On the one hand, handstands are really tough. On the other hand, the amount of strength and balance required to perform a handstand will get you in great shape. Plus, you don’t need to leave your home to practice. If you’re a beginner, aim for 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise at least three times a week, and 20 to 30 minutes of strength work three times a week. Be sure your strength workout.

Get that Treadmill: Not everything can be achieved without the right equipment. To stay in good shape even in the comfort of your home, you need to work out on a treadmill for at least 20 minutes every day. Walking, jogging or even running provide the perfect balance between warm-up and lumbering down.

Begin able to get in shape without leaving home is a great alternative to going to the gym. And your home workout doesn’t have to be complicated or use expensive equipment. And if you’re new to fitness or simply too tired to do a full routine try a commercial break routine. Your home might become your new favorite workout spot. If you’re not ready to go to the gym, but still want to work out, you could exercise at home.

  • I absolutely agree that you don’t need a gym to get fit. I did a Royal Marines PRC years ago and scored maximum marks on all but one exercise…and all without ever setting foot in a gym.
    If you DO find it difficult to motivate yourself you should definetly do ‘circuit training’, which is a phenomenal workout. This type of training alone will get you fit as a fiddle in no time.

  • Yeah, I too am guilty of jumping from diet plan to others as well, I do believe that I must have tried every single fat loss program that was available, however eventually not one of them made it easier for me to reduce and keep the weight off.   • Best thing ever for workout at home is resistance band set. They are awesome, because its simple to use and you can gain great muscle with them and you dont need to go at gym. I got my at trainhome shop (check on google) they are awesome. They have great products for home workout.

  • You should do more long resistance band workouts. I got some bands from homeprogym.com and can do almost all the same workouts I used to do at gym, even using a pole through the bands you can do bench press etc. All you need is a few bands at different weight ranges and you can do almost everything at home.

  • I can cycle at 30km/h for 60 minutes no problem but I just did one set of this and it kicked my arse. I mustn’t have a lot of fast twitch muscle fibres ��

  • I can guarantee you this: if you do these exercises, and you haven’t been active in a long time, you WILL lose weight. You will ALSO develop strains, tendonitis and other injuries.
    Working a body like this like taking a 30 year old unmaintained car out on the highway and flooring it. It will work, but soon things will break, the tires will crack and you’ll pop a gasket.
    You wouldn’t expect to drive an old car without fully servicing it first. Same thing goes for your body.
    Start slowly, work your way up. High intensity training can hurt you.

  • I tried the 2 minute cycling thing for a few days and it just messed up my knees. I’ve done long distance running in the past and I tried taking it up again a few years back, but once I was reaching distances of 5 miles my knees started to hurt. I went to see a physio who showed me some exercises to help readjust them and they seemed to do the trick. However, this year I tried to take up running again and I think it destroyed my knees again, so I had to quit again. I therefore call rubbish to the guy claiming short & heavy impact has the same result as walking… I know first hand and having ran miles in the past that it doesn’t and I’m feeling the effects later in life. A few months later this year, after quitting jogging and as my knees improved, I figured the 2 minute cycling would help, but no.. the knees worsened with these exercises too.

  • my neighbours would quite rightly complain about the banging from above if I was jumping up and down for minutes, not because of being overweight but the floor of my shoebox is like that of many very small properties in the UK, not built to absord that kind of activity. those with the kind of ‘living’ space as shown in this video likely have a better knowledge and access to proper food and fitness (though saying that i know enough fat doctors, accountants who are ‘too busy’)

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am having knee replacement surgery in a couple of months and coupled with arthritis all over I had just stopped trying to exercise because of the pain. These exercises I could do & I already have 2 and 3 lbs weights. This is encouraging. TFS ������

  • Yeah, sure. I can hardly stand and my ankles are swollen like elephant feets, bring it on. Also no way I´d rise my left arm even empty.

  • These were not helpful to me. I have arthritis in my ankles now as well as hips, knees, lower back and hands.
    My ankles are now swollen and pain shoots into the left side of my food. So walking and/or marching on the
    spot is out. Any ideas? I am gaining weight during covid which makes things worse and this is why my ankles
    are so painful. Such fun!

  • Hello, I wanted to know is it safe to do these exercises wearing socks. I find it hard to find a clean pair of sports shoes to wear at home.

  • my knees are so bad I don’t have that kind of balance anymore. I do chair exercise and it does keep me more mobile but it does not help with pain and it only helps with stiffness for the duration of the exercise.

  • I live in the UK and I’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia I also have arthritis in both my knees I’ve always loved to dance and since I came down with these two illnesses I can barely walk let alone dance will I ever be able to dance again and have my knees hold out.
    Just want to say I’m not a professional dancer but I do love to dance ��

  • He has a great physique, no doubt genetically gifted and while I believe anyone can achieve a better physique to some degree through consistent exercise and nutrition, I don`t believe a person can achieve this kind of physique unless you have the genetics for it.
