  • For anyone wondering, I have gathered that Thomas recommends consuming fructose when breaking a fast, but only if you have just worked out before breaking your fast.

    Wake up, skip breakfast, fast throughout the day, work out, then break your fast. In this scenario, you can break your fast with fructose, glucose and protein. If you haven’t worked out, then generally stay away from fructose. This is because, if you have worked out, then the fructose will be used towards glycogen replenishment as oppose to storage otherwise

  • Interesting stuff ���� although I’m confused in that you mention to have fats / protein for breakfast which in some cases could be breaking a 10-12 hr fast yet in another video suggest avoiding fats to break your fast when intermittent fasting (say 16hrs); what is the difference between the two fasts? I’m new to this so sorry if I’m missing the point here so any advice would be great.

  • Awesome. Eating oats with strawberry, blueberries and banana in there. So healthy.

    I wouldn’t recommend fruit for breakfast.
    But eat most of your calories sooner in the day.

    Oh… Okay so Oats (carbs) and boiled eggs.
    Don’t mix carbs and fats in the morning because carbs open the cells and then the fat stores.

    Okay… So I’ll just not eat.

I just saw a video from Thomas saying that in order to break a fast after a workout, you need an orange to spike your insulin and a protein/carb breakfast with minimal or no fat. Now, I hear that you should not eat fruit in the morning and you should try to eat fats in the morning instead and carbs later. Am I going crazy?

  • Top tip: If you feel your pancakes are raw within, then, try to let the pancakes mix rest for at least 15 minutes before cooking them in the pan the next time. And try to add 1 extra cup of oatmeal to your mix.

  • Look people, I know fruit desserts are fabulous. But try your best to eat your fruits raw and fresh. When you cook them, the heat destroy so much precious vitamins… So don’t put the banana in the batter, just slice them on top of the pancake, it’s just as delicious.

A bunch of manufactured ingredients from around the globe mashed together to form a goo that is extruded, hardened and put into a box for years of safe shelf life. That stuff is neither healthy nor is it food. It is fake sweeteners and fake grains meant mimic another unhealthy food. Who says highly processed whey protein that has been pulverized, manipulated, molded and put into a box is healthy? You or I could never make such a food in our own kitchen. That alone should keep it out of your diet.

  • Low carb and ketogenic diets can be really therapeutic for lots of people. i, myself, eat a ketogenic-style diet. With that said, the information on fruit being necessarily deleterious to health when consumed in the morning is not even remotely supported by the literature. First of all, fructose from fruit vs. high fructose corn syrup in processed foods absolutely do not affect the body in the same way. This is crystal clear if you read the research. Not only that, fruit sugar is not purely fructose-each fruit has a different ratio of fructose to glucose. Even in the context of type 2 diabetes, while keto can be life changing for many, fruit has not been shown to negatively impact blood glucose, insulin, or outcomes overall.

  • I tried the first pancakes 2 times the first time I added 2 eggs like how the recipe said but it was way too eggy and it tasted like omelette so the next time I only added 1 egg and it was perfect so i recommend but only add one egg I also recommend adding some vanilla syrup and cinnamon(sorry for the bad English)

  • Im 22 and 5ft10in 215lbs (muscular with a layer of belly fat) I 16:8 from 9pm-1pm Before I break my fast I workout at 12 for an hour. I break my fast after with 2 rice cakes and 8oz chicken. Later I have 8 eggs and ham/veggies and for dinner I have 8oz chicken or beef with rice/veggies. I’m trying to shed fat and build muscle. How’s this look?

  • Lose the music! Never try to compete with music or any other background sounds when speaking to people. How many classes or talks have you ever attended where they are trying to speak over the music? If you must, intro to fade then end fade to out but with better music.

  • I tried the first recipe and it was so sticky and burned in 30 seconds so i tried adding 2 tbsp of milk and it was fantastic and had its golden color really i recommend you adding 2 tbsp of milk

  • Although for many breakfast is the most important meal to SKIP, it sounds like we have had breakfast lunch and dinner backasswards forever. We should be having a hamburger no bun in the morning, four ounces of mackerels in olive oil as a “treat” afterwards, a salad with olive oil for lunch, and pancakes or a bowl of cereal for dinner, all within about 6-8 hours. Maybe couple cups grapefruit sections in monkfuit and water for dinner dessert. Insane!
