressure cooker! Thought I wld make yogurt..liked ur method..1st thing this adjust button does not work when it’s on yogt. So I followed the manual to the T!! Whole milk over flowed..big mess! What did I do wrong. It said to press steam function n set for 1 minute..that’s another thing.. 4 zero buttons so is 00.01 one minute or 01.00 one minute..God knows..called to return product so I could buy an instant pot instead!! They said keep product n gave me refund! I’m stuck with this..want to try again..I have been making amazing yogurt for 30 yrs!! 1st time such a disaster..wld appreciate any suggestions! I know this is a real long read!!thanx..

  • The biggest reason to heat milk to almost boiling before fermenting is that it improves the texture of the yogurt. During fermentation the bacteria consume lactose and produce lactic acid which causes the milk proteins to denature and coagulate trapping most of the fat. My grandmother died at age 101 in her sleep. My dad age 97 in hospital in his sleep, my mother is now going to be 101 April 4 she and I have a really bad sweet tooth lol. My aunt just passed at age 95 the typical 1950’s cocktail and husband smoked type he died around age 87. Life is short but there are factors involved besides diet. We are Greeks eating little processed foods. I have 8 children five sons. They like to cook the daughters do not as much the sons enjoy the process of cooking the daughters are adopted two from Russia one from USA Georgia she likes to cook a little bit but the sons really enjoy it.
So it is a study within a family to see who smokes who eats healthier etc. My grandparents on my father’s side lived long lives too.
So many factors science does not know yet about living healthy so I ignore many things: what I do pay attention to: I do not eat processed foods period. I do not smoke I drink a glass of wine once or twice a years I do not like alcohol.
I eat tons of yogurts and milk products. Our milk products are pastuerized.

  • I made pappad his style 30 seconds in the microwave and while I liked the crunch and the taste I noticed it was extremely crazily salty. I’ve never had anything saltier in my life.

  • This video makes me want to enjoy watching paint dry. The bland personalities in here are so cringe, that banging my head against a wall seems inevitable. Thank God for better channels out there.

  • Shredded Chicken Tacos 4:57.
The instant pot display showed “burn” warning. After taking the normal precautions, I transferred the contents into another container. Scrubbed the burnt layer from the pot, added 3/4 cup of water then returned the chicken mixture back in and started over again. It was watery when done but extremely flavorful great tacos. Would definitely make this again.

  • Not sure what went wrong: followed the instructions to the letter and it’s still just a slightly darker, yogurt-smelling milk. It’s a brand new 8qt Instant Pot Duo.

  • Pre soaking your rice beings out the vitamins and minerals and is easier to digest. I always wash my potatoes instead of using straight from the bag. Wash your chicken too.

  • Great instructions but would love to see all natural recipes. I’m sure there’s others who can’t handle any MSG or hydrogenated/hydrolyzed/ modified food starch/ any thing or artificial colors etc. Campbell’s is pure poison.

  • Hi I ve done both methods: through in IP the milk and the cultures close the lid and press the yogurt button and by boiling the milk 170F cool it down to 110F then add the culture and on both on 8 hours..!!! and both times was still liquid… no yogurt… I dont understand why????

  • I’m confused when it comes to Oliver discussing aubergine. Is an aubergine a zucchini? Or, is an aubergine an eggplant? Is an eggplant a never mind.

  • You are so out of touch, who tf has all this hanging round the house? Not to mention you used $50 worth of ingredients for a snack, and took 20 minutes to put together. Most real world peeps spend less time money and effort on a main meal. If you really want people to listen to you stop with all the hipster rubbish and give real peoplethings that are real. I have zero of those ingredients in my house. Mango chutney and seasame seeds, smh.

  • This is my first time watching this show but the one turn off for me was when the chicken did not get washed and it was cut up with no gloves on. I believe the show content is good I actually like the show, but I just had to vent about the chicken.

  • What’s the benefit of doing the boiling method versus the cold start method? Does it just have to do with the kind of milk you use?

  • I made some of them today for healthy snack and it was awesome! Thanks a lot. It was just a little bit difficult to eat them because they brake so easily 😉

  • I will try these recipes before i drop kick this pot through the window. my mother used to add a hint of mint to the ricotta cheese soooo good

  • This is an excellent idea, cheap and easy to do.
Also a great way of using up left over ingredients in the fridge. That is always handy, as wasting food is the WORST!

  • The first one is a good meal. Another way to finish it is to pour it into a baking dish, with 1/2 cup each crushed saltine crackers and cheese mixed up and sprinkled on top.
Bake at 375 just until the cheese mix is melted and slightly golden.

  • Only very honorable chef like you appreciate the the way the real Indian way cooking with their incredible spices which are being used for more than 1000 years in Indian food. But it’s pathetic that it’s true goodness isn’t never been in light until the angels sent the messengers like you… You’re incredible too…

  • I’ve waited minutes for Jamie to use those vibrant basil that is just sitting there literally (metaphorically) screaming USE ME! Jamie does not disappoint.:)

  • I studied other yogurt how-to videos, and settled on your clear presentation and method. It is especially helpful to understand how to get different textures, from cream cheese on down, by adding back some of the whey. Thank you!

