When you want to know how to build muscle fast, you should take a moment to learn about complexes and how they work. They are simply a series of the same dynamic lift again and again. What’s different about a complex compared to a standard weightlifting routine is that the weight and the tempo adjust as you get further into the complex routine. One of the best muscle building workouts for new or advanced lifters is what’s known as the Push, Pull and Legs program.

This program has you dedicate days to pushing movements, pulling movements and leg exercises. Every workout includes a barbell movement (squat, press, deadlift, clean, jerk, snatch, etc) and one bodyweight movement, pair together into a timed circuit, lasting all of 12-20 minutes. This is a perfect supplemental program for runners, CrossFit athletes, and fitness goers alike who want to build muscle endurance and strength. Note, this is not a stand alone program, but can be paired very well. The Ultimate Fat Loss & Muscle Building Guide is an instantly downloadable body transformation system.

I might call it a guide, but it’s MUCH more than just information to read. It’s a complete system for actually putting that information to use in the best way possible. • Sounds like some good advice for all levels. I need to start trying some of this to help with my own workouts. Thanks for the information!

  • Am a TRUCK ON THE First time watching I like the video been trying to do some simple something’s not too much they really don’t have a little gym at the truck stop but what do you have here something that’s possible fun

  • One problem though with training in a fasted state is lack of performance.
Actually IF for me makes me cranky and think of food for 16 hours. So it makes my relationship with food a bit unhealthy.

  • When it comes to eating healthy, you must never fall victim to modern fad diets. Extreme diets undoubtedly are a danger for your health, especially ones that seriously limit your daily nutritionary intake. While they may induce quick weight loss, these diets are never a long-term solution for your waistline. It is best to check out Custokebon Secrets on google as it is not just another fad diet where you starve yourself.

  • What is the best product or brand to lost a lot of weight? I read loads of great opinions on the internet about how exactly Custokebon Secrets will help you lost crazy amounts of fat. Has anybody tested out this popular fat burn diet plan?

  • My trainer in the gym told me to: I should come to train every 2 days and always switch between upper and lower body. So 4 times a week. Is my plan is worse than the one in the video?

  • Has Dr. A loss weight? Your face looks leaner than it did back in videos from 2017 and in your profile picture. Have you changed any approaches in the last two years?

  • Would this work for a 41 year old who has never done any exercise in his life, thus far??? If no, can you please do a video for those mentioned above? Thanks.

  • I read plenty of good reviews on the net about how exactly Custokebon Secrets can help you lost a lot of weight. Has anybody tested out this popular fat burn diet plan?

  • Ive been working hard and i have a skinny build, ive never had Money so i cant obtain the neccesary calories and protein, i get about 1 full meal a day maybe 2, ive had an insane change in definition beautiful abs nice chest. And actual visible arm muscle, but ive hardly grown, can u make a poor mans diet.

  • I’m not being funny and maybe it’s because I train everyday doing body weight exercises but I don’t think this is very intense at all all the rest times are really long unless it’s designed for beginners

  • Anyone know what is Custokebon Secrets about? I hear a lot of people lost a lot of weight with Custokebon Secrets (do a search on google).

  • As a beginner i do 4 sets of push ups only body weight i performe push ups until failure around 20 to 25 reps and then i rest for 3 min and another set until failure around 20 reps…… Is that the right way? If someone see my comment and have experience please answer me

  • As someone who’s always walked a great deal I have quite a strong lower body but feel I’ve not paid attention to my arms and chest. I’m trying to understand the science of exercise better so I can develop a program that is sensible and natural. And if I can put a few pounds on even better.

  • You make excellent videos except for the audio quality/volume. You need to improve the volume and clarity. It always sounds like you’re talking through a sock compared to so many other videos on YouTube.

  • I am not a fitness freak and don’t know any of that muscle-building techniques but I do some exercises. I always did how he said it without knowing about it. now I know why I was right with the reasons.

    thanks, jeff.

  • This video is fantastic! It helps me recall of the time when my wife used Custokebon Secrets to lose 16 lbs and enjoy being healthy again! Many people wish to lose fat, but we also need to stay nutritious, and that is what exactly Custokebon Secrets given.

  • Ok doc quick? I’m a 41 yo newby lifter B/c of work I can only workout Friday, Saturday and Sunday I can’t do Monday Wednesday Friday like u advise is this ok for me

  • Anyone know what is Custokebon Secrets about? I hear a lot of people lost a lot of weight with Custokebon Secrets (do a search on google).

