Bikini Competitor Checklist Apointments to Make. To Do?s. Go grocery shopping for any food items you will need or want for show day? Know ahead of time where to Show Day Items.

Loose fit clothing to wear to the show with flip flops or Uggs. Silk robe to wear backstage. Outfit to. Read all competition information ie instructions and brochures that the Federation / promoter has provided you. 2: Make an appointment for bikini wax About 3-7 days out from competition day.

This will definitely give better results compared to shaving. 2: Hair removal Shave, wax or epilate legs, arms, armpits and bikini line, as required. 1. I put together this checklist to ensure that each and every new (or old) bikini competitor isn’t left running around last minute and finding herself without the essentials. Also included are price averages, discount codes, and website links to find the things you need.

Essential oils (ex: lavender, to keep calm) Mirror to see how glam you look! HotLogic (Warm up your meals) Floss. Paper cups with small hole poked in the bottom (Used in bathroom to prevent urine from messing up your tan) Sheets for the hotel bed (Keep your tan off of the hotel sheets) Comfy, loose post tan clothes. Congratulations on deciding to compete in bikini, fitness or figure!

This competition checklist will take you step by step through what to do as you prepare for your figure or bikini competition. It takes hard work and dedication to be successful, but the sense of accomplishment you feel when you walk on stage will make it all worth it. Physique.

The routine involves 5 poses and competitors are expected to be lean, muscular, and barefoot. The 5 poses are front double biceps, back double biceps, side triceps, side chest, and front abdomen with one thigh. Figure.

Figure competes in heels with specific poses in quarter-turns only. Here’s a pretty comprehensive packing list for your figure or bikini competition. Please add to it in the comments if you have other great tips.

I’m just 2 days out from my first show of the year and my third one to date, the 2013 NPC Diamond Classic! I’m very excited because this was the first show I ever competed.

We enlisted the aid of Shannon Dey and Gennifer Strobo, the brains behind Bombshell Fitness. Dey, a health and fitness specialist with an M.S. in exercise science and a Ph.D. candidate in sports psychology, founded Team Bombshell in 2007 as a fitness.

  • Hey Kara! This is an odd question.. but I take digestive enzymes with almost every meal due to my coaches recommendation. The other day in my Bio class (I’m a molecular and cellular bio major), my professor said that having digestive enzymes aren’t need as a supplement because enzymes naturally break down energy (food) no matter what. I may have misunderstood his meaning.. but what is your take on it? Just curious. By the way, you’re looking so gorgeous! I can’t wait to see you with your pro card:)

  • I totally hear you on the “lists”. I am a computer programmer, but a math geek and a list maker at heart. I love still using paper and pencil to make lists. I hate technology! Everyone says to make lists on my phone but I still prefer paper so I can cross things off of the list! You are going to KILL it at your competition. I think you should continue vlogging even after the competition is over.

  • Girl, no wallet you got prep brain, happens to me too!! Yes IG is torture when your cravings are intense. I am 9 days post show and 17 days out from my next show and I like clockwork, mid cycle my cravings are nuts and same about 2-5 days before period. It is horrible. I am good all day but the cravings after meal 3 and after my final meal are FOR REAL!!! I am a list person toototal type A!!! Thanks for the checklist, see if I am missing anything on my list ;0

    I’ve just always seen bodybuilders with massive vascularity muscles popping regardless of the category of huge and bulked out or just lean and ripped. I’m not sure what you’re doing there but, feeling good about yourself is amazing good for you.

  • So funny story: a couple days before my trip to Vegas, same weekend as your competition, I was in Ross looking for a swimsuit cover up. Almost bought that black skirt to wear with my suit. Oh and I was wearing the suit the Encore Beach club pool party that Saturday. Hahaha no naked men or large hats by me, thankfully. My group did have a couple pitchers of mojitos instead of bottles of vodka!

  • Hi Paul, love your content and as a coach myself find it very supportive and educational when developing my own knowledge when working with my clients.
    My question is what would you adjust first when clients hit a plateau with progress? would it be nutrition or energy output i.e. training/ cardio? If it is with nutrition what would you adjust first i.e. fats, carbs and by how much?

  • Your dedication is amazing!!:D I’ll be doing my first show in 13 weeks but what really scares me is peak week as it seems to be really controversial:-s Would you recommend water/sodium depletion? I don’t really want to do that but I’ve seen that quite a few girls do it…. And when it comes to competition day, do you do your own makeup?:-s I’m quite worried that I won’t get the right foundation to look good with the tan:D Plus, not sure if letting them spray tan the face is ok or not haha. Sorry for being such a pain and having so many questions!:D

  • This is really motivating! You look freaking fantastic. I’m 32, about to be 33 and I am working towards doing my first bikini competition by 34. Only thing that worries me is maybe not being able to get rid of my tummy pooch since I gained like 50lbs my first pregnancy but I’ve already decided if that happens, I won’t beat myself up over it.

  • I was wondering if you have a video or could maybe make one that would touch on how to create a support system for yourself during prep and after for your mental health? I’ve heard it can be very very hard mentally and could potentially cause eds, so I’m wondering if there’s preventative measures to take.
    (I do happen to have an ed history (5 years recovered), and am taking a lot of time to consider if I will do a comp. I’m trying to do as much research as possible first and hoping I can learn more about how people put a support system in place for their mental health because I havent found anything just yet.)

  • damn that hit me hardthe second contest prep is always harder because we know what to expect whereas the first time around we have no clue so we are more apt to stick to the plan! this was a great video girl, understanding our WHY is huge because this sport is getting really trendy. Post show is also a crucial time that needs to be planned for! I didn’t plan mine and i rebounded hard and its taken me over a year to get my health back. if anything, competing can and almost will exacerbate an eating disorder, I know it flared up my binge eating disorder.

I am about 10 weeks out just like you. I will be 33 when it comes up. This video is so motivating!!! How many hours a day did you workout and how many times a day?   • Not to mention the costs of getting to the show. Gas or flight, hotel for at least a day or two. That is another $300 and if you fly probably another $500. I think anyone thinking about competing men or women should watch this, because i’m sure the men are comparable. Too expensive not to devote every once of energy.

  • Did you find that opting for organic and grassfed meats and veggies greatly helped with the prep journey as opposed to conventionally grown foods? If so, what do you think caused that and whats teh science behind it? Id like to hear your thoughts:)

I think I use the rationalization that since I’ve never been able to achieve my body at it’s best, I don’t know if I can actually get it there. I want to.