  • I just got a Crock Pot brand of one of these, did chuck roast tonight in 35 minutes which is the starting Meat setting time, I think it was done in 25-30. 50 minutes would have murdered it. I did pork shoulder yesterday for 60 minutes and it was way over cooked. I don’t think cleaning the pot and cooking sides really works either, how do you have everything done at the same time?

  • Love your approach and of course your manner. You always seem to have so much fun. Nothing wrong with getting a new ring, but why not just cover it with a lid or plate for you are not pressure cooking so an air tight seal is not necessary. Keep on cooking and thanks.

  • My instant pot is different I don’t have a yogurt button but it’s very similar and I don’t have the rack that you put in the bottom for the eggs

  • This is stupid… not “instant pot” recipe. U can do first 2 dishes on stove… why bother sauteed the shrimp twice with small instant pot when u can do it one time with bigger pan on stove…. like I said stupid

  • how you tried making it with lactose free milk? My husband misses yogurt and he is not a fan of the alternative yogurts I’ve bought in the past…

  • Jaime, we used to roast it with out much oil or other way used to prepare in burnt wood/ charcoal to get the smokey flavour, further add fried crushed peanut+ slightly chopped red onion with a small drop of vinegar+ finely chopped coriander leaves and green chillies and small qty of paprika. I am not sure its gonna be spicy but worth a try:)

  • Coronavirus: Japanese sumo wrestler dies at 28. • i dont know why natural release is a thing in the usa. here in europe we have pressure pots for decades and you always quick release the steam. there are no recipes they say you have to wait till the pressure is gone by itself.

  • Lol, that’s why is fat ass is dead. Eating eating and eating everyday like that isn’t healthy. Sumo is the dumbest sport on the planet.

  • Thank you very much love all your recipes and instruction s and short cuts ✂️ ❤ hey you all are great wow I am so hungry, yes luly

  • Thank you for this recipe! My husband says it’s better than the store bought stuff and easier on his stomach! Quick question…..it looks like your milk stays at almost the max height of the pot. I use a gallon of 1% and the milk seems to reduce as its cooling. Is that normal?

  • If all that manpower is required, I’d rather just cook normally. I was looking for something I could leave on the stove whilst I was at work. No such luck.

  • Is the ice cooling for the hard boiled eggs really necessary for easy peeling?? Other sites claim the ice bath makes eggs easier to peal, but when I used ice soak it made no difference in ease of peeling.

  • I really dont like throwing food away, and the straining and removing all the veg from the Mexican chicken stew is hurting my soul XD

  • I made the cheesy chicken rice and it was so bland and the rice was mushy and hard at the same time. I didn’t know that was even possible. Just horrible.

  • Cheers for this, been searching for “what does lo mean on instant pot?” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Penaniel Foremost Primacy (should be on google have a look )?

It is a smashing one off product for discovering how to use great pot recipes to make a delicious meal minus the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my mate got amazing success with it.

  • This is just superb, I’ve been looking for “recipes for instant pot ip-duo60” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Penaniel Foremost Primacy (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )?

It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to use great pot recipes to make a delicious meal without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my brother in law got amazing results with it.

  • These are some great recipes!
I found the links to the written versions and saved about 20 of them to my Paprika app. Can’t decide which ones to make first! Thanks for all your hard work producing them!! This channel rocks!

    Thanks!!

  • When I used the saute function on my pressure cooker it must have over heated it and it ruined it. It was working fine on all the pressure cooking functions but saute made it burn out and we had to buy another one. I read on google search results that a lot of people have had this happen to them and it doesn’t matter what brand it is. I love pressure cooking but won’t risk my new pressure cooker from burning out again by using the saute button, I’ll just saute in a regular fry pan on the stove.

  • I like the recipes you shared in this video and have to try some of them for myself to see how they turn out. I have the 3 Qt model since I am single and it works as advertised. The rubber sealing ring is hard to install once removed, but everything else works as it should.

  • Good videos so inspiring Here is new deal of cooking insta pot available on Amazon that has 53k good reviews. Check it out here: https://amzn.to/3aKRz59

  • Does anyone remember the very first Instant Pot demonstration video that was put out by the company several years ago? It was really interesting to watch. Can’t find it again, even on their website. It was well before they became so popular.

  • I just bought my pot and found your recipe for creamy cheesy broccoli! I had no idea you had a channel too! Thanks for the great recipes =)

  • The temp should be between 170 and 180 degrees then cool to between 100 and 110 degrees. Anything lower the starter won’t take, anything over could kill it.

  • We don’t use this as base for those snacks like tortillas. It’s a crunch food for lunch or dinner. But still these are good snacks to try something new..

  • Going through the boil process defeats the fact that you have a Yogurt button. Get Ultra Pasteurized milk, stir in the starter, set the timer for 8 hours & walk away! No straining required! Add sweetened condensed milk & vanilla along with the starter if you wish. You can even incubate it PIP using 8 or 4 oz mini Mason jars so it stays super thick & to-go ready. I got my pots to make life easier, not to stand over them with a thermometer. Yes, Ultra Pasteurized is a bit more expensive but my time is worth more.