  • Great workout! I like the idea of adding explosive jumps before the workout, although I would probably do single leg for the vertical. On a another note, It’s definitely a good idea to stretch your hip Flexors before sprints like you showed. I always get a solid glute pump when I do…lol

  • Thomas, I am on the Ketogenic Diet and so far I have lost 45 pounds. Question: So, I thought eating lean meat would actually spike your insulin levels. I have been told that eating fat and/or fatty meats only spike your insulin slightly. I hate the fact that the many experts on You Tube are giving conflicting information. So, which is it? Because I know you are explaining this in detail but there is so much conflicting information out there. Also, you say when breaking a fast that we should consume salt? I get that. But, a little bit of glucose and fructose? Won’t these two kick you out of Ketosis? HELP!

  • So do I just not count in my workouts? I just started doing that again but I feel as its a limiting thing when trying to go my full potential, say the paper says 20 pushups in 3 sets I get to 20 do I just stop there or just say F it and rip that paper up and do as many as possible?

  • Your 5 points are superb. Thanks for sharing. I was looking for proper guide and your video has encouraged me to start building muscles.

  • Getting my mind right for starting this afternoon. Just finished their 4 week program, and have that nervous energy that you get when starting something new.

  • Just keep running until you run so fast the body fat gets lost and somebody else who’s lazy picks it up instead.

Im not good at jokes lol, but this guy……….. this guy knows what he’s talking about.

  • Hello there, have you considered Custokebon Secrets yet? Just do a google search. On there you will find an awesome tips about how you can lost tons of weight. Why not give it a shot? perhaps it will work for you too.

But this the best body strength maintenance procedure ever.
    Luv it.. keep going jeff

  • Guys. lost a ton of weight doesn’t need to be hard (I used to feel it did). I’m going to give you some advice now. Get a popular fat loss system called Custokebon Secrets (do a google search). Thanks to it I’ve lost crazy amounts of weight. I should not even be speaking about it cause I do not really want lots of other guys out there running exactly the same game but whatever. I am just in a great mood today so I will share the wealth haha.

  • Great vid, made alot of mistakes in my first year. My issue is I work a 12 hour night shift so I cant do a normal workout routine. But if anyones is struggling with the same I’ve been experimenting with an upper-lower split… upper on my first day off, lower the next. Rest the 2 days I work but do some core stuff before work, then a push-pull-legs on my 3 day weekend off. While still applying the info in these videos I’ve come way farther my second year in the gym!

  • Anyone tried the Custokebon Secrets? I have heard many great things about it and my friend lost a lot of weight with Custokebon Secrets (search on google).

  • I think I will definitely incorporate the slow movement to fast movement progression.
This, to me, gives your mind, and body time to warm up, or prepare for more resistance.

  • your muscle-building plan looks awesome and very flexible. I liked the fact that you don’t have to exercise every day. gonna try it out for sure! thanks for sharing doctor

  • The information on this video has incredible significance. The problem with todays fitness industry is that there are so much info out there that a lot of beginners don’t know who to listen to and what are the fundamental advices that they should be incorporating. This video almost has 5 mil view as I write this but if I had to guess, what Jeff said here must have weight in and out of most peoples ears.

  • Sprints are definitely good, but bro, there’s so much difference between sprinting 50, 100 or 200 meters, and the choice has nothing to do whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced, but rather which energy systems and muscle fibers are most affected.

  • I’ve been trying to follow this video to some extent for the past few months and I love the results.
    5days a week I fast 22h:eat 2h a day (1meal day)
    2days a week I do the 16:8 (2meal day)

I’ve gained 5pounds of pure lean muscle and I’ll never go back to not fasting. By changing the way you eat you change the way your body functions and mine would hate me now if I went back.
In addition to fasting, I do whim Hoff breathing exercises/cold showers in my fasted state and it seems to work in a perfect duo with the fasting. Highly recommend if you want to improve everyday life

  • I read lots of great opinions on the net about how Custokebon Secrets (do a search on google) can assist you lost lots of weight. Has any one tried using this popular fat loss system?

  • I’m 14 and I cut off junk food and soda and only drink water and ima stop eating bread and rice but I really don’t know what else to eat that would help me lose more belly fat and I also life weights every day and that kinda helps

  • Hello there, have you considered Custokebon Secrets yet? Just do a google search. On there you will discover a great tips about how you can lost a ton of fat. Why don’t you give it a shot? maybe it will work for you too.

  • Doctor!!! it’s been 30 yrs since I’ve done anything for strength and physique, my last bench press was in the United States Marine Corps at 550lbs. You are a motivation me, pure and simple! Let’s DO THIS!!!

  • Unless you do it 4 times/week the number of working sets/week is a lot below what’s needed for noticeable hypertrophy if it’s your only upper body workout. At least if you’re at an intermediate level.
Decreasing the rest time by a lot could help by introducing metabolic stress though so don’t be afraid to do it or include additional lifts for maximum effect!