  • ♦️Thank you Jesus for using your children to help others! We love you Jesus, our Lord and Savior! You are the Messiah!!! For those that are interested, here’s my Jesus testimony! https://youtu.be/796PpYceUMk

  • Interestingly, at the 3:50 mark, is a great visualization of what happens when you dont fully NPR meat. You can see the roast shrink as the moisture escapes.

  • We own three pressure cookers and enjoy watching you guys create yummy dishes. Thank you for the inspiration, from all of us at #TheRodElmoreShow

  • Great video really clear. I live in a place where water is a precious resource (ie planet earth) so I would rather let it cool naturally than wasting the water to cool it quicker.

  • A rice cooker allows hands off perfect rice cooking while freeing up your instant pot for other uses. Nothing beats a rice cooker for perfect rice. Mine cost $30. Just FYI.

  • Thank you. For the Corned Beef and Cabbage recipe, do you start with a plain brisket or do you start with an actual premarinated corned beef with a seasoning packet (discarded)?

  • Has the flour sack towel that you used to strain the yogurt been laundered? Seems like it would need to be clean but you wouldn’t want any kind of soap residue. I’ve always wondered about that when a recipe calls for a pastry cloth to roll out cookies or pie crust. Do you use a new cloth each time or is there a recommended way to wash to reuse them?

  • Recieved an instant pot on May 12. Have used it 9 times already. This thing is a time saver! And food is delicious! Considering getting a second one…

  • Best thing about this video? Music. Especially the aggressive matrix wanna be one:D “Never before have food making been so cool!”

  • PLEASE don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love her and her channel, but Jeffery at Pressure Luck on YouTube has a much easier and delicious way of making plain or Greek yogurt in the IP.

  • I tried to make this fried rice today and the rice started burning the bottom, but didn’t cook well enough. Not sure what happened. Anyone got any ideas of what could have been the reason? This was my second recipe with the instapot! I have the ultra, perhaps more powerful than the one used here and 24m was just too much time? That’s my only guess so far.

I was able to somewhat save it by using the recipe booklet instructions on cooking brown rice.

  • I tried your instructions and my yogurt didn’t set up. You said I could use any milk, so we used coconut milk. I didn’t solidify at all. Can you help?

  • I just bought your book today, and it’s probably the first cookery book in a long time where I’ve wanted to make over half the recipes. They look so fresh and healthy like what I’d normally make but with new ideas. So thanks:)

  • I have tried this several times. My temp never reaches close to 180. I just checked mine when it beeped. 146 F. Why won’t mine reach a higher temp without sautéing it? Thanks

  • why use chicken stock for baby back ribs instead of beef stock? some of these look great i’m on the fence of purchasing one + a grill pan!!!

  • is there an equivalent to the poppadoms that you can buy in a regular store if there isn’t a specialty Indian store close by?

  • There is a coating on shredded cheese so it doesn’t melt together easily and look unsightly is stores. So black cheese melts better and has less additives.

  • I have cooked a lot since I got my instant pot I took an 8-quart duo for soups. I never tried to cook rice with chicken and frozen vegs but what I notice mine stop because burn if not enough liquid. i did yogurt in it with kefir strained even better, then I did cajun chicken but I learn to put the chicken on the trivet so it stays normal and not mushy and cooked the rice separately. I cannot eat onion and garlic unless mince and there are no lingering taste of them. soup is always smooth into my mixer and yes I put garlic whole fresh and onion whole not even cut. otherwise, I use powder onion-garlic very small doses in other dishes. but other rice I use is the rice that comes into a ready to eat pouch you reheat with butter and frozen veggies in the microwave. I never have seen the broth box you guys use. I just use cubes but mainly vegetables one mixed into boiling water. that is part I live in the UK. probably why my carrot soup is green.

  • How much whey do I use as a starter for the next batch for one gallon milk? Do I still need 2 Tbsp of yogurt as a starter in addition?

  • absolutely nothing i saw in the first half of the video was “instant”. She literally took like an hour for that second dish with the rice. And i didn’t even watch the second half so… good luck people.

  • Great video. Karen, would the instant Pot yogurt yield more starter for the next time or do you always have to buy Greek yogurt to make a starter?

  • After the ice bath, I put the eggs in a small lidded pot. Hold the lid tightly and shake the eggs vigorously. The shells will crack nicely and you can just peel them off. Works every time.

  • Winner of a video, I’ve been looking for “instant pot recipes healthy dinner” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Penaniel Foremost Primacy (search on google )?

It is a great exclusive guide for discovering how to use great pot recipes to make a delicious meal without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got great success with it.

  • I been trying to make oatmeal in my instant pot and always burn or start to stick. I heard you have to put a pot in your your to make it. I just got done watching one of your videos and it worked for you.

  • If you leave the yogurt in the cheese cloth for two days, and add a sprinkle of salt, you have homemade cream cheese. I make that and add herbs from out of the garden and it tastes like Boursin Cheese. I also make cheese cakes out of the cream cheese. Takes a little more effort, but it makes the most fantastic cheese cake and costs much less than four boxes of Philly cream cheese.

  • Thank you for showing the process of making Yogurt. I have canned many pints of Albacore Tuna. I just got an Instant Pot for my B-Day. I work at a grocery store so I am going to be making Free Yogurt very soon. Thanks for a very well made clip on Yogurt!!

  • While I find a pot roast really yummy (I personally would use a chuck or blade roast), I’m a bigger fan of a medium-rare rump roast done in the oven. Sunday dinner with roast potatoes & the fixings or sliced thinly for beef dip sandwiches. A while ago I came across an IP method of doing a lean cut of beef (rump/sirloin tip, etc.) that piqued my curiosity. Place about a cup of beef broth/stock in the IP. Insert trivet and place a seasoned 2 2.5 lb lean beef roast on the trivet. The roast should be above the liquid. Close the lid and set the IP to High Pressure for 3 mins (that is not a typo). After the 3 mins is up, turn the IP off and walk away for 2 2.5 hrs depending on your preferred doneness. I gave absolutely no hope for this method and even told the hubby that we might be ordering in that night. However, after 2.5 hrs, I was greeted with the most tender, juicy medium done roast I have had in years. I prefer med-rare and find 2 hrs more than sufficient. I can give the link to the recipe but didn’t know if I can here.

I got a CrispLid last November and I would be lost without it. Thanks for the great video.

  • Hellooo…. As a indian we use this pappad with grated mango, carrot, coriander, roasted peanuts and smashed chick pea… As sauce we usually green chili paste or mint chutney…. Yummyyyyy

  • “You can always add your whey back into it, but you can’t take it out.” Uhh, yeah you can. In fact I literally just watched you take it out a mere 6 seconds before you said that.

  • The first recipe does not contain any liquid… except for the celery in the onions and the oil from the chicken how does this cook with no liquid when it says clearly you must have liquid in order to cook in the instapot.

  • Just wanted to say at high altitude my temp of milk goes to 170 to 175. Boiling point is lower at high altitude. I also want to mention I found an 8 qt. instant pot at Good Will works fine for yogurt even though it doesnt do pressure cook very well at all. I have a 6qt that I love so I bought the 8qt.for yogurt. By complete accident by hitting a wrong button I realized it has a 25 hour cook time if you set it to low or med. It is much better yogurt as far as good bacteria and lowering the glucose. Turned out awesome. I take it out as soon as the boil beeps and cool down to 116 or 117. Cooks on low for 25 hours. I put the whole thing in fridge overnight kept in instant pot with the lid. Awesome!!
    Thanks for great video.

  • Help! I made the chicken cheesy rice meal and followed their instructions exactly! Got a burn notice and when I opened the pot all the rice and soup was burned on the bottom. I checked all the equipment and it was fine. Any help Would be appreciated!

  • It breaks my heart that Byamba died, we will miss you Chanko King, you gave everyone around you good smiles and lessons for a lifetime. RIP

  • I’m in the UK. You are one of the easiest people to watch and I have learned a lot about my new instant pot. I enjoy your videos xx

  • REd wine vinegar and White wine vinegar is highly acidic, instead substitue with apple cider vinegar which is alkaline. When your body is highly acidic you are more prone to life threatening diseases. Read a book called the China Study and do your research. If you have life threatening illnesses, don’t believe everything you see as healthy, really being healthy.

  • That was very interesting. I LOVE Greek yogurt but you made a couple of weeks worth, maybe a bit less, for my consumption so when I do this (I have a Greek Yogurt Culture) I will make a Litre.
Just one thing, you did not mention sterilisation things. Did you do anything spectacular in that area. I have sterilising material that I use for Homebrew Beer which I was going to use. What are your thoughts?

  • Really good for when friends visit for dinner and want to stick with their diet. Don’t need to compromise taste or the look of the dish.

  • Have tried this twice in my 3 quart. The 1st batch was regular 2% milk and it was maybe slightly thicken. The 2nd batch was organic whole milk and work a little better. I know it’s not the starter because I bought a new carton and I tempered before adding. I read through the comments and noticed one where the reply stated organic milk is usually ultra-pasteurized and sure enough mine was. I may give this a 3rd try and use my 6 quart with some other kind of milk. The organic milk was 5 bucks so I’m hoping non-organic is cheaper. If the 3rd try doesn’t work I may just keep buying the store stuff.

  • You took off your sealing ring to prevent odors infusing into your yogurt. but why do you install another sealing ring If the IP does not pressurize for yogurt making?..couldn’t you just put the lid back on without the seal?

  • very good video-will definitely try the recipes when i buy an instant pot-thx for posting-gave thumbs up and subscribed! PS-i also LOVED your recipe playlist down in your description area so i could just go right to the roast recipe!

  • I wash my poultry and never use straight out of the packaging and I marinade all poultry before cooking.. thx for the actual process of using the pot though!! Bon a petit

  • Deep frying not healthy, agree, but as I’ve read on the internet and heard in different documentaries, the radiation of microwaves isn’t that healthy either. Such a device isn’t coming into my house. How about just an oven or pan?