  • As expert, I’m sure Custokebon Secrets is good way to lost a ton of weight. Why don’t you give it a shot? maybe it’ll work for you too.

  • i am sure many of us would love to be educated on why the rep speeds work well together relative to the way they are introduced sequentially! if at all possible I hope you guys could shed a light on this. IT WOULD MEAN SO MUCH! also great work as always guys! cheers

  • These really work I’ve been sprinting every 3 days since March and the loss of side fat and stomach toning is great. Only thing is do a warm up at least a lap. I did half a lap before and tweeked my hammer up on my second sprint in April lost a week of sprints. I only do the high jumps and sprints because I save the push ups for the following day. However the sprinting really works if you keep to it.

  • Anyone tried the Custokebon Secrets? I have heard many great things about it and my friend lost a lot of weight with Custokebon Secrets (search on google).

  • Anyone tried the Custokebon Secrets (search on google)? I have noticed several amazing things about this popular lose weight diet plan.

  • This video is definitely wonderful! It helps me remember of the time when my sister used Custokebon Secrets to lose 15 pounds and enjoy being healthy again! Most of us would like to lose fat, but we also require to remain healthy and balanced, and that is what Custokebon Secrets given.

  • Am I the only one picturing the fish from “American Dad” as the narrator of this video? I hope that’s not really the case because the thought of a fish being able to kick my ass in a pull up contest is demoralizing.

  • So do I just not count in my workouts? I just started doing that again but I feel as its a limiting thing when trying to go my full potential, say the paper says 20 pushups in 3 sets I get to 20 do I just stop there or just say F it and rip that paper up and do as many as possible?

  • What if the only thing I consume is a pre-workout? I do know the sweeteners etc stop part of the fasting benefits but I wonder if this actually mean I can loose muscle during a morning weight session…

  • I don’t know how old you are Greg but you are recommending foods that is going to cause inflammation in the body long term in particular knee pain especially for men over 40. You should be recommending more of a plant based diet especially for men and women over 40. People will have to found out the hard way but these foods will just even increase inflammation in the body to make you not even be motivated to train

  • I used to return the school lunches which came in huge metal trays, from the classrooms to the kitchens(roughly 500m plus stairs, does that count?

  • Great vid. I downloaded the vid so i can look back to it anytime. A lot of information to take in, at least for me, but i know by watching it every now and then will help me address the stuff that ill miss. Thank you for this amazing video.

  • So you state that you can get stronger with the red line and also using the green line. But the green line builds size and the from what I gather the red builds more strength. Isn’t strength mostly correlated to size of the muscle? How does the green line not produce more effective strength than the red?

  • Diet aren’t necessary for teenagers just don’t eat junk food and instead eat high protein low fat foods while spreading out your meals throughout the day, 3-5 meals. Simple. Make sure you eating the proper amount of calories depending on your weight. But don’t starve yourself cause it’ll just make you want to eat more

  • To the people viewing this video and interested in getting into gym, this is the exact definition of what you need to do. Listen to this guy. I mean it, you won’t regret it.

  • What I never understood is that when it comes to hypertrophy, people say to use moderate weights for high volume; however, when it comes to keeping muscle in a caloric deficit, they say use high weight in a lower volume. Wouldn’t that mean the best way to build muscle is to use high weights in low volume in a caloric surplus?

  • Jeff, my question is how do you train muscles for endurance? More reps and lighter weight? Example, in my job I may need to hold or moving something that might be slightly heavy for a few minutes. I don’t like that I need to take a break in the job.

  • “I can’t spell push, I keep forgetting about the s”. I kept starring at the PUH when you first starting writing, also tertary needs an “i” tertiary. Other than that, keep up the good work!

  • Hi guys not on steroids gained 20 pounds of muscle in 10 months I did this by training as hard as I could every day sometimes twice a day, as long as you sleep well you will be fine as a teenager, teen muscles have rapid bounce back capabilities so you should be training as frequently as you can to utilize that advantage

  • Ok gents, I’m going all in. I’m 45, a recovering clean and sober addict, a proud father and in need of a total body and mind transformation. Well I have the mind part down for now, what I need is the body. Figure they both come hand in hand anyways. Any good motivational tips from someone who has done this program? Your input is welcome..

  • Actually it’s more of the compound movements which are gonna get you jacked! You only mentioned Incline bench and barbell squats. But more to point, focus mostly on Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Press, Overhead Press, Dips, and Bent Over Rows!

  • Just started this video, but curious if you felt this is a good starting point for someone who’s been out of weightlifting for around a year. I’ve had injury and tons of excuses keep me away, and I’m hoping to begin again. I’ve lost tons of strength and muscle mass. Just watched your “Creatine 101” video. Loving the content and knowledge. Keep up the good work. Jay