  • I’m sorry…did you just cook that roast in the instant pot for 50 MINUTES?? You can do it on the stovetop for in the same timethat is DEFINITELY not faster???? What even is the point…

  • I made brown rice according to this method, but I got a burn notice. I noticed the steam was escaping though. I checked, and the sealing ring was on correctly and the knob was on sealing. I tried it a few times, but I keep getting the burn notice. Any advice on what I might be doing wrong??

  • I mean you are not strong cause you weight almost 360 lbs so you can move easily 150 lbs My case I weigh 125 height of 5 5 my BMI it’s 21 I can easily lift 80 pounds and now I am going to the gym I can lift 160 easily so for your weight you can move a person easily also you eat too much.

  • When you put the spaghetti squash in the Instant Pot, you didn’t have any water in it. You weren’t using the saute function as you had the lid on. Wouldn’t this generate an error!

  • best chef… healthy food is a lifestyle and Jamie’s recipes are healthy or including healthy ingredients… i really live the way you cook and i made some of your recipes

  • Brilliant idea! Never thought of using poppadoms as a snack! Going to substitute dairy-free cashew cheese and tofu feta and try some of these out.

  • Hello, How do you know how long of time to cook things at? How do you know when the meat is done? Do you have a video on how to can some of the things that you did cook? This is suppose to be a canner also isnt it?

  • In my opinion if you’re frying food you cant really call it an instant pot recipe. Its just a recipe.

Btw shrimp cooks beautiful from frozen with 1 min of pressure or 0 min of pressure cooking if it wasn’t frozen.

  • Break We would have never dream in 1983 that the Muzic (RIP Ron Hardy) we created in Chicago is still Pumping in 2020… Life is Good!! Creativity and Light to U and your family live long and prosper!!!! * House Muzic (312)

  • The instant pot is essentially a grenade sitting on your counter, and causes people to loose the art and skill of cooking, why anyone would want one is beyond me.

  • Far Far too many nasty ingredients, like additives, preservatives and who knows what. I’ll pass on these recipes and go more natural. YUK!

  • I have questions about making videos with this pot do you need to have Special permission or License order to make you tube video’s?

  • We don’t normally fry poppadams. We roast it on the stove top or pop into the microwave too. In India, these are called Masala Papads. However, I would like to point out that poppadams are not healthy on a regular basis as they are high on sodium and take almost 3 hrs to digest. Making poppadams from scratch is a routine for the country side households in India and again, involves lot of salts!!! But once in awhile, they are so Damn scrumptious and I love these variations. Cheers \m/

  • I eat pappadam with like all my meals. Didn’t realize they were healthy lol. But I need to clarify what kind they are, there’s a lot of varieties of it.

  • You were going to provide the link to the green sealing rings. I did not see the link to the pack of 3. Can you provide it please?

  • I’ve been thinking about making yogurt, but thought it was too hard. I was WRONG! Thank you, thank you for this vid. I eat plain greek yogurt everyday. This will save me a ton of $$ and I’ll know exact what is in it! Now I just need to run out and get an Instant Pot.:)

  • Your starter was a commercial yogurt. Such ordinary yogurt uses a culture that relieably makes tasty yogurt, but it is an organism that is not hardy enough to live inside humans and so is not a good probiotic. It is not enough that is is a live culture; it must be a certain breed of culture. The typical breed for probiotics is bifidus or bifidobacterium anamalis *lactis*. This is the culture found in Activia and in common artisan yogurts that tout their probiotic value. The culture you used makes tasty yogurt but is not useful as a probiotic generally.

  • This is just superb, I been tryin to find out about “can an instant pot replace a slow cooker?” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Penaniel Foremost Primacy (should be on google have a look )?

It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering how to use great pot recipes to make a delicious meal without the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my brother in law got cool success with it.

  • when the recipe calls for 2 cups of stock (i love using the cartons as well) i freeze the remaining in the container for a later use

  • thank you dearly so much for the recipes and the tips and especially how use the instant pot. my daughter gave me one 7 in 1 and I was afraid of how to use it even though i was anxious to use it right away. now Im getting started. thank you.

  • try chana chaat, a delicious south Asian chick pea salad. or fruit chaat. there’s always a chaat in my fridge, its our go to healthy snack:)

  • I was watching TV and someone use their Bob to set the alarm on their car and I thought it was my instant pot beeping for no reason.

  • I like your recipes. Did the clam chowder and the roast. Excellent.
Only complaint is that I lost track of “go ahead and” after 231times.

  • As a newbie to InstaPot, your videos are golden. I can’t wait to try the cheesy chicken & rice and many other things. Thank you!

  • I made my first batch of Cold Start greek yogurt yesterday in my brand new Instant Pot and unfortunately, here in Hawaii it isn’t any cheaper for me to make my own yogurt than it is to buy pre-made yogurt. 52 ounces of Fairlife milk runs $6.89. Since I like a sweeter yogurt once I add in a can of sweetened condensed milk to compensate for the 50% less sugar in the Fairlife brand that added in an additional $5.69. I also needed a plain yogurt starter which was another $1.33 for a grand total of $13.91 to make just 5 16oz jars at $2.78 each for plain greek yogurt. If I add fruit, granola or anything else to them to flavor them the price goes up from there.

  • Thank you for your recipes but do you have any vegan or vegetarian ones that you can make in a pressure cooker I’m curious thank you

  • Yogurt: EASY WAY… buy whole “Fa!rlife Milk” dump it in, stir in some yogurt to get the fermentation started, OPTIONAL: stir in 1 can condensed milk. put a glass lid from another pan and press the yogurt button. When its done put it in the fridge for atleast 4 more hours. Enjoy. Do not use the pressure cooker lid, do not bring to 180 degrees, no straining. SIMPLE!

  • Wish you wont touch the tip of the thermometer before dipping your milk. Similarly you took the little cup that sat on your counter and dipped in the warm milk. Wish your process was “cleaner”.

  • going to try the yogurt also. thank you for sharing all these tips. just out of curiosity, have you ever used tvp (texturized vegetable protein) on instant pot recipes? if so, would love to know. peace, love and wellness.

  • My chicken and rice was a disaster the rice stuck to the bottom of the pot and gave a burn notice Maybe I’ll cook the rice separately.

  • A lot of these recipes LOOK cool, but they’re not all that fast/practical…
I just made a video on my channel about making chicken breasts in the pressure cooker, shredding them with forks, and making the most amazing homemade burritos ever! Go check it out!

  • I love this episode! Poppadom’s are awesome! I usually fry them lightly with a little bit of ghee butter, and then use them as taco shells to make a vegetarian asian taco (filled with kale, olive oil, tofu, sirracha, soy, etc.)

  • The egg peel comes off easy when you put it into boiling water. If you put it into cold water the egg heats up gradually and the tissues beneath the egg fuse with the shell and it is a hassle to peel the egg.

  • That chicken severely lacked seasoning and colour, and putting some veggies on top would help deep flavour(like onion) into the meats but I’m still watching…

  • Love these recipes. I’m going to make the Chicken and Dumplings. Did I see you cook the chicken twice???? It looked like you cooked it once with the vegetables and then again when you cooked the dumplings.

  • I just discovered there’s a similar newest thing called a pressure cooker you have to have a stove to use. Weird. Like totally analog. Cool. Now I have to figure out how rice is made without my electric rice cooker.

  • HI (to all my 100% loyal family)(whoever they are)

(oh and just because of my OCD and no i dont have OCD im not a 7 im a 6w7 and i been over all of this before)
(and i know i did say something about not posting the OCD stuff anymore since my last post, but i also did post that MAYBE i still will.
Well, because “i feel better that way” since idk it’s a 7 wing thing i guess. but and it’s because
“i feel really uncomfortable when i don’t type out the truth”
(well because im an 684 the truth teller and i been over all of that before)

(Oh and also, i know i watch Chinese movies that speak cantonese, but no my family (blood family doesn’t speak cantonese and didn’t ever. )
And i dont speak cantonese either. (that is what the sub titles are for)
That’s because Cantonese sounds bad and it is a primitive low-class language.
Think it of as in “ghetto talk” (or Ebonics)
But yeah and pretty much the majority of mainland china speaks mandarin because after all the is the official language.

    But anyhow and so…………

Well, today i was planning to get my lock done and stuff, but turns out i might end up getting it done either later or tomorrow.
(but im definitely going to like browse and get an idea of how the whole thing works later on today/night maybe)

Well, that’s because i was really tired, it’s such a pain really…………. I mean when you don’t have any sort of “self transportation” and you have to walk on foot. and then wait for the train and stuff……..|
So as you can see, that is very troublesome. (but uhm just saying lol)
( But no, im not complaining or anything, “well obviously” since there’s literally no other way to do that………….”)
Unless i get like an electric bike or something
( but i dont know, and yes a driver’s license is something that i do plan to get in the future)
(But no cars, i find cars kind of “impractical” in the city, i’m most likely going to get the license just so that i can get like regular speed electric bike)
(But i have to double check with the law ofc)

(I dont know when, but i’ll have to all of this done eventually, (the stuff regarding driver’s license and stuff)
(Oh and no worries to all my 100% loyal family, since i know when i first took the sleep test, i kind of “took more dosage than i was supposed to”
(and yes i know it shows on my medical records)
(but that was only because i “looked up online and the maximum dosage and i still took below the amount. But yeah………..it wasn’t all the bad really, the amount i took was totally safe and it was only 1 day)
( but uhm yeah…… and my point is

-obviously i’m perfectly fine lol, i went to the doctor on that literal exact same day too actually and he immediately gave me a health check-up and he said everything was good anyways

-And ofc, i wont EVER do that again, so no worries.

Ok that should be all for this post.

I’m going to make another post tonight actaully.
I’m going to look up some information and for my door lock installation now.

To( all my 100% loyal family) (whoever they are)

    Thanks for reading

  • You fail to show peeling the eggs after cooking. You have skipped this step you says how easy it is to peel the eggs from instant pot cooking.

  • I couldn’t finish watching this…. it all turned into a mish-mash in my brain… way too fast. Was this supposed to make sense to everyone?

  • The shredded chicken tacos were good but I had to cook the chicken 10 minutes longer after the recommended time. Then, the chicken was very soupy so I turned my IP to saute for about ten minutes and cooked some of the water off. The chicken was great after that.

  • When making gravy, I use my blender bottle to mix up the flour and COLD water. It keeps it from getting lumpy. Adding straight flour results in clumps of raw flour pocketing into little balls in the gravy.

  • When you do the boil process, do I do it on sealing? I would think so but since it’s my first time making yogurt I don’t want to make a mistake. Thanks

  • Your elevation won’t effect the cooking time when you’re using a pressure cooker. That’s the whole point. But your elevation is probably why you don’t get the best results with traditional herd boiling because the water in the stovetop won’t get to 100°.

  • Thanks for sharing, going to check out more of your videos.
Now wondering what size Instant Pot and type that I should be buying any suggestions would be great.
    ❤️

  • Does the Insta pot make a sound when the pressure is naturally released all the way? Other than the pin moving up is there another way to know when it’s done depressurizing?

  • Made this and it’s now ready. It’s perfect. I watched so many videos on the subject. Nodoubtyourssuitedme perfectly. Thank you very much.

  • Can’t do mango chutney. Brings back horrifying memories of a certain island where a certain satyr was almost served for dinner at a certain wedding.

  • the ugly chick with the hitler forelock and the nose ring: “Lets see what I can do more to get me even less attractive and womanly?Lets get some sumo shit!yeah!”

  • I have the smaller instant pot. When I got to step 2 and selected yogurt, it automatically went to boil again. I did not select that, and the next three choices after I set the time to 8 hours was low, medium, custom. When I selected low, it showed around 80 degrees (can’t remember exactly), when I selected high, it chose 181, and there was a custom setting where I guess you set the temp. So for Step 2, do I select the Low setting?

  • This is just superb, been searching for “best instant pot recipes 2018” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Penaniel Foremost Primacy (just google it )?

It is a great one off guide for discovering how to use great pot recipes to make a delicious meal without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it.

  • Hi Karen, really enjoying your great hints and tips. Am having my first attempt at making yogurt in my new instant pot, I am using half the quantity you suggest just as an initial trial. Do I therefore halve the cooking time or still set for 8 hours please? Many thanks Catherine

  • Hi, (to all my 100% loyal friends/real family and etc……..)

Today’s Sunday and I’m just chilling around (well most days now, since I already got the job and stuff………)
But yeah I’ll be going back to practice “to hone my skills” later today but also though “just for fun too” lol.

I been writing down, ALL of the most important knowledge of “blackjack” in my notebook yesterday just so that I have the information stored somewhere safe.

Oh and about my “last checkup appointment” for my job, just make it quick like sometime next week “this coming week” before the 28th and stuff……….. (But “whatever” is really ok, like just earliest as possible for would be good.)

    Also.

I was thinking about yesterday about

“What I should do during my 1-2months back in Ohio”
(before I come back to MA to stay for good for my job)

Well, actually after I sell all my items I calculated it I’d have about $1050 dollars (and possibly more)
(I’m selling my glock 43 too, just to be on the safe side)

But yeah and so I was thinking like, “if I were to save up for the Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX701 then I’d have to work at my parents place for 23 days 10 hours a day at $100 per day. Which is a pain…….. (well because that job is boring as fuck)
(And obviously I’m not saying like “it’ll be the same for blackjack dealer”)
(well because I like dealing blackjack INFINITELY times greater than pretty much any job lol)
    1. I’m passionate about dealing blackjack, I love it and I deal it for fun.
    2. I’m a 4 and I love beautiful exotic places like the casino (well the one I’m working at) and stuff it looks really nice.
    3. And etc……..

And so yeah, So maybe I should just focus on buying the Ruger LCR.357(the upgrades too)
and then work a few days to spend the rest on ammo.

    Then I could
    1. Go to the range for training/fun
    2. Go hunting (in the summer season) (I think pistol hunting is allowed not sure)
(and also I know I would need to get “vaccines” like rabies and other etc……. before going out to hunt)
And probably crossbow hunting too. (That’ll be really fun too) (and I know crossbow hunting is illegal in MA, but just for my 1-2 months in Ohio)
(But I think it’s legal to possess a crossbow in MA for like range shooting and stuff,
(But yeah of course I’ll check my state laws to be safe regardless)
(But yeah I’ll have to check my state laws to be safe regardless.)

And yeah, also i would probably have “a lot of other stuff in the house” (I have a lot of stuff at home) I could sell on eBay and I’ll list all of it lol.

But yeah……. and so about the laptop (Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX701) I’ll probably get that sometime after I start my blackjack dealer job and start making “unlimited money”. But also, try convincing my parents to “pay for my rent” during the first few months of my job, so that I can spend more of what I make.
(They’re probably going to do it anyways, but just saying)

And yeah……… that should be all for now lol.

Thanks for reading!(To all my 100% loyal friends/real family and etc………)

  • I get so nervous when Jamie looks at the camera while he’s chopping with his knife…

These look soooo amazing!!! I LOVE poppadom’s but thought they were really bad for you as they seem really oily, I had no idea they were made of lentils and it’s just the cooking that makes them oily. Music to my ears moving poppadom’s from the naughty but nice list to the good and nice list!! (assuming I cook them the right way of course..):)

  • Please practice saying Button.
Button. Button. I can’t watch any more because “buuueeen” is not a word. There are 2 Ts in the word,…….. UGH Maybe if I watch on CC. Simple request.

  • Winner of a video, I have been researching “healthy recipes for the instant pot” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across Penaniel Foremost Primacy (should be on google have a look )?

It is a smashing exclusive product for discovering how to use great pot recipes to make a delicious meal without the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend got amazing results with it.

  • A point: fat is not a bad thing. Fake fat manufactured by man is. Fat adds balance, flavor, and nutrition so do not be afraid of fat. People get unhealthy for other reasons: over eating, not pushing away from the second third fourth portions on a plate, not balancing diet, We need fat in dishes meat should be 80 percent we need fat to bring tenderness and flavor to our proteins. What we do not need is eating fast foods, greasy foods fried in man made fats, butter has vitamin K in it do the research. If you gain weight, it is because of choosing the wrong foods and not working at physical things such as walking and working. Eating a gallon of ice cream and sitting on once rear end is a death warrant. Being part of the lucky genetic lottery winners is key as well.
So many people do all the wrong things but for some inexplicable reason, they live long long lives so think genetics as well as the At the ends of the chromosomes are stretches of DNA called telomeres, which protect our genetic data, make it possible for cells to divide, and hold some secrets to how we age and get cancer.
    quote
each time a cell divides, the telomeres get shorter. When they get too short, the cell can no longer
divide; it becomes inactive or “senescent” or it dies. This shortening process is associated with aging, cancer,
and a higher risk of death. So telomeres also have been compared with a bomb fuse.

  • For sure plates I will try to make:

    Tikka Masala 6:23
    Smashed Potatoes 9:51
    Asian chicken thighs 15:34

    And this is a need:
    Cleaning the Instapot 26:31

  • There’s alot of taking things in and out..so pretty much everything that you do in this pot you can do in a regular pot..the instant pot is a waste of money.

  • Same process if you’re just doing a half a gallon of milk? Thanks! Lori P.S. At the end, could I add vanilla to it for added flavor?

  • omg a cheese lover like me…and people say that is too much cheese around my house….i call that a ‘nope’, no such thing as too much cheese lol

  • Beware that Kroger chicken. I was weighing chicken one day and didn’t have enough. Turned out that X amount of “chicken” was actually chicken + packaging.

  • Kinda annoying that you cant scroll through the comments without seeing america being mentioned. Not everythings about america even when yall arent thinking abt the US yall thinkin about the US. Enjoy something from another country for once ya?

  • 1. You might as well use a damn pan to cook shrimp.
    2. You literally threw in rice without washing it…u know how much pesticides, arsenic and literal crap there is in that rice? Disgusting yo.
    3. Potroast, no brainer. First recipe i thought of with this.
    4. Again, might as well use a pan to make chicken tacos.

  • Is there someone here that can help answer a question concerning this particular device? I received the Power Quick Pot shown in the video above and am unable to determine how to use it as a slow cooker. The manual that came with it is confusing and unclear and even calling the 800 customer service number, the representative was unable to help. Clearly, they were unfamiliar with the product they were there to support. I was told to “try” using it as a pressure cooker and if that worked, “good”. No standard of instruction or protocol to follow to enable it as a slow cooker in spite of the fact that is one of the many featured uses of the device. My question is which of the 2 lids to use for slow cook mode. The glass lid or the one used for pressure cooking? The instruction manual only mentions the glass lid in conjunction with the slow cooker and the yogurt function. HELP!! Anyone?

  • I didn’t get the Instant Pot hype untill my sister-in-law gave me one over the holidays and I can say it’s quite awesome and useful. Got over my fear of pressure cooking because the instant pot just make it so easy. It’s great for making stock and cooking big chunks of meat like shown in the video

  • Natren sells yogurt starter powder. The powder lasts several months in the fridge so it’s good to have on hand in case you don’t have yogurt on hand for starter.

  • I think this is really great I am looking forward to creating my own papadum snacks love the fact that the microwave makes them puff up!

  • I just put my yogurt on and will see how it turns out. It’s my first time trying to make it. Thank you for the easy recipe. New supporter! Jan

  • Why anyone would pour flour directly into a hot liquid is beyond me….This is why most people’s homemade gravy is clumpy and tastes like flour.

  • Great tutorial. Thank you. Found your channel from Kristen at Six Sisters. I’m learning a lot, so subscribed. Also want to wish the best for you and your family.

  • My stove-top pressure cooker is saving my butt everyday (covid isolation). I took a frozen chicken from frozen to fully cooked in an hour!

  • My friend buys activa…what can I add to help her regularity.? Thx so much for the inspiration

Today I ran into schoolmate and I will be buying his raw milk!

  • Do you know the temperature in the instant pot to make yogurt? I would like to make french cheese and I need to reach about 90 F in my instant pot. Need your help. Thank you for the good videos.
